Boston’s 12 Most Iconic Dishes | Eater Boston

"The subject of one of Boston’s fiercest food debates is cannoli. In the eyes of locals, Mike’s Pastry may or may not win out all the time — you’ll get a different answer from every person you ask — but it’s been a destination for tourists and Bostonians for decades, and there’s something about that tied-up white box that always triggers a cannoli craving." - Erika Adams

The Best Tourist Trap Restaurants Worth Visiting in Boston | Eater Boston

"It’s tough to go wrong with a pastry or cannoli from Mike’s. But you really should get the cannoli and a lobster tail (for the unfamiliar, a pastry that resembles the crustacean, filled with a cream and fresh ricotta cheese), whether you’re visiting for the weekend or just walking across town for a sweet treat." - Tanya Edwards

Where Chefs Go: Hingham, Massachusetts

"For pastries in the area, Bleidorn loves Mike’s Pastry, located not far from Hingham in Boston’s historic North End and founded by Michael Mercogliano in 1946. 'It's a must-stop for his famous cannoli,' says Bleidorn. 'Even today, I always stop by Mike's on my way to the airport.'" - Marguerite Imbert

The mousse cake was fantastic. Couldn’t decide on a cannoli flavor to try. Cake was worth the stop. Other items looked great as well. In a food court with other restaurant/shops.

So happy to see Mike's Pastry's in the train station. There was no line on a Saturday afternoon. We picked up a piece of tiramisu, which was delicious. They had many delicious options to choose from even though this is a much smaller location. We will definitely be back next time we take the train.

I’ve lived in Boston most of my life but never actually been to Mike’s Pastry. I was in the Hub getting something else and decided to get a whoopie pie for my dad and got myself a cookie. Probably one of the worst cookies I’ve ever had. Two stars is only for the M&M’s otherwise it would be a zero. The cookie isn’t a cookie, it’s like a dried out cake of some sort. Not even the M&Ms could save it. Hoping the whoopie pie is better. Paid a lot of money and very disappointed!

Cannolis were bigger than expected and cost $7 to $9 depending on which to get. We got a coated chocolate and a coated chocolate. Service was quick and you get your snack within two minutes.

This is the chain where you get your cannoli. They have tons of flavors and a long long, so you have plenty of time to mull your decision over so you can order quickly when you get to the front - though they don't rush you at all. There are tons of other items here as well, you may never try them all. Oh, and they're cash only. And no restroom. And no tables or chairs. Just a big crowd.

Spotted it on the way out of North Station. Always hear about them being crazy with lines and a huge thing in Boston, so seized the opportunity to try some canollis! My son got the pumpkin spice, and I got a lemon! So good and so much filling ! There are no lines this morning at 9 am on a Wednesday !
