The Best Pantry Finds From All of Canada's Provinces and Territories

"An artisanal hot-honey sauce built on a fiery, aromatic base of habanero chile and carrot balanced with summer honey from on-site beehives; the finished product is described bluntly as “so fricking tasty that you'll find an excuse to use it on everything.” Boutique open daily except Sunday at 111 Rang 2 Gravel, Ferme-Neuve; Quebec-based retailers listed via the store locator and Signé Local ships to the U.S." - Aman Dosanj

"Pollen & Nectar is a casual canteen set in the heart of the High Laurentians. It showcases a simple, flavourful menu aimed at highlighting the beauty of Miels d’Anicet’s wild, organic honeys. Owners Anicet Desrochers and Anne-Virginie Schmidt devote their lives to beekeeping, they also specialize in rearing queen bees, and market beauty products made from edible ingredients. We were the very first guests of the season, visiting from Montreal with our dog. Though we had booked an outdoor table, heavy rain hit just before we arrived. Thankfully, the staff welcomed us warmly, arranged a cozy spot for our pup, and checked on us throughout the meal. The presentation was stunning, and every sauce and dressing felt refined and creative. The dishes were made with fresh, healthy ingredients, and the flavors were fantastic. Our server was also incredibly kind and informative. The romantic, rustic decor and peaceful countryside view made everything even more special. Sad that they’re only open during summer—this place truly deserves to be enjoyed year-round!

An absolute must stop and shop if your in the area. Beautiful grounds, great set up, stocked store and a fun bar area to try their drinks.(non alcoholic available) Great staff ready to answer questions. Store includes: honey, soaps, sprays, drinks, candies and even chocolate made on site

I loved the fact when I went many years ago you could have seen them make the honey ! You can not any longer . Beautiful spot but I believe different ownership group ! The honey sold is actually more expensive than their distribution network and probably find it cheaper . nice spot and drive so all good and I have faith that honey and quality has not changed and is pure ! I hope

Loved our experience at Miels d’Ancient. The views are incredible, and the food is fresh and local. The place is very cosy and the service is attentive. Book in advance as it gets pretty busy. Nice little boutique where you can buy honey and other things.

What a hidden gem! We stumbled upon Miels D’Anicet a couple of years ago but weren’t able to get a reservation for the onsite restaurant at the time. A long awaited lunch here didn’t disappoint. Attentive service and a tasty, honey inspired menu. Would absolutely recommend.

have yet to visit the farm, but their honeys are just delicious ! i have been eating this year’s spring honey on a buttered toast for breakfast, it is smooth with just the perfect hint of sweet sharpness, kinda like a clear honey with a twinge of something more herbal and stronger 🩷

Such a lovely spot, wonderful staff, beautiful views and fantastic food! A bit pricey at $35 for a pizza but it's a neat experience when you're looking for something different. And neat honey products!!
