Wow, amazing all you can eat Wagyu+Seafood Shabu Shabu! Go when you have a healthy appetite and enjoy! We had the silver package and it was great. The meats were tender and delicious. The seafood and vegetables were very good, too. We had the house and tomatoes soup base, both were excellent. Tip: The complementary Wagyu curry (available next to the rice) was amazing, I can have this over rice any day! The service was courteous, helpful, and prompt. Initial and subsequent ordering were done via tablets and the orders were frequently delivered almost immediately.

As someone who reviews restaurants regularly, I always hope to discover memorable dining experiences—especially at hot pot establishments. Unfortunately, my visit to this restaurant was far from pleasant. During my meal( I have waited 3hours to get in), the fire alarm went off continuously for at least 15 minutes. The volume was extremely loud—far beyond what any diner should be expected to tolerate. It wasn’t background noise; it was a piercing, high-pitched alarm that made it almost impossible to enjoy the food or even hold a conversation. The entire dining atmosphere was completely disrupted. What disappointed me even more was that after the incident, I reached out to the restaurant’s official customer service—and received no response. For a place that sets its prices at a premium level, this lack of follow-up is simply unacceptable. Speaking of price, the restaurant charges quite a lot, yet the ingredients are fairly average. Some items even come with restrictions or limits. For the cost, I expected higher-quality ingredients and a more refined overall experience, but the value just wasn’t there. If you’re planning to spend this level of money on hot pot, I would personally recommend Chubby Cattle instead（I know they are same chain. Their ingredients, service, and overall dining environment are significantly better and offer a much more satisfying experience.

I decided to bring my mother to Mikiya for thanksgiving, her first time trying it. She loved it. We did the diamond package. My mom said the abalone was so good and fresh! The sweet shrimp was delicious. Unlimited we definitely got our moneys worth. Highly recommend I’m a big foodie. Daniel woods customer service was top notch was on it.

The sukiyaki and shabu were both incredible. Perfectly seasoned, rich in flavor, and so fresh. You can really taste the quality in every bite. A special shoutout to Amy, our waitress, who made the experience even better! She was so friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. Always checking in at the right moments and making sure we had everything we needed. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We came on a Friday night last week, there was no wait list and 3 of us were seated right away. We chose the silver package which offers plenty choices of meat and seafood. With the higher packages you get higher grades meat at higher price. Besides the AYCE veggies and meat, you also get unlimited wagyu curry and minced wagyu rice as well as other side dishes. The quality of the food is excellent. There's definitely plenty of food to eat, so starve before dining. There's 2 hour time limit, so use your time wisely. We took a friend from out of town to catch up, we felt hurried as our waiter tried to nudge us to pick up our pace. The fan above the hotpot at our booth was not working well and the steam was blowing to my face the entire time.

I had a wonderful lunch experience! Every serving of beef and wagyu was incredibly fresh. The service was patient, attentive, and fast such a great team! It was an excellent lunchtime overall. I’ll definitely keep bringing my family here and recommend this place to my friends.

I was blown away by how friendly and helpful the staff were—everyone had such a good vibe. On top of the great atmosphere, the service was lightning fast. I was also really impressed by the excellent meat selection; the quality and variety are top-notch. It’s rare to find a place that hits the trifecta of great service, speed, and high-quality food. Highly recommend!

The quality of Wagyu beef is excellent even from a Japanese point of view. The only thing I regretted was the temperature control of the soup. People who are familiar with shabu-shabu in Japan will never boil the soup. Because the best temperature for cooking thinly sliced Wagyu beef is around 80℃. I adjusted the temperature of the soup myself, but the clerk might have thought the temperature was too low, so he raised the heat many times. I don't need it. But overall, it was a great meal.

Wow! Tens 20's 30's ACROSS THE BOARD! First ask for Christy to receive an exceptional introduction. It was our first time and she graciously and sophisticatedly gave us the run down of the menu. Thé display of the Bone Marrow was stunning. Thé Foie de gras was recommended for its exoticness and culinary high grade. All the food came out immediately and the atmosphere was so clean welcoming and calming. I still can't believe how first class thé whole experience turned out to be. Mikiya I am so impressed!

Great food, but long wait time. Need to reserve about an hour before or even longer. The membership is totally worth it: as long as you eat here twice or thrice in a year.

Party of 6 (1yr old included.) Ordered the GOLD option. What an amazing experience! There really is nothing like Japanese A5 Wagyu! Service was amazing! Will write a more detailed review soon as I wake from my food coma... UPDATE: So... it's been about 4 days post food coma, and here we are. (Waheheh...) The whole evening was planned: let's go to Imaginarium 360 at Lakewood Center, then grub somewhere. I sent a few links to my niece and left it up to her to decide where to grub. This (obviously) won out. (She did say the deciding factor was that she's craving shabu-shabu since it's been a long minute since she's had it last. Plus it was a cold SoCal night... perfect!) And that's exactly how I would describe the experience: PERFECT! We made reservations for 815pm, but got done at that Lakewood Center exhibit a whole hour early. I called to ask if there was a chance we could come in earlier. I was told they "might" be able to accommodate me at around 745pm, so yeah... they were busy! We came through anyway and were willing to wait. Already a crowd of 15-20+ people outside. The Yelp waitlist went all the way to #8. At around 745p, we were told the guests for our table were getting ready to pay and soon as they clean up, we good to go. Long story short, we were seated around 8pm. And was it worth the wait: absolutely. We all got the chance to look at the menu, and we all collectively agreed to get the Silver option. We felt the gold and diamond would have been way too much food... ... but my generous GodMother/Auntie called an audible and decided to go for gold! (It was her treat, so who are we to argue!) The thin meats were plenty (and Japanese A5 wagyu really is out of this world) and although they were cooked in our choice of broth (you can have up to 2, choosing from: sukiyaki, spicy miso, Japanese tomato or their house broth) the main essence of the meats still come out. And don't get me wrong: on the contrary to what some may say, they all do not taste the same. But they are all delicious. What made it even more special are the side dishes and the seafood that went with it. It was almost overwhelming, but we all welcomed it just the same. It does get crowded at their sauce station (I felt it was kinda oddly placed with such little room) where you can also get rice, ice cream and meat sauce. FOOD: 5. SERVICE: 5. Sophia, from beginning to end, was fantastic. So with the rest of the crew who helped give us an amazing experience. VALUE: Pricey, but worth it. If you want to splurge on shabu-shabu, this is the place to do it. PARKING: Shared with lots and lots of other businesses. It is packed on a Saturday night, so allocate some time. OVERALL: 5. VERY IMPORTANT TIP: Make reservations. The wait is incredibly long (those poor souls who came through as walk-ins) but it's a true testament to how fantastic this place is. Sophia even mentioned the crowd is smaller than usual. (Whoa, I'd hate to see it when it's really crowded!) Now that I'm out of the food coma, I dream of coming back again. Hopefully that's sooner than later.

Finally tried this shabu restaurant and it did not disappoint! We came during their Happy Hour which was a fantastic deal for the quality of meats that we got. For $33 per person, each Premium Wagyu Set included 4 plates of wagyu, and unlimited vegetables, minced wagyu, wagyu curry, beverage, and ice cream. Everything hit the spot! For the wagyu, we chose all the Australian cuts which had the most beautiful marbling and were so tender! There was a good selection of vegetables and they were fresh so we didn't hesitate to get a second serving. Even the minced wagyu and wagyu curry were packed with flavor! We finished off with some fried buns and ice cream and it was a refreshing way to end our meal. Overall, all the food we had was top quality and I would come back again. The ambiance felt clean and upscale - perfect for date night. The service was a bit slow at first, but it got better once more staff showed up.

It's good. Not great. Meat quality is definitely there but the flavors of the broths are not that tasty. In my opinion, the broth matters more than the meat quality sometimes because the meat is so thin that you can't really tell the difference. The restaurant itself is nice and cozy. Felt like the tables were too close together at some points. Service was quick and easy. No issues there. Overall, if you take the price into account, it's average at best. They need to work on their broth flavors. Meat quality can only get you so far.

Food is awesome here. Our first time here the service was impeccable. Love the bone marrow and wagging nigiri. Get all the wagyu and save room for the fried buns. Also the curry is fire. This location is cozy. Not a big shop, so the veggies get brought to you vs being at the buffet table

10.10.25 - first food stop! It was my first time trying this place and it was tasty! My friend has been many times before. They had happy hour at the time and it was such a good deal. Im surprised it wan't packed at this time. We went with the premium menu. It is $33 for non-members or $28 for members. The happy hour meal comes with tea too. Our server was nice and helpful. For our broths, my friend picked sukiyaki and I picked Japanese tomato. I should've went with house broth instead since I always flavor my broth with items from the sauce bar. Tomato was okay. For the meats, I think we chose Australian chuck ribeye, Australian shoulder cut, American chuck ribeye and American shoulder cut. You get 2 trays of each, plus a tray of veggies. Veggies were fresh and meats were high quality. We were also lucky because they had some extra dishes which they gave to us on the house. Those were the foie gras and wagyu tartare appetizers. These were okay but we were full from all the meats. There are so many hot pot places in Cali but I would come back to this place again

Mikiya is a shabu shabu restaurant that serves quality soups, meats, and veggies. Everything was super fresh and the ingredients are of the highest quality. There's a big sauce bar on the side so you can customize your own dipping sauce. They also have curry and minced meat with rice next to it. The curry is pretty good but a little on the saltier side. Pasteurized eggs are also offered at this section so you can dip the meat in the raw eggs if you'd like. All the broths were pretty good. I was really impressed with the seafood platter. It had scallops, crab, fish, oysters, shrimp, etc. The wagyu meats were all tender. My favorite was the brisket! I'm glad I got to experience another great restaurant from the chubby group!

Always one of my favorite places to go. I'm not even the biggest Shabu girl. I'm a Mikiya girl. Seriously, I will deny going to most other shabu places unless there was something important, and yet will ask specifically to go here from cravings. The meat is *good*. The ambiance is full and busy, a bit too much sometimes. The service is quick but not homey. The sauce bar is small. Their prices are a bit more expensive to some. BUT THE FOOD IS SO GOOD, even the ordered hot dishes. Not to mention the customization abilities for the seafood platter. Listen, if you go for anything, go for the wagyu, even Australian !

Food was great, but service was a hit or a miss. A few of the workers would take our requests then never come back, literally disappear, making us wait around only to ask for the same things twice. This was a bit of a turn off especially given there is a time limit for our meal and that this restaurant is supposed to be on the higher end I would expect the level of service would match their price tag. But, Micah was amazing. If I go back, I would like Micah to be our main server. I would have given this review a higher rating had it not been for the 1-2 of the staff who clearly did not want to be there. Also, for an upscale shabu spot, it was off-putting to sit with dirty floors. I had a shrimp tempura tail right under my chair with crumbs all around me, including on my chair.

Mikiya is always an amazing place to celebrate any occasion! Even if you need a little wagyu fix! We ordered their Ribeye and Brisket and fell in love with how incredible the sukiyaki broth enhances the taste of the veggies they have, their udon, tofu, and of course their wagyu! Service is impeccable! Your server will always check on your table if you'd like more rounds, are very attentive on your orders, and will check if you need more broth! Across their entire menu, there is something for anyone and everyone! My favorite part of any Mikiya visit is checking out their AYCE ice cream bar! The ambiance is very fitting for a shabu shabu house with music and the aroma of wagyu fills the restaurant. Very comfy and relaxing energy for all your AYCE needs.

Food: 4/5 +Meat cuts were marbled and tender +tofu pockets were delightful +seafood platter's scallops and shrimp were good -Some cuts hadn't been fully defrosted by the time they arrived at our table -Seafood special's whitefish was very fishy -Water tasted distinctly like powdered lemonade Service: 5/5 generally responsive. Food came quickly. Refilled our drinks promptly. Ambiance: 4/5 general modern Asian design. Sauce bar and dessert station were centrally located. Induction burners worked well.

This was our first visit to Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House, and we knew we had to try it after enjoying Niku X (from the same parent company). We made reservations and were seated right away. Since it was our first time, we let our server know, and Dan walked us through the menu in detail. For a birthday celebration, we decided on the Diamond Set, and it did not disappoint--every cut of meat was outstanding. The bone marrow and sweet shrimp specialties were also delicious standouts. We appreciated that both the seafood and vegetable platters were fully customizable, especially since we needed to avoid scallops due to an allergy. Overall, we loved both the food and the service. A big thank you to Dan for taking such great care of us and making the night extra special. Highly recommend!

Honestly if you would like the best experience, I would highly suggest getting the platinum. Because you can grab more of everything. I hope that they had more of a grill on the wagyu meat instead of wasting it on shabu but overall the seafood was really fresh and the bone marrow is heart attack but we ate like 5 lol the service was great and attentive. For big group you wont sit together bc its 4 seats per table and will be split up w another table next to u. I would also recommend to call to make reservations. Parking is free. Park in the back.

It was my first time here, and wow the food was incredible. I finally get the hype. My server Amber was super patient with me. I was honestly quite confused with what to order, but Amber was really friendly and helpful. She guided me through all the tiers even when it was busy. Definitely coming back again. The meat was so clean and delicious. The way the meats were all placed and folded in the box were picture perfect. The food, service, and even the ambiance is amazing. I love the decor as well. Everything felt so upscale, clean and everybody was so welcoming! Definitely try the fried buns with ice cream! It's amazing! Thanks, Amber and John! You guys were great!

This was our first time to Mikiya and we will definitely be back!! The quality of food is amazing. Dan and Ada provided excellent service. They were extremely attentive and explained the ordering process thoroughly. The ambiance is great, as well! We really enjoyed our meal. 10/10 and will be back!!!

We love Mikiya! The food is always amazing, the service is great (even when they have a packed house and are super busy). I love how personable and eccentric the staff are here. The ambiance feels relaxed for the customers so that we can have conversations. Steve and Daniel are great and made our night!

We got the basic menu, which comes with a decent amount of meat options & split pot with sukiyaki and house broth. The Chuck ribeye and brisket were the best ones from that menu and were super soft and not chewy at all. Shoutout to our server Jessica - she was really nice and attentive the entire time! :)

If you're craving a high-quality shabu shabu experience, Waygu Shabu House Mikiya is the place to be. Tucked inside Landmark Square Plaza, it might not catch your eye at first, but once you're inside, you're in for a serious treat. We were quickly greeted and able to secure a table (without reservations). Not many people seem to crave hot pot on a warmer day right before a holiday weekend. (_^.^_ ) The hostess will ask which level for AYCE -- there's 3 Tiers (Silver, Gold and Diamond) each providing selection of quality and quantity from a special entrees order like bone marrow toast. Service is consistently friendly, fast and attentive. The servers are knowledgeable about the cuts and broths, and they're happy to guide if you do don't know what to order. Like any AYCE, there's a time limit. The star of the show here is, of course, the Wagyu beef--beautifully marbled, melt-in-your-mouth tender, must pay premium and try the A5 Wagyu ribeye, brisket and the seafood platter. AYCE Feast Just Got Next-Level!!!! They offer a great selection of broths (I highly recommend the spicy miso) and the veggie and noodle sets are always super fresh. You order as much as you can eat but pace yourself. There's also a self-serve ice cream (gelato) chest to grab a sweet treat to top off your meal. Totally worth saving room for. TIP::It does get busy during peak hours, so a reservation is a smart idea. Or the very least get on the wait list.

The service is excellent. The meat was extremely rich , they serve high quality cuts here . We got the silver - the bone marrow was delicious & the seafood platter it's served with was a nice compliment. We will be back . Great date night location .

High quality and amazing service. If you love shabu then you have to try Mikiya. We tried all the meats offered on the silver menu but the only one you need to eat is the Rib Eye. For the specialty dish the Bone marrow was a little too fatty for me but I know others really like it. The sweet shrimp sashimi on the other hand was my favorite dish there. Great sauce bar so you can cook up whatever sauce you want. Everything tasted good and the service was top notch! I will say with the time limit, I'm glad we got the silver menu. We wouldn't be able to truly enjoy any of the higher menus to make it worth the money. So if you go, for the most bang for your buck, I would say either the basic menu or the silver one!

ORDER silver tier (3.5/5) i visited for an early father's day celebration and decided to go with the silver tier for the seafood platter. the seafood was a little fishy, but we still enjoyed the variety of seafood offered. you can choose up to 2 broths. we went with spicy miso and sukiyaki which were both flavorful. nothing special about the meat.. SERVICE service is super good. they take their time to explain the menu and give suggestions based on your preferences. AMBIANCE dim lighting inside. plenty of seats.

Was my first time ever trying hot pot! I chose spicy miso and house soup and it did not disappoint! I loved that they had self serve rice, however, because of how much veggies I consumed, I got too full to go back for more rice. The meats were delicious although being the cheapest option. From what I understood, the more you pay, the higher the quality. Whenever I go back, I'm definitely going to try the higher qualities cause I can imagine it being worth it. As for the service, we had so many people help us from the host to the waitress and I think even a BOH member. Im so happy with how informative and patient everyone was. The ambiance is pretty nice, although the tables are almost adjacent to each other, it didn't really feel crowded. The music was pretty fun too!

Came here on a Monday with a reservation via NFT, however it wasn't needed. Your mileage may vary depending on peak times, but I would imagine, like all Chubby Group locations, and South St. Cerritos, this place will get packed at night and on the weekends. Ambiance has the same decor as other Chubby Group spots...dark, modern, clean, with wood/bamboo accents. Can't go wrong with that. Service was superb. Owner/Management don't miss with their picks; and the people who worked Monday were quick, responsive, polite, and had excellent rapport with us and the tables around us. The Bone Marrow special item was delicious, however the foie gras was a little meh for me. I tasted more Blueberry than actual foie gras. Side Items: Shrimp Tempura surprisingly really good. My Godson loved the Gyoza, he at the whole plate himself (He's 2!!). He also really enjoyed the minced beef over rice they always have. Meat and vegetables were great, and the sukiyaki and house broths were very flavorful. Although I love Shabu, and the end result broth/soup was one of the best I've had post-shabu meal, I don't think this is the best way to enjoy A5. If you over cook it, the meat basically becomes regular quality with all the fat rendered, and there is a fine line between perfect and over cooked. That may be a personal thing, so you may feel different. I also had to cook my meat a little longer due to my Godson. Overall, I would come back, however I'm more excited that the one in Irvine is opening soon, and you can bet I'll be there.

Finally tried this place out! Now I need to try their other partner company, Chubby cattle! Different tiers will get you different types of meat and specialty dishes! Basic $45 AYCE American wagyu Silver $55 AYCE Australian/American and selection of 1 specialty dish (Like bone marrow, foie gras, wagyu nigiri, etc) Gold $78 AYCE Japanese (except limited selections for two A5 types), Australian and American, selection of 1 specialty dish. Diamond $98 AYCE EVERYTHING They also have minced wagyu and rice, wagyu curry, and ice cream at a self serve station. Items were hit and miss. HITS - A5 cuts for shabu: The best thing here, super good, definitely a lot softer and tastier than the Australian and American. - Bone marrow: Super soft and buttery - Foie Gras: Was very tasty, but the blueberry on top was not my cup of tea. MISS - Sushi: Sweet shrimp and lobster sashimi pieces were tough, and not too much flavor. - The wagyu Nigiri was also not as buttery soft as I was hopping for. - Wagyu Tartare was really good cold and flavorless. The service was top notch! They were constantly checking in on us to see if we wanted to order. For $100 person I expected all the food to be really good, however we had some misses, but overall I really enjoyed this place! Go ham on the A5!

Second time at Mikiya and just like the first time, the meats and sides were good and consistent. Unlike last time though, this time we opted to skip the seafood and premium side set and we didn't feel like we missed out on much (since we were there really for the beef and veggies). While we were waiting to be seated, we noticed the line of patrons to started to stack up. Luckily we had made a reservation on Yelp and that really helped. Overall, that shabu experience was on par or maybe slightly better than other shabu restaurants we had been to, but what really stood out was the service at the table. Our server, like the server from our first experience, was very friendly and attentive. This level of service really made the experience that much better.

mikiya is one of my favorite restaurants, with a wide selection of menu items for hot pot including wagyu and crown daisy tai ho as well as sides like egg. I personally love how you can order noodles after you are done with meat to soak up to broth.

Been here couple of times and every time, the service is just too notched. Constantly checking on our tables but not to the point where it feels disruptive. Place is always clean but wish there was more space in the self service sauce area. The meat is always such a quality. I always recommend this place to my friends that are in for quality hotpot

From the moment we were seated, Micah made the entire dining experience feel effortless and enjoyable. His service was truly exceptional, attentive without hovering, and always arriving at the perfect moment to check in or offer more. The meal itself was outstanding, easily one of the best and favorite shabu spots I've been to! The sides and sauces were flavorful and well-balanced, and the variety of AYCE pricing levels makes it perfect for any group or appetite. Love this place, I'm probably their most frequent customer. The whole staff is awesome, specifically Michael, everytime i sit down he always has a coke zero and a cup of water ready. The entire staff just knows what I want before i even sit down. It's awesome. I love them all. i wish i was richer so i could tip more. the place has great ambiance.

This place has good Wagyu and 4 kinds of soups. I took the diamond and the foods come out was great. Be back soon.

Amazing shabu place!!! I've been here twice and today was my second time here. I had it for the first time last year with my boyfriend on Valentine's Day and he is not a shabu/hot pot person at all but loves this place. Came here today to celebrate my dad's birthday and my parents and I had a great time. Christy and Daniel were our servers and were super sweet. There is a new tier called basic tier which I believe was not there last year? And costs $38/person without the membership. I could be wrong and maybe it's always been here but I am so glad they have this because you can still get pretty amazing wagyu and don't have to spend $50+/person pre-tax/tip like at most places. The sauces, meat, and ice cream were all so good, and I love how convenient and clean it was to get any sauces/toppings. We got the house and spicy miso broths and I preferred the spicy miso - it wasn't that spicy for me but was for my parents. Next time I will have to get sukiyaki. The interior is rather dark but doesn't hinder any vision and there is a nice atmosphere overall. I would definitely recommend coming here and will come back!

So, finally tried Mikiya. Took a lot of hesitation because it's shabu, I can go to a cheaper one nearby with great selection too. Since it was hubs bday, he wanted to finally have a date night here. Thankfully we came around 5ish on a Friday and thanks to Yelp waitlist, so convenient! Wait was only 5 mins though haha. Anyway it's a little dark inside plenty of tables and a little section that has the minced beef, rice, sauces and ice cream. The menu has basic, silver, gold and diamond. Our waiter, Brandon was awesome! Super attentive and helped us figured out which one to try. We were already going between gold and diamond so he helped us decide on gold. I thought that was perfect since it had a little bit of everything. We loved the seafood tray. We ended up eating the oyster raw haha I mean what foodie would waste a perfect fresh raw oyster in a soup? Even the abalone and scallops! Delicious. The a5 meats were superb! The rest of the meats were just ok. Nothing too spectacular. I would definitely only go here for the gold menu or diamond. The broth is just ok too. Nothing spectacular. I think Brandon got shocked with how much of the meat were eating haha a5 everyday mann!!! I did enjoy the spicy clam and the oyster! Those cold dishes were good too! Would I say this place was out of this world "wow" nahhhh... but it's def good. If I were you, I would come here for gold and diamond sets only. If I'm coming here for basic, I would rather go to a diff shabu spot. If I'm here to review this place too, it would be about the gold or diamond sets. That's where they stand out! Plus their customer service is amazing! I think that's where that extra star came from. That's for you Brandon! Thanks for being so attentive and helpful! You rock!

This Shabu spot is hands-down the best I've ever had. From the cuts of Wagyu meat selection to the Shabu bar to the unlimited sides. The vegetables are fresh and crispy. You can't go wrong with anything you get on the menu. The atmosphere is perfect, clean, very modern with a hint of darkness. I would definitely give this place 5 stars! I recommend this establishment to anyone that loves prime cuts of meat.

Im not the biggest fan of hot pot but this place definitely changed my opinion. We discovered this place after a movie date earlier this month. And this month alone, my partner and I went twice. The first time around we order the silver set and the second time we brought his family and ordered the same set. The silver set is perfect. Quality meat with just enough sides. The broth is what won me over. You have the ability to split broth per pots. I like spicy so I chose the spicy miso while my partner choose his. If you're contemplating, I'd recommend at least trying it once. The price might seem steep but the quality of the food makes it worth it. Lots of parking space, great customer service and dim lighting which feels intimate.

Insanely impressed with this place!! Our waiter (didn't catch his name sadly) was so sweet and patient with us even though we were a large and hectic group lol. Since it was our first time here, he just brought out everything for us to try! We got the diamond set and it was def worth it. We all got the spicy miso and house broth, spicy miso was my favorite! The waiter also gave us a side of the miso paste to add to our broth when it was getting low. All of the side dishes that were included in the diamond set were great. Especially loved the bone marrow and wagyu tartare. We were recommended by staff to put the bone into the broth when we were done for extra flavor, and it was a game changer!! I didn't care much for the foie gras. Meats and seafood were amazing as expected. Our favorites were the abalone and beef shoulder! The veggie platter was pretty meh but who's coming for that anyways :)

Came back everytime, I love this place, got to try the Diamond tier which is very worth it, the service was fast and friendly.

Dinner was great! I came here with 2 gfs and we had the silver Wagyu set. Service was amazing and we loved our experience. It was my first visit here and definitely won't be my last. Ambiance is a little dark but enough lighting for cooking. Plenty of parking. We got there at 4 and the waitlist was less than 5 mins. The whole party needs to be present in order to be seated. Come give this place a try!

The experience here is absolutely first rate and the quality of the ingredients will have you wanting to ask for more. The great thing is is that this place is all you can eat across many of the dishes note that some of the dishes that are offered, may only be limited, depending upon what tier or what level you order. Found the sauce bar also to be a really great addition to the dipping of the meat or the seafood and then also the available appetizers along with the ice cream was a nice touch. This place is lively and also has some of the best customer service with the servers being very helpful, allowing for customers to ask questions on the menu. This place is great for groups and also has some nice sake and beer selection. Parking is readily available in the lot outside of the restaurant which is located in a mini mall location. This place does get very popular so if you do get a chance to eat earlier or reserve on the waitlist , that is highly recommended.

We got seated without reservations at a decent time about 20 minutes. It's all you can eat within a time period. Enough time we didn't need it all. We did the basic set and everything was tasty and so much food. It's a cool vibe inside!!

After discovering Yumiyaki and loving it, I had to check out Mikiya -- especially once I found out it's from the same ownership and my Yumiyaki membership applied here too. I've now been twice, and both times were great. Mikiya feels more spacious than Yumiyaki, which makes for a more relaxed dining experience. The vibe is clean, modern, and a little more laid-back -- still busy, but not as tight. On my second visit, I came with extended family and we were seated in a small private room in the back for a party of 7, which was a really nice surprise. We had made our reservation far in advance and for an early time. While I've only been twice, it seems like it's always packed for dinner so reservations highly recommended if you can get it. As for the food -- no complaints. My first visit, I went all in with the Diamond set. The second time, we went with Silver, and honestly, even Silver was impressive. High-quality meats, great flavors, and sides that actually hold their own. You can tell they don't cut corners. Service was attentive but not overbearing both times. If you're a Yumiyaki fan, Mikiya delivers that same quality with a bit more breathing room. I'll definitely be back.

Quality of everything here including the service, one word: AMAZING! Daniel is exceptionally hospitable who gives a warm welcome. The quality of the meat is top tier that melts in your mouth. The Wagyu curry is also a fav of mine. Self serve ice cream is also a nice little added bonus. Easily my new favorite shabu spot. Ty, Daniel for making our experience even better than I expected.

Service is always on point here. I love that you can book through yelp and the waiters are always attentive. Inside is pretty spacious although the sauce area is a bit of a tight squeeze when there's people waiting for it. Restrooms are located in the back right side so if you get seated on the left of the restaurant, you have to walk all the way around. Food is always good. They have a pretty standard amount of broth choices. The meat is pretty good although if you get the basic option the shoulder is extremely tough so we don't usually order it. This time we went I swear they had less sauces. There was no regular soy or sesame oil. They have a side option of curry and "ground wagyu beef". The curry is pretty good but I would love an explanation on why the "wagyu ground beef" tastes like canned corned beef hash. My husband and daughter don't like corned beef hash and instantly didn't like the ground beef and that explains why.

I had previously left a review for their location in Temple City, but I think this location is arguably better. This time around, we opted for the Silver Tier menu instead of the Diamond, and I feel this was much more worth it. The australian wagyu cuts were delicious, and although not as melt in your mouth as A5 wagyu, it was still just as appetizing. The bone marrow here was bigger and more appetizing than the location by LA. The nigiri was also very good. I would say bone marrow is very fatty so don't order if you don't like it! It was very delicious though. Service was on point as always. Servers are very attentive and kind. Restaurant is also very clean and the lighting gives an immersive feeling, similar to their other locations. Overall, I would recommend this location for those looking for wagyu at a cheaper price! If you're looking for A5 wagyu, I would suggest visiting their sister location, Yumiyaki, as it is the best hotpot I've had by far.

I was excited to try this place after reading reviews. The food was good, but the service was a miss. We came in as a party of four and asked for water. We were given 3 cups & 4 straws. We had to ask for more water an additional 2 times. The table next to us were checked on and when I felt like our waitress was going to come to our table, she didn't.

Really excellent quality and value, especially when you join the membership and can go about once per month to pass break even. Best to ask what might not be available or if anything is not operating properly, as it would affect your choices accordingly. Have had all the sets through Diamond, but find Silver hits the spot very well, unless you're hosting guests for their first Japan Wagyu experience (which is a bit wasteful as shabu-shabu melts all the valuable fat from the Wagyu and leaves it behind in the stock.) Anyway, service is generous and consistent, as they monitor carefully which things are 1 per customer unless charged extra, and there is that strict 90 minute cutoff when the raw ingredients stop arriving. For the size of the place, it's actually fairly noise free during the day, and only moderately noisy at nights. Makes for easy conversation without shouting. Nice range of blend-yourself dipping sauce ingredients and there's curry and soboro beef to fill your kids up. Most of the fried sides are also AYCE, but that's not the point of shabu-shabu. The Waitlist is important to pre-register as the number of tables are limited for 3 or more people. Couples or singles can generally be seated reasonably quickly, but this location does fill up. A great place to meetup and observe your mates food habits! There are a few boba and dessert places nearby if the complimentary ice cream isn't your thing. All good here!

Great hot pot spot! The ingredients were fresh, the broth was flavorful, and everything tasted amazing. The wagyu meet was high quality. Our server Richard provided outstanding service--friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the meal dispute us having young kids who made a mess. He made the experience here worth coming back. Highly recommend, especially if you want great food and great service.
