Mika, a stylish Italian haven by Chef Michael White in Coral Gables, offers exquisite crudos, housemade pastas, and prime steaks in a chic, inviting atmosphere.
"You’re not coming down with a sinus infection. The reason you’re having a hard time tasting the food at Mika is because most dishes here lack seasoning. The attentive and knowledgeable service doesn’t make up for the bland food, but it does make this a viable option for a business dinner with your boss who’s on a low-sodium diet. Still, it’s hard to justify paying $96 for a soggy veal parm even with a corporate card. Even the interesting-sounding dishes here, like their lobster and burrata, fall flat. Not because they’re untraditional or have conflicting flavors, but because you can’t taste the lobster. These dishes are as bland as the cream walls and brown ceiling that surround the dining room, and there are too many better Italian options in Coral Gables to pay attention to this place." - Virginia Otazo
"Mika is a big, new Italian restaurant in Coral Gables offering “tastes of the Riviera”. Open for lunch and dinner, the menu has pasta, swordfish, steak frites, and roast chicken. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Mariana Trabanino
