"Many restaurants in Vietnam focus on a concise menu starring one key ingredient. In this 40-plus-year-old shop, the menu revolves around eel as in eel noodles, eel congee and eel soup. For the noodles, they use rice vermicelli which is made into noodle soup, or tossed with deep-fried shredded eel, herbs, toasted peanuts and shallots. If I can give more stars, I would! I'm a tourist from Malaysia and this meal is the bestttt everrr. You'd love it if you're into zesty, savoury, great textured food. So the herbs and optional lime adds the zest, the fragrant fish sauce adds the savoury, and the slippery glass noodles + thin crunchy eel bites really make everything go so heavenly in 1 bite. We went back twice in 2 days cuz it was so appetising. Also bought the packaged fried eel. They don't smell fishy at all. Highly recommended!

A very compact cafe and service were quick here. It's light on stomach when taking the eel porridge, fried eel were good too. Eel soup were thick and almost taste like seafood soup if you add vinegar. Overall a good experience as well is not heavy on stomach. A Michelin guide shop.

Discover this place on the morning walks , was Michelin recommended so stopped here for a quick breakfast bit of eel. It’s was full of local who love what’s served . Quality was okay . We tried the congee , Crispy eel with rice vermicelli which was our high light . The fried eel cakes were okay a bit dry but not much flavour . Very reasonable cheap eat - A tourist should try 👍

This was part of our Michelin food tour around Hanoi. They're known for their eel with noodles and I was curious to try it. I usually like eel/unagi, but I didn't enjoy this one as much. Maybe I just don't prefer this style of cooking. My companions liked their food though, so its still worth trying if you are into eel dishes.

Restaurant in old town Hanoi that was Michelin recommended. This spot serves crispy eel with noodles or in congee. I opted for the noodles dried with no soup. The enteee was served with glass noodles with peanuts , herbs and cucumbers. It was a pleasant experience as the eel was crispy with a hint of lemongrass.

The glass noodles is so so ok, the fried eels a bit oily for me. The fried eels cake is nice, mixed well with the sauce. Staffs and “look like” boss are not so friendly that I wasn’t surprised much.

Clear vermicelli soup with fried eels was a dish I had never tried before. The fried salty eels weren’t my favorite combination with the simple broth but that’s just my taste palate. I’m glad I tried this meal!

Got the first option on the menu - deep fried eel on a glass noodle salad. Possibly the best meal I had in Hanoi. Can’t wait to return.
