we went on a wednesday and it was quiet but not too quiet. this place isn’t overhyped yet and nicely tucked away by i sodi. we got the octopus, truffle ravioli and mushroom risotto. the octopus was super flavourful and nicely charred. the highlight was definitely the ravioli. not too much truffle but the perfect amount mixed in with the creamy ricotta filling to making you wanting more. great vibe too. risotto was good but a bit salty. overall great experience. bread was amazing too!

Very kind staff, pretty place in the middle of a busy area with tons of other options. The place was quite packed with not much room around tables. Service was timely. We only tried the vegetarian items on the menu, and they were clearly marked which was great! The food itself was okay, we liked the risotto. The gnudi portion size was very small, and the eggplant was pretty standard. The fresh bread was amazing, and cocktails were interesting.

Finally an Italian restaurant befitting of Bleecker street! The ambiance is fantastic, as is the service. The staff is super attentive and makes sure to greet everyone when they come in. The food is surprisingly unique for an Italian restaurant in New York. I ordered the Gnudi, which I’d never heard of before. It was served on a small plate - beautiful presentation and the right portion. There are candles, exposed brick walls, and cozy tables. The Beetles music in the background lightens the mood and compliments the cocktails well. Mi Garba is a perfect addition to the west village!

My buddy wanted to take me out for my birthday and we were in West Village. He read about this place as being new with rave reviews for their food and their inventive cocktails. They had a few two seaters outside in the front. The inside was kind of dark but with a larger bar in the front giving way to a cozy seating in the back. There was access to an outdoor space through the back but we were told that they were still getting permits to build that out. You can tell it will be beautiful at night when they build it. We were taken to our seat right away (no reservations) by the hostess/manager, Mary. She spoke with a warm Italian accent that made to think that you actually might get a real Italian meal. First our drinks - their cocktail menu had all sorts of interesting sounding concoctions. My scotch drinking friend ordered the Boccaccio and I got the Nina. The Boccaccio shows up in a nice rocks glass with a chocolate peel on top. Despite initially turning his nose up at makers mark, my friend really enjoyed his drink. The "Nina" was definitely sweeter and fruity but like the other one left you thinking that it was a quality drink. For food we split the pappardelle as an appetizer. Branzino and skirt steak for mains. The pappardelle had the perfect al dente but slightly chewy texture in a rich sauce. I heard the branzino was good - it looked terrific with crispy skin side up. The skirt steak was served with a chimichurri like sauce - no potatoes but roasted peppers instead. In retrospect, while delicious, I kinda regret not sticking to more traditional Italian fare which I’m sure would have been even more awesome. Service was terrific and Mary was terrific in helping celebrate my birthday. As you’d might expect, slightly pricy and slightly smallish portions but everything was so well worth it.

Amazing spot in the west village! We ordered the grilled mediterranean octopus and each a pasta, and had absolutely no complaints! Everything was 10/10, which is rare for me to say. The woman taking care of us was so sweet and attentive. We celebrated my birthday there, and they gave us a complimentary dessert. Tiramisu was also delicious, it had such an interesting twist that you must come and try. Could not recommend this place more.

Live the place and atmosphere there - the location it’s lovely! The food is not so much authentic in terms of flavors, but the dishes def are. I appreciated the staff speaking and being Italian 😊

Drawn in as I walked past happy diners and spied some great looking cocktails. Small and quaint, I was undecided and left my drink up to the bartender. Drink was off the charts good and unique and the ambiance was only topped by the service.

Truly Amazing! Everything from the food & drinks to the atmosphere & service was incredible. The creativity of the cocktail list and the authentic Italian cuisine were 10/10. Absolutely recommend!
