I went for my first time on sweetest day. There was trivia going on that night. It was such a nice experience and a fun night. I will return.

Amazing service, I mean absolutely the best service I have ever had. Fast, respectful, and professional. The wine selection is of course great because well it's Michigan. If you like wine and you haven't been here your missing out on a great time. Oh and the live music is fantastic. Update: Came back 6 years later, service is still amazing, and they are very dog friendly and brought out water for my Griswold.

This was my first but definitely not my last visit. I really like this place. The wine selections are plentiful. The music created a perfect wine drinking vibe. The team was nice, attentive, and knowledgeable. This was the best way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

What a hidden gem. Great staff. Friendly, knowledgeable, great service. The Owners are hands on. Food was good. Great value on the wine tasting, plus you get a $5 credit towards the purchase.

MBTB is a local treasure! The atmosphere is welcoming and perfect for a date night, friends getting together, or even stopping in by yourself! They have something for everyone and the service has always been amazing. I love the commitment to Michigan products from the wine to the snacks all the way to the merchandise. They also offer so many fun events and classes and put a lot of thought and creativity into everything they do! I have been to all of the locations and each one is wonderful. Cheers!

Service leaves a lot to be desired. Flagged the waitress down 40 minutes ago and im still waiting to order a glass of wine. Theu brought our flight out quickly, then forgot about us. It's been an hour since we finished our flight, 40 minutes since I flagged her down. Honestly I'm about to just walk out.

My wife and I enjoyed the ambiance of the downtown Auburn Hills area, lots of people around. I appreciate they have a patio here, but we opted to sit inside to avoid the heat on the evening we went. I love the concept- wines from wineries around Michigan that usually we wouldn't even know about. Maybe they're way up north or wherever, but this place brings it right to the neighborhoods of Metro Detroit so you can try a few to see what you like. The flights were bit pricey, 3 of $16, but the pours were generous. I actually would've preferred half-pours if I could've tried three more instead for that price. I didn't find anything I couldn't live without, but my wife and I each ordered 3 different wines in our flights, so we could actually both try 6. Therefore, we went with 6 dry reds, because that's what she drinks. I liked a few of them. I'd definitely return to try some more. A good date night. This is the second location we've tried, Shelby Township being the other.

Love this concept! Wines from different Michigan wineries all available at the same place. They have a large number of wines on the menu. You can do a tasting of 3 for $16. You could also get a glass of wine or a bottle (corking fee is $12). I feel the prices are somewhat high for tasting and bottles. Lots of seating inside and some outside seating. Public parking parking lot very close by. They have some food and you can order paninis from the brewery next door.

I love going here for the wine and some snacks during the summer they have nice outdoor seating and a great patio furniture set up. They have tire nights and cooperate with concerts in the park. But the real joy is all the great Michigan wines they offer.

It's been awhile since we visited but I came across a photo in my phone and was reminded how great of a date night this was! We had great service, including a knowledgeable server that helped us decide what to order and how to order. I often get the same thing when I'm at a restaurant because I'm too nervous to try something I may not like but not here! It was a fantastic experience and we were able to order pizza from down the street and have it delivered straight to our table! I loved being able to support two local businesses at the same time! Will definitely need to go back soon!

Came here today for the first time for their Girl Scout cookies & wine pairing ($20), which was a lot of fun. We got five cookies to try and five 2-oz. pours of wine. We also each got $5 off if we wanted to order any wine, so I left with a bottle of one of their sweet reds, that they had paired with the Samoas. Customer service here was excellent, and this location is a lot bigger than the Royal Oak location, which I had been to previously. We hung out for a while playing a game that we had brought, and they checked on us now and then to see if we needed anything, but didn't intrude. They also have some Michigan-made products like Dave's Sweet Tooth toffee, and others. Definitely would come back to this location again.

Please support during this shut down! We rented a bubble and had the best night! Thanks for happy memories during a not so happy time!

This is one of the very reason we love going local. There a few of these around the area but we dropped in to the Auburn Hills location and were not disappointed! We walked in and frankly were pleasantly overwhelmed with the number of area wines in the offing! They do this wine flight of five that we found intriguing and we each picked five different ones from the menu to share! We got the meat and cheese board too. All very good! Teresa was good with her flight but I opted for one big pour of one of the reserve reds. Yum. Oh and if you drink there you can get a discount on bottles to take! Of course, standard for us we left with some great Michigan wines to enjoy back home. We're not from the area there but this will be a regular stop for us when we are! If you're from the area and haven't enjoyed one of their locations please make a point to stop in. Staff is very friendly and product savvy too! Great way to spend a SummerFest 2019 afternoon!

This is such a fun place to come. I went here with a meetup group. We definitely took over some of the tasting room but they were very accommodating to us and made it work. They have a wide variety of wine to taste with different amounts that you can try depending on what you order. They were very attentive and made sure that everyone got their wine. They did an awesome job of keeping everyone's orders straight even though there were over 25 of us. Per what our server told me, they are always switching up their wine so if you fine one you like, you should definitely buy a bottle. They have a great loyalty program get 10 stars and get a free flight of wine. I will definitely be coming back.

I am a big fan of MBTB, they have done a fantastic job of supporting Michigan wineries and other local businesses. We are so lucky to live in a state that produces so many high quality wines. Usually you'd have to spend a weekend in Traverse City or the Michigan Lakeshore to take in all the wines but MBTB has brought them to the metro Detroit area in 3 locations. I of course being the wine snob that I am, have been to all 3. I literally have nothing negative to say. This place is a gem. This location in particular has great staff, Pete and Whitney are always entertaining. I love that in addition to great MI wine, they also serve cheese, snacks, and chocolates from local businesses. They also often do special events where a local chef comes in and cooks a meal paired with wine. While this location I don't think offers trivia, the two others have Sporacle evenings which is so much fun and we have won a gift card for winning the trivia game! They have great live music on Friday evenings and other special events all the time. If you like wine please stop in. Enjoy a flight, try something new and support a small business that cares about other small businesses as well!

Although I am not a wine drinker this is a great spot. Downtown Auburn Hills is struggling a bit but this place is always busy. Prices for per glass and flights are a great price. Staff are very knowledgeable and able to help pick out a great Michigan wine. They also have a wine club which has several events each month. Haven't tried the royal oak or Shelby two location but great to see the success of the owners. Put this on the list!

Back that glass up...Girl Scout cookies and wine?!?! Wine not? What could be better! Came to Michigan by the Bottle Auburn Hills for the first time for a Girl Scout cookies and wine pairing, two of my favorite things. The wine pairings came with five 2 oz wine samples and five Girl Scout cookies for $20 with a $5 credit towards a wine bottle purchase. It was a really fun event! The sommelier explained how they paired the wine and cookies from lighter wines to increasingly sweeter more full bodied wines and paired the wines to be sweeter than the cookies so that the flavor of the wine wasn't lost and stood up to the flavor of the cookies. One of my favorites was the Resort Pike sparkling Riesling paired with the lemony Savannah Smiles cookie. The wine was sweet and light and refreshing with a citrusy flavor. My other favorite was Rudy's Red, a sweet red blend with spicy candied fruit flavors paired with the Samoa. I purchased a bottle of the Rudy's Red. I will say that it is really too sweet to drink on its own and almost tastes like a dessert wine and definitely needs to be paired with a sweet dessert. The event concluded with a local Girl Scout selling cookies. It was a great event and we really enjoyed ourselves. After the event was over we played some board games we brought while sipping wine and socializing with friends. It's a great place to spend a Sunday afternoon. Wine flights are a great way to sample a few wines. Mini flights come with three 2 oz pours for $7 and a full flight comes with five 2 oz pours and a flight bite sampling of cheese and chocolate for $14. I've been to the Royal Oak location several times and this was my first time visiting the Auburn Hills location. It was a very nice location with very warm, friendly, welcoming staff. The architecture is more rectangular, long and narrow than the Royal Oak location. They also offer more food than Royal Oak, including pretzels, almonds, olives, popcorn, crackers, cookies, and chips and salsa whereas Royal Oak only offers charcuterie and chocolate samplers. You can also bring food into the facility. Auburn Hills advertised that if you order a pizza from Dimitri's you get free delivery and 10 percent off a wine bottle purchase and if you purchase a bottle and take it to Dimitri's, they'll wave the corkage fee. MBTB also offers several fun events like a monthly book club and Sporacle trivia on Friday and Saturday nights. Really love MBTB and I'd definitely love to return to the Auburn Hills location for more events in the future.

What a nice place. My husband I I wanted to try something new. We aren't much of wine drinkers but they had trivia on Saturday night that sounded fun. We tried multiples wines while we played and ordered a charcuterie board. All the staff was super friendly and accommodating. They allow outside food which we will make a note of for next time.

Really great spacious spot in downtown Auburn hills where you can sample local wines exclusively from Michigan. Everything there is local and served by very knowledgeable and personable staff. I went there for trivia night which happens every Saturday, but they also have a lot of different little events posted on their chalkboards like book clubs and cheese tasting. We tried the wine sampler which was $15 for 2-oz servings of three different wines of your choosing. Food is very overpriced and consists mostly of snacks like popcorn or charcuterie so I wouldn't recommend coming here with an empty stomach. The best thing on the menu is the soft pretzel with pimento cheese, which was delicious but not the most filling. My favorite part about this place is that they let you bring outside food to enjoy with the wine so feel free to bring paninis or pizza with you.

This place was pretty fun but the wines weren't spectacular. Too sugary. The meat and cheese platter was awesome!

This was the cutest place I never knew existed until a friend asked me to stop by and grab some wine for our upcoming trip! The ladies in there were so knowledgeable and friendly and gave me so many recommendations on where to go! The wine was amazing and great prices. Will be back

I'm in love with this tasting room. They deal exclusively in Michigan wines, and they've helped me choose bottles for gifts and meal pairings on several occasions. The staff are impressively knowledgeable and always helpful when it comes to discovering new wines. They also stock local cheeses and have delicious charcuterie. If you enjoy local wines or want to learn more about them, this is your spot!

I love MBTB! So many great local wines, and the tastings are generous (at a winery you normally get 1/2 oz, but these tastings are 2 oz). Every single staff member here is super friendly and they are always planning unique wine tasting events. I'd love to check out their other locations soon!

I'm a regular and love everything about it. The staff is amazing, and it's so great to try all the local goodies. The prices are very fair for the experience. They have great events (I wish I was able to make it so some more) and perks for regulars. It's not a bar atmosphere, but still laid back. Whenever I go I take the menu/paper from my previous visits so I know what I tasted and have notes of what I liked and why.

Lots of good wine and food here. meet up with some friends to try it out. Wow good stuff. We had the cheese and meat tray and some red wine. I was surprised how much fun we had. Its all made in MI.

Always a good time and the service is always good. We aren't wine connoisseurs but I do enjoy drinking it, and we never feel out of place asking questions. This weekend we rented a bubble for the first time, wasn't sure what to expect, but we had a great time and felt safe and the time flew by

A must try it's a 45 minute drive for me and I would go back , my husband and I went for a date we found a deal through Groupon and with that we got three mini pours and one big pour Rudys Red was one of my favorite so I went home with a bottle Peter was our host was very knowledgeable and laid back it was like being in our own dining room sipping wine .... we went on a Sunday afternoon it was so nice and peaceful beautiful decor and everything in my opinion was priced at a reasonable amount . You also get a cheese platter with crackers and olives ! We will be back !

Great wine and great service! Best location in Auburn Hills - great outdoor seating and large windows for those hot and cold days! Try the Marquette rose and Brys Riesling!

I met my friends here for an early dinner. None of us have been here before. We ate outside dining. We had to place our orders on these annoying pieces of paper that they kept putting in front of us and telling us to mark what we wanted and then they still got the order incorrect. The food was very good. It was a taco truck night. They have a strange thing called an uncorking fee. Where they charge you $12 to uncork the bottle that you're paying 18 dollars for. Thank goodness my friend looked at the bill after she paid it and saw that they over charged us $27 and change. They had me eating four tacos when I had one, they had us drinking five glasses of wine when we had three, and then they had us having three cupcakes when we had two. Like I said earlier, the food was good.

I just hosted a private event at MTB Auburn Hills and it was an amazing experience! It was a surprise 60th birthday party for my mom, and went off without a hitch due to the amazing staff! Kelly was super helpful leading up to the event and answered all of my many questions very promptly. The ladies working behind the bar during the event went ABOVE AND BEYOND for us. They helped us coordinate the big surprise moment, provided excellent service to all of our guests throughout the night, and were a huge help with clean up. The wine selection was amazing as well. We could not have asked for better service and a better location for this party! It was so special - and not to mention, super affordable! If you are thinking of hosting a private event at MTB, I highly recommend that you do! You won't be disappointed! :)

Wow. What a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend this place. Exactly what downtown Auburn Hills needed. Pleasant, freindly, informed staff and the wine selection is excellent. All Michigan wines. If you haven't tried Michigan wine in a while, you will be pleased how much better it has gotten. You will be happy with the variety, and yes, they do have some very nice bold dry red wine. It's like a Michigan wine tour local in metro Detroit.

We came down here on a Friday eve as we had a Groupon and they had free live music. The place was exceptionally clean, and very modern. The seating was somewhat limited and the layout was not the best to listen to the music. On a positive note it was not so loud that it you couldn't hear the person next to you. There were several wines to try. The staff did a good job at explaining what was what. We had cheese and crackers and olives for a plate appetizer. The cheese was good, I don't like olives but the crackers were awful. The prices here are more than average. Plan on spending 75 minutes for the entire excursion.

Kelly always takes care of us! MBTB has a great variety of wines to choose from, and snacks to go along with them. The staff is always friendly and answers any questions we have. The events they host are always fun, too!

Seriously such an amazing place to go hang out for a while! The manager care over and just decided to shave off half our bill just to show she cares for my fiancé and I (and the wine was amazing) and then she also decided to congratulate us with two free glasses of Chardonnay when she found out we were engaged. This is honestly a really fun place to hang out, with great wine, great service and WELL worth the money you spend for the service you get. 10/10 would recommend.

I've never had a bad experience at any of the Michigan by the Bottle tasting room! Every time I've gone either to use a groupon I bought or to go to an event I've had a great time and have been treated well by the staff. The staff is very knowledgeable and give great recommendations if you're looking for something different.
