Where to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Eve in Boston | Eater

"Paraphernalia abounds at this classic Irish pub in Sharon, where the walls and ceilings are a veritable museum of Irish swag. The bar starts its St. Patrick’s festivities on St. Patrick’s Eve, hosting a 5K to raise money for a local nonprofit. You can either work up a sweat before indulging in hearty Irish fare or cheer on the athletes from the sidelines, beneath the giant Jameson sign, while drinking the Irish whiskey." - Molly McDonough

Classic pub fare paired with genuinely warm, attentive service. We opted for patio seating, but the inviting interior—cozy and full of character—looked like the kind of place locals love. I’m told live music is part of the draw, which likely adds to the vibe. As for the burger? Cooked to perfection and deeply satisfying.

I really want to like this place, I’ve eaten inside and enjoyed what I got then. But the takeout I got wasn’t good especially for the price. We got an order of nachos to share and it was WAY too much cheese (not something I ever thought I’d say, seriously). I like a lot of cheese on my nachos, but these you couldn’t even find the chips, and had to actually pull cheese off to enjoy them. The container was still half full of cheese when we finished them (see picture, that’s ALL cheese). Then I also got a crispy chicken honey mustard wrap which would’ve been good but there was 2/3 lettuce and almost no chicken or honey mustard on the thing. Tasteless. It’s really disappointing to drop $40 and not like what you get. Especially when you go pick it up, not even door dash. I will say the service was good, the staff that I dealt with were friendly and attentive. The order was correct, just mediocre and overpriced.

Very cool decor. I would hate to have to dust all the stuff. Free parking lot. Clean bathrooms. Decent size menu. Food was good. Did not hear any Irish music. Used to be the old bickfords pancake house restaurant.

This is probably the best bar and restaurant I've ever been to in Boston. We were in Boston for a week. And we ate breakfast Inn, lunch and dinner there twice.. The food was good and the prices were very reasonable and it seats, hundreds of people. I would even say that it is the best restaurant I've been to. In Boston ever. The only thing I didn't like was that you had to order any memorabilia online. They do not have t shirts, glasses, sweatshirts, or anything else to sell on-site.

The one star is solely because of the service. I came in on Friday July 11th with some friends looking to enjoy our Friday night together. It was late but the drinks were delicious, food was great despite only having the limited late night menu. But the server was awful. Giving us attitude, dirty looks, rolling her eyes at us, and so much more. We usually love coming here. But our experience this night was awful. She ruined our entire experience. Bartenders were great, atmosphere was great, just very poor service. We typically have great service here. But we also never had this server before. Hope management addresses this issue. Because I know we weren't the only people who felt this way last night

Our first experience. The wall’s of this place are completely covered one must see to believe it’s wild. Service was a bit haphazard and the food was so so. We shared the scrambled eggs nachos and they were oddly satisfying and tasty however my chicken and waffles was not so good to me. Chicken strips were greasy and tough. Very stingy with the syrup and butter. Waffles were thin and dry. Please keep in mind. I consider myself a chicken and waffles connoisseur. I have had them many places and many different versions. The picture of the chicken and waffles is exactly how much I ate before giving up. My sister had a breakfast skillet. Ate about half she didn’t care for it. She said none of it felt freshly made. More like microwave this that the other thing and then put it all together that may not be true. I don’t know, but that’s how she described her dish to me. This place only does brunch Saturday and Sunday so it kind of makes sense. They don’t put a lot of effort into it and again I’ve never eaten dinner there, but I would imagine the food at night is better than the brunch. And it’s a great place to have a pint of Guinness. Take a selfie with Saint Anthony too.
