Midnight Pantry - Review - Kings Cross - London - The Infatuation

"A midnight pantry rummage is something we’re familiar with. Only instead of stale cream crackers and a pimento-stuffed olive, this King’s Cross takeaway hut is all about cookies. Flavours like miso brown butter are good, while others like dark chocolate and Vietnamese coffee are too heavy on the coffee. Our favourite thing, though, isn’t a cookie at all, it’s the Thai milk tea. Sweet and creamy, while still having a nice, strong tea flavour from the black ceylon, it’s perfect on a sunny day when you need a little iced pick-me-up. video credit: Rianne Shlebak photo credit: Rianne Shlebak Pause Unmute Food Rundown Miso Brown Butter Cookie More salty than sweet, this umami-rich cookie is thick as a blondie and has a nice chew to it. Dark Chocolate & Vietnamese Coffee Cookie The Vietnamese coffee flavour is slightly too overpowering, making the chocolate feel like an uninvited extra. Thai Milk Tea Despite the sweetness from the condensed milk, the strong tea flavour comes through. And it’s an excellent combination. photo credit: Rianne Shlebak" - Rianne Shlebak

Their cookies are both unique and delicious 🤤 With Japanese and other Asian ingredients, you'll find yourself chewing on a lovely miso buttery cookie with light flaky salt or a chocolate chip soy sauce cookie✨ Keep an open mind, salty sweet cookies hit 👌 I also think the size of each cookie is well calculated. It's thick and chewy style 🍪 Their drinks are also good, and equally unique and refreshing

We really enjoyed everything we ordered! The ice cream was delicious as well as the cookie! Would definitely recommend if you want a sneaky treat.

I loved their cookies! 🍪 This place was recommended by my mom, a true cookie enthusiast. I tried a few flavors, but the Miso Brown Butter really stood out—it was absolutely delicious. I had one at the store and saved another for the next day; the flavor held up perfectly. I’d eat one every day if calories didn’t count.

We've been there a couple of times during the Shotengai street market. What an amazing store. They know how to do cookies and teas. Great flavours, interesting combinations, not too sweet. We tend to eat some treats there and then also take some back home. Next time we are in London, we are sure to make a detour there again.

This was such a good cookie! We chise the miso butter cookie and it was delicious, a bit salty… Also very large. The other flavors looked great too, very creative asian flavors.

Visited yesterday and really enjoyed their miso sesame praline ice cream sunday and their best selling thai milk tea. The miso sesame praline perfectly complemented their soft serve with notes of nutty and vanilla and a slight salty taste, which would be quite similar to salted caramel. Their thai milk tea was really good, with the subtle sweetness and the refreshing taste especially with the recent heat waves. Would highly recommend to check out their cookie selection, their double chocolate cookie had a great balance of subtle sweetness and would highly recommend their selection of iced drinks.

Tried one of their cookies at battersea park during an asian event and saw them again at this location during our visit at Lower Stable street. We tried the Hojicha vanilla cookie and it was to die for! We've never enjoyed a cookie like this before. It's nice gooey inside while perfectly baked on the outside. Was a lovely lady at the counter who served us the cookie. Going to try their vietnamese coffee next time! :) Definitely recommend! :)
