Clean store, they have parking and elevator access. I was able to find my item and check out smoothly. The staff is so so. Typical for Michael’s. I’ve never met any outstanding employees at any Michael’s location l. They all act like you are bothering them when you ask them a question

I've had custom framing done at Michaels in Studio City many times and all of my pieces look terrific. I recently went to this La Brea location for my 2nd piece of artwork and it came out wonderfully. Ava is great and she did an amazing job. I had it done as a diamond too, where it hangs from the corner... it's so unique. I love Michaels.

This Michaels has easy parking and the staff was helpful que. I was looking for something. This location does not carry fabric though, so I had to go to a different store.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Michael’s custom framing service. We paid $300 for a custom frame with matting, and the entire process was a nightmare. When I went to pick up the order, they couldn’t find it anywhere in their system despite me providing every possible name and phone number. After waiting 30 minutes, they took a note for the person who worked on the order (who wasn’t there that day). The next day, we spent another 30 minutes on the phone for the same person to figure out where our order was, only to discover it had been put under the wrong name. When my boyfriend finally picked it up and brought it home, the frame was poorly done. The print had fallen inside the frame, revealing the white cardboard behind it, and the clamps on the back of the frame weren’t even secured properly, and there wasn’t any coverage on the back to hide the cardboard. For $300, this level of service and quality is unacceptable. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration—go elsewhere for framing services.

Glad to see a Michael's store closer to L.A ( Hollywood) area. This store is a bit smaller than the Burbank or Glendale location so they may not carry the same inventory. It's a very nice, modern, clean and well organized store. Looking forward to shopping in here again. There is validation parking available aswell as street parking in front of store.

The workers there can be very helpful...i had an issue with a $5 coupon and the cashier chicky was very patient with me... hella appreciate her! ( Will post her name next time, just have to go back there..)

Selection was more limited than Joanne’s (at this location at least). But we were able to find an alternative for what we were looking at the store, and the staff were kind.

Experience: This is my go to store, I live 8 minutes away. For the home projects that I've done, I have been able to find all the products I need. The store is organized, never too crowded. I've gone to purchase a few frames, for the style I went for, they have had exactly the color and fit I need. I haven't gotten anything custom framed, but I've only ever seen someone back there once. Selection: Good variety on everything! Never a miss Parking: On the weekend when it's busier, I park on the roof of the parking structure. During the week, in the evening, it's super easy to find parking right at the front of the store. The street isn't as busy to, super safe. Customer Service: It's eh. No one will go out of their way to ask you a question or for help, which I don't mind, since I like to wonder. When I have asked questions though, the staff has been bland and blah. Verdict: Will continue to go here, it has everything I need, and parking is always easy. Plus, they have a Target and Sprouts nearby. A good shopping place.

This is one of the closest craft stores to my house. So I appreciate the convenience of having it nearby. Parking is always really easy, and this store is huge, well lit, clean and organized. Typically well stocked and I can almost always find what I'm looking for. I've only ever had great customer service, and I love catching a sale or stacking a coupon.

For the past month I've been on a frames and framing mission. One day after leaving Ikea, I went to the Michael's in Burbank looking for a frame and wound up talking to the person in the framing department because my picture's dimensions weren't standard. Custom framing, she said. Great! I said, and I almost started to do it there when I remembered that I don't live in Burbank so I should probably so this at the Michael's closer to home: The La Brea store. HUGE MISTAKE. In the past 1 1/2 weeks I've been in this La Brea store 4 times, called 3 times and still haven't been able to get anything done. It's been a case of 1) no one is there in the framing department, 2) the person working near the framing department doesn't actually do that work, or 3) the very specific note that the person in #2 left for whomever actually works in the framing department to call me back was completely ignored. Just made phone call #4. Spoke to a guy in framing who said "She leaves notes all the time; usually you can't even read them." Bull. I saw the note and it was extremely legible. Why a retail operation would make it so damned difficult when a customer it trying to give them money is beyond me but here we are. Guess who will now gladly make a return trip to the Burbank Michael's?

I came to Michaels looking for painting supplies but I was so excited when I saw a paint by numbers kit! I've always wanted to do one so I just had to have it once I saw it. There's a variety of paintings to choose from ranging from Easy-Challenging. I love Michaels because the store is always clean and the service is always friendly every time I visit. This location is also one of the bigger Michaels that I've been to. You'll probably find what you're looking for at this location! The kit I purchased was only $10, the paint and brushes weren't the best. Some of the paint was very opaque and the brush hairs weren't the most precise. However, I was able to make it work. I think for the price, it was totally worth it! The kit also comes with a wooden display hanger. The painting itself took about 4 days for me to complete but I'm so happy with the results! I recommend anyone who loves art to try out these kits. But I do have to warn you that it takes A LOT of time and patience to complete. They are meant for people with no experience with painting which is also a plus. I'm excited to come back to Michaels and do another paint by numbers!

This place is so poorly managed, somehow it takes 20 to 30 minutes to check out with your two cheap items every time you visit. God bless you if you have to pick up a package from the sham of a UPS access point here, it will take 40 minutes for 2 cashiers to find it. What is seriously wrong with these people? They are always having the longest line no matter what time of day, one really slow cashier, and you can't get the help you need. Tried to pick up a package here two times. One time they lost it. The second time, I waited 20 minutes in line with five people at 9 AM on a Sunday. Decided I do not have more time to waste a Michaels for God sake, so I left and they can just return my package instead. What a joke of a business.

customer service was great and for some reason this Michael's has a lot more things than all of the other Michaels' stores i've been too. HOWEVER LETS NOT FORGET THIS IS A BAD AREA!! I decided to go with my daughter and while shopping someone stole my Catalytic converter from underneath my pilot within minutes!!! The parking lot as we learned does not have cameras!!! Regret driving all this way for this Michael's store.

I cannot speak highly enough about Monique and her fabulous customer service. She is an absolute asset to the store. Calling in for items over the phone can be quite difficult. But she understood immediately, knew the color ,knew the item and was able to secure it, and put it on hold for me. This is my fifth store I called and the difference between her customer service and the other stores was massive. I would highly recommend this employee, she really saved the day.

This new location is amazing! It's super clean and organized and the staff is sooo nice!! Houston was such an amazing help throughout my shopping experience. He went above and beyond to answer all of my questions. Freddy was my cashier and we had a lovely convo and he really made me feel like he cared about my needs:) Sergio outside was so welcoming and brings cheer to the store! Shout out to the awesome staff! New favorite location for sure

I did not know this particular Michaels location even existed! It's sort of in the middle of a busy street but in a rather unassuming building structure with the entrance being on the street level. The entrance to the free underground parking lot is off of La Brea. When I entered the lot, the gate arm automatically went up. I went on an early Saturday afternoon, and there was plenty of parking and the store only had a handful of customers around. Although this store is smaller than the other locations, it was well-stocked. There weren't very many employees around, but all the aisles were very clean and organized so I didn't have an issue finding items. I am looking forward to going back.

I went into Michaels looking for finger weight yarn and found crochet thread. I noticed the thread was not applicable for the yarn discount, but the cashier, May, was incredibly helpful. They were patient with my questions about yarn and coupons. They even gave me some pointers to help with my craft! They were also very friendly. Overall, I was very satisfied, and I am thankful to May.

Visited Micheals today with my little girl getting goodie bags for her class - and as luck would have it she had to go to the restroom - after searching all over the store for a worker to open it for me I couldn't let her use it. I mean come one we're coming out of a pandemic and cleanliness should be of the upmost importance EVERYWHERE! I mean come one that didn't just happen - I did take pics and showed the girl at the counter who just said " thanks for showing me. I'm sure it was cleaned but why does it have to be someone showing you ? Don't y'all check ?

I was really happy when I heard this location was opening I've been here three times and every time there has been an issue with their signage not being placed correctly and then they make it seem like I'm stupid for not double checking their accuracy with signage. On top of that they seem to have no knowledge about some of the items they sell. A customer that was interested in buying a circuit had to ask other customers his questions because the staff had no answers for any of his questions. I will be driving out to other locations moving forward. This location is an absolute mess.

They sold me a defective sewing machine and wouldn't exchange it because it was more than 30 days past the purchase date. I didn't know it was defective sooner because I waited that long to use it. It came with a broken needle. I figured ok just change the needle but when I unscrewed the needle it wouldn't come out. So I decided to exchange it. The cashier insinuated that I broke it and I had to repeatedly explain that it came that way. I didn't want my money back I just wanted to exchange for the same thing. Anyways, I went to another Michaels and they did the exchange no questions asked. I received way better customer service from the other location. All I got at the La Brea location was attitude.

The staff is so uneducated about where items are in the store. I came in for a sewing machine and was told by an employee they keep them locked behind the counter. First of all, how am I supposed to make a decision while not being able to see what products are in stock? Once at the register I was told the machines are actually in the back. So to the back I went were there were children's machines. I found a "card" to take to the front of a full size machine only to be told they weren't in stock. I left the store because I was so frustrated at this point. I came back in and bought a machine twice as much and it took two employees 5 minutes to get the alarm off the thing. Get your shit together, this location is TERRIBLE

I ordered some items online and i went to pick it up for 15 miles and when i got there they just said they canceled my order cause they dont have the items without even noticing me, not coool at all 15 miles with traffic
