If I could possibly give more stars for service I definitely would. We had Ann as our server, she was so nice and funny, her food recommendations were spot on, the food was beyond delicious. The lobster roll was my favorite so juicy and buttery. We did dinner, Ann also recommended lunch but it will be for another day. The restaurants ambiance is nice, it’s dim and the decor is amazing. I really had a great time. Dessert was amazing. Definitely try the fried banana w ice cream. Also prices as very good, and it’s a lot of food. We paid $80 for 5 different sushi rolls, and an appetizer and dessert. I left the pictures below. Also don’t forget to check out their buffet in Altamonte springs.

Mikado is our go-to spot whenever we’re craving sushi in Orlando. They have a great variety on the menu, and the service is always on point. This time, we tried the Wagyu hand roll and it did not disappoint, it literally melted in our mouths. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Not the best Takoyaki we have tried ( we have been in Japan twice) but they were good) Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality sushi and a consistently great dining experience!

Live in hunters creek and decided to try some take out from here. The ramen melted in the container and got all over my cars carpet. The broth that didn’t leak out wasn’t bad pork was tasty. Ordered two sushi rolls about $15 each. Very small amount of sushi and was hoping taste would make up for it but it tasted old to me and had soggy tempura and would honestly prefer Publix sushi. Really wanted to like this place as I live 5 minutes away but probably won’t be back.

I came here once with a friend, today I was by myself. And Isabella was so nice, I felt so taken care of by her, very sweet and attentive, definitely coming back again and again if she will be my server. Oh the food and atmosphere is amazing

Got there right as it opened. Was greeted, seated, and got drink orders less than a minute after arriving. Appetizers and sushi came out lightning fast, atmosphere was really nice, presentation was awesome, staff were very nice. Overall 10/10! Best sushi I’ve had, and I’ve been to quite a few.

I travel for work and always get tasked with finding local steak and sushi restaurants. Myself and my clients were lucky enough to experience this gem outside of Disney a couple weeks back. 5 of us sat at the sushi bar as we are sashimi fans. The service was excellent and very informed on their strengths and menu specialties. I will be back next time I am in Orlando for the fresh fish and the bonus of our great server!

Amazing sushi rolls and fantastic service. We were looking to try some sushi while visiting Orlando and came across this place online based on the photos and reviews. Well worth the drive from anywhere in Orlando. Some of the best tasting sushi rolls I’ve tried. So many unique combinations and flavours. Personally recommend the Volcano roll! 😋 The service was also excellent. Friendly and helpful waitress served us and the food arrived quickly. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for awesome sushi with some rolls that are unique.

What a nice and great restaurant! Employees are extremely friendly and attentive! food was amazing and the dessert Mochi was delicious!! Our server Estefan was awesome and very friendly!

This is one of the best sushi spots in Orlando... especially without it costing you $300 per person-- and I am a highly experienced connoisseur of sushi. I've brought just about every friend, colleague and client possible to Mikado. When they come back in town, they usually choose to come here again. I find their menu has plenty of options for every pallet and their sushi offerings are very high-quality (I absolutely love the Otoro and Hamachi). The service is wonderful, though they can't get busy. I would recommend reservations on busy nights, such as Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Also, if you plan to visit near closing, call ahead to verify the last seating time.

Amazing! I absolutely love them. I moved here in 2014 and I keep coming back!!! I miss the octopus salad but adding Waygu is a keeper. Server was great!!!

Our must-go to whenever we are in Orlando. I can't remember the names of all the rolls but service is quick and the one w the mixed kani on top is amazing. They can get super busy so suggest trying a reservation or getting there when they open. If you wing it like we did once, even take out can be long :)

We went on New Year's Eve and were able to make a last minute reservation. I never knew they took them until that day, so I was happy that I called to inquire about wait times. As usual, the service was stellar from the warm greeting at the door to our server throughout the meal. It was such a wonderful way to end a long year. I was excited to see they have a seasonal menu now. I always felt like I was missing out on specials in the past because I would forget to read the board. I highly recommend trying out the new offerings in the seasonal menu. They were absolutely amazing and a nice change of pace from our usual rolls. I'll have to go back soon to try a few more of the new seasonal rolls. Sexy Lady & Foxy Lady are must tries from the seasonal menu! I always love the presentation for our rolls too. It just an added extra part that makes me smile! Joy enjoy a lovely sushi dinner out!

The food is here is delicious I love the crab Rangoon and the hibachi steak is truly my favorite. They have lots of options the fried rice is also amazing. Staff is always friendly and helpful .

You know you're a fan of a place if you go twice during your vacation. My family and I were craving for sushi one night and came to Mikado Sushi. Everyone was sooooo nice! This is definitely the best service I've ever had in my life. The hostess and our waiter were lovely. We ordered a variety of rolls and they were all delicious. I thought it was fairly pricey until I realized you get 8 pieces per roll. The decor is really cute and I would rather if I am ever in this area again.

Super good food! I came here on a Sunday night and there was no wait. I ordered the Bento Box with Hibachi Chicken and Philly Roll and it was delicious. The portion size was pretty big but the price matched the size. Staff were super friend and nice as well. Overall, good food and service! Would definitely go back!

Excellent food! I got the poke bowl and it was a lot of food! I couldn't finish it but the fish was super flavorful and fresh! Hot sake and garlic edamame were great! Also the best miso soup was the best I've had! Service was on point and quick!! Place was super cute!

The food here is absolutely delicious! I ordered their mango shrimp tempura signature roll and it was outstandingly tasty and delightful! My boyfriend and I decided to order their hibachi platter, we chose shrimp, top sirloin steak and calamari....it was soooo delicious! This platter came with rice,noodles and vegetables...such a great deal! The salad I felt like they could have done better. I would have liked the more fresh ginger dressing not the creamy kind. Miso soup was on point. My boyfriend felt like his soup lacked flavor but it wasn't completely bad. Their moscato was really good too and refreshing,not expensive at all. Ambiance was cozy and the service was quick!

I want to first give a shout out to Typhonese our waiter who was very very pleasant and took care of us despite our little mishap with the food. He was extremely tentative and we never had to wait for his service. I arrived around 5pm on a Wednesday and was sat immediately by the windows. I had a chance to look over the window and the waiter took my drink order. I told him I had a friend coming and she would probably want water so as soon as she arrived Typhonese had the water right out to her. I ended up ordering the Philadelphia roll and the Key west roll. My friend ordered the dragon roll. The presentation of these rolls was amazing. The rolls were so pretty just look at the pictures! Unfortunately when my friend was nearing the end of her meal, she spotted an eyelash on her plate. it happens, I get it . But still gross. Our waiter took it away, offered to bring us another roll and took it off our bill. We opted for the rainbow roll which was not as good but still tasty and fresh. I would be willing to come again to get different rolls. They're prices for the rolls were a bit pricey and I wish they had a happy hour, but even with the dish having to be taken away, I would still try it again . It's hard to find fresh sushi and I feel like this place was very good and did have fresh rolls.

Continues to never disappoint. We do, however, miss our sushi chef and the personal attention he paid to us when we walked in. Seems like they have some new staff - and all are customer experience inclined and well trained. We seem to have picked up a few new favorites to our sushi list (we have tried all) - Drama Queen + Tango Mango. We love that this place is small, quaint and always full. We typically sit at bar and love all the action! Although full, service time is just right!

Came here for Valentine's Day dinner. There was a wait, as expected. We only waited maybe 40 minutes for 2 at 8pm. We ordered the Krab Rangoons to start. Very good. We also ordered a Volcano Roll, the Philadelphia Roll, and the Tiger Roll. All 3 were amazing! Would definitely come back and recommend!

Our go to sushi place! We love mikado. We tried dining in and pick up and both are good. Fresh quality of fish, decent portion and fair price. We always get some rolls and sashimi. Our favorite is mikado roll, it has good combination of flavors because it has eel, salmon, shrimp and avocado. It has a bit of sweetness because of the eel. Godzilla and new york roll is pretty good too. You'll get confuse on what to order because they have big selection in the menu but most of the food that we've tried so far never dissapoint. Service is top notch! I'll highly recommend this place!

This was a beautiful Japanese restaurant with very aesthetically pleasing decor. We were instantly sat and were helped quickly. They brought out our food quite fast, as everything tasted so fresh and well seasoned. Our waiter was super attentive and recommended some really yummy rolls! We started off with Krab Rangoons and fried Gyozas for the table. My favorite roll was the Lion King Roll (Shrimp tempura, eel & cream cheese w/mango sauce). I was very impressed when the "Drama Queen" roll was brought out; a masterpiece of Spicy tuna, avocado & crunch roll, laced with seared yellowtail, escolar, tobiko, topped w/jalapeno dressed with eel & spicy mayo. The other rolls pictured: Out of Control Roll: Shrimp tempura, crab, spicy tuna, yellowtail & avocado sliced encrusted w/masago, scallion, eel & spicy mayo. Super Crunch Roll: Tuna rolled with spicy mayo, masago, scallion, avocado & tempura flakes.

Food is alway very good here. Never have any issues. Great place that locals go to. Everything is very fresh and the table service is always good and very nice.

I happen to be over in this area, and decided to give this place a try. I am definitely on the hunt for the best sushi in Orlando. This place does not top the list, unfortunately. I was there at noon, and there were only two other couples. Maybe I should've guessed that it wasn't going to be very good. ‍ I had the New York Roll. Very bland, and dry. I was surprised there was no sauce whatsoever on the roll. I've never had a "dry" sushi roll before. I asked for some eel sauce. It was GROSS. Thick, gooey, and odd tasting. I also ordered the Kaki (deep fried oysters). They were way overcooked and there was too much breading and hardly any oyster. No dipping sauce was served so I asked to have some sauce for the oysters. Still didn't help either the roll or the oysters! Definitely won't return. I'll continue to search for great sushi, here in Orlando.

It's been over a year since we've been back. The fishes are still fresh and tasty. Not thrill about the new prices though. Their sweet tea is extremely sweet and not very tea taste, it's bearable if it's half unsweetened mix. Service was nice. It was pretty busy for a Wednesday night.

Hesitant about the bad reviews for this place we came in as it was located conveniently to where we were at the time. Called the restaurant to confirm that the closing time was 10pm, they said it was their closing time. It was 9:20pm when we walked through the door. The server approached our table and began to rush us saying we needed to place an order ASAP as their kitchen was closing in 3 minutes?! It was 9:27pm then. This confirms that the service at this place leaves a lot to say. They also turned away another group that came in almost at 9:30pm when they say the restaurant closes at 10pm. Now I'm thinking they made us a favor since all the reviews I'm reading speak about bad quality and expired fish. Thanks Mikado for avoiding us a further displeasing experience.

Let me start off by saying the food here is always great. We come or take out maybe once a week. My wife loves their poke bowl and sushi. I for one love their hibachi chicken & steak. This time around I tried their chicken tempura which was very good as well. The service is always on point and the staff is friendly. If your in the area, this restaurant is a must eat.

The food here is truly on another level. Everything we had was perfection, the service was top tier and the ambiance is relaxed, and perfect for casual dining. Their menu is insanely extensive with everything from sushi to soba to hibachi....my goodness!! Can't wait to go back because the flavors are simply perfectionI ordered the salmon hibachi, my husband the beef hibachi and our son the chicken hibachi. The fried rice is so spot on and flavorful, too. And the spicy edamame as appetizer, good God soo goodYou need to try this place out!

I hadn't been here in a very long time and quite honestly, I don't know what took me so long! We had about a 15 minute wait. Our orders were taken quickly and efficiently. I ordered a seaweed salad, a plum wine, a Mikado roll (their signature roll) and a Black Dragon roll (eel). I ordered steak fried rice for my son. His food came out first and I had to try it. The portion was perfect and the taste was to die for. I had enough for leftovers the next day, and it tasted even better! The seaweed salad was good. Had a little kick to it. The only thing I didn't like was that I felt like there was too many cucumber slices at the bottom. The Mikado Roll is deep fried. It has always been my favorite roll. The Black Dragon roll is a fancier and yummier version of a Dragon roll. Plum wine was deliciously sweet. More like a dessert wine. My son's Sprite had a weird aftertaste to it. Not sure why. Overall, great experience, yummy food, great service.

Was a fantastic place when I went to visit 5 years ago, fantastic when I went now. Highly recommend getting the Squid Salad and the Out of Control roll

No joke, I have been thinking about coming back to this place ever since I tried it for the first time last week! Sushi was so fresh and well taken care of, I had the Drama Queen, Super Crunch Roll, and the Out of Control. All spectacular and the service was om point! I went to the Hunter's Creek Location.

Stopped in for a quick late afternoon lunch and got the Salmon 3-ways and a Bonzai roll (I love a riceless roll). To make a riceless roll, the chef must be truly adept at slicing the cucumber into a long, thin sheet and then carefully roll so that it does not fall apart. They are not quite there yet. The cucumber was sliced too thick and inconsistently and the roll fell apart once I tried to pick it up with chopsticks. The flavors were great though! A nice buttery salmon is my favorite and they did a great job with the salmon Tataki and the salmon nigiri. The spicy salmon roll was just average. This was a perfect lunch for a hot afternoon in Florida. I would definitely come back on my next visit and try some other specialty rolls and nigiri. Hoping the add Sake Don to their menu!

I have been coming to this small Japanese restaurant for years now, and I am never disappointed! We were not super hungry so we ordered a dinner bento box and 2 rolls to share. The miso soups was so good! We also order a Poke Ball to go, which was super delicious! Our server was very friendly, and helped us do the changes needed to accommodate some food allergies. There are plenty of parking spaces and it is wheelchair accessible. Excellent choice!

I loved this place so much! The atmosphere is perfect for lunch or dinner and the food is so authentic. We started off with the gyoza and a seaweed salad. Both were delicious and I was super impressed with the unique plating. I loved that they included cucumbers (underneath) with the seaweed salad, I've never had that before but loved the added crunch! Asked for extra sauce with the gyoza because it was so good. Next I had the volcano roll and then the Godzilla roll. Both were enormous, you really get a lot for your money. I loved both of them but definitely preferred the volcano roll with all that krab on top. The Godzilla roll was deep fried I think which was fine, the crunch was nice but typically it's not something I would choose. My husband bad the tonkotsu and chicken fried rice. Both were so expertly cooked, I have never tasted that much flavor in a fried rice! The plating was impressive for this course as well, unique plates with fresh beautiful garnish. I also got a lychee martini which was not the best I've ever had but still tasty and strong. The service was efficient and our waitor was great! Overall I loved this dining experience and will definitely be back!!

This has been a spot I wanted to try for some time but unfortunately wasn't too impressed. The inside is super cute and cozy. We ordered a few rolls and I wasn't too happy with the raw fish. I ordered a new roll that I never got before called Crazy Roll. The sushi was room temperature which I would except the fish to be more cold or at least in the fridge. It wasn't tasty or fresh and wouldn't order this roll again. Cali roll and cucumber roll was pretty basic- not sure why a cucumber roll on its own is an option esp for $5 there's nothing else but cucumber and rice. The service was good overall. Also normally Japanese places offer hot tea for free but this place it's a tea bag so they charge.

Great Asian buffet . Lots of variety to chose from. The Suishi was plentiful and good . The hot dishes had wide variety and you can find a few dishes that are very good . Price is reasonable and service was good .

Nice people and busy place. The sushi was made to order as it should be, and very well made. It was very convenient to our friends house and the area seemed lively and not to bad for parking but very busy. We ordered raw and cooked items and both were great.

The service was amazing, they were always on time asking if you needed anymore condiments,and the food comes out quick but it is so delicate and delicious(ITS WORTH THE WAIT) the music is very lively and fun, it's a good place to go for a date and a night out with friends. Honestly my favorite sushi restaurant to go to. The food is amazing. 10/10 would recommend.

We got 3 sushi rolls and I'll liked them all, but I'll list them from least favorite to favorite. The mango roll was a roll we've never gotten anywhere before so that's why I wanted to try it. The roll was topped with a sliver of mango. It wasn't bad, but I guess it was my least favorite because I'm not used to having mango with sushi. It was definitely worth trying though (thumbs up emoji). 2nd favorite was the Ultimate Sandwich roll because of the variety of the whole roll: eel, tempura crunch, avocado wrapped with soybean paper, topped with tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and shrimp. Yum, yum, yum! And for my favorite of all 3 rolls was the Mikado roll because the I liked the tempura outside and everything in the roll was just absolutely delicious. I would definitely get it again and would definitely recommend this roll!

I love coming here for their lunch bento box, it is such a good deal and a great portion! I also love their sushi it's super fresh and tastes amazing. Staff is very kind and attentive. The space is so cozy and welcoming. Definitely one of my favorite spots!

Seriously one of the best sushi I have ever had and I'm from the coast! So we eat fresh sushi all the time and this was soooooooo good!! I love the pork dumplings and the soft shell crab and it genuinely took us 10 minutes to destroy three whole rolls of sushi just between me and my husband definitely 10/10 would recommend

Mikado Sushi has a very friendly lively atmosphere! I just moved to this area and its always nice to find great small intimate places to venture out to. The sushi was so tasty and fresh; they even customized my order. They staff wore masks and gloves! I had the miso soup, yummy roll, avocado roll, and house hot sake!! Love it!! #yummy #yummy

Awesome! After a long day we had Uber eats deliver several rolls to our hotel room. The service was perfect and the rolls were fresh and yummy!

First experience included great service on a Friday evening. Highly recommend a reservation which was easy by Google. Sushi was good too. Highly recommend the Oit of Control roll and deep fried cheesecake.

Mikado is a wonderful and intimate Japanese restaurant, good for dates and small gatherings. It's a small restaurant so I would encourage you to dine early and plan to be patient while your food is being prepared. I really enjoyed their toro and uni hand roll. I'd consider this a small dish and the seafood definitely compliments each other. The oyster shooters and sashimi were on point as well. I enjoyed their hamachi the most among the sashimi items I ordered. My friend and I ordered a glass of white/rose wine and they complimented our meal very well. I highly recommend Mikado for your sashimi cravings!

I want to update my review. I would give this place a 5 star. The fish is really fresh and you get a huge amount with very good quality of fish - one of the best. The food here is amazing and so is the service. This will be my to go sushi place. Love it. Highly recommend.

Food was good we had a variety of sushi and all were good. The hibachi was good too. I would recommend this restaurant if you're in the Hunters Creek area.

Great sushi spot in Hunters creek area. Love all the sushi roll options and plenty of parking as well since it's in a shared plaza. They were my go to sushi place during the pandemic, getting pick up orders of lunch specials here and there. (I always go for their eel roll) The inside is not too big so make sure to call ahead for larger parties. I was surprised they have good ramen as well that filled me up. The friendly atmosphere and great dishes are great for a quick sushi fix. Plus love the park close by to the restaurant where I can walk around to walk off the food. If you are in the Hunters creek area and want some sushi, check them out.

This is my favorite sushi restaurant in town!! They have the best Crab Rangoon!!! In case you don't like seaweed on your sushi rolls they do have soy paper available.

We were so happy when "our" sushi place opened back up - they have the absolute best sushi and hot food. Very nice and interactive staff. Honestly this is nearly a weekly stop for us.
