Meal boxes for four ($68) includes barbecue brisket and pastrami, braided challah rolls, apple barbecue sauce, za’atar potato salad, tomato, cucumber, and peach salads, basil honey dressing, and more. This place is great! Just found it randomly while taking a walk. The owner/chef is super nice. I got the midnight wings- they were hot, fresh, crispy, and the sauce was delicious. Can't wait to come back!

I truly loved the top notch friendly and very professional customer service I’ve received from Orrin and Chef Ray at Midnight Deli DC. The shrimp po boy and fried chicken was mouthwatering! It had just the right amount of shrimp and the size was perfect. Can’t wait to go back!!

I walked up Georgia Ave telling myself how I should spend less on take out. Then I smelled the rich aroma from Midnight’s smoker. 😩🤷🏽‍♀️I would try something. Not only was the smell pleasant and inviting but the staff was welcoming and polite. I ordered a fish meal and Mac N Cheese. It’s was made fresh, and beyond delicious. I would recommend anyone who love comfort and/or southern food to visit. You won’t be disappointed. The generous and courteous staff gets an A+ for their customer service skills!

The food here is a cut above, period. A friend tipped me off to this spot, said there were some more visible competitors on Upshur but that "this was the place to go". Well, I tried them all because I like food, and he was right. Both the quality of the raw ingredients, and the preparation/flavors, are unbelievably good. It's just better. Simple exterior/interior, killer food. Also, the people that work there are so friendly, and are clearly passionate about their food. Just had a mind-blowing conversation with Horatio. So much I don't know! Seriously, the food here is BETTER. So F'ing good. All of it.

The owners/staff are very friendly. I ordered the steak & cheese and fries. The steak in the sandwich is tasty and very high quality. I had to go back a week later and order the same thing!! I like supporting small, local businesses like this one.

The food is Premo Good!!!!! I had the half Rack Ribs, Half Rack Lamb Chops , and the Maple Wings!!!!! This Food was so tender cooked to perfection Good!!!!!! Be Careful this can be an addition!!!!!! The customer service is excellent!!!! I called in my order and it was ready and waiting when i arrived!!!!!!!

Seriously, one of DC’s best well kept secrets. I stumbled in Bc of the “smoked bbq” sign and was hungry. They let me taste a wing (and when it came out, it was a REAL-sized wing, no pub food mediocrity!) it was delicious. I decided to take the half rib half wing combo w two sides (mac n cheese and collard greens) and EVERYTHING is beyond delish—collard greens were m m mmmm! And the ribs? Juicy and perfectly spiced n cooked. I You can smell and taste the smoked applewood, amazing! 😜and, Orin and Bernard are the nicest to top off this review!!!!
