NYC Restaurants With Bubble Tables & Tents - New York - The Infatuation

"Mika is a beer bar with a space in Bushwick that could easily handle a wedding in the before times. It’s massive. Their outdoor area has a few spaced-out tables, as well as two plastic tents where you can use wifi to get work done or have drinks. You’ll have to go through Mika’s indoor area to get to the backyard, and they will check your temperature and ask for contact info for tracing purposes." - hannah albertine, nikko duren

I’ve been to at least 6 different flower shops in the city and Mika is by far the best. Let me tell you all the reasons they are amazing. 1. Extremely diverse collection of plants and plant products as well as house made ceramic pots and lots of other fantastic products at an affordable price. 2. The staff are extremely knowledgeable. They’ve been able to answer every question I’ve thrown at them even though I come loaded with at least 10 questions every time. Sometimes I ask them for advice about plants I’ve bought at different stores. Mika contradicts the advice I was originally given and following their strategies to plant care has made my plants thrive more than ever. 3. Not only will they remember who you are, they make you feel welcome. There is no such thing as a stupid question at Mika. 4. They have a really good point reward system, which I’ve never seen a flower shop have a reward system other than Mika. They also do email receipts which is great for the environment. 5. The owners are wonderful people. I’m much happier supporting their small business than any other store. 6. Every time I’ve went I’ve only seen happy customers. So it’s not only me that has a wonderful experience at their store, it’s everyone.

The coziest gift shop with great selection and the nicest staff! I recently went to Mika to pick out Christmas gifts for my friends and I was absolutely in love with the shop. The vibe was so great and the people there are both friendly and helpful. Special shoutout to Luna who helped me pick out a great gift box and also gave me advice on taking care of my house plants. It was overall a great experience and I will definitely recommend Mika for holiday shopping!!

Very cute store! It felt very cozy and lovely to be in. The person who worked there was nice and they had some cool stuff! And a lot of really nice pottery and plants. If I remember correctly there is a lot of natural light in the store as well which is lovely. I recommend checking this store out!

Fantastic store with wonderful owner and staff. This store has been so helpful and informative in helping me prepare my loft for my 50th birthday party. Orchids, air plants, succulents, snake plants, ficus... Lots of selection and beautiful hand made pots. Note that my photos are not in the store but of plants in my own place that were purchased at Mika. Highly recommended.

Such a beautiful little shop. I was recommended here while on the hunt for local teaware and was delighted to find a handmade shiboridashi (really hard to find in the city!) I also purchased a small sake cup and will likely stop by soon for another. I've already used the shiboridashi at home to brew some sencha and am very pleased with the construction and function of the vessel. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area! There is a nice selection of products that you might not find elsewhere in addition to the owners' pottery.

I've been to MIKA a few times now. Easy access using the 505 steeetcar on Dundas. It's my favourite plant store around here as it's reasonable and have a great selection of plants, body care and gardening accessories in their store! The plants are fresh, well taken care of and they grow healthy. Compared to my other plants that wither away quick. All the beautiful pottery in the photo are from MIKA too which they handmake them! I will continue being a loyal customer to MIKA. :)
