Korean restaurant Jong-Ro Chicken opens in Chinatown on Spring Mountain Road | Eater Vegas

"A newcomer promising a more traditional, “gourmet” and elegant setting, with a menu focused on classic Korean soups and boiled meats such as gomtang (beef-bone soup), yukgaejang (spicy beef soup), and suyuk (pork belly)." - Bradley Martin

Hard to believe it’s already been 17 years—congratulations! 🎉 We’ve been coming here for over a decade, ever since it first opened as a basketball-themed restaurant. Back then, I still remember one aunty (ajumma) working tirelessly in the kitchen while the younger staff handled the front. Over the years, this place has given me so many warm memories. The Korean food has always been consistent and authentic—after all, in K-town, only the strong (and tasty) survive! Their desserts are also a treat, always a nice way to finish the meal. If I had one small wish, it would be for them to bring back more of those delicious hot and cold drinks they used to serve—it’s a little nostalgic. But no matter what, we’ll definitely be here cheering them on for the next ten years too! 💪

Everything about this place is a 10! The food is amazing if you are trying to get into Korean cuisine or if you’re a seasoned veteran. The vibe is great and the service is amazing. Definitely will come again!!

Ordered budae hotpot+pan fried sizzling pork belly at 7pm on Tuesday. The food was great. Quiet environment. Not crowded. Friendly service. Nice decoration and atmosphere.

I thought the food was really great the last two times I’ve been. It took like 20 minutes to get it though despite the restaurant seeming to be not too busy. The wait was worth it however and the staff are friendly. I always like it when restaurants have a convenient phone ordering system. I’ll be back!

Tried the seafood hot pot and it was not good. Basically dump some cheap frozen fish and seafood in a pot of water. Chose the non spicy version so it doesn't have the chili to mask the fishy smell. Whole pot has only two white prawns not tiger prawns like it specified. Tiny crabs with no meat, scallop like size of baby finger nails and mussels, fish collar was so fishy. Would not recommend ordering this item. The beef hot stone rice has barely any beef, maybe like a teaspoon. If you like loud places it is great. Not suggested if you want to have a conversation.

The food is pretty good and tasty! but everyone in my family agreed it wasn't the best Korean food we had. We thought the chicken in the UFO was already fully cooked but a couple of our pieces were half done / undercooked so that was just an unpleasant surprise we didn't expect. We've tried their desserts before as well. I think their beautiful presentations set too high of an expectation for the taste that it can be a little disappointing when it doesn't taste crazy phenomenal. Service is ok but they get pretty busy so you might have to wait a while before they respond to you ringing the bell. The place is built with very hard surfaces so it was very noisy. That along with the fact that many young adults gathered here who generally spoke very loudly. I was able to clearly overhear the conversations from every table in the restaurant and I felt kinda intrusive and experienced an auditory overload that led to a headache. My family didn't seem as bothered by it though so it probably won't affect you as much unless you're sensitive to it or prefer more privacy like me. Overall I think it's a nice social place to eat with friends or family if you don't mind a noisy atmosphere but just wasn't the place for me. ^^

We loved their squid and pork stir fry it was absolutely delicious. The place was packed on Sunday night but we were still seated pretty quickly. I just wish they had more side dishes but besides that I can’t wait to go back and try their shaved ice.
