18 Essential Cookbooks From San Francisco Restaurants | Eater SF

"This sweet, retro-adorable cookbook lives up to the shop: the cakes are as cute as the packaging, and I love the fluted gingersnaps, pastel buttercreams, and tomboy cakes topped with a single rose." - Becky Duffett

The French dip was quite yummy (but $28!) and the tomato soup was just ok and not even half full (had a to go order as dogs aren’t allowed on their outdoor patio). Wife also had the grilled cheese. $55 total for lunch. Obviously meant to be a more bougie establishment. Food was good just not THAT good to justify the cost.

Very cute and tasty lunch spot. We ordered the tomato bisque with added crab, the seasonal chef salad, and the burger, finishing with the two tasty dessert bites. Everything was very high quality and extremely delicious, and staff was attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for high class establishment, just be aware that people may line up before they open at 1130, so it doesn’t hurt to be a little early.

Wow! Miette is a hidden gem of Crested Butte. I took my parents and my girlfriend here on my parents last night in town. We sat in a beautiful courtyard and enjoyed the sunshine. The service was immaculate and the food was just as good! We had the apricot gazpacho soup, beef tartare and the BEST burger in the entire world. From start to finish our experience was tremendous, I would highly recommend Miette to anybody looking for a very special dining experience. Props to our amazing server, Hayden and the best chef in town. John, you are a gentlemen and scholar!

Beautifully plated, creative, and elevated dishes served by attentive staff but without feeling stuffy. You can tell that they pay attention to the details: from the menu design, to the quality place settings, to the pace of service. Loved the intimate feel of the converted space and honestly enjoyed every dish!

After reading great reviews of this place, my husband and I were excited to celebrate our anniversary here last night. We were beyond disappointed!!!! First, we were seated at a small table right by the kitchen opening where all of the waitresses were loud and scurrying around like chickens with their heads cut off. My husband ordered a hamburger, fatty and tasteless it appeared solo on a small plate…my salmon, was ok at best and we were encouraged to order the lemon butter sauce at an extra $7, I’ve never been to a fine restaurant where you ordered the sauce for an extra fee!? The side of broccolini was dripping in a butter garlic sauce that the waitress dripped all over me when she brought it to our table. The lobster bisque was honestly terrible, I wanted to like it but it was awful and without any lobster at all! All in all, we were very disappointed with the food, service and overall ambience, and to boot with out any drinks or desert our bill came to $130 for a sm plated , mediocre meal! We will not return to Miette, 2 stars is generous.

The food was the best I’ve had in Crested Butte! Very unique options. The duck confit was my favorite of the three dishes we tried. The special sauce on the hamburger was also delicious! I can’t wait to go back and tell all my friends about this hidden gem.

Incredible meal and amazing service in a cozy cabin with a snowy view. Hard to beat! Love how you can build your own plate. The drink selection is on point too. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful lunch spot! We had the BLT and French Dip which were both delicious. A really unique and thoughtfully designed restaurant with old charm and a cozy feeling.

Yelp
Ambiance - First, this is the same venue as Soupcon which is a lovely, cozy little cabin off the main street in Crested Butte. It is a small building which perpetuates the snug and intimate feel. Food - The same chef and kitchen staff are running the show food-wise. This menu is a la carte so you can get some of the same vibes as the full Soupcon experience. My daughter and I began our experience with two excellent cocktails - "Sparkling Greyhound" and the "Sippin on Gin & Peach" and then shared the beef tartar, escargot for starters which were both excellent. The apricot gazpacho (similar to the lovely Peach Gazpacho on the Soupcon menu) was amazing - slightly sweet and tangy - and very refreshing although i did see a couple of salads that looked nice. Our entree was the seabass accompanied by the yummy potato gratin and incredible roasted carrots. I wish we had been able to order dessert! Service - The one area that needs a little improvement. The hostess should know who is coming in and where their table is - it's a small place. One of the servers was a bit confused on which table placed which order. This will probably even out as we were there the second weekend. We will definately return to enjoy stellar food from Chef John is a more casual format!

Yelp
Restaurant was out of short ribs and duck entree. Didn't only left 5 other items. 2 of 6 dinners at our table ordered salmon - portion was so small they apologized for it, saying it was all they had left. Would have been nice if they had offered a substitute before delivering it. Service was poor and waitress was not friendly - could not get our waitress's attention to refill drinks. Water bottle is left on table which we emptied while we waited quite a while for food to be served. Food was good - unfortunately the service and execution was not.
