Chubby Cattle, Presotea Taiwanese tea house coming soon to Novi | Eater Detroit

"Planned for Sakura Novi, Mikiya will bring a Japanese shabu-shabu concept under the Chubby Cattle brand; Chubby Cattle, founded by David Zhao and Haibin Yang, began in Las Vegas in 2016 serving traditional Mongolian-, Tibetan- and Chinese-inspired hot pot on conveyor belts and has since opened other, different-style restaurants in Denver, Philadelphia, and Monterey Park." - Serena Maria Daniels

This spot offers a delightful dining experience with its clean and well-decorated interior. While the AC could use an upgrade, it didn't detract from the overall ambiance. I visited on a weeknight without a reservation and was seated promptly. The meat was definitely the highlight, incredibly tender and melt-in-your-mouth delicious—it was truly worth the trip! My only wish was for more flavorful soup and sauces to complement the dishes. Despite having so many plates at one point that I ran out of table space, everything served was incredibly fresh. Our server, Cynthia, was also attentive and friendly, enhancing our experience.

First time here and everything was amazing. The cleanest hotpot’s this place beats Nabe hotpot. The both, quality of their meats, veggies amazing. Will be coming back. Love this place. The seafood quality too is amazing. This display is clean too. For 3 people we got the silver AYCE $200+ worth every $$

I spotted this restaurant while driving and decided to check it out. At first, I was a little intimidated, but Joanna greeted me as soon as I walked in and made me feel totally at ease—she explained the menu and concept really well. Jacky and Joanna gave the kindest, most attentive service. The food? Incredible. There was so much of it—meat, seafood, veggies—all you can eat! I got the regular and tomato broths, and honestly, the regular one with all the sauces was my favorite. And yes, they even bring you dessert at the end. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

We came to this Japanese shabu-shabu restaurant first time yesterday and it was great! All you can eat high level fresh meat and sea food. All the vegetable we loved. So much food that we couldn’t ask any second servings. Our server was Christina and she was very friendly and fast responsive. We totally enjoyed the experience and will be back definitely!!

Absolutely wonderful experience. The food was to die for! Charly, Joanna and Jacky were delights the whole time and were so attentive to me and my friend. It was our first time having Wagyu and we will never forget it. I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants a great experience! Best first dinner in Vegas ✨

The beef quality is very good. Seafood is fresh. It is really unlimited if you choose the $98 meal. For the food quality, it is worth of the money.

The food at Mikiya is absolutely amazing. The flavors are really great and the quality of the ingredients is super high. And we received BEYOND excellent service from Mike & Jacky. Aside from the meats which are delicious, the seafood is a MUST try! The crab legs were so tasty and fresh :)

This is a buffet style Wagyu hotpot restaurant. There are four different options to choice from. We got the $55 one. Meat quality is good, not Japanese Wagyu, but very tender and fresh steak thinly sliced.
