SF’s Dumpling Time Expands to Japan | Eater SF

"Planning to open Sacramento’s first distillery, Preservation & Co. aims to convert its former Midtown retail shop into Preservation Spirits at 1717 19th Street, starting with gin and rice vodka before moving on to whiskey and rum, and pairing spirits with a restaurant menu of hot dogs and Preservation & Co.’s own products like balsamic beets." - Janelle Bitker

We went here on a Tuesday night for dinner and it was pretty good. The place was not packed. The drinks were delicious the food was good. I will be back to try their brunch because I hear this is what they are known for and will update my review at that time. Update 5/12/24 - finally had a chance to come back for brunch and let me tell you it did not disappoint! The slushy flight was so good! The brunch in my opinion is so yummy and better than the dinner menu. I will definitely be back!

Best brunch and bloody (awesome) Mary’s in Sac. Such a clean spot with great food, amazing drinks and the best staff. Go right now.

Google
This is one of my top 10 spots for brunch and/or cocktails in Sacramento. They never disappoint! The staff is wonderful! Being that it's the first legal distillery in Sac, it would be cool if they did a tour. Favorites: Espresso Martini Mangonada Slushie All their infused vodka and gin

I wish I had caught his name but one of the bartenders, lovely gentleman with a beard, was attentive taking cups and plates away as we finished them. He also cleaned up a spill that I had done, he even apologized when I was the one who spilt something. On top of that all of the drinks and food were delicious! Will definitely be a frequent stop for my partner and I.

Google
Love midtown spirits! My favorite bar in Sacramento. Was first drawn here for the slushies (Ube is the OG but love key lime and creamsicle) and have found more and more things to love. The seasonal cocktails are wonderful. Personally love the matcha martini and the warm Earl grey cocktail. If you're not sure, I love asking staff what I can do with a certain alcohol and they have helped me to craft new cocktails. Alexis and Deanna (spelling) are the best at this and my favorite staff there. Of I ever don't love a drink they find ways to improve it so I have the best experience. The food is also great. I love the egg sandwich with tofu (RIP as it seems to have been discontinued). Unfortunately moving soon but hoping to play bingo and have a few more rounds before we go

Google
Midtown Spirits is such a gem! The food is absolutely amazing—every dish is full of flavor and made with care. Their drinks are just as impressive, well-made and refreshing. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a night out with friends or even a casual dinner. On top of that, the customer service is fantastic—the staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel genuinely welcome. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Google
Per usual, Instagram made me do it! So worth it! Oh my the breakfast sandwich was delicious, I mean not trying to exaggerate but prob one of the best I’ve had. So simple, but texture, the way it’s cooked, perfect. My friend ordered the Lumpia.. I didn’t get to try, but she ate them all lol Then of course, the infamous slushee flights, the reason I came.. they are all vodka and mostly all pretty good. My friend and I did not prefer the guava flavored one, but the rest were great! I would def be back! Oh, they also have a Bloody Mary flight. :)

Google
I absolutely love this spot…. During Covid I watched them build out the restaurant while taking my dogs to the dog park every day. When it looked like it was almost done I walked over and talked with one of the owners. He was very nice and explained to me what they were hoping to accomplish. I think they achieved their goal. I love coming here, the food is incredible and the drinks are off the chart. I don’t frequent bars because I don’t like fighting for attention to get a drink but here they’re very efficient and no matter how busy they are I never feel ignored. I am closing out reviews mistakenly completed in my work account - I added photos and this text below from that review Our go to for a relaxing afternoon of drinks and great food. Every dish is bursting with flavor and the drinks are innovative. It's a bar for those who dislike bars :) Ooof just noticed this is my work account :) I already reviewed.... well there's that, love this place! Response from the owner 9 months ago Thank you Walter! We always appreciate your visit, and hope that your daughter had a safe flight yesterday!

Yelp
Love midtown spirits! They always have a creative drink menu and their slushies are some of the best in the area. I love going during happy hour and being able to try multiple things. I also went for brunch and was surprised at how good the food was! It's so hard to find Filipino food here in sacramento so it was nice to finally see some options. The bartenders are quick and attentive to your likings. I like the outdoor seating patio and that they have both tables indoors and bar top seats!

Yelp
2 years later, still 5 stars. This is a regular spot for me, at least once a month! What I love most about Midtown Spirits is that there are no sacrifices made, the entire experience is enjoyable. The bartenders are always super friendly and attentive, willing to entertain my questions about new drinks (and old drinks) anytime. The food is SO GOOD. It's fresh, and they offer vegetarian options. The tempura cauliflower with lemon juice is a staple for me. The cocktails! I've been here many times in many situations - with my family and young son, meeting girlfriends, first-time meets with new friends, even a work meeting. Every single time the cocktails have been SPOT ON. They are perfectly balanced and never watered down. Even the slushies! I will only order alcoholic slushies from Midtown, they hold their shape and still give you a good little buzz. I also love that they keep a Rolodex of cocktail recipes. They have a good handful of seasonal drinks, but can usually make you one that's not on the menu. One of my FAVORITES is the Mike Thai. Its to die for, and they can make it whether it's on the menu or not! A few other lovables - White Linen, Strawberry Fields, and my other go-to the Dude's Abide. I look forward to continued patronage at this great spot!

Yelp
Love the food, amazing staff, and rustic fun atmosphere. So many good things! We had 16 people that walked with me at the Breast Cancer Walk at Sac State. I had reached out to the restaurant and made a reservation the week prior. Everything was set when we arrived. I didn't get pictures of everything, but got to taste almost all the dishes ordered. Everything was delicious!!! I ordered the Pumpkin Espresso Martini- and the Hawaiian POG, a little brain freeze, but we all came back for more.. Loved my Pork Sisig with a sunny side up egg, just like my mom used to make. Hubby got the Loco Moco, again tons of flavor. And I ordered Corned Beef Lumpia and Chicken Lumpia.. I also ordered the Pork Adobo to go. And yes so so good heated up at home For the tables to share, I ordered the Ube Pancakes, The matcha churros, bananas foster French toast and the special Ube Cheesecake. Everyone loved everything. Almost forgot, I wanted to try the hangover burger, and one of my friends let me taste and yes so so good! Thank you to the awesome Bartenders and Waitstaff. We were all happy with the great service! Not a complaint but a wish for them, that they get a bigger location someday. They would pack it in. Lots of people waiting by the time we left. This will be one of our "destination-favorite-meal"locations. See you guys again soon!

Yelp
The parking is a bit chaotic and the location is not convenient. The service was excellent though, which made up for the parking. I got the Ube Pancakes and was surprised that there was no syrup, just caramel sauce. There also were not many coconut flakes or berries. Overall the flavor was fine but very dry and I probably wouldn't order again, unless I was getting it as a side to split along with something else. I also got the sweater weather slush and it was honestly amazing and I would come back just for that.
google avatar

Shane V.

Yelp
The atmosphere was great and the service was excellent. The servers were very polite. My first drink was the dillarissic, dill pickle drink. I don't know what I was thinking when I ordered it because I hate dill juice . I didn't like the drink at all. My buddy had the white Russian and it was very good. The strawberry vodka was delicious and I bought a bottle to take home. The pineapple chili vodka was also very good if you like heat. For food, my pork belly had a strong zest taste which really turned me off. My buddy had the hot dog dish, can't recall the name but it was decent. The pancakes looked like the go to.
google avatar

Alison K.

Yelp
I love coming here for the unique drinks and brunch. However, it's not a full 5 stars from me because the ube pancakes use to be dairy free and could accommodate my family with dairy allergy and suddenly they were switched to being dairy so it rules coming here for brunch out a lot. Overall though it's a chill ambiance and good service. Just note that it does get pretty busy.
google avatar

Yelp
Great spot with good vibes! Good Filipino inspired dishes and had delicious cocktails and slushy cocktails Also is across from the dog park so you can watch dogs walk by as you enjoy your time. The servers are nice and friendly

Yelp
Midtown Spirits continues to be one of our favorite brunch spots. When we have friends or family visiting from out of town this is a must stop. They have indoor and outdoor seating and you can find street parking nearby relatively easily (during peak hours you may have a to walk a bit further). You walk in and order at the bar and then find a seat. Don't forget to check out the specials and take a look at their list of infused vodka flavors. They already have a great menu of drinks, but you can change them up by using infused vodka flavors. They have delicious vodka slushies available with some rotating flavors- the POG is our favorite and is always available. They also have some cocktails on draft for quick service, but offer so many options. The longer they're around, the more options they have. They're a distillery and sell vodka in a few flavors as well as gin and rum. On top of that they sell fun items like merch, coasters, barrel aged honey, and the Preservation & Co. products like the bloody mary mix they use. Speaking of, their Bloody Mary is one of my favorites. I love ordering it with pickle AND horseradish vodka and it's super flavorful. Other favorites are the Moscow Mule with apple cinnamon vodka, and on our recent visit my husband tried it with apple cinnamon and cranberry vodka and it was so good. I also love their white linen and I love to have the bartenders surprise me with a drink they're working on. The food is also fantastic! On my recent visit they had spam pops as a special, basically spam corn dogs, and they were awesome. We also got the Loco Moco ($16) and the Hella Loco ($22) to compare the two- basically one just has ALL THE MEATS. I'd recommend getting the Hella Loco and sharing it. So good! It looks like the breakfast fries are off the menu now, but their regular fries are delicious. Our friends got the hangover burger and loved it too. This spot is family friendly, and dog friendly (on the patio). They also have special menu items and offerings throughout the year- check their social media for updates.

Yelp
This place constantly stands out as one of my most favorite places to eat and drink. The menu and drinks continue to push the boundaries of amazingness. Their menu continues having me tell EVERYONE to come here. I always get a Dudes Abide with Earl Grey vodka which I guarantee will become a staple in your life once you try it. I usually also get a Bloody Mary since it's practically their signature cocktail here in Sacramento. The food contsntly baffles me on how good it can get. They always have some phenomenal standards on the menu but they also record the menu quite often and it never disappoints. Best French fries with their Bloody Mary mix, best Hella Loco Moco and best SHRIMP!! There is a new Shrimp dish that should have a Michelin star just on its own. Come to this location, it will never let you down. Also somehow they hired the best staff like Chris, Deanna. Kelsey, Alexis, Lauren, etc... everyone is great!

Yelp
I saw an ad for Midtown Spirits on Instagram and the Flight of Slushies sold me! We went and were not disappointed! The person at the counter was super friendly and talked to us about the different types of Slushies that they offered. We ordered the Flight of Slushies: Mangonada, Hawaiian POG, Daiquiri and Piña Colada. They were all very tasty! My favorite was the Mangonada. I also ordered a BBQ Smash Burger with bacon and fries. The brioche bun was toasty and buttery. Overall a super fun experience! I will definitely go back!

Yelp
We reserved for a party of 10 the day before and got patio seating for brunch. The restaurant is cute with all the halloween decor. I shared 4 entrees with 2 others; each entree did not have a large portion of food Mushroom sisig (one of their entries for vegan chef challenge): crispy and well seasoned, a decent ratio of batter to mushroom. The garlic vinegar was a nice dip. Would recommend. Pork belly sisig: crispy but the amount of meat was small. The flavor was savory and went well with lemon. The garlic butter rice was decent, but doesn't taste good when it goes cold. shrimp happens: underwhelming. Shrimp was well cooked with shell on. Batter wasn't that crispy. Overall felt more greasy than the others. ube pancakes: fluffy, not to sweet, and went well with the condensed milk. Ube flavor was not there. We asked for more condensed milk since the amount on the pancake was limited. I would probably not come back here again, but it was nice to try!

Yelp
Really great burger and lumpia! The be cheesecake was made so well. The ambiance was nice for a Saturday evening! Good music playing with tvs on as well. The service was good and the staff was super kind! They have refills on soda too if you don't drink alcohol.

Yelp
Such a cool place! They make their own infused vodka's which is awesome! Came here for drinks and loved the spot. Super friendly bartender and we will definitely be back!

Yelp
Midtown Spirits is such a fun place to hang out at! I've previously come during brunch and tried their ube pancakes and loco moco. The ube pancakes were smaller than I expected but they were still fluffy and tasty! The loco moco was perfectly beefy and the gravy was one of my best gravies I've tried. This most recent time I've come in, I was happy to see that they added more Filipino dishes to the late night menu, like the pork adobo. The adobo was savory, sour, garlicky, and salty, but in a good way! I did have to ask for extra rice because the sauce was a bit too much lol For the infused spirits, I've tried a variety such as horseradish, pickle, habanero, and so many more. And unpopular opinion, but I really liked horseradish!! It's a fun time for my friends and I to come in and try a crazy new flavor each time
google avatar

jennifer d.

Yelp
The restaurant is super cute and has decent amount of seating. We made a reservation but were told our party of 12 couldn't be seated together. The only other large table was already reserved but that party never ended up coming The portions are small, which you don't expect from a Hawaiian/filipino place. I would recommend ordering an entree and another to share. We did savory entrees and the ube pancakes the share for "dessert" And it's heavily more fusion than authentic. The cold brew coffee was amazing though! I wouldn't mind going again but wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to come back.

Yelp
Like many of the other reviewers said, this place is GREAT! Filipino inspired food and really good drinks. The ambiance is so chill and relaxed. Wasn't too loud. The Flight of slushies is such a great concept and they execute them perfectly. Super bummed I found this place on my last day in Sac Town. This place is worth every penny.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place with a friend and wasn't disappointed! I'd recommend coming to this place if you're looking for a quick bite to eat! We got the pork belly sisig and the ube pancakes! I thought their portion size was good and thought that having an entree with the pancakes was perfect! The staff were very efficient and welcoming! It's self seating after you ordered and there is an indoor as well as an outdoor seating! This was perfect for a nice today! I'd come here for a breakfast treat again! It's such a fun place to stumble upon for a Filipino breakfast!

Yelp
Went here for the first time for Sunday brunch and we will come back! Wife had the Hash Me Outside and, wow, such a great combo of flavors and textures! Hash brown patties were perfectly crisp, the grilled spam slices were Ono-licious, and the eggs were like a light thin omelette. I had the Pork Belly Sisig. It was like lightly fried rice with fried pancetta! Jalapeños give it a mild kick.

Yelp
I've been to Midtown Spirits twice now. The first was on a hotter-than-you-know-what summer day when one of their boozy slushies really hit the spot. It was an ube slushy, in fact, and was the perfect cocktail to enjoy after lunch nearby with some coworkers. In fact, I spent months thinking about that ube slushy, so I was more than thrilled to find myself at a nearby farmer's market on my most recent trip to Sacramento - and I had JUST enough time to pop in to enjoy its purply goodness before I had to head to the airport. Alas, the ube slushy is no more. The server reported that they had discontinued it, as they didn't feel it was very popular - although, she noted that MANY people had come in to order it and missed it very much. At least I wasn't alone in my disappointment. I settled on a POG smoothie, which was definitely not as good (or as pretty) as the ube, but was tasty nonetheless. I like a sweet slushy, and this one was semi-sweet. I drank about half then headed for the airport. While I was there, it was brunch time, and people were getting some seriously delish-looking eats (and bloody marys too); so I will have to plan on a return trip to Midtown on my next trip to the area, to enjoy some brunch and, maybe-just-maybe, the return of the ube smoothie too?

Nessa R.

Yelp
We decided to check this place out after finding out our original brunch place was closed and we're so glad we did! We were able to find a table before going up to the counter to order. I got a Hawaiian pog slushie(SO GOOD and dangerous because it does not taste like alcohol). I was also so excited to see a veg option for the musubi bowl so I tried this also. Just as good as well! We had a great time here and the people are so friendly. Next time I want to try their cocktail flight!
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
This is my #1 all time favorite brunch spot in Sacramento. I come here all the time, I love their Asian fusion menu and their flexibility to make meals more vegetarian friendly. They also have an awesome drink menu and I always get the Capitol coffee to go with it. I highly recommend the ube pancakes and the mushroom loco moco-I order both every time! The service is really friendly and the bar itself is super hip and dog friendly. I like sitting outside on their covered patio. Besides brunch it's a really great place for some casual drinks, definitely try their slushies: the mangonada is a must try+ their seasonal slushie is always tasty
google avatar

Alex S.

Yelp
We grabbed some drinks here during their Halloween specials. We got the Bag o' blood which was basically a vodka punch. It was a generous portion! I basically got two drinks out of it. Fun concept! It was very sweet. The espresso slushee martini was also very sweet and following the bag o blood with that lead to a bit of a sugar overload! The vibe was very laid back. Not too crowded. Good for talking with friends over drinks. I would be interested to come back and try their brunch.
google avatar

Lynn K.

Yelp
Ambiance was nice, not too loud- but we were there first people there at 3 ... drink menu was fun, nibbles and mains looked good. Will definitely come back to try some of their many offerings

Yelp
Visiting cousins in the area and the they decided to take me here for lunch. Parking can be difficult, street parking only. Not too busy when we walked in. They have seating indoor and a nice patio built outdoor. We opted for indoor. Place looks more like a bar, have a wide variety of liquor. Also looks like they have distillery tanks seen from the dining room. Pretty awesome. Servers were friendly. Interesting you have to order at the bar, no one told us until we ask if anyone was going to take our order. Also, you have to get your own water, located near the front entrance. Food was good. I had the ube pancakes, which was flaky and the ube flavor came thought, nicely done. In addition, I had the midtown plate. It was good, but portions are too small. Overall great first time visit.

Yelp
Midtown Spirits always has such a relaxed vibe. Everyone is so friendly and the service is always fairly quick, even on busy days. We like sitting outdoors under the patio. They have heaters in the winter too! Their drinks are incredibly unique and fun but their brunch offerings are also really excellent. Generally, I would say this a good place for groups and a fun time. It's a couple steps above bar food and has a fun Filipino flair. Ube is very present across their food and drinks. Their Hella Loco is want you want when you're hungover or just want a salty, satisfying meal. The ube Pancakes are very cute and instagrammable but aren't that strong in ube flavor. The crab wontons were as good as you would find them anywhere. I would highly recommend the mangonada slushy if you like those flavors, the ubelada was a little too alcoholic for my taste. I love that they have so many unique drink offerings but I was a little turned off to know that most of their drinks are pre-mixed and simply poured out when you order them. A great time saver, but I'm not sure the quality and taste could match a made-to-order cocktail. And still, I keep coming back. It's a great neighborhood place and if you need something in a pinch during a weekend morning or afternoon and don't know where to go, I would not hesitate to recommend this place.

Yelp
Mikey is amazing at what he does. Handled the tail end of Happy Hour like a pro. Arrived on a Wednesday past 5 and chose our seating at the bar. The first thing that Mikey does is check the clock for Happy Hour validity, then, gives us our waters. For this warm spring afternoon, we opted to get the Vodka Slushie Flight comprising of Ubelada (the best of the 4), Orange Creamsicle, Mangonada and Hawaiian POG. I added on a Ginger Lime Vodka Infusion with club soda. This HH drink didn't make a mark with me due to its lacking in flavor and kick. For HH small plates, we ordered the Chicken Lumpia, Fried Pork Rinds and Sisig Wings. All were decent bar food accompaniments with our cocktails. I decided to try out the Pork Adobo, but this also failed my flavor expectations. Overall, a nice experience here with props to the friendly service crew. The vibe is genuinely a chill bar type with outdoor seating by 19th St. A good tip would be to sit barside as the staff during Happy Hour were mostly concentrated there.

Yelp
The drinks here are so yummy!! I went twice this month. The first time it was packed inside so we grabbed a table outside. They didn't have misters on and their large fan wasn't connected, so it got warm fast. The second time we went we got lucky and got an indoor table, so I ordered a flight of mixed slushy drinks. They were okay -- not too boozy (which is fine), but each of the 4 flavors were too different to enjoy together as a "flight." The best one on the menu was the mangoneada one. Anyway, great spot but gets crowded fast. They have a fantastic pickle vodka though (had a shot). The staff is super friendly and great at recommending different drinks. Cool vibe!

Yelp
Midtown Spirits has quickly become a fan favorite among my friends and partners...... BUT.... On my most recent visit in August 2024.... I had followed the Instagram page for the business and noticed that they had an Ube inspired slushie. The bartender (did not catch her name, unfortunately) was so dismissive when I asked with, "yeah, not carrying that anymore, it's dole whip now" Here's my issue with that. Not only was her response super off putting and mildly insulting..... acting as if I am not aware of the drink specials or the business social media, if this is the case where a rotating drink is being featured and then it's NOT..... I would love for the team at Midtown Spirits to mention something to that effect on their social media. AKA, "July was Ube slushie. August is blah blah" make it easy for return guests to visit your location and enjoy these different flavor bombs! I really do love M.S. and we will return for the drinks.... but please be better about what is available and what's not. Thank you for reading!

Yelp
Midtown Spirits is a great distillery and restaurant in the heart of midtown. They offer a lot of Filipino inspired fusion dishes on their menu and unique specialty cocktails. Try the Hawaiian POG Slushy or the Strawberry Fields on a hot day. Can't beat the Corned Beef Breakfast with onions, two eggs and garlic rice, the Loco Moco or an order of the Chicken Lumpia for a weekend brunch. Give them a try!

Yelp
Stopped in after walking by many times. I found out they distill their own vodka, gin, and rum which I think is really cool. Our bartender was helpful and answered our questions. I got their seasonal gin cocktail and it was delicious. I also tried my favorite drink (dirty gin martini) and it was made perfectly. We enjoyed the heated patio and a cool evening.

Yelp
Parallel Street Parking on the street nearby was plentiful and was 2 hour parking. Across from the dog park, near Safeway/Ice Blocks and has an outdoor patio. It was the coolest day of the year and I wish we got a reservation for one of the tables, but we found seating at the high tops. Ordering is done inside. Drinks were mostly pre-mixed on tap. Water is available as self-serve. We got a number after ordering food inside. I got the MIDTOWN PLATE and my friend ordered the BREAKFAST FRIES. Potatoes were extra crispy and not oily at all. Food is simple, but fresh and hit the spot. Dog-Friendly and great vibes on the patio. I think it was such a beautiful, cool day in Sacramento that being outside made everyone happy. I can't wait to return and try their other foods.

Dalena H.

Yelp
My friend has been here a few times for drinks but never had the food so we checked it out for dinner. Wasn't busy at all on a Thursday night. I ordered chicken lumpia and chicken katsu with garlic rice. The food came out quick. The lumpia and katsu were perfectly crisped. The lumpia alone didn't taste good but paired very well with the sauce. It was interesting to have pickled carrots and daikon with my katsu. The dish felt like a vietnamese Filipino japanese fusion. It seemed like a lot of food but I devoured the whole thing. The garlic rice had the right amount of garlic that went well with the katsu.

Yelp
What an amazing find! I was originally searching for places that have "ube" and this place came up. I saw they had ube cocktails and ube pancakes and wanted to give this a try! I ordered the ube pancakes and my husband got the Loco Moco. SO GOOD. I ate all of my husbands garlic rice because it was so delicious, but next time I'll get my own! Servers were SO nice and genuine and I loved how this place has a bunch of lights inside and it made it feel unique and festive. Will definitely be back again!

Yelp
Another 5/5 for Midtown Spirits! We stopped by for brunch on a Saturday around 11:30/12PM. The place was busy but not overly crowded, which was great because we got to nab a seat at the bar after ordering our first round. We tried the Mangonada and the Hawaiian POG slushies! Soooo yummy, I asked for the Mangonada with extra chamoy and they served it up just perfect. These slushies are honestly dangerous, or Midtown Spirits is just that good. Their bartenders are THE nicest! I saw on their instagram that their Summer Gin had just been re-released, and wanted to know what I might go good with? The bartender let me try a bit and it went down so smooth, I had to get a Honey, Dew Me. This is their honey dew cocktail featuring their Summer Gin. Another excellent cocktail, please try this it's so refreshing and has amazing flowery notes. Later, while making conversation about the Bloody Mary Flight another bartender was making (so have to try this flight next time we're there), they offered us a sample of their Dill Pickle Bloody Mary. Honestly we almost bought the bottle and mix right there, it's amazing. These guys know how to mix an excellent cocktail. Their food remains equally amazing. It's simple, great ingredients with a twist of Hawaiian/Filipino fusion done right. Overall I love the consistency of Midtown Spirits every time we come they just do outstanding and make for amazing hosts.

Yelp
Good vibes, good food, and good drinks! The place itself was a little small and had limited seating, especially because I came on a rainy day, but vibes were great! It's right by the dog park so there were plenty of friendly dogs in their outdoor seating area and they had heat lamps to keep us warm. The food and drinks were yummy and I liked their Philipino twists on a lot of items (like the tocino chicken sandwhich and sisig pork belly fries). I can't wait to try them for brunch though because those items sounded truly amazing!!

Yelp
Took my niece and nephew here for their first times. They loved it! Another visit same results. This place never disappoints!

Yelp
My husband and I checked out Midtown Spirits for brunch on Saturday for the first time. It is located across from the BARK dog park under the overpass - you know which one I am talking about. I believe Midtown Spirits is where the Preservation and Co. Bloody Mary company used to be. You order at the counter upon entering and the food is brought out to you. They specialize in Vodka and Gin that it is even available for purchase to take home and enjoy! We ordered the Bloody Mary (made with their very own pickle vodka) and a Capitol Coffee (for a morning kick!). For food, we ordered the Musubi Bowl and the Longanisa Breakfast Sandwich with a Hash Brown on the side. My Musubi Bowl came with an egg that was too raw for my liking (slime egg), but instead of having them remake it, I just mixed it as best as I could with the rice on my plate. I'm a big fan of Musubi so I really enjoyed this overall especially with the Spam. My husband enjoyed his Breakfast Sandwich, but said the sauce on it was too sweet for his taste - I really enjoyed it! The inside is pretty small, but there is some bar and outdoor seating with a nice view of the dog park. Staff was friendly. We will definitely be back to check out their other food and drink options!

Yelp
Highly recommend brunch menu offered on the weekends. We had the Ube pancakes and Bananas Fosters French Toast, which were both delicious. YUM!

Yelp
I've been here several times and love their happy hour specials as well as occasional bottle sales (they have had a 30% discount on bottles at the end of January for the last 2 years if I remember correctly)! Their vodka and coffee liqueur is perfect for espresso martinis and their seasonal gin releases are fire. The hospitality and drinks are on point and with bar, table and outdoor patio seating, there are plenty of seats from which to choose. The brunch options include ube pancakes and breakfast musubi. There was so much good stuff on the menu on my last visit, I wish I could have tried a lot more. The breakfast musubi was good and my friend enjoyed his breakfast as well; I'll be back for the next bottle sale or warm-weather brunch, whichever comes first!

Yelp
Good food, nice staff, & good drinks! Came for brunch and loved their ube pancakes. My partner & I shared a slushy flight & it was just the right amount of alcohol for both of us. Our favorites were the mangonada & the Hawaiian POG.

Yelp
We had the mangolada, pom, adobo with rice, spam with bacon and hash brown. The spam was good but adobo doesn't taste like the I had at other place.

Yelp
I LOVE MIDTOWN SPIRITS! I am a fan of their happy hour. I frequent it at least once a month. They have so many delicious food and adult beverage options. My go to's are the wings, fries, and nuts. One thing that I love that is not on their happy hour menu is the lumpia. The contents are amazing and it is fried to perfection. Every time I came here, I was kindly greeted by the great employees. I love to get flights at establishments that sell alcohol so one thing I love from here is their flights. The bartender is definitely knowledgeable and can direct you on a perfect drink if you are stuck and do not know what to order. There's street parking near Midtown Spirits. I like to park near the dog park or on the street near the grocery store. When you walk in, there's great decorations (especially seasonal decorations) The whole place, inside and out is welcoming and a fun environment. I love it here and totally recommend that you check it out.

Yelp
The service here is friendly, quick, and easy! I ordered their Ube Pancake. Surprisingly not too sweet which I find delightful. I also ordered a side of bacon, and to my surprise it wasn't greasy at all! The interior is a little on the smaller side, but they can't really control that. They made it up with their cute decor and ambiance. I came here after having a poor experience at a restaurant down the street and honestly, this place absolutely saved my appetite! Will be coming here again, and again(and again)!

Yelp
Nice outdoor patio that you can bring your dog on. Ordered the happy hour fries, an old fashioned and white linen. Everything was good. Just go up to the counter and they take your order and bring it out to you.

Yelp
Updating my review to 5 stars, because I've been here enough that I can say it's consistently great. Recently had the Bloody Mary flight which is so cute, but a little pricey at $25. I will say that it was unique and tasty though. I love their slushies. Recently tried their new peaches and cream which is a little too much cream for me personally, but all of the others are great! The service is always good, even when it's busy and I love that they rotate seasonal drinks. My favorites here are peach John Daly, orange creamsicle slushy, Bloody Mary with dill pickle vodka.

Yelp
Ive been wanting to try this place, I see the Halloween or Christmas decorations outside. Seat yourself, order at bar, leave card for payment or close tab, sit at table and wait to be served. Happy hour Tuesday-FRIDAY 3pm-6pm is something you don't want to miss, especially if you want to try their cocktails. All drinks are made with their in house spirits. I tried the Blackberry Margarita Sour which was boozy and delicious! Midtown mule was also very strong so I do recommend drinking here. I also recommend the lemon pepper wings, crispy and flavorful. We chose a few other happy hour food bites - deviled eggs, Philly fries, chicken lumpia (hand rolled), Bloody Mary bbq wings (won't order these again) distillery board(another miss) baked potato fries... and tonight (Tuesday) they had game boards out. My table played game of LIFE and I won! I'll be back for more to try brunch on the weekend. All in all, place is clean, restrooms very clean, bartender and server very helpful and efficient.

Yelp
Ok! I am a beer guy to be clear. But let me tell you, this place was super cool! The sound of grapefruit vodka was intriguing, I asked the AMAZING bartender, cant remember her name, to make me a drink and she made an INCREDIBLE drink! The space was super cool too, can't wait to come back very soon! Yummy salad as well!

Yelp
I went on a Saturday morning for brunch after a night of drinking with friends. The pork belly sisig was an AMAZING hangover cure. It was so flavorful and hearty. The pork belly was tender and the combo of everything together was heaven. My friend ordered the musubi bowl, the presentation was different than what we expected (thought it would be like a poki bowl) but it was beautiful and delicious. You have to order in the bar but the bartenders and servers were friendly. It was nice and peaceful outside and lively inside. I am drooling just thinking about the pork belly sisig. Can't wait to go back to try it again and maybe try some cocktails!
