"We don’t really get the obsession a certain East Coast city has with finding the perfect slice, but we do like Michael’s, a New York-style pizza spot in Beverly Grove. Every slice is under $4, and you can get whole pies delivered to your door. We like the ricotta and garlicky spinach-topped Bianca a whole lot, and if you’re in the mood for something simple, and the cheese pizza has plenty of crunch and properly melted cheese. There are tables on the sidewalk, where you might find yourself after a long night out - they’re open until midnight on weekdays, and 3am on weekends." - Brett Keating

We stopped in to grab a pizza to go, called ahead, which made the purchase and wait easy. Greeted outside by the staff who was on a smoke break, didn't mind it but really should be out back or away from business entrance. We ordered the Margherita pizza and looked hot and fresh. Lacking a lot of flavor and taste. I'm disappointed but will try again in the future.

Disappointing Experience Despite Friendly Service. While vacationing, we wanted to support a local pizza spot and gave Michael’s a try. Unfortunately, despite the restaurant being nearly empty on a Monday night, we waited a surprisingly long time for our order. The place was clean, but definitely in need of some updates. While the sauce was flavorful and the toppings were fresh, the crust lacked taste and really brought the pizza down. For the quality, the prices felt too high. On a positive note, our waitress was friendly and attentive, which we appreciated. Sadly, overall, it wasn’t a place we’d return to.

Google
The food is bland. We ordered hawaiian pizza but gave us cheese pizza and we didn't notice until we got to our hotel. The calamari doesn't taste anything same as the fettuccine alfredo with chicken. Might as well go to dominos if you're craving for pizza.

Google
Ordered an Italian sub, tomatoes and mozzarella and Greek salad. All we're absolutely fantastic. I'd oder again from for sure. When I called in the order, the gentleman was very nice and repeated back the order. Order came pretty quick. The order was 100 correct. Great food!

Great food and the service was fast and efficient. I personally love the Mega Calzone and my wife got the baked Ziti. Whatever you get it's sure to be awesome!

Google
Friend recommended so gave it a try . Worst experience ever dining in the place and for that matter any place . My Waitress had zero personality and was very short with our group .. let’s start with she got order wrong and had to be called out about it which she had no empathy about as if i interrupted her.. let’s delve into the order which was downright disgusting .. ordered the crab stuffed shrimp over linguine which was $ 23.00. Per person . We placed two orders of that meal and two others placed a pizza order .. they waited approximately an hour to get a multi item pizza that failed to have any sauce on it and the dine in was not busy but the worst overall experience was my and my wife’s crab stuffed shrimp and linguini .. it was disgusting .. it was linguini in oil and the stuffing was a complete lie and deception of false advertising .. the stuffing had no crab at all in it.. it actually had ramen or angel hair pasta cut up too deceive as being crab. The stuffing was dissected by me and my wife and we came to the same conclusion that there was no crab and this place was deceiving us and other customers. I brought this to the waitresses attention and to my shock, there was no one in management on duty and available to address our complaints. Furthermore she did not care but stated she called her manager and advised us there’s nothing he could or would do to address these issues related deceptive food practices and wait time . I will never ever grace this pizza and pasta place again and I will warn others to do the same. Their food practices are unacceptable deceptive and downright disgusting. Just foul!!!!

Stopped here while traveling, and very glad we did! Dee the waitress was amazing, so nice and attentive. We ordered the mega calzone, Stromboli, grilled chicken sub and penne ala vodka with shrimp. All of it tasted amazing, we were very pleased. Great flavor, temperature and plenty of food! Atmosphere is very pleasant. We will be coming back if we are in the area again.

Google
Sicilian pizza was delicious! Cooked perfect. I get it that it's located at the beach, but 28.00 for 1 large pizza is a little pricey. At least I got some left for lunch tomorrow!

Yelp
If I could give a half star, I'd go with 3.5. We ordered takeout, so can't comment on the ambiance. We had fried mushrooms, and two pizzas, a Mega and a Meat Lovers. Sadly, the fried mushrooms were disappointing, small with too much breading. The two pizzas were good, but not outstanding. The service was excellent, the order was ready on time and piping hot. We live close so would probably go back more for convenience than the food.

Yelp
Seated quickly. A true Italian food smell the minute you walk in. Our waitress was even Italian. Great service the food was delicious. Before arriving at Michael's I had almost given up Italian food for dinner. The stop before this was Little Italy, and everyone there was Asian with the exception of the bartender. I didn't feel like experiencing Asian Italian version of frozen entrees.

Cletus V.

Yelp
Good service and their bread was outstanding. Pizzas looked very good, their Alfredo sauce was very bland so I didn't exactly enjoy what I ordered. Reasonably priced and worth checking out.

Yelp
Little one wanted spaghetti so we figured we'd give this place a go. As soon as we walked in, we saw a Myrtle beach policeman eating so we just KNEW it would be good if a local was eating here. (Trying to steer clear of bigger crowds). I just want to say that I will be dreaming of these soft, warm; garlic knots for weeks. They were so good, the little one told us how many the adults were allowed to eat so we could all have the same amount. The fried ravioli was super good, very cheesy. I had the grilled chicken pesto panini and pasta salad as a side. Even though it seemed like it took forever for the chicken panini to come out (server told us afterwards that the chicken was cooked to order - which I can't really complain about having freshly cooked chicken), the panini was worth the wait in my opinion. The pasta salad was good, but nothing to write home about. But overall, great experience and very friendly server.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to grab take out from here on a Monday night. It was not too crowded and I have eaten here before and had a pleasant experience. We placed our order, I got a gyro platter with fries and a salad and he got a steak and cheese with fries. Our food took a good 30 minutes and I actually had to say something to the cashier after she gave another couple their food and they ordered well after us. So we get back to the hotel and unpack. My gyro had so much sauce on it, sauce was oozing out both ends. After the first bite, my pita split down the middle. My husband says his sub had squeeze cheese on it instead of real cheese. He through his food away before I could look at it. Needless to say, we will probably never patronize this establishment again.

Yelp
Simply delicious Italian dishes! This place had great reviews so we gave it a try...and were NOT disappointed. Tasty food, large portions, fast service, and great prices...we loved the server, Dee. She was fast, courteous, and all over that restaurant, serving all the tables - solo! Yet, we got our food quickly, and to order - zero mistakes. I can't say enough. Come check out Michael's Pizza (and more). You will leave happy!

Yelp
We had four in our party and met for lunch on a Friday. The waitress was nice and friendly. We were all on the same bill but each one of us received our entrees at different times. I had ordered an Italian sub and by the time I record mine two of the people on our party had already finished their meals. The waitress apologized and the owner came out and delivered my sandwich but never apologized nor offered to buy my meal or a dessert. All of the entrees were just okay.

Yelp
Grabbed a couple of hot sandwiches from here and we were impressed. The cheesesteak was delicious. We also ordered the chicken Parmesan which was out of this world. Good eats!!

Richard L.

Yelp
Great pizza, great atmosphere, fast, hot and traditional. A little hidden gem here in MB.

Alexis B.

Yelp
Amazing food. Great hospitality and the manager that was working was so nice and welcoming even while it was busy. Will definitely be coming here when at Myrtle!!

Susan T.

Yelp
The stuffed mushroom linguine was wonderful! Lasagna was mediocre. Caesar salad also delicious. We would eat here again!

Sawyer N.

Yelp
The food was spectacular and our server was very kind and outgoing. The New York theme was amazing with all the pictures of the old Yankee Stadium and famous train station. 10/10 would come back if visiting SC.

Stef A.

Yelp
Hidden Gem, food came out quick and was delicious, Dee was amazing. Recommend to anyone in the area looking for a good pizza!

C D.

Yelp
Love the pizza. Some when we are in town. Staff friendly. The location is typical pizza shop. But it is great crust. Good sauce. The calamari was not a good value IMO so probably won't order that again but will definitely come back for pizza.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I just moved to myrtle beach area back in June, we only have ever visited so we're always excited to try spots that are new to us. We decided we wanted Italian food for lunch and I was really craving a Stromboli. Whenever we got to michaels and looked over the menu, I had realized they only have 1 choice of Stromboli and I was very disappointed.. Decided to go with something different because it had a few ingredients I didn't care for. For an appetizer we decided to get garlic knots and they were very good, however we're not garlicky at all. The Rigatoni Ala Vodka is what I got as an entree and it was a little overpowering with the Alfredo and not so much marinara, however I had left over marinara from the garlic knots so I dumped and mixed that in and it made it a little better. The rigatoni was served with a side salad and It was one of the worst salads I've ever had, looked really good but tasted awful, as if it had gone bad and the dressing was very light and didn't pair well. My boyfriend got the chicken parm sandwich and It was noticeably over cooked, but he was able to finish it. The server kept walking by our table and was sitting with other guests that looked like it was her friends outside of work for 5-10 minutes and we had to eat our food without a drink until a kind lady came by and checked on us and refilled them. I wish this could've been our spot! Maybe down the line, but I wouldn't recommend based off our experience.

Yelp
I tried Michael's Pizza tonight for the first time, it was a carry out order I picked up myself so I can't evaluate delivery or in store service. The pizza was very enjoyable, the toppings were plentiful and fresh. The crust/dough was a tad more chewy or tough than I usually like but it was still a pizza I would recommend. When I picked the pizza up I observed a very clean and welcoming dining area. The store employees were extremely nice and courteous. I plan on a dine in experience with Michael's soon because there pasta offerings looked pretty intriguing and the atmosphere in the restaurant was very inviting. If you're in Myrtle Beach try Michael's!

Bridget F.

Yelp
Dee was incredible ! She was the only staff waiting tables tonight . Her customer service skills were stellar. The way she waited on her tables and brought us our food in a quick, efficient manner, it was as if the restaurant was fully staffed. We ordered the cheesy garlic bread, the large Greek salad, and a large pepperoni pizza. It was incredible. The food was brought out in a timely manner. The food presentation was immaculate. We love Dee. She is amazing! Would come here many times over !

Gareath M.

Yelp
The staff was great very friendly and the food was excellent and fast even though there were bad storms out they took care of dinner for us had a gyro and a Sicilian pizza

Scott G.

Yelp
The staff is very friendly and the pizza is definitely on point!! The whole family enjoy their pie slices.

Barb T.

Yelp
Food was amazing we got pizza spaghetti and cheese sticks. Very family friendly place. Close to Hilton.

KJ J.

Yelp
I ordered the 16 inch buffalo chicken pizza for takeout via Uber Eats. I added bacon on it for $2.50 Beware it is SPICY! But I like spicy so it was perfect for me, and the delivery didn't really take long (35 minutes). My total was about $29 after tax & tip. I can't wait to try other menu items here!

Chloe M.

Yelp
Alright, I know pizza is primary but let's talk salad, shall we? When I can cut my lettuce with a fork, I know it's going to be crisp and refreshing. The Greek salad was so good, my 4 year old son who only eats bread these days ate it with only the initial resistance to being force fed vegetables. The Stromboli was amazing and turned my 6 year old daughter into a feral child protecting her plate and raiding others. My husband, a New Yorker, gave the pepperoni pizza the stamp of approval and I agree that was the best NY style pizza I've had in recent months, and there are a couple great spots back home. We ordered delivery from our hotel and our order arrived in less than the given time frame, so 5 stars all-around.

Michelle N.

Yelp
They got everybody's else's food but mine even though she wrote it down, she even said that she forgot my order of a simple meat ball sub and the prices are unbelievable. I do not recommend this place to anybody, and there's no ac or fans in this place witch makes in unbelievably hot in here. There are also flies in this place witch is actually disgusting, also the workers are not wearing any gloves or hairnets. Even worse they make there own tip we can't even make the decision our selves makes no damn since. Worst experience ever. HAS NO AC IM SO HOT BRO HELP-

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Food was amazing!! The pasta and pizza were freshly made and cooked. Will come back again. This is truly a hidden gem here in Myrtle. Must try!

Betty D.

Yelp
It may not be the fanciest pizza place in Myrtle Beach, but definitely one of the best! Second year going back for their Meat Lovers pizza! Great pizza Michael's!

Joe L.

Yelp
Gluten Free pizza was phenomenal and the service was even better. Very nice atmosphere as well

Timothy T.

Yelp
I had not eaten here before, nor had I ever heard of it until friends suggested we get take out from Michael's. There were four of us so we ordered a few different items. Among which was a order of fried calamari, stuffed mushrooms, vodka penne with chicken, artichoke with pasta, and a chicken parm sub. Nothing here that I would ever order again. The best thing here was prob the calamari and that was just mediocre. I wouldn't go back.

Joe B.

Yelp
This place went down hill, they used to make a ok pizza. I got two slices with sausage, mushrooms and a tea for $10. I had to get my glasses to confirm the tiny little things, like 5 or 6 where sausage, the 6 slivers of mushrooms were easy to spot. Bad crust and bland sweet sauce. Served cold too. They need to remove the New York from their sign and replace with Gas Station Pizza.

Anne A.

Yelp
This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but for us it's a Myrtle Beach staple. We've been coming here over the past 17 years and recently came back with our two teenagers for dinner. Everything was exactly how we remembered it, with the cute dimly lit booths and the no nonsense Italian, especially the pizza. We're very picky about our pizza. We like the crust thin with a good chew to it, and real toppings. We got a mega (supreme) and a white pizza, both excellent. Homemade crust with simple sauce and real cheese, just the way it should be. We usually get the antipasto salad but they were out this time, so we got the Greek, which was also excellent. If you're looking for old school, solid pizza this place cannot be beat. The prices are also awesome! We'll keep coming back every time we're in town :)

Leslie K.

Yelp
Excellent food. Nice surprise. Lovely staff The stuffed artichokes we're great! Also nice dinner salads-very fresh!

C. G.

Yelp
Do you know how hard it is to call a legitimate pizzaria in Myrtle Beach and place an order over the phone for pickup or delivery. Way too hard! First, never use the flyer stuffed under your door that those are rip offs. This is a legit place within blocks of most of the family friendly hotels. The lady who took our order was kind, well spoken, and did I mention KIND! PLUS, the food was delicious, fresh, and priced right!

Scott G.

Yelp
We've been long time diners at Michael's, known for their NY pizza. This week my wife and I ordered a pie to pick up. We are retired and don't want to dine in due to COVID. The sign on the door said MUST WEAR MASKS except for eating. Well at the counter we're two young ladies whose masks were down around their necks, not covering faces, and behind them several men with no masks. No regard for sharing the virus. I paid with credit card and had to sign with their pen, the only one. People should realize that signatures are no longer needed for orders under $50. Anyway, when we got the pizza home it definitely was not a NY crust. (I'm originally from NY). Chewy, thickish, no oil used. Very disappointed in this one. Since we were hungry we ate it anyway but it was not up to their usual good food. Did the good chefs move to the new store in Carolina Forest?

Glenn R.

Yelp
Great Italian pizza It was delivered hot and tasty The ingredients were authentic and crust was made in store and not frozen

Asia B.

Yelp
Food was really delicious best wings I had in a while. The Stromboli was huge but had a little to much onions for fiancé taste. Stuffed shrimp was great the pasta needed seasoned. Individual sliced pizza was a hit with the kids. For the bad they only had one server that had the entire restaurant. Granted it wasn't that big but she was frazzled. She wasn't attentive she was rushed and practically throwing things to the table. There was a guy that came by to drop off silverware and say how's it going. Like dude HELP HER MORE THAN THAT we would come back but probably order to go.also the back of the restaurant had a off putting smell the bathroom wasn't the cleanest

Mike M.

Yelp
We really enjoy their Hawaiian pizza and ask for a crispy crust if that's what you like. We have it almost every Saturday night. Can highly recommend. Have only tried a few of their hot dishes and they were also good.

Mark A.

Yelp
Service is horrible. They use a third party app for online orders and they don't work well together. Michael's can't blame Slice when they run out is items and can't figure out how to communicate to process the order in a timely fashion. Buyer beware. Go to Hot Tomato!

Sarah G.

Yelp
We ordered delivery from Michael's on a Friday night of our stay (At The Breakers). We were quoted about 45 min but it arrived closer to 30-35 min!! We ordered 2 lg pizzas, 30 wings and a chicken parm dinner and it was around $81. (Mom then tipped another $10). Pizza was, meh, just ok. The wings though, were AWESOME! We ALL agreed they were AMAZING! Despite being delivered, they remained super CRISPY - which I LOVE! My husband enjoyed the chicken parm. The kids ate the pasta it came with and I ate the salad. We would definitely order again! Oh yeah, the Yelp special of 2 pizzas for $18.99 does NOT apply. The guy on the phone sounded confused when I told him about it. He checked with someone else and they said that they don't honor the Yelp deal.

Tobi C.

Yelp
Love the basil in the sauce it has an amazing flavor. I love small local pizza places and this one checks every box for me.

Mark V.

Yelp
Ordered via Slice. 40 minutes passed beyond the time it said it would be delivered. I called the restaurant which the email said to do. The person on the phone was nice but didn't offer anything. Just said sorry and that the app was basically hit or miss. I called back a 2nd time just to order direct. I was immediately put on hold and never picked up. What a joke.

Joshua C.

Yelp
Poor service, waitress couldn't do a simple task like get a water. If your in town for vacation highly recommend skipping this spot. Food was out quick but tasted horrible. Building was pretty dirty as well. I've had better service and food from mcdonalds...

Lisette G.

Yelp
We visit Michael's several times each time we are in Myrtle Beach ! Service is always quick and friendly, food delicious and prices reasonable! Our kind of place !

Savannah P.

Yelp
Thank you so much!!! This was delicious, fast, and saved us in a pinch. The staff was so nice, the place was spotless, and pizza was great!!!

Kerry B.

Yelp
My new favorite Italian restaurant near Carolina Forest!! When a meal starts out delish with homemade salad dressings, fresh salad and homemade bread you have high hopes. I got the manicotti and wow. All homemade, the sauce was excellent and portions are filling. This will become a regular place for us!! Reasonable prices and attentive staff!!

Patty C.

Yelp
I picked up my ordering wish I had left it there.I got shrimp scampi. It tasted like plain spaghetti with plain shrimp. Not good at all.I a!so ordered chicken & eggplant parm.it was ok. Not worth the money.Next time I will go to Olive garden better food.I would give a one star & that is stretching it.

Thomas M.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to get pizza in Myrtle beach. I have been sampling pizza all over the area for over 25 years and they are the best.

Peyton L.

Yelp
Had a mind blowing experience my first time at Michaels pizza. Ordered one pepperoni pizza to go with our order that we ate inside. It took almost an hour and a half to get the actual pizza where many other people had already eaten, gone, and been replaced by others. Our waitress tried to make us stand and give up our table because THEY were taking too long to make our food. And when I decided not to tip on my way out, the waitress printed a new receipt and FOLLOWED ME OUT TO MY CAR, BEGGING FOR A FEW DOLLARS. I've worked in food service for years and you just don't do that. I will not be coming back and I'll make sure everyone I know does not either. Please learn some customer service

Trice R.

Yelp
We popped in town for a quick quarantined getaway. We ordered a large meat lovers pizza and a greek salad. This salad was on iceberg lettuce with feta, tomatoes and tons of olives. This is the worst greek salad that I have ever had. The pizza was just okay for me. This place is not for me.

Carolanne M.

Yelp
Best slice on the beach! We moved down south from Nj about 13 years ago and Michael's was my best find. It was great then and it's still great now! Nobody makes dough like them. Their sauce is good and cheese is great. I always find pizzerias around here have very cheap, less-than-stellar cheese and strange flavored sauces. Anyway, its always clean in the restaurant, amazing & attentive service, quality food, and REAL PIZZA! As my two year old says, "mmmmmm dat good pizzi, mommy!"

Bob S.

Yelp
This place was recommended to us. I'm glad we went. I just had the best Philly beef and cheese I've ever had. My wife enjoyed her Italian sub as well. Seating is closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic but they're doing carry out and delivery. Subs are securely wrapped in foil and my hot sub was still piping hot a half hour later. We'll look forward to eating our way through their menu!
