"Traci Des Jardins closed Mijita Cocina Mexicana in December, after 15 years of chilaquiles, simply saying her lease was up." - Becky Duffett

Liked the place. We just went for evening snacks. We’ve ordered veggies taco. It was good. If you like maxican food then try this place. Traditional maxican interior. They have outside sitting either. View is really good from outside. You can sit out and view bay. Decent place to go if you’re lightly hungry.

I ate here for lunch during a recent business trip. While the food was good, I felt that the prices were quite high. I was especially surprised by the large surcharge on my bill that I have seen several other people mention. If you’re not a fan of spicy food, beware of the red sauce they put on their tortas. It caught me by surprise and caused to not be able to eat part of my meal. All in all, this is a decent place to eat, but it seems like other places in the area are better for the price.

I don't know what to say about this place. San Francisco has given me some of the most delicious, flavorful Mexican food heaven I have ever tried. This place was not it. The nachos were a concoctoned mix of tomato based sauce, little drip of sour creme, some sort of cheese like stuff and cardboard. The burritos were filled with what looked like bitumen (don't get me wrong, it could be a mouth watering mix if the garlicky peppery, encebollado aftertaste followed suit, but nope, this was not it either). The service was good, the employees seemed very dedicated, how we got to over 30 bucks on the bill can only be explained by the amount of taxes and surcharges applied to the bill, not factored when looking at the very deceiving board prices. I have no idea when it became acceptable to apply such surcharges instead of updating the actual prices of what you are selling. Not to visit again.

High price. Don’t ignore that small surcharge sign. Salsa was bland and mild. Tacos are strictly soft shell, but still not bad. I wouldn’t mind returning - it was fast.

Overpriced, not very friendly staff at the counter and the quesadilla was way too greasy and fat... tasted like fried food. For the first time that I didn't finish my Mexican food.

Food was delicious, beers a little expensive. But it's an excellent choice if you want mexican food!

This place was tucked away inside the Ferry Building Marketplace and a great find! Their taco and burrito options were great, and well priced for the area. The line was huge, but moved pretty quickly. They also had seating inside and out. I'd recommend the steak tacos! They were only $4 and along with a side of chips and salsa, I had plenty to eat.

Very good tacos, friendly staff! The service was quick and food was inexpensive. Great place for a quick lunch.
