Mike's Meat Market

The owner needs to adjust his attitude. He knows very well that small turkey wings are in HIGH DEMAND and the majority of the surrounding meat markets do not carry them. He's under the assumption that he's distinct. That's what another owner thought from Linden Blvd. & 201st St. and the community stop using him. He lost his best assistant. When I did go, I would wait for the other guy. Now, I go outside the area and some Key Foods carry the little turkey wings.

This meat market is a scam, and very expensive. The owner post sticky notes stating you must spend an additional $20 in the store if you want to purchase small turkey wings. (see pic below). This is ridiculous.

First off, I really like to give five stars to the places that I visit. But I just started going there regularly, and I need to see how things go. The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable about meat. The store is clean and orderly, and well stocked. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have the cut of roast that I wanted, so I took a better cut at a higher price, of course. But all said I am very pleased. I truly hope that all of you that read this try Mike's Butcher shop, you will have a friendly and good experience. Guten Appetit.

Local meat market. Always comes through with the fresh meat. Turkey wings, bacon, sausages, chicken. Great variety and they make great sandwiches as well.

Visited here today. The guy Mike began to serve me. I was getting turkey wings, from what I could see their were a mixture of large & small wings. I needed the small ones. I asked Mike to kindly give me the smaller pieces he was so inpatient would not go through the pieces. I clearly can't see what's at the bottom only what's on top. I told him I'll wait for the next guy he could take the next customer. He proceeded to throw back the wings I had previously chosen. How rude and poor customer service. Don't go here.

My family has been going there since 1967. Mike's has always been a great place for meat. I remember as a child the great service and friendly staff. The neighborhood has changed but the service has remained the same.

So this meat mart carries variety however the owner can be real rude and there are times when u go in and he gets annoyed when u spend time selecting what you want... as a paying customer U should be able to select what part of any meat you want without feeling like you are begging...this is something that did not just happen once...because of this...I’ll be finding another meat mart...Customer service is everything to me....

They very nice people to shop with I have been going here for 5 years plus never had any problems keep up the good work guys.

Been going to Mike's Meat Market since 2003. Meats are always fresh, the place is clean also. The staff is always very nice and helpful. I've gotten great recipes from Mike before! I will be returning again and highly recommend!

I ended up here after going to another meat mart a couple blocks away which had absolutely no meat; three days before Christmas... What that hell!! Anyway I saw this place online and decided to call first to make sure I don't suffer the same faith by going to a meatless meat market. When i called they said they had all the meat I wanted so I journeyed around four block on foot. When I got there all the meats was chopped up and prebagged ready to go. The down side is that they are a little bit pricier than the other meat market and I felt they cheated me a bit by not trimming some of the fat off the meat before they weighed it. I asked the guy to trim it first before weighing and he said he couldn't trim anymore off because he had already trimmed it and the meat is naturally fatty bla bla bla... but after it was weighed he said "OK I'm gonna trim it up for you"... I was like wtf are u kidding me? Overall the service was fast, they had everything I needed, even got a free calendar... ha. I would definitely go back again, just gotta keep ur eyes on them.

It is real difficult to find a meat market that sells baby turkey wings. Mike has them, and has great quality as well. Compare to the other places that sell them, there is no comparison. Farmbria has beat up bruised and Frozen turkey wings. Mike's has prices that are comprable to other places for the same kind of meat. Next up I will try his ribs.

I like going here for my meats. Price is reasonable & I can order a full brisket and get it in a few days. Full slabs of beef ribs.. chicken by the piece or pound. Fresh cut to order Ribeye steaks.. Local & friendly
