I came in for something simple—just help putting my headlight back in. It was still attached, I just couldn’t line it up properly since my car is lowered. Before I could even explain, the guy immediately quoted me $150. I told him he misunderstood, that I didn’t need a new headlight, only help securing the one I already had. Instead of listening, he dismissed me and said they were “too busy” (even though there was only one car there) and still insisted on the $150 charge. The lack of customer service was shocking—no effort to understand, no willingness to help, just quick to dismiss me. I left feeling completely disrespected and taken advantage of.

Execellent service and great deal! I went in for an oil change & tire rotation and was in & out within an hour. No appointment needed! I 100% recommend!!

Came in for an ailment an Sal helped me out like a boss. Took really good care of me an explained all that was going on with my car in detail. Coming back for later repairs on other areas that needed attention

I've been going to Midas for around 16 years, and the service has always been good quality. I leave there knowing my car is in good condition. Furthermore whenever there is suggested work that could be done in the future they also list it on your paperwork along with the price of parts and labor.

Sal was extremely helpful and very understanding. I got my brakes and rotors done here and I’m extremely satisfied definitely will be coming back for more services. And the pricing was very reasonable

Come here if you want to get ripped off. It doesn’t cost $400 to change a headlight bulb…. And no you don’t need to take the fuse box out and no the job is not complicated, I’m not stupid. All you need is a simple ratchet. To top it off the staff seem to always be in a bad mood, like you showing up is inconveniencing them. Do yourself a favor and don’t come here… ever.

Brought my car to get an oil change and they put the wrong oil. They were supposed to use 5W-30, but used the W-20 instead. A week later my check engine light goes on. WTH. Will not be bringing my car here ever again.

This is the worse place to ever get your car fix they tell you a low price then after they fix your car they give you a hi price and say oh the first price was a mistake so they charge you way more then anybody I know!.. I will never go here! I almost got into a fight with them..

Just got home anxious to post this review. Not until 18 months after I realized THIS PLACE SUCKS.... Two days ago had my oil change done at dealer. Dealer recommended to have my left front brake done ASAP / 1 mm left. And caliper to be replaced too. While three ( 3 = Right Front and the back ) still are manageable with 7mm left. This means that when I had all my 4 brakes done sometime late 2021. He only did 3 of the 4. Otherwise all 4 should reflect same thickness. Meanwhile, I was charged for all 4 brake job. Plus "reconditioning of front left rotor?" Which I don't think so was needed. Which cost me $ 215.28. for that alone, grrrrrrrrr!!! ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY. Aside from that, in spite of the fact that I warned that when a test drive is needed. I need to be there. Never the less, technician took my car for a test drive all by himself. I know he went over my stuffs because the markings of his dirty hands was on my globe compartment. That's why I warn you people THIS PLACE IS A SCAMMER.....

Volkswagen didn't want to change my fuel tank & other problems i was having so i took it back to Midas & they replaced my fuel tank & charcoal canister I am one happy customer thank you ash for fixing my car.

I went here for brake pads, service seemed friendly enough. However after the service my calipers were grinding took it back and they said they had misaligned them when putting the pads back on. Sure enough after the second visit they began grinding again. Now I have to go somewhere I know isn't going to rush the job and do it right! More money I have to spend. Not worth the hassle if they won't do the job right the FIRST time!!

Took my car in for second opinion on service that the dealer wanting $2200 to fix, this location did did the work for $1400 and car runs great again, not mention my car is a hybrid so was hesitant to take anywhere besides the dealer, but glad I came here, I'm getting my 45mpg again.

My grandmother has been servicing her vehicles here for as long as I can remember, so as an adult now maintaining my own vehicles it only made sense to go to the same place. Well.. one day I went in for an oil change on a vehicle that I was planning to sell to my neighbor. The mechanic asked if I'd like regular oil or synthetic and I decided to get regular since I was only changing the oil as a courtesy for my neighbor. As he was preparing my total we made small talk and I had informed him that I was going to sell my car and he asked how much I would be selling it. I told him only $4,000 because it was my grandmothers car and they were so good to her when she was alive. When I returned to pick up my car he had informed me that my engine was near failure and would only last for 3-4 months top! Suggested that I only sell it for no more than $500 and selling to my neighbors was a bad idea This car was about 11 years old and had about 12,000 miles! The only problem that the car had was needing a new battery a year prior. No major issues! I took my car down the street to another mechanic, told him what Midas had said and he said there wasn't one thing wrong with the car. It was basically brand new and informed me that the man was most likely trying to convince me that it was going out, so I would sell to him for basically pennies. I waited to write this review to see if he was right & of course he was trying to scam me! I'm assuming because I'm a woman and he just expected me to take his word. The car is fine btw.. it has been almost a year. My neighbor has been driving the car to work and on trips with her family.

I had a flat tire a decided to stop here so they can help me. When I get there I park I get off my truck to let the guy know if he can put air in my tire and he just approached me and told me to move my truck because it was on the way I moved and though he was going to help but no he decided to have a conversation with his Co worker and I waited 10 minutes and they didn't even help I decided to leave. And just went to a gas station and put air myself.

Shoutout to Sam in reception & Steve in the back! Had my car ready and offered great advise. Will be coming back again soon. Thumbs up!

I recommend this place, I wish I can give more than 5 stars I hope I get his name right but Sam was so helpful very friendly and had answers for all of my questions I was there a few weeks ago and took my car in 3 times and they fixed my car and they are better than any big dealership service places hands down. they fixed the mistake of Jeep freedom Chrysler from Killeen Texas and I am very satisfied my husband and his family have a body shop in Los Angeles and I have been recommending this place to all of their customers including family members I wish this places was in Texas so I could know I have a place I can trust to take my car for service .

The manager Sam is the best took care of my car fast and he was honest did not pressure me in to buying anything just told me what my car need and told me what was urgent and what can't wait love the service will be coming back thanks Sam. Highly recommend this place ask for Sam.

I highly recommend the Midas location on the corner of Long Beach Blvd. and Rosecrans in the city of Compton. I have had several vehicles serviced at this location and have never once been disappointed. The owner Ash is always friendly and accommodating. This location has great mechanics who know their stuff! I recently went in for an oil change, And left with a wealth of information about my vehicle! These guys are the best! Don't take your car here. They suck. Took my car to get my back breaks. They broke a bolt on one of the rotor's and left it in. On the other side they stripped a bolt. Paid them almost 500 and was never told by them that they messed my breaks up. 2 months later had to pay more to fix the issue and new breaks. Don't go to this place.

I received outstanding service at this Midas location. Sam was very friendly and made sure to fit me in at a time that worked for my schedule, even though they had a very busy week. Furthermore, Sam walked me through everything going on with my car and explained each cost to me. I've never had an auto shop be so transparent and fair with costs before and actually take the time to educate me about my car (rather than take advantage of my ignorance). Every issue I was having with my car was properly fixed and it is now in excellent condition. Prompt. Quick. Extremely fair price. Friendly people. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. On the one hand, they did my oil change and fixed the switch in my car so that my windows can go up and down again. On the other hand, I left with a quote of over $1000 worth of repairs that they felt like I needed. Since I went for the oil change one day, and returned for the switch fix, I engaged with Ash twice about the repairs he felt were needed. I ended up going to two other places for inspections, and while some of the repairs were warranted, I was able to get them done for half the price that they quoted me. He also missed a major repair that I did also need but focused on somethings that I didn't. When I came back with this information before going elsewhere to get the work done, he seemed annoyed, began to argue with me, but then said forget it, and gave me my keys. I would be wary of any repairs that they say you need, and get second opinions, as well as price shop.

I would like to say they have absolutely great customer service and they are very honest The owner Ash is awesome took two trips before I left a review every time he explain the work that needs to be done and was very thorough and did not mark up the parts like other shops do as a researcher I check the price on the parts and they write on it I would definitely recommend everyone to come and service the car here.

BEWARE!!!! Took my vehicle in. First one there at 8am. Didn't leave until after 12 noon with no solution to my issue. Engine was misfiring. They told me I needed a new engine. I went to another shop found it was only an injector that needed replacing. Terrible service dishonest ad out for your money. If you need brakes buy your own pay then for labor to put them on. Otherwise it's a rip off. As I sat waiting for my car Sal tried to sell every customer tires even if they didn't need them. Never again.

Been having issues with brakes, they keep squeaking and they keep telling me it was fine. Took it a third time and now they tell me I need all new rotors and hardware, I keep bringing the car and they keep saying it was fine and now I need all new equipment to stop the noise, place is incompetent.

Ash is number one! Outstanding customer service! You can see that he has a real passion for helping people. I will definitely be back

Don't waste your time or money here very unprofessional and don't have the right equipment to complete a basic maintenance and if you have an appointment get ready to waste your time and spend more then half your day still waiting for your vehicle and Earl the manager is garbage isn't professional at his with his 20 years of experience!

They were unable to fix my vehicle but were able to take my money. Brought my 2005 Cadillac in for ABS brake lights on they charged me just under 400 bucks to change a wheel speed sensor the problem continued I brought it back they change the new wheel speed sensor and put in another wheel speed sensor so both sides has new wheel speed sensors and the problem persisted they keep charging me labor each time and they want me a third time and wanna charge me again for labor I did a diagnostic and the problem is still there. They either don't know what they're doing or they're just taking me for money and milking me. I am very unsatisfied and upset that they took my money about 800 bucks and my vehicle still has a problem with the ABS that they supposedly fixed twice. Crooks I highly do not recommend this business

If you go to this Midas location try speaking with Sam. He is very knowledgeable, kind, and made my experience here a great one. As we all know going to a mechanic can be a little daunting because of all the jargon they use, which could really be confusing, but he kept it simple enough for me to understand. The price was good for the amount of work that was done to my car, I now have the confidence to drive my car because before my brakes would literally go to the floor. Sam has given me the basic knowledge to know when I might need new brakes and rotors. 5 out of 5 service, will definitely be coming back for my basic/major maintenance again!!!

I took my truck to Midas and was taking advantage of by manager Sal. He over charged me for parts and labor. He also told me that they would be using genuine Toyota parts but put after market parts on my truck. If you are a women please be careful when getting car worked on. Midas doesn't specialize in repair like they say. I was $500 and still having same problem. Please check your parts even if its just tires. Dishonest Sal manager ! Doesn't deserve a star at all !

Ive been going to jiffy lube and Valvoline for years but today I wanted to try a difft place. I found a coupon online and went to the local Midas shop. Customer service was awesome and the price was nearly half of what I usually pay. The other places are always trying to upsell me on extras while these guys were honest!! I will never pay those ridiculous oil change prices again! So happy I found this shop. Family owned definitely wont regret coming here.

Moved from South OC and needed a new oil chance spot. Looked this place up and went. Came in on a weekday so it was not busy at all. However, I don't know what the traffic would be on a weekend. Came in for a full synthetic oil change. Competitively priced. Yes yes I know, there are much cheaper places to get an oil change. But I don't mind paying the premium for franchised standards. Not saying individual shops will do you wrong, but personally I just maybe trust franchises more.

Very professional and excellent service every time I bring my car in for service. I will drive 50 miles because I know the service I will receive. They're honest if you need it they recommend it if you don't they won't.

They told me 2 hours and took 3:20 minutes!!!!! I was there with 2 other ppl waiting. I guess they got a lot of work but not enough employees

Don't forget to go to Midas.com for coupons. Oil change for $19.99 buy had to pay $6 extra because my car uses 7 gallon of oil instead of 5 :(

Very upset with Midas. Took my car because I needed an oil change and the car engine light was on. Instead of them finding that issue with the engine light they focused on the leaking. I took the car back because they said I need a couple of things fixed in order for my engine light to come off. They fixed the oxygen sensor but the check engine light was still on. I took my car to Twins auto because I knew I needed a crank sensor and Twins prices are cheaper. Once my crank sensor was replace Twins auto did a diagnostic test on my car and told me the oxygen sensor code came up but he seen that it was replaced, it was new. Twin advised me to take the car back to Midas because my oxygen sensor was either malfunctioning or it was the wrong sensor. Dropped my car off this morning at 8am and explained the issue. Since then I've called twice and they still can't not tell me anything. Very disappointed in Midas, after today I will no longer do business with them.

DISHONEST EXTREMELY OVER PRICED UNPROFESSIONAL Took my car in for an oil leak on a busy Saturday morning and was told I'd get an estimate by Monday. Get a phone call first thing Monday morning from Slick that I needed a new oil cooler unit and oil change and that it would be $825 to replace before they could run any additional tests. I got quotes from 2 other auto repair shops and was quoted $300 LESS than Midas. Even Pep Boys in Carson gave a quote that was HALF the price and they have a reputation for being expensive. 1 repair shop even suggested that we do a more thorough inspection to make sure it wasn't just a gasket before replacing the oil cooler unit. Once I called Midas back to let them know I was going to have it towed to another repair shop to check the gaskets Ash became defensive, told me they ordered the part, and said "it's not the gasket I do this all the time it's the cooler unit." He clearly made an assumption and did not check. He also assumed that I was buying aftermarket parts (again not the case at all, just a poor assumption on his part). I took my car to the other repair shop in Gardena (Takeda Enterprises) and sure enough it was the gasket. It was only a $167 repair. They saved me over $650 in unnecessary repairs.

If I can put zero stars I would. I called and the service on the phone was terrible. I thought it was cutting off but apparently the person who answered picked up and was just ignoring me. I drove there and just walked out of that place right now. Customer service is ridiculously terrible. I waited in line for my turn to ask a few questions about an oil change and the employee was rude and neglecting. As I was asking a few questions he picked up the phone and cut me off without even asking. All he said was you can call me later and ask questions, gave me his card which I decided not to take because I would rather leave my money somewhere where they actually appreciate my business.

ITS HARD TO TRUST A MECHANIC.. AND THEN YOU TAKE IT TO THE "PROFESSIONALS".. I took my car in and they did a diagnostic.. they told me its the maf sensor I told them to go ahead and fix $356 they told me to pick it up in less than an hour.. I get there and they show me a list of things I need due to new codes that had pop up on the diagnostic tool.. And they did not replace the maf sensor.. They told me it was something else they needed to do.. they said they need to call voltzwagen for a car part.. They call me the next day.. they didn't.. YET SOMEHOW I have a diagnostic tool and it didn't run as much codes and cost me less to repair... NO WONDER THERE WAS NO CHARGE I THINN THEY EFF UP MY SYSTEM!

No stars .... They will rip you off . As long as the check engine light goes off thy will charge you money but won't fix anything . Took my car to this location 4 different times for the same problem ..... Problem never got fixed. I'm out 1500$ and now I go to a new place ! Told Midas to check my thermostat .... Turns out I didn't even have a thermostat in my car smh .... Midas touch my ass!

Ash (the owner) is the best and so are all of his workers. I have been going here for about 4 years. We have 2 work vehicles that I take there as well as my personal vehicles. He is honest and gives fair prices. He does not pressure you into getting something fixed but gives you an accurate timeline on any problems with your car. If you already have a good mechanic then just take it here for an oil change and proper diagnosics but if you let him fix your car you will fire your mechanic!!

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! Took my car for an oil change and they didn't even do an oil change my light came on 2weeks later took my car to another shop and the mechanic said my oil filter and oil hasn't been changed in months they take your money and really don't do any repairs on your car. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!!!!!!

This is the place I bring my truck for oil change, and any fixing that may need my truck after taking it to different mechanics and not knowing what's wrong and just guessing what it might be. You fix it and the car is still the same. Not here at Midas you tell them what's going on with the vehicle and they do a full check to find the cause of the problem. Once they do they let you know what exactly it is. When they fix it. You'll have no further problems. I like bringing my truck here. All staff is nice. I have recommend this place to my family. That's how great this place is. Bring it here and you won't be disappointed. I guarantee it.

It's too slow for a simple oil change for chevy. It's more than a hour. I never never use this business because nobody care about costumers time.

Failing a smog inspection sucks, and learning the price of a new catalytic converter sucks more... Having the shop fix it when they said they would for the price they said is awesome! Great service from Slick and I'm sorry I don't know the name of the guy who checked is in on Saturday. I can definitely recommend this place!

I went over here to get my Brake Calipers check to make sure the Brake wasn't locking up. A gentleman by the name of Slick help me out he was very helpful he show me everything that was wrong with my vehicle. I did need new calipers and brake. An I am so happy because I am woman and most men take A vantage of us because we don't know much about cars but he was happy to show me and tell me how it need to be done and answer any other question I had with no problem. I would recommend for all women going to this shop to see and talk to Mr. Slick will definitely be going back.

Terrible customer service, unprofessional. I came in once for a lyft Vehicle inspection. The person inspecting it wrote items that were not even listed on my vehicle inspection sheet . I gave them the benefit of the doubt and repaired the items . I was told to come within 30 days and they would retest it free . Came back about a week later and the attendant seemed very annoyed and angry . Saying that since they didn't do the repairs they has to charge me all I've again. Which is not what they originally told me . On top of that he tried to charge me on th vehicle inspection without my permission. I left and went to a center on Alondra and central (mobile). They only charged me 20 bucks , no more than 10 minutes and they didn't try to add extra stuff to check that weren't part of the vehicle inspection .

Ash was very helpful. Was scared to find a good mechanic in LA. But they were professional, very helpful and showed me visibly everything they thought should be done to my car. Ended up getting a few minor things done and will definitely be coming back.

I have been taking my cars here for a few years. Always honest, fast and dependable! They've even fixed mistakes other mechanics have made on my friend's cars! Definitely recommend taking your car here!

They run a diagnostic find other problems with your car and will charge more than other local mechanics shops. You will have a wait for repairs and the price was 90.00 dollars more than expected and they will rip you off.
