"Offering craft Korean Fried Chicken Sando and KFC TACO in the heart of LA Koreatown."
"This Korean fried chicken stand at 6th and Catalina St. makes some of the tastiest chicken sandwiches in town. Their spice levels start off with the crispy original at zero before progressively getting more intense. Their medium is a casual “slap in the face,” the extra hot is apparently a “punch in the face,” and their Michin Spicy is, well, “spicy AF.” But aside from their chicken’s blazing heat, Michindak prepares their tenders in true Korean fashion with a double-fried, crackly skin that generously absorbs any sauce you slather on top. This food stand also has our favorite brioche buns in LA, which glisten under the sun as you get lost in the trance of city traffic and mind-altering spice. The McDak Combo 1 is the go-to and includes some spicy steak cut fries and a hot chicken sandwich with creamy coleslaw, large pickle slices, and their spicy mayo-based sauce for additional heat and mild sweetness." - sylvio martins
"Specialties: Chicken Burger, Gang Jung Michin Dak is a freestanding fried chicken shed in the parking lot of a strip mall that makes delicious wings, tenders, gang jung (Korean-style popcorn chicken), and a chicken burger. You order at an iPad and choose your spice level, which ranges from original to “blood sweat and tears” spicy. The burger at “hot”-level spice is great, even if you might need to blow your nose between bites." - Brant Cox, Nikko Duren, Sylvio Martins
"There aren’t many frills at this fried chicken shack (it’s literally located in a parking lot across from a Chevron), but you don’t need them. Michin Dak is serving some the hottest, crispiest, and spiciest Korean chicken in town. All you need to do is choose between wings, tenders, or gang jung (a.k.a. Korean popcorn chicken), then determine your spice level. And be careful - there’s a “blood, sweat, and tears” option that’s not to be underestimated. Available for takeout and delivery." - brant cox, kat hong
"Maybe you’ve been social distancing for two days straight and have started having elaborate conversations about semantics with your cat (this is definitely not from personal experience). Anyway - clear your mind with Michin Dark. This spot in a Koreatown parking lot serves some of the best (and spiciest) Korean fried chicken around. The fried chicken sandwich is a required order - be careful of how spicy you get it - and add some gangjung (Korean popcorn chicken) to split with your cat." - brett keating
