Went in and got the special, which was some spicy turkey sandwich and a side I believe. I opted to get it on a croissant, and I really enjoyed it. The Mac and cheese was fairly good, creamy but maybe a bit bland. The gumbo was great! My wife got a half sandwich and side, and her half was teeny. I thought the portion sizes were very much lacking, but when I saw hers it was comically small. This part is on me, as I should’ve asked about the pricing, I just assumed the special was likely a cheaper option than most sandwiches. We ended up spending 40 dollars, and leaving hungry, but the food itself was good! If you don’t mind paying a bit more, I recommend it. The inside was small and a bit cramped/noisy, but that’s expected in a small deli, especially around the holidays. My wife did describe the atmosphere as charming, as it has a “small town” feel.

We were visiting Norman from Michigan for a football game. We were looking for a place to pick up sandwiches before tailgating. I happened to find the Midway Grocery and Market while searching online. We stopped in to check everything out. We ordered sandwiches and while waiting decided to just hang out and tailgate at Midway. Everyone was so friendly from the staff, to the other locals eating there to the band playing live music. We found an awesome place. The food was good but the atmosphere was even better. It was also not too far of a walk to the stadium right from Midway.

I’ve eaten goodies from Midway Deli, from knowing Bob and Maricha. I visited inside the store/deli this morning and was truly blown away! Immediately I could feel such good energy and great memories everywhere, literally from floor to ceiling! I ordered to go, got the breakfast burrito and of course, a staple being a cinnamon roll. I’ve never had a breakfast burrito with chili inside, but it opened me to a new perspective of breakfast! Perfectly balanced flavors, and well put together resulting in no mess. Highly recommend checking out Midway Deli, especially if you’re local to Norman.

If you're new to Norman, this is the place to visit. It has so much history and a lot of locals visit here on the weekly. Lindsey and Max make this place homey and welcome. The service and homey atmosphere are why people come time and time again. I got the spring melt and Bob's chili. Good sandwich - clearly fresh ingredients but it's not THE best I've had. Chocolate chip cookie had TONS of chocolate chips, my son got banana pudding and raved about it. Bob's chili is a classic chili without beans so a plus for the anti beans bunch. Would recommend and will visit again!

Such a cute little hole in the wall. I had been waiting for months to visit this place after a recommendation, and I'm glad I finally went. The sandwiches are very good with quality meats and cheeses on them. I had the Italian, and my lunch partner had roast beef and cheese. Both outstanding. That roast beef isn't fake. Neither were the deli meats on my Italian. Such delicious breads. And believe me, you won't want to leave without a cookie or a muffin. The chocolate muffin was warm, and there were chocolate chunks all throughout. It was so moist! We will be back!

I have eaten at Midway several times now, and I'm a fan. My favorite time to order is when I am in office and the rest of my team is out, leaving me to find lunch alone. I order the Vulcan, and I usually grab it to go and take it back to my office. I have also tried the Slammin' Sammy, John Hancock, Chili, and mac & cheese. It's all great!

John from Midway Deli came up to me yesterday while I was promoting our Emergency Management Agency at the National Weather Festival and offered me a free meal. I thought about it for a while, and I'm glad I took him up on the offer!!! I had The Vulcan, and it was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!!! Afterward, I told them how great the sandwich was, and John thought my tire looked low, so he gave me a tire pressure reader so I could check it. Sure enough, it was! The employees at this establishment are incredible, and they support first responders. While I may live 2 hours and 30 minutes away, I will 100% be back when I'm in the area. You all seriously rock!!!!!
