Chef Douglass Williams’ Fenway Brasserie D.W. French Is Shutting Down | Eater Boston

"Williams plans to replace that space with a fourth location of his Italian restaurant Mida, which he says will open in October and that he expects will ‘really resonate with both residents and visitors.’ Mida already follows a playbook that includes long-running promotions like Mangia Mondays and operates an East Boston waterfront spot, a location in Newton, and the original restaurant on the border of the South End and Roxbury." - Erika Adams

The atmosphere was calm, upscale, and very inviting. Our waitress was top-notch—she gave excellent recommendations, which we truly appreciated since we’re from out of town. Every suggestion she made was spot-on. I ordered the lasagna with short braised ribs, and it was absolutely delicious—easily one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. Honestly, it tasted like it was made in Italy. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes. If you’re looking for authentic pasta and a wonderful dining experience, this is the place to go!

The restaurant is easy to find and has both indoor and outdoor seating options, menu is a bit small and little options for vegetarians. The seafood dishes were great though, the salmon dish was perfectly cooked and laying on a bed of cooked white beans, slightly different texture and different mix with salmon, very fulfilling and delicious. Cod fish was good on a bed of wheat, it did look like risotto but with a mild flavor. The appetizers were the cherry on top for our meal. The calamari dish was very tasty, crispy and citrusy, the sauce was very light and tangy and the mix was really good. Ricotta salad was also good but it did come with ham although in the menu it doesn’t include ham in description, I liked the oranges pieces in the salad as it made it super refreshing.

I never write reviews but feel like I have to for mida. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Boston. Every time I have gone the servers, bar tenders and front of house have all been amazing. It’s become a tradition to celebrate my best friends birthday there simply because she loves the arancini so much. The food and service is amazing for a price that won’t leave you bankrupt. I love mida and will continuing going until the day I die.

The best part of MIDA is probably the appetizers honestly. The croquettes were great and the pesto was delicious. The pizza is good, but being from CT, I've had better. The short ribs were also fantastic, but all the pastas were lacking flavor and one of them was a little overcooked.

This restaurant is BEAUTIFUL! Love the level of details here. We came for brunch and had a reservation. Service was phenomenal. I must return for dinner. Bar is well stocked and cocktails are great. The pasta is definitely handmade and delicious. I prefer gnocchi in heavy bolognese sauce, but the rich cacio e pepe was a hit and perfect for brunch. French toast and pancakes were great. All the pizzas looked fire. That biscuit...amazing! Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Worth a visit or three!

Stopped in on a whim since it was close to where we were staying. Service was attentive and friendly. Food was good but nothing memorable. Music a bit loud at times for easy conversation. Overall, not a bad experience, just didn’t feel worth the price.

Really really delicious food! We got arancini which was free cause we didn’t order it. Bread was great, pasta was delicious, and I got dessert cause it was for my birthday. Staff was super nice and comped our dessert and appetizer. Delicious food, great atmosphere, and lovely area!

This is my go to Restaurant for any special occasion or any night I want a memorable meal. The food at Mida is always absolutely outstanding! Every dish we’ve tried—from the Carne Supremo Pizza, the succulent meatballs to my favorite, the Rock Shrimp Carbonara is exceptionally delicious. The food is prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients and expert technique by the acclaimed Chef Douglass Williams. The flavors are bold yet balanced, and the presentation, Instagram-worthy. Kudos to Chef and staff.
