Unlike Last Year, Portland’s New Taco Festival May Not Disappoint | Eater Portland

"Taking place March 24 from 4 to 10 p.m. at 2060 N Marine Drive, the 2nd Annual Taco and Tequila Festival is a focused, no-kitsch celebration organized by Alfredo Reyes and Jorge Navarro that intentionally distances itself from the earlier Portland Taco Festival fiasco. I learned that the event concentrates on two things — tacos and tequila — featuring about a dozen local taco makers (including blue maize vendors and house-made tortillas from La Cocina), roughly 15 tequila brands with blancos, reposados, añejos and cristalinos available for tasting, a mini Margarita Village, and select bottles for purchase; tickets are $35–$80. The organizers emphasize authenticity, plan stronger logistics by moving to the Expo Center to speed entry, and will donate a portion of proceeds to the Oregon Food Bank." - Emilly Prado

Great selection of taco trucks and vendors! I especially like the location (Canterbury Village) as it offers air conditioning in the buildings, REAL bathrooms, and lots of shaded seating. The entry fee is low cost and has a charity component every year. The live wrestling is always a hoot too!

The weather wasn't perfect but the tacos and entertainment were. Had a great time and went to at least 7 different food trucks. Loved the bands that also provided plenty of entertainment.

$5/taco, $6/corn on cob, $25 burrito hahaha I know inflation is bad but this is a huge waste of time and money. If these were the best tacos I’ve ever had it’d be one thing but I’ve had better at Taco Bell….seriously!

Not worth going. I was able to enter smoothly around noon on Sunday, but the tacos I had were not good at all though I chose the “Best food truck in Detroit in 2017-2018”. They were cold and the sauce tasted too strong. You’ll definitely find much better ones around Detroit. I didn’t have to wait for the tacos as I went there early, but the lines for food trucks were getting longer and longer…

OVERPRICED!! $10 PER person plus $5 parking. What does all of that get you? Basically just entry into Canterbury. After that you are left to use what is left of your money on the food trucks/vendors. Most of the vendors are selling the same thing and out of the 20 plus food trucks that are there, you are probably going to order from only one truck. Entertainment is very limited. You are basically getting absolutely NOTHING for your $ except for a chance to find lunch/dinner. Mind you are not the only one getting charged, so are the Vendors and food trucks.

My wife and I walked as we live close by and we were very excited to go and hoping it was going to be great! Boy were we disappointed, I can't imagine having to pay $10 to park and wait in long lines. Unfortunately, the atmosphere, set-up was like a cheap carnival. For sure will not go again.
