MikChan’s Is Opening in East Atlanta Village in the Former We Suki Suki Space For Szechuan Hot Dogs, Chinese Burgers, and Tacos - Eater Atlanta

"After finding success with JenChan’s in the Cabbagetown neighborhood three years ago, Emily and Jen Chan now plan to open a new restaurant in the heart of East Atlanta Village. MikChan’s, named for the couple’s young son, opens March 1, taking over the space once home to Quynh “Q” Trinh’s pho and bánh mì shop We Suki Suki on Flat Shoals Avenue." - Beth McKibben

Came for the banh mi crunchwrap and wasn't disappointed. One of those "wish I could order literally everything on the menu" places. We ordered online to pick it up on our way to a show and it was ready when they said it would be. Packed securely. Service was sweet. Giant bummer that I live hours away from this place, I'd go all the time.

MikChan’s is absolute fire! The banh mi, Mexican pizza, breakfast sandwiches all delicious. Update: they just added a Banh Mi CRUNCHWRAP! Probably one of the top sandwich-things I’ve ever eaten. Go get one!!

Wow talk about alittle gem. You can tell that they care about the food they are producing. Small unassuming little cafe with big flavor and bigger ideas! Really happy I found this place can’t wait to see what new things pop up.

Why wouldn’t you go? I thought JenChans was as good as it got. But to eat at MikChans made me wonder what’s better. Amazing food in a little shop area. Must go. And be prepared to go back. Hint - if you like sweet potatoes you’ll be amazed at one of their dishes. I’m going back just for that!

Bro what? The chicken/duck noodle soup tastes like it was made in a fancy New York ramen kitchen. I gasped when I opened the lid... the smell is intoxicating. The burger was delicately flavored and the bun was like a cross between a potato roll and bao. The radish wraps we got to top it off offered fresh reprieve from the heavier (but sultry) items. God bless the Chans!

Google
Just tacos and Vietnamese taco were everything 🔥 🔥. Great customer service, amazing food quality, efficient preparation. I had to go back 2x in one day. Felt like I was in California again

Google
Food is good service is just SLOW! not enough man power to keep up with both online and in person orders. I paid for an order placed 30 min ahead of time and walked out due to waiting for my order to be made.

Great hole in the wall restaurant with unique flavors — highly recommend the vegan mushroom bao and the sweet potato tostada! 🔥🔥🔥

Yelp
This place was ok. I was just in the neighborhood and decided to stop by. Just wanted to try a little something so I decided to try the Mexican pizza. I thought it would be a little different then this. It was a little hard to eat but didn't taste to bad.

Yelp
Hey you....Look me right in my face because you need to hear me. If you live anywhere around East Atlanta, you need to take yourself straight to a brand bew addition to the n'hood: MikChan's. Located in the Global Grub Collective, (We Suki Suki for the EAV locals) this new little gem has sammiches so good, you'd literally duel your own damn family over one. The Mongolian Dip, with its massive mound-o-meat w/ sweet and spicy marinade, melty cheese and savory jus (for dipping, yo) will just make your day better - and that's a promise. Now let's discuss their Cuban and Cubans in general. For the past 10 years it's been my job to work with restaurants. I've had all the Cubans the A can sling at me, and I'd put their Cuban up against my favorites any day. The overnight marinated Boston butt with ham and provolone cheese is offset perfectly with their bright and spicy homemade Chinese mustard, and house made pickles. Are you picking up what I'm putting down, yet? Because there's no Sysco up in there, baby! Lastly, if you're vegan, vegetarian, or gluten free, they have you smothered and covered in every way possible. Even as a proud carnivore, I'd eat that Mushroom Melt at least once a week. The mushrooms are a garlicky, umami bomb that's topped with tons of cheese and pressed in the same TGM bread. Other must haves are the tacos and Mexican Pizza. Yeah, like THAT Mexican pizza. You know the one. The one you use to skip lunch period to go have... it's like that, just better, more sophisticated, and all grown-up - just like you! Lastly...Mexican Coke slushies and homemade pop tarts. I don't think much more needs to be said. Happy eating!

Yelp
I'm not always on top of what's going on at the We Suki Suki space but I knew Q had been planning to close it. In denial, I recently navigated to wesukisuki.com to see what was up and was only a little surprised that it redirected me to Mikchan's. I'd heard of JenChan's prepared meals so I was sufficiently intrigued. I tried to order the Mik-fil-A, a play on a certain chicken sandwich, which has a vegan version. Yay! Alas, between the time I put it in my cart, let my friends order, and then went to check out - the vegetarian and vegan versions were no longer available. I chose the tacos, one mushroom & tofu and the other Impossible pork. They were both SO good! Tons of flavor and the toppings complemented the proteins perfectly. Only complaint was they're pretty messy but that is not a real complaint. More like a heads up to grab extra napkins! Although the tacos were amazing and I didn't feel like I'd settled at all, the Mik-fil-A eluded me. So I went back yesterday to get my hands on it. Totally worth it! According to their menu, they use Beyond chicken. Granted it's been a while since I had that certain chicken sandwich but this vegan version totally scratched my itch for it. I'm very happy to have MikChan's in my neighborhood. Looking forward to trying all of their vegan options!

Yelp
Went to Mikchans for the first time with my partner! We had the Bulgogi Burger, Mongolian Dip and a C-Town Cauliflower Taco. The bulgogi burger was one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. The Mongolian dip was similar to the Mongolian cheesesteak that is a staple at JenChans, but panini style, delicious! Great Service! Excellent food! Will be back to try everything else on the menu!

Yelp
Good takeout spot. I've had the cuban and the fried chicken "mik-fil-a" sandwich and both were very tasty. Seems like they use high quality sandwich. I'll be back for those but I also want to try the bahn mi and the mongolian beef.

Yelp
From Carroll st. to EAV, they've done it again with MikChan's simple yet creative menu, daring you to expand your ideas of what fusion food really is. Their new Cuban sandwich combines the beloved Caribbean classic with subtle hints of Eastern essence. I find myself driven enough to hop on the highway all the way in Lawrenceville just for the excellently reinvented Pop-tarts. I can't wait to see what else is in store for this delightful pop-up.

Yelp
In the heart of East Atlanta Village lies the best family owned restaurant! The food is definitely worth waiting in line for. Me and my girlfriend came out and stumbled upon MikChan's. We ordered the Bulgogi Burger and Loaded Fritos. The bulgogi burger had this insane juiciness and explosion of new flavors and we will definitely be coming back soon for it. The Loaded Fritos were the perfect salty, crunchy side order for our burgers. The sweetness of the family that owns the Chan restaurants only makes the food taste better!

Yelp
First off, don't wast your money. I ordered the classic and received the pork sandwich. I shouldn't have to double check to see what I ordered. That would require me to unwrap it and open it. I should be able to trust that you would give me the correct order. The classic should just have pate, deli cuts and veggies. The carrots and daikon are suppose to be pickled and they're not. Taste like they just chopped up the veggies and threw it in there. Such a waste of time and money. The sandwich barely had any meat in it. Basically eating a bland veggie sandwich. Straight trash! A business who just wants your money and don't seem to care about quality.

Yelp
The Cuban is to die for. Reminds me of my childhood summers in Miami. The mustard's gotta nice kick to it. All I need are some croquetas and a cafecito. Now the pop tarts thoooo!! Ask them to warm'em up. They're like a sexy shortbread . Mikchan's Is Legit. Delicioso!!

Yelp
The food will be delicious and I was really excited to find this. I am from out of town and this looked amazing. Unfortunately, no where on the menu does it say you will have to "thaw and bake the pot pie". Which can take two hours. Bummed to not be able to serve to family tonight.

Michelle C.

Yelp
David was absolutely wonderful. He was charming, accommodating and efficient. He got my food out to me quickly and it was delicious. 10/10 delicious. Don't sleep on this place.
