Man oh man where to begin! First off R.I.P to Mike, mikes donuts is probably the best genuine coffee/donuts shop in all of NYC! The donuts here are always fresh and taste amazing! Never have I ever came here and hated the delicious bagels or their freshly made donuts and fresh brewed coffee. I used to come here more often since I used to work and go to school in the area but that was back in 2020. Came here today and it’s still just as banging!

Great spot! Dropped by after running errands. Just got a coffee and a donut but also, having come in on crutches, the guy was nice enough to place everything on the counter for me. Solid cup of coffee and tasty donut. Will definitely come back.

Very rude! I called more than six times requesting a call back from the owner. I ordered two boxes of donuts to give as a gift. I spent over $50….Donuts were harder than rocks! Do not order after 4:30….you will be throwing your money in the garbage. It’s not the money aspect…. It’s very very poor business to ignore a customer’s experience.

I arrived as a doordasher to the rudest middle aged woman idk if she was having a bad day but I will never buy from her myself I walked in the fire thing ahe askes is if I can hold a dozen donut box straight mind you I’m a body builder so it was just to question my ability at my job with I’m a platinum member for having such good stats. So I ignored it and waited for them to finish the food next the old women drop the bag before handing it to me and they look at me look it my fault. Then I go on to review the order and realize the whole bag that the old woman dropped wasn’t part of my order as a honest person I walked back in to tell her to be told that they got the order right and that I need to leave and make my delivery now as if there my boss. I’m happy you did it though because the woman I delivered to was such a sweetheart and apologized for them and there actions and deserves that extra food…. Very unsatisfactory

What initially appears to be a hole in a way expands into a nice, quaint establishment. Though donuts are right when you walk in, it seems that this is just one of the many layers that this place inhabits. I would love to go back and enjoy the diner vibe that it presents. Also, the donuts are standard, but quite delicious. Atmosphere in there is on point. I recommend their crullers.

My son and his girlfriend picked up a dozen for us to share. The donuts were fresh, and delicious. I wanted to try them all so I had half of a coconut, half of a jelly filled Pom Pom, half of a cream filled Pom Pom and half of a sugar coated jelly. Eating half a donut is probably poor etiquette. ‍ Every bite was terrific! I'm not sure everyone else got their fair share though. lol

A cozy little donut shop offering incredibly tasty treats! Their fresh donuts are delightfully soft, with the powdered crème and glazed jelly being my top picks. The apple crumb is also a must-try. Keep in mind, there's no seating available, so it's strictly grab-and-go.

This croissant was everything I wantedb flaky, buttery, and baked just right. The layers were crisp but not too dry, and every bite had that perfect airy texture. It had a nice, subtle sweetness that made it great on its own or with jam. The bakery smelled amazing when I walked in, and the staff was really friendly. I'll definitely be back to try more pastries.

Donuts are always fresh! If you buy a dozen you get one free. It's $18.50 for a dozen which is a pretty good deal. They don't have all of the fancy donuts that you'd get from other donut shops but if you're looking for your basic glazed, Boston crème, strawberry glazed, chocolate glazed, etc then this is your go to in South Brooklyn.

Second time around with Mike's Donuts and this time, we did a few things differently: My husband picked up a dozen on the morning of Christmas Eve for our kids and he came back with the BEST donuts! The key is to go in the morning to get the softest, freshest selections. I am not a fan of Fruity Pebbles on desserts whatsoever but the frosting and cereal topped donuts ended up being my absolute favorite. We opened the box after my husband came home and the donuts looked like they had just been glazed. The cruellers were also amazing. By noon, all the donuts were already gone and my kids already are asking for more.

Best doughnuts in Brooklyn. Always super fresh and delicious . Jelly, glazed , bow ties etc.. u just can't go wrong. Hard to buy less than a dozen when I go ! Yummy

This is my go to place for donuts. This family owned and operated business is amazing. They always have a nice variety of donuts and even offer seasonal donuts. The donuts are always fresh. They even offer donut holes, muffins, bagels, rolls, and other items. Today I went in to order a dozen for Halloween. The place is always clean and it use to be set up with table and chairs, but not anymore since Covid. They have plenty of staff so ordering is quick and easy. They offer Grub Hub and Door Dash if you don't want to take the trip to 5th Avenue. The coffee is always fresh and I particularly like the iced coffee. The price is right compared to other donut shops all over Brooklyn. As soon as I walked in work with the box of donuts everyone dug in. Everyone was raving about how fresh they are. Check out this place and forget about the other donut shops in the area.

Great donuts, but not worth the $17.50 they now charge. Also, they absolutely refuse to discount when buying many dozen for block parties or charity events for the customers that have kept them in business all these years. I've eaten the last of my donuts from Mike's.

I was having a bbq for Labor Day weekend and in Brooklyn so stopped by since I heard so much about this place. Very nice people running the place but nothing special that others see. The donuts while fresh weren't anything spectacular. The jelly donut I ate took me halfway through to get to the jelly. And not cheap at all as they are small and $17.50 a dozen. If you want to compare to Dunkin yes they are def better but no wow aspect for me.

This is an absolute neighborhood gem. These donuts are baked fresh everyday. Every bite of these delicious donuts is an absolute treat. Like flying business class on a long haul flight. Everything about it is just right.

It's hard to find a good French curler these days since it not popular. I'm also a chocolate fan so when I saw they had a chocolate French curler you know it was a must have. Can I just say - no regrets not even one letter! It was so good I even ate the vanilla one they had too. My cousins and I went there and bought one of every doughnut they had. We were making a doughnut tier for my brothers bday and it was a hit. Everyone loved it! Definitely a place worth stopping by if you're in the area.

I ordered these donuts in honor of Nurses Week for my nurses at work. These donuts were delicious and well prepared. The customer service is very good and friendly. The establishment is quiet and inviting. Whenever I want tasty donuts I know where to go. I will tell everyone I know about Mike's Donuts. Very delicious!!

Best donuts in bay ridge and might I say even Brooklyn! Make sure you get here early before the best flavors are gone!

Best donuts I've tried so far!! I bought a bunch for a school party and the parents asked me where the donuts were from. I ordered in the morning and they didn't take too long to prepare it for me. Great costumer service.

I love the bagels here. Hands down my favorite bagel in New York City. My go to order ? Everything bagel toasted with cream cheese. The bagels are a bit smaller and less dense than your average NYC bagel but honestly it just hits the spot. This last time even got an eclair and it did not disappoint.

Omg. I dont know why, but in November, I somehow, I decided cake donuts were going to be my end of 2023 cheat good items. I'm still eating then in February 2024. Nonetheless, they make top-notch donuts and crullers that I cannot resist. The coffee is consistently good as well. But they are the best donuts n bay ridge/bensonhurst.

Love these old style mom and pop joints. Donuts are the best and well above what you'll find at the big chain ( Dunkin ). The bottom line is that they are simple and delicious. The place is an old school coffee counter with cheap delicious donuts and friendly service. Staff knows the regulars. The locals know this is the spot to get terrific treats to bring home on a weekend, or to grab a donut and coffee during the weekdays. I could not believe the great prices. Did I go back in time? The apple filled, jelly, coconut, Bavarian cream, and pretty much every donut I got was enjoyable. Get in my belly! Family owned and operated since 1976. If you live in the area why would you go anywhere else? Get a box of donuts and enjoy!

Mikes donuts is a neighborhood staple old school donut shop located in bayridge Brooklyn serving up some delicious donuts since 1976!! Definitely one if my go to spots if I'm craving a donut.

I'll never order a doughnut from this place again! The brother told me one day, we can do anything, just give me a day in advance. I asked for green frosting because my son's class was having grinch day at his school. The lady tells me you're always asking for special things , we don't do that. Honestly they pretend to be nice but behind the scenes nobody in that place is happy. Especially the husband always has a face on and talks to customers like trash.

I imagine we got here a little later in the day, but I enjoy the classic mom and pop shop of it. There wasn't too much left, but what we got was also disappointing. We tried the glaze, cream filled (which the guy made for us), jelly and got items like the apple turnover. Everything was just kind of fine and nothing special or particularly tasty or appetizing. We really wanted to like this place and would potentially try this place again, but may be not worth making another trip there just for this.

Absolutley phenomenal, best home made doughnuts bagels, pastries. Real mom and pop shop, super fresh great prices nice guys. Always fresh never an issue. I noticed some other moron posted a review about a donut with mold, everything is fresh no preservatives if you don't eat it after 2 days and leave it around at home it will go bad, fresh bread too, preservatives are bad for you. Get it fresh eat it the same day. Plus they open early

How can you beat this donut price? $10.75 for a dozen + 1, or $1 per a donut. This shames other chain donut place that sells it for more than a buck. They even have mini donuts aka munchkins 10 for $1. Get the Apple crumb donut, it's one of my favorites. The other donut texture reminds me of a cake batter. Overall, this place has prices and quality that's hard to beat!

I haven't been here in over 20 years but let me tell you, their donuts are still just as amazing as I remembered! I ordered a dozen donuts for my family and I to share. From glazed to vanilla to Boston creme, we tried them all and they were DELISH! They were fluffy and light which sounds odd because donuts are the last thing that should be described as light. The dough just melts in your mouth. For a little over $10 for 13 (you get one free if you buy a dozen), this place is a must try! Keep in mind they are cash only. Parking wasn't too bad on a weekday morning!

You know how every time you go into Target for one thing and then you come out with a floor mat, a lamp, a car, two kids, and a juggling clown? Yeah, that's how I feel when I'm at Mike's donut. Came for a glazed donut and came out with a dozen of miscellaneous fried dough. Nothing beats an old fashion simple glazed donut. Unless, it's pink and there's fruity pebbles on it?? Anyway, it was really good and soft. The glaze is just right and not overly sweet. Grab a cup of coffee while you're here to wash the happiness down a bit.

Finding Mike's donuts on Yelp was a great surprise. Small donut shop, with the smell of fresh brewed coffee and recently baked pastries filled the air- even under my mask! Take out only, no seating available indoors. Lots of donuts to choose from, glazed, powdered sugar, jelly filled, fruit filled, chocolate dipped with sprinkles etc... I was having a hard time picking one donut, so I got two! Coconut donut was perfect with my coffee and the chocolate glazed I saved for later. Great prices and cash only! Parking was very easy at 9:00 AM, I'm sure it would be more challenging if it was later in the day.

Stopped here for the first time because I was in the area. The 14 donut didn't last long once the box was open. The donuts were fresh and all of the flavors were great. People at the counter were pleasant as well.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I've been dying to give this place a try and finally had the time to order delivery. I took a few bites out of one of the donuts and upon closer inspection I saw each and every one had a mold spot on it. I wasn't even going to post this but when I called the restaurant to kindly inform them for THEIR SAKE, the man who answered the phone was incredibly rude and told me to bring the donuts to him so he can prove me wrong. I know what mold looks like. Unbelievable quality control and customer service.

Mike coffee and bagels are the best!!! When I'm in the neighborhood I'll always pass by and grab coffee and bagels and some donuts. His prices are reasonable. He only accepts cash. But it's okay. I'll pay the 2$ Atm fee for your coffee

Low quality and mold on product. Got today 10 mini donuts for my son and they have been all with mold. Variety and most prices on donuts are OK, turnovers are overpriced there, those are cheap turnovers that even on Manhattan costs 1.5-1.75$ and are sold here for $2,50 . Don't recommend.

The service was polite and attentive. I got a Boston cream and a jelly donut with a small coffee. The coffee was great, but the Boston cream was missing quite a bit of cream on the inside. Same for the jelly.

A mom & pop donut shop, you can tell it's a family owned business and they are welcoming! They are quick and efficient.. The iced coffee from here is my favorite, and the donuts are the best.. I ordered some for my sons birthday and loved how cute they came out! The price point is even better! Super affordable, I'm now doing donut cakes for birthdays .. haha!

It was the Sunday before memorial day I called the store to check with them to make sure they were open he said he was closing the store in a half hour I told him I was going to grab Uber and be there right away I paid nine dollars for my Uber and got there like 7 minutes later GuessWhat the store is closed so if you want a higher star rating you better please reimburse me for this I paid extra money so I can bring my nephews delicious donuts and this is what I get.

if you're concerned for your health, I would not go here. I stopped by on the recommendation by a friend but was super concerned that the person serving the donuts was not wearing a mask correctly, and there was also a customer inside without a mask on. I did purchase donuts against my better judgement, but they didn't even get my order right. I had asked for crullers and they gave me old fashioned donuts. Probably wouldn't be back even if they were practicing safe service.

I haven't felt like writing a review in a long time but I have never been so excited than I am today! Mike's donuts in bay ridge has joined Uber eats! *Squeals* These are by far my favorite donuts ever. The shop people are always so nice, and often remember you. Today even tho they were out of what I ordered they called up and asked what I wanted instead, and threw in some extras! I swear I only ordered 6 donuts but I WILL eat them all (3 tiers in this box my friends)! If possible you should try to pickup of course, however they don't have an in house driver so Uber eats will deliver and while I don't condone their profit schemes I do appreciate that small shops can bring me their food this way. Order early they sell out fast! You don't wanna bake this HOT holiday weekend, let Mike's donuts do it for you!

Just realized how many typos my last review had.. anyways, if you're contemplating on coming here or the Dunkin' across the street, this is definitely the better option. Prices are still cheap and very affordable. You buy a dozen donuts you get one free. After 12 you can get 3 donuts for $2.00. Their donuts taste fresh, their muffins are also good. Solid iced coffee, no complaints.

Delicious original and unique donuts. Located in Bay Ridge Brooklyn, I Will certainly visit again and suggest the fruity pebbles donut (especially for the little ones!)

This cozy coffee shop in Bay Ridge has been here for decades and they serve up wonderful homemade donuts and fresh coffee along with a whole lot of other assorted items. Most of my visits are for "to go" stuff since I am down there to visit the Galaxy Comics store and so far I've only had some donuts and coffee. The place has a true neighborhood vibe that appeals to me and the staff behind the counter are friendly and quick to serve you. There are about a half dozen tables to sit down with friends if you like but I always prefer the counter since it lets you be a part of the busy pace that is happening right in front of you. That's all I have to say but its worth a visit. There aren't too many shops like this one left in NYC. Be sure to support them, and then go to the comic book store across the street on our recommendation.

My friend was craving donuts and this was one of the few bakeries that sold donuts. After seeing the good reviews we decided to give this place a try. There's a deal where if you come after noon, you can get 3 donuts for $2. The prices for this place are really cheap considering dunkin' donuts charges more than a dollar for one donut. We ended up ordering the Apple Crumb, Vanilla Sprinkle, and Boston Cream. The selection was extremely limited by the time we went (I think around 4pm on a Saturday). Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about this place but nothing good to say either. The donuts gave off the same satisfaction as a donut from Dunkin Donut. I feel like my experience might've been different if I tried a specialty donut. If i'm ever in the area I would not mind coming here again to try their other flavors.

On our last day in NY, we stopped here and got donuts and bagels for breakfast. The donuts were amazing - so much better than the dunkin across the street, and (per the owners) baked on premises twice a day. Everyone we were traveling with raved about them - I wish we'd come here earlier. The owners were also super nice to my kids - giving them smiles as they got excited about ordering donuts and also giving them mini donuts on the house on the way out the door. The bagels are also pretty good - way better than anything I've had in Michigan. The condiments available are a bit limited, but that's the only real knock against them. The interior is fantastic - unlike most of the places we went they had a ton of seating, and even had old school bar stools at the counter. I'm super jealous we don't have anything this awesome where I live - I hope to visit again in the future.

OLD SCHOOL doughnut shop with freshly baked on premises doughnuts. They are not expensive at all and have specials when you buy half or a dozen. They have all different types of doughnuts but you can also get muffins and other pastry type of stuff. Great to see places like this instead of your usual chain places serving up processed foods.

An absolute gem in the neighborhood!! My husband always has to talk me out of getting a dozen for just the two of us... so I always opt for half a dozen! A pretty good compromise. Prices are extremely reasonable! I've pretty much tried all of their donuts at this point, including their seasonable ones. My personal favorites: apple crunch, blueberry, and pumpkin. Their donuts are always fresh and definitely satisfies the sweet tooth. Perfectly doughy!
