Midami Sushi

Waited on promptly, was given menu, amazing options. The rolls are delicious so worth it. I started off with a tofu appetizer just to tie me over until my party arrived. Highly recommend great staff very accommodating. They even have a drive-through and they’re very busy with their carryout service. But so well worth it excellent sushi definitely will be returning

This restaurant is a gem. My partner and I enjoyed our food here. The bulgugi bowl is savory, sushi is fresh and flavorful. Service is great and thank you for the service ice cream. We will definitely come back to this restaurant.

Great food. High quality ingredients. Service is great. The restaurant is never full during lunch plus they have a drive through window so that may alleviate some table service. The restaurant decor, etc... is unmemorable but I don't really care about this. I definitely recommend Midami if you want great sushi and/or Japanese/Korean food.

As soon as I entered the restaurant I was impressed with cleanliness and a nice greeting. Food was excellent and well put together. Service was friendly. Will make this my main sushi spot for Michigan.

This green salmon midami special roll...... go eat this. Oh my God go eat this. Holy flipping flip. Ignore the potato chip, that's mine. I got takeout.

I rather enjoyed my lunch here. The service was outstanding. My favorite was the green salmon roll, I really like the lemon.

The server and chef were extremely friendly. The menu was a mix of sushi, poke bowl, and korean food. Ordered the spicy pork and a few specialty rolls (See attached pics) The rolls were fat and the pork was fantastic. I would make it a point to stop by again to try their poke bowls the next time I'm in the east side.

Midami is one the best most affordable eating spots around. Their sushi is pretty tasty and fresh. Their entrees are also very good to eat with an amazing selection. The prices are very affordable too. The best part I feel is them having actual snow crab. I have an allergy to imitation crab so a lot of time some sushi rolls are off limits to me. Then having snow crab allows me to add it to my orders and enjoy it. Staffing is amazing as the owner is always so sweet and accommodating. They are also on food delivery services if it's available in your area. I definitely recommend this place.

We ordered Midami Sushi because of the high Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint! We ordered via DoorDash and it arrived quickly. Sushi was flavorful and fresh!

The first sushi place I've ever noticed with a drive thru window. I should have taken the immediate red flag. Ordered a few rolls for takeout and they were decent. Biggest disappointment were that they were poorly rolled and constantly falling apart. Pair it with the drive thru window and the assumption is they just make the rolls too quickly and not enough attention to detail. Sushi rolls are also smaller than average size.

My friend and I stumbled on this place on accident. I'm so happy that we found this place! I live close so they'll have a repeat customer. The service was great, the lady was so sweet & patient with us. There's so many options to choose from so it'll take you a minute. I had the popcorn lobster and firecracker rolls they were delicious. My friend loved her Mr. Nice and Mexican rolls. We went on a Monday afternoon and it was pretty quiet. However, as the time progressed we noticed more families coming to dine in. The place is very cute and clean on the inside.

I stopped in here for a quick lunch after a trip to Home Depot, and it did not disappoint. I was instantly greeted by a warm, smiling face. I ordered an eel roll, and I can't remember what the other one was called, which is such a shame because it might have been in the top 3 sushi rolls I've ever had, all I know is it was deep fried. The restaurant is clean and well taken care of. What really caught my eye is that they have a drive-through! I can't wait to come back and figure out what roll I got!

Love the crunch options and overall variety. Always fresh and fast. I've had it many times and can always find a new favorite.

There's not much better than amazing sushi and the ability to pick it up by drive thru! I got green salmon roll, shrimp tempura roll and Philadelphia roll. All 3 were amazing! The salmon rolls lemon slice is perfect with the salmon. The shrimp tempura is perfectly fried. And the Philly roll has smoked salmon that is delicious. The customer service here is always great and very responsive. And one of the best parts, you can pick up orders from the drive thru!

The sushi was excellent! We also recommend the agadashi tofu. Our server was wonderful. It's not a very large restaurant at the decor was nice. Definitely recommend.

First time visitor. Had a very nice late lunch here with my kids. Service and food were great! We even had a bonus treat at the end of the meal. This will be our top pick when we're in the area.

Excellent place. A family restaurant who greet you with a smile. They enjoy their customers here. My mom is 81 and comes here weekly for their sushi when her cleaning lady is cleaning the house. What would we order again? * Green Salmon Roll - Wow! This was a surprise. I've not had a roll like this before. The combination of flavors is bright and fresh. * Northern Michigan Roll - Rich and creamy with a slight tang. * Mushroom Roll - Slightly sweet. A nice pallet cleanser from one roll to another. * Miso Soup What would we not order again? Nothing! It was all very tasty.

I like the sushi here. Their entree is meh because they are kind of small portions compare to other Japanese restaurants. If you come, just get the sushi. Seems like most people do anyway

I've only dine in here once when they first opened and just recently got take out. My opinion is still the same that the sushi here is average. It's not terrible. It's good to fix a craving I would say. I definitely had worse. I think it's worth the price. The drive through is very convenient if you placed a take out order and just pick it up through drive through. I'm not sure how long it takes if you place an order through drive thru though. The lady who's the receptionist there doesn't speak that well of English. I think she prefers to go by item number rather than item name just an FYI. I would definitely like to give this place more chances.

A cute little place where you order and pay online and then go to the drive through to pick up. The sushi was delicious and so fresh tasting. Do not order from here when you are super hungry because the hardest part is deciding which yummy rolls to order! Can't wait to try everything on the menu.

SO GOOD!!! I was immediately greeted and seated. The sushi was amazing- if you like raw fish, try the red wings roll. It was nice inside and I enjoy that there is a pick up option. If you are looking for a new sushi place to try, come here!

Everything we've ordered at Midami Sushi is yummy and fresh. We've never dined in, but we've gotten delivery and carry out and orders are processed fast. We've gotten a variety of rolls, soups, and other items and every single thing that we've gotten has been on point. And the prices are quite reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food.

Great spot to satisfy any sushi craving! It's my go-to spot to pick up sushi during the week. Very consistent and never disappoints! Service is always very quick and friendly. I also love that they have a drive-thru attached - it makes it very convenient! My favorite rolls are the shrimp tempura and green salmon rolls.

I almost walked out because the inside of this sushi restaurant looks weird and worn but I am on a low carb diet, was craving sashimi and all the Yelp reviews were good. It's also right across the street from my sons karate and I was in a rush. There is no sushi bar here but there is a drive thru. I visited at 6pm and was the only person seated but I can tell the drive thru was hopping. They have a huge menu...sushi burritos, ramen, udon, sushi, bento, grilled salmon.... I had to pause again when I noticed that they were selling soy sauce ($6.50!) , instant ramen noodle bowls, sriracha, and instant green tea. I still wonder if their ramen is instant? My waitress was very sweet and accommodating. When my food arrived, I can tell right away that the reviews were spot on. Everything was beautifully presented and most importantly fresh. I probably won't eat in but I will be visiting the drive thru often.

Fresh Than A Mug ! Closed inside due to COVID so you gotta got the drive thru. I will definitely return! I had the Devil Roll and Salmon Nigiri

The food is incredible, I highly recommend the yum yum sushi. The staff is always so friendly and my order is always ready fast.

Don't be put off by the drive thru. The food here is actually good. Also, the inside is clean and more spacious than it looks from outside. Service is also good and the food is usually very fresh. Worth a try if you're in the area.

I feel the quality went way down while they raise their price dramatically. I understand now everything costs more but the sushi does not taste fresh. I would be worrying if I have to feed their sushi to my children.

I have been here before and dined in and it was good. I got the salmon on the rocks and it was delicious. I came back a couple months later and the picture on the website still looks the same as what I ordered previously so I got it again. It looks terrible! I'm so disappointed I paid $13 for my sushi to look like mush.

First time there, recommended by friends. Nothing fancy. The tempura on the appetizer menu was excellent...fresh, crunchy, delicious. The miso soup was delicious; could have been a little hotter, but delicious just the same. Friends had the ramen and raved about it. Nice portions. Good service. Will go there again.

Decent sushi, but the waitstaff is rude. Was asked to leave immediately after finishing my meal to make way for other patrons. The restaurant had several open tables at the time. Another time, I walked in to find several patron dining and most of the empty tables dirty with dishes. The waitress told me she was sick. Will not be returning.

Excellent all the way around. Quick service, clean restaurant. It's basically a take out place (there's a take out window) and the inside decor is relatively plain, however, the food was phenomenal and the employees were excellent. My kids loved the food and we ended up ordering more gyoza for my son. Rolls were well made, stayed together, not too much rice, fresh, and looked awesome. Great stop.

Absolutely delicious sushi! We have been coming to this hidden gem for years and have never had anything but wonderful food and experiences. Could not recommend this place enough- bonus is that they have a drive through window! The staff is so friendly and accommodating- love them!

Very impressed. I called in and made a last minute large order for my office. They worked very quickly and were very gracious and friendly. The sushi is tasty. And the presentation is well put together and colorful. They also have a drive through window, which is an amazing option. I will be coming back.

Wow, was I surprised by the food and service I got at Midami. I pulled in late on a Tuesday night. I was skeptical about getting sushi at a drive-through but I had just gotten in from the airport and wanted to just grab something and eat in the hotel. When I drove up, the place was empty and pretty dark so I wasn't even sure it was open. Well, out walks this very nice lady, who hands me a more detailed menu than what's listed on the drive-up display. That's a first for any kind of drive-up service. When I pulled to the order window and the same woman greeted me, I asked what kind of sushi is on the Sushi Combo A. The menu says 7 pieces of Nigiri plus Spicy tuna roll. I always ask because I hate when a sushi restaurant gives you shrimp on a combo. I want fish; not shrimp! A man came to the window (I guess the man and woman are the owners) and said that the combo includes tuna, salmon, hamache, unagi and shrimp. I told them that I wanted to replace the shrimp with another unagi, fully expecting to pay extra. I also ordered a miso soup and seaweed salad. While the man was making the nigiri and roll, the woman brought me the bill. She said they weren't charging me extra for the eel. I'm pretty sure that's the first time I didn't have to pay extra for something at a sushi place. The total bill was $24. Maybe a little more than I'd expected to pay for drive-through food but I was hungry and it didn't matter. The food turned out to be really good. They gave me 2 unagi, 2 salmon, 2 tuna and 1 hamache. The sushi was very good. The fish portions were large and the quality was very good. The spicy tuna roll was on the small side but also very good. The seaweed salad was excellent as was the miso soup, though the soup portion was on the small side. If I had gotten this quality at a sit-down restaurant, I would have expected to pay more than $24 so it was well worth it. I may never come back to Farmington Hills on business again. But if I do, I'll definitely drop in to Midami.

The sushi was yummy . I got a spicy California it was fresh and the sauce actually had spice to it ! The shrimp California was also fresh . Miso soup was on point . And the price was great . They have a drive thru window for carry out which was convenient

You're sitting there minding your own business eavesdropping on a conversation between the two hot girls you've been creeping on in the gym. They're both hungry, they both REALLY want sushi. What do they want? California rolls. That's right. California rolls. You resist the urge to rolls your eyes and smack them, because anyone who likes California rolls doesn't know what the hell sushi is all about. A few of us unleashed the inner basic bitch inside and went here after a round of shopping, polo, sailing, and starbucks lattes. We were famished. We had to get out of our lulus and uggs and into a bowl of california rolls. Here's the scoop. Pros: + New kid on the block. No preconcieved notions before coming here. + Food is pretty good. Sushi rice not bad. 3/4. + Salmon Teriyaki is pretty good. + Layout is off the chain. I mean this is seriously the best looking sushi restaurant I've been to. No tacky decor, very modern and clean, yet retaining that Asian sushi vibe that I know and love. + They sell Asian stuff here (schiracha, soy sauce, poki). Makes you feel like you're in a Japanese store or something. + They have a drive through. Not sure how that's gonna work, because usually drive throughs are for fast food, and sushi is anything but fast. Probably for call-in pickups. + Ample lighting for Instagramers. Cons: + Salmon Teriyaki was slightly burnt. No biggie. + I wish there was some masago on the spicy scallop roll. A little would go a long way. Overall there's really nothing wrong with this place. I think they are running a special for 15% or something in June and July. Check with them. They also have sushi burritos here. But I'm more a fan of putting small, delicate sushi pieces in my mouth rather than a big long burrito. But don't get me wrong - I like that too.

Always pleased with the sushi here. The spicy tuna is particularly good, it's got a certain sesame flavor/some sweetness with the spicy mayo that's unique and makes you want more. It's always ready on time, well put together, and they accommodate our requests for extra wasabi and ginger while other restaurants often don't bother reading the special instructions. Highly recommend!

Wonderful service and deliciously fresh sushi. Lovely family owned business. They were accommodating to my sensitivity to spicy. They also have a drive thru window.

Tenzaru Soba... I tried new menu today!!! It's Japanese cold noodle. So good! It's all gone in me so fast, just like that! I even foget to take a picture before start to eat. Thank you for the good food and I definitely come back to have this cold soba again!

This place isn't far from the office and is great for sushi. We came here on a blustery, icky day and sadly it was incredibly loud inside as the business next store was doing some work. However, the staff was pleasant enough and we had the place to ourselves. I ordered the AAC roll, the Sweet Potato tempura and the Black Tiger. All of the sushi was fresh and well made- my fault for not carefully reading the Black Tiger had cream cheese as I don't personally care for that. However, it MIGHT have changed my mind about cream cheese, it was very good. The tempura batter has a more coarse texture, like cornmeal, but it wasn't heavy so it gave the sushi a nice texture overall. There is better sushi closer to home for me, but this is a great place to catch lunch or eat at regularly if you are local. We appreciated the quick turn time as we were on our lunch hour. Also bonus that this place delivers and has a drive thru! What's not to like?

I usually go here for sushi on my lunch breaks however they have very bad customer service. I ordered shrimp tempura expecting it to be a roll, however it was some long pieces of shrimp. I asked to exchange it for something else and i got a quick "no ma'am, no" and she hung up. Do not go here.

I love this place! The food and staff are great.The drive thru makes To-go orders really convenient. I ordered two rolls to go, the Devil Roll and the Chicago. They were both delicious, and two of my favorite rolls along with the Ninja roll.

Amazing sushi. I'm a picky eater, and Midami satisfied me so well. It's very clean. Sushi was so tasty! And they cook it up fast! Love it.

It's very clean in here and the people that work there are very friendly. I don't have to wait long and the sushi always taste fresh. Highly recommend!

I love the sushi here. They have such great options for vegetarians as well!! I have been here about 5 times and have yet to try the same thing twice.
