Miku Toronto

I took my daughter for dinner before a concert at Scotiabank Arena. I have nothing but good things to say. We were dressed a bit too casual for the decor but we were served with enthusiasm and respect from the moment we walked in. They checked our coats, walked us through the menu, discussed and volunteered recommendations. Every dish was described in detail to us as it was served. It was friendly and classy. I had the Hamachi Crudo, the 4 piece Aburi Prime plate, and the Tahitian Vanilla Cheesecake, with a Kagua Rouge beer (recommended by the waitress) to drink. Everything was so artfully plated it felt destructive to break it apart to eat it! Each bite had its own complex flavour profile - the 4 pieces on the Aburi Prime plate were their own individual experiences. The only thing to be aware of is the portions are on the small side, so the price is not related to quantity - this was not a surprise to me, and the waitstaff was transparent about this. I appreciate the restaurant making this a memorable experience for my daughter and I. Details matter, in service, decor, and food, and Miku nailed it.

We chose Miku for a business lunch, and it absolutely delivered. It did full justice to the meeting, and the client was genuinely impressed by the polished, top-notch experience. We tried a variety of sushi, udon noodles, and chicken karaage—everything was exceptional. The food was incredibly fresh, beautifully executed, and clearly carried a high-end touch across the board. Special brownie points to the service. It was professional, prompt, and well-calibrated for a business setting. The servers clearly understood business-lunch etiquette and didn’t interrupt unless called, which we really appreciated. Maintaining that level of standard is commendable. The ambiance is pleasant, and the restaurant is well lit, adding to the overall upscale feel. Area for improvement: The tables felt a bit too close to each other, which raised the overall noise level. We could easily hear conversations from the next table, which isn’t ideal for business discussions. That said, overall it was a top-notch experience and a solid choice for professional meetings.

Had dinner at Miku again and the food still hits. The sushi is super fresh and the aburi is easily the highlight — melts in your mouth every time. For the quality you get, the price is actually pretty reasonable. This was our second visit, and while the food was excellent, the service wasn’t quite as sharp as our first time. Nothing terrible, just a bit off compared to what we expected. Overall still a solid spot and we’d come back for the food alone.

My boyfriend and I went to Miku for the first time to celebrate our 3rd year anniversary, and we had the Winterlicious dinner set! For the first course, we had the sushi and sashimi collection and the premium nigiri selection. Each bite was fresh, full of flavour, and super tasty!! I literally got teary eyed eating the aburi bincho nigiri (flame seared albacore white tuna) because it was THAT good and I would definitely recommend it. The second course, we both got the glazed beef filet, and the beef was cooked perfectly to a delicious medium rare. The veggies were minuscule, and a bit ordinary, but still good. We decided to also order à la carte, as we wanted to try the Miku roll, which I found too mayo-heavy, but my boyfriend loved it. My favourite part about the Miku roll was the tobiko and the salmon though. I also really wanted my boyfriend to try the aburi bincho nigiri, so we decided to order a pair and enjoyed a piece each. For our final course, we got the green tea opera and the amaretto panna cotta. The green tea opera was so delicious, with the right amount of sweetness. If you like matcha I would definitely recommend this dessert. I don’t usually enjoy panna cotta, but I really liked Miku’s amaretto panna cotta! I think the various toppings and how light and flavourful it was made it enjoyable. Finally, shoutout to our server Louise, who was kind, friendly, and made us feel warmly welcomed at Miku :) Thank you to the chefs as well for the care they put into each dish. It was truly an unforgettable experience and we’re definitely coming back.

I came for the Winterlicious fixed menu (lunch) which was $55, i also ordered the Kumquat Cosmo ($17 additional cost). For the starters I chose the sashimi selection which was super good, specially the salmon sashimi, for the majn course I decided to try the Kaisen Don (poke bowl). This one was just okay, still enjoyable. For the dessert I followed my server recommendation and omg although im not a keen for matcha i have to say this was one of the most delicious desserts I’ve ever tried (Green Tea Opera) I will be back, thank you.

I've traveled a lot and I've been to Japan and I have eaten quite a bit of sushi in my life. That being said, the sushi I had at Miku Toronto is probably the most amazing sushi I've ever eaten. We had great support from our server who described everything and made recommendations which we followed and we had no regrets. How many times in your life? Do you put some food in your mouth and go OMG! That was my experience. I can't wait to go back.

I had the chance to try Miku’s Winterlicious lunch menu and it was absolutely worth it for $55 + tax. I’ve never gone before because the regular menu price point always felt a bit high, but this set menu was the perfect introduction. The Miku Zen was beautifully presented and very satisfying, and the aburi sushi was the highlight of the meal. The Salmon Oshi was especially incredible — easily my favorite bite. You can really taste the quality and care in the preparation. Dessert was just okay taste-wise, but very whimsical and nicely plated, which made it a fun way to end the meal. Overall, a great experience and I’d definitely consider coming back.

Visited the Toronto location and was delighted to find easy reservations and parking in the attached garage. Parking isn't validated but it is super easy. The meal was delicious! I am a fan of the Vancouver location and was so happy to find one in Toronto. You must try the salmon oshi. The Ebi fritters were popular with the teens in our group. The scallop crudo was perfectly prepared and a great starter. And the re wave is gluten free. Pricey meal for lunch but worth it. Service was terrific and the location is convenient if you're visiting downtown.

I had dinner with a party of 7 during a profession conference in early June. Miku was just up the street from our hotel, and we were not disappointed. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. Our server was fast, polite, and knowledgeable regarding the menu. We all had drinks and ate appetizers and sushi family style, with our server offering suggestions as we went. Everything was fantastic. This is not an inexpensive place to eat, and my boss got a hefty bill by the time we were done, but for seven people it was fair - we also benefitted from the exchange rate :-) In any event, this place is wonderful. A solid five!

Excellent service and equally delicious food! I came here alone after a particularly difficult day and course after course was fantastic. They were especially accommodating regarding my gluten allergy. Everything was literally melt in my mouth delicious. In the top 5 sushi restaurants that have ever tried. After a small hiccup at the beginning of my time there (I think that they forgot to assign a waiter to my table) they apologized profusely, my service was spectacular, and they now have a repeat customer. What matters most to me is not having had to wait to be served initially but how a restaurant handles something like that, and they handled it perfectly.

Came for their 7 course tasting menu for a birthday celebration and left feeling quite full! Each course was plated and presented so beautifully with an in depth description of the menu itself. My personal favorite was the wagyu steak but it was overly drenched in sauce and too salty for my liking, which masked the natural flavor of the wagyu. While everything tasted good, there was no wow factor for any of the courses which may have just been my unrealistic expectation considering the price of the meal. The whole meal lasted around 2 hours which I enjoyed being able to savor each bite and the dining experience in itself. I think the money was more worth it for the experience than the food and would personally like to try their sushi and rolls (rather than a tasting menu) next time I get to visit. However, I'd definitely recommend the tasting menu for a special occasion!

Got a last minute reservation for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was busy and service was a little slow. The food came out quick. The food was good. Portions are on the smaller side. Upscale ambiance was nice and relaxing.

We came here for dinner on our last night in Toronto because Japanese is one of our favorite genres of food. My husband should have researched the menu more because it is quite limited to just sushi and 4 non-sushi entrees. Parking can be challenging- your only option is the building garage. We ordered unagi nigiri, o-toro nigiri, wagyu striploin, the miku roll, salmon oshi (4 pcs), and aburi oshi sampler (3 pcs). Oshi is pressed sushi. The food came out pretty quick, but we were not impressed- portions were small, the wagyu steak and pressed sushi were blah without much taste and very underwhelming in terms of flavor. The best part was probably the fatty tuna belly & unagi sushi. The prices were astronomically high and not worth it imo. Service was mediocre- definitely could be better. Overall, it was a disappointing experience for us (we left still hungry). I wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking for authentic Japanese food w/ lots of sushi options.

I'm very happy that Miku is just as good now as I remember it being the first time I tried it. While some other Toronto restaurants have now matched their quality, that isn't a bad thing at all. This time, I came for a business lunch, and we got great feedback from our guests from out of town. We tried a number of things, including the tried and true Oshi Sushi. The lunch menu was quite limited - I do wish there were more options, especially from an appetizers perspective. In fact, when I look at the latest menu online, I'm pretty sure there's a chunk missing! It made ordering a bit trickier, as we wanted to share dishes. We ordered the Hamachi Crudo ($25), Hotate Crudo ($26), Miku Select ($38), and a Aburi Oshi Sampler each ($10.50). I was a big fan of the crudos - both had a very unique flavour and weren't repetitive at all. The Aburi Oshi Sampler was great for everyone at the table to try. I did feel like the Miku Select was a bit awkward for sharing, it's more of an individual sampling platter. It does seem worth it though, and a good option for people not sharing. For dessert, we ordered the Green Tea Opera ($17) and Mango Mochi Dome ($16). For $17, I felt the Green Tea Opera was a bit small - I remember it being bigger! I also wasn't the biggest fan of the Mochi Dome, but the other guests enjoyed it. I think it reminded me too much of a marshmallow texture. Overall the food was amazing as always. The service was a bit slow at times, especially when we wanted to order dessert and get the bill.

Took my mom to Miku for their Winterlicious menu. Cant vouch for their normal a-la-carte menu, but the Winterlicious food was so yummy! We started with Miku Zen, and the best part was definitely the miso salmon and tuna tartar. The sashimi was also very fresh. Aburi sushi didn't wow me, but the kaisen don had some really yummy components like the spicy salmon paste. Green tea opera cake was kind of a let down, but I think it's just because I personally am not very into chocolate and matcha mix. Winterlicious is definitely worth visiting once, I'm not too sure about what a normal dining experience might look like there though :)

There's no way I could miss Miku's Winterlicious 2024 :) The menu featured similar items to previous LiciousTO events, and the quality certainly didn't disappoint. If I had to nitpick, I would suggest toning down the oil on the Aburi Sushi, but overall, every dish was just as fantastic as I remembered. Professional service and a tidy dining space, as expected.

Fantastic restaurant steps away from my hotel (Westin Harbor Castle) We arrived early without reservations but were seated promptly. Server Louise was extremely helpful in explaining all of the menu choices and very well versed in types and styles of sushi. Large wine, cocktail and beer menu. Other helpers have posted pics of the menu, so let me just tell you how delicious and fresh every selection we tried was for our dinner. The mochi dome dessert was amazing and probably the best taste treat I've ever had. Espresso martini capped off the meal with flair and flavor. Highly recommend Miku.

Oh Miku. I was looking forward to coming here to celebrate! And I was not disappointed. For appetizer, we ordered the wagyu carpaccio. This was presented beautifully. The wagyu was placed on top of a pickled veggie and decorated delicately with flower petals on each piece. The star of the show was definitely the salmon oshi. We also ordered the Miku roll, salmon sashimi, o-toro and unagi nigiri. All of these tasted so fresh! No fishy after taste at all. The green tea opera and matcha latte were delicious (and importantly not too sweet). They also decorated the ice cream beautifully as well. Our server came by to check in with us and refill our drinks frequently. Service was efficient and friendly. Excited to visit again!

Let's talk about food for a minute. Food is good, the dish is delicate and overall I like the taste Service is good. The waiter we had was not over the top. She was friendly but not rude. Whenever we asked for help though, she usually responded The ambiance is good. The environment is good, I feel like it's quiet overall. Not too noisy The only downside is the price. We spent a total of 290 after tax and tip. Though me and my father enjoyed ourselves, I don't know if I will be back as I'm a modest spender and eating at a restaurant like this doesn't fit my style That being said, it was a special occasion today so it was different. If you are celebrating something and have the money to splash, go for it. You have to come here at least once

Great food and service. Definitely a special occasion place and not a business traveler on a budget but worth it for the experience. Really enjoyed the atmosphere.

Went here for dinner and the food/service was excellent. Very fresh sashimi (Hamachi, Kanpachi, O-Toro, & Maguro), the off menu duck confit was good and the pressed salmon oshi sushi tasted was great. Highly recommend that others come and give this place a try. Overall great experience dining at this restaurant.

GREAT and worth every expensive dime. The food here is not your normal sushi, and the drinks are beyond drinkable. Where do you stop when everything taste amazing and the drinks are to die for? MIKU! Great service, ambiance is inviting and fun and the look of the place is beautiful. BUT...no if ands or buts about it...The food will make you smack your grandma so hard that your dead ancestors feel it. Yum!!! I'd go back again and again. My only regret is not ordering dessert. Great location & ambiance It's quite à standardized upscale Japanese restaurant with fresh sashimi, but their pressed sushi is not the most impressive I love their opera cake , if you dine in the presentation of the cake is beyond gorgeous (and delicious!) You can also order the opera cake for take out for a bday party or special events (it's daily cheap too considering they're an upscale restaurant)

Só this is an updated review from my five star review from the pandemic days. We got our usual take out -the sazanka platter. They punched in the wrong price and I was left waiting 10 minutes for them to figure this out. But I think my main disappointment was with the quality of food. The salmon was fishy, the fish that topped the red wave roll was paper thin, the fish roe topping on another roll almost non existent. In the end, I felt like I had a meal of sugared rice and fishy mayonnaise. It was quite sad. I don't think I will go order from here again- I'd rather order from other cheaper restaurants that would serve better food at a better price point. So disappointed to lose a frequented restaurant to shrinkflation. I would rather the price be increased and quality control maintained.

The service here was awesome, really appreciate the servers and host talking to us and giving us options/tastings on things we'd like. That elevated the experience a lot for me. I definitely would recommend staying on getting the sushi because that was awesome and the reason it's a 4 star for me because the pork belly was really really raw and I was not expecting that! But a very nice place on the harbor and worth checking out!

We ordered miso soup and a Miku roll. For $40 this was not enough food for one person. BUT, this is one of the only restaurants in Toronto, who serves authentic salmon in their salmon rolls. You can notice how deep the colouring and how little fat the salmon has. This means that it's truly salmon and it's not from a fish farm. Salmon from the fish farm should actually be called steelhead trout since it has never been to an ocean. It is also infested with parasites and sea lice and if you read the packaging when it is harvested, you are never supposed to serve it as sushi, but always cook it. You can read all about the salmon industry and Alexandra Morton's excellent book. Just don't think you're eating anything healthy or environmentally sustainable when you're eating "salmon" from a salmon farm. Personally, I never want to support this practice, so I always look for wild, organic, etc and ask where if comes from. The roll was very nice with real crab not kani, and you could taste the quality, even though it left us wanting more! The miso soup was perfect with just the right amount of seaweed in it. Again, it was literally three big sips and it was done so perhaps they could fill the tiny paper container full. Regardless, this Japanese restaurant is offering true quality, which is very hard to find on Uber eats -- only Toné Sushi offers salmon of a similar quality, but it's not in all the rolls but offered in one item. We need to support restaurants like this who are doing the right thing.

It's a Thursday and we had lunch here. Been here many times so no surprise and menu hasn't changed much. Curious that they don't have albacore tuna - Same when we went to Minami 2 weeks ago. It was very hard to get the waitress attention for some reason so that wasn't great. Especially during lunch hours when time is short. The biggest surprise was that the salmon sashimi wasn't fresh. It's never happened to me before so quick surprised it's happened at Miku of all places. The texture was a little mushed...definitely at the end of a sell-by date. One last thing. Philosophically I don't like it when restaurants nowadays put min 18% on the machine when settling the bill. Miku is one of them - I have no issue rewarding exceptional services and glad to tip above average. But 18% isn't the floor!!!!

Miku is a safe option when it comes to fancier Japanese food. I came here with two friends visiting Toronto, and they wanted to see if it tasted the same. First, the service and atmosphere were excellent, as our server was attentive. For appetizers, we ordered the ebi fritters, oysters, and beef tartare. The beef tartare was delicious, but the portion was too small for three people. Then for the sushi, we had the aburi shrimp and salmon and the Miku roll. They all met our expectations, but the nigiri was where they lost one star because the rice was falling apart for a couple of the nigiri. The dessert was also good, and I really liked the mochi that our server recommended. I personally wouldn't come back because I think there are so many other options these days, but if you haven't tried them before, Miku is one of the better Japanese restaurants.

The Valentines Kaiseki was phenomenal, was able to try things I've been meaning to try like Foie Gras, Wagyu, King Crab and Uni! It was fairly pricey for a really long service so... not sure if I'll be coming back but the experience was worth the try! I didn't enjoy it as much as we were seated right beside where the servers pass regularly to go into the kitchen, the ambiance killed it for me as well as how long it took to get each course when others were getting it right away. Our bill came up to $420 minus tip. Imo, if I'm paying that much, the service and ambiance should be to the T. I appreciate those things in a restaurant almost as equally as the food. I've had better experiences in places that are 1/4th of the price. I'm sure we got unlucky with the seating and given its Valentines Day and all... which was a bummer for us.

Wonderful from start to finish. We started with their Brussels sprouts which had pieces of pork belly on top that was a nice addition however the Brussels sprouts on their own were wonderful. We ordered a few of their roles however their signature roles are the way to go, and the albacore was absolutely great. We ended with the cheese tart which I was skeptical of (not a fan of grapes and it had blue cheese shavings on it), but not only was it absolutely beautiful the taste was beyond wonderful. If I could have licked the plate I would have. That dessert alone is reason to stop by. Service was flawless and this will definitely be a stop I make when I'm back in this city.

Excellent sashimi with extensive alcohol selection. Dessert was delicious and pretty.

Nice selection of Japanese whiskies, along with other spirits. I recommend the Hibiki Harmony. I followed that with the Wagyu Old Fashioned, which was nice. The nigiri, sashimi and sushi menu was not extensive, but delicious. Everything presented with perfection, teasing my taste buds. I sat at the bar and didn't feel any compromise in service. Only a very short walk from the harbor. Looking forward to returning next time I'm in Toronto.

We came to celebrate my friends' and my birthday. I've dined here a few times before with a smaller group (2-4 people) and always enjoyed the food. This time, we were a larger party of 8. We were seated at a table at the back by the windows. I liked that it was away from the rest of the patrons and therefore more private for us. We decided to share the Miku Waterfront Platter which was good. I liked the variety and presentation. We also ordered a ton of sharing plates: the Aonori Tempura Calamari which was decent. The Salmon Oshi is my favourite (I always order this when I'm here), the Spicy Sesame Edamame was ok, Crispy Brussel Sprouts are also a favourite and something I always order, and the Aburi Beef Carpaccio was great. I had the AAA Sterling Silver Prime Rib which was excellent. The meat was really tender and delicious. The Kaisen Soba Pepperoncino tasted great as well. As for the birthday desserts, we had a scoop of sorbet with a lit candle and "Happy Birthday" neatly written. It was really cute and I loved it! We ordered some dessert to share: the Green Tea Opera is my favourite and something I order every time, the Japanese Peach Elba is something I wouldn't order again, and the Ichigo Velvet Mochi Dome was okay. The service was fantastic as always, and I always have a good time here.

Expensive thus not the daily sushis but good franchise with many great in vancouver and quite as good here in toronto Aburi sushi are for sure the best choice but many other are good also

I finally got the chance to try out this restaurant after passing by many times. It is located close to the Harbourfront area, with a nice patio in the summer. The environment is friendly and professional, with many booth seats and big windows. The staff is trained really well and are very knowledgeable about the food and its ingredients. Excellent service! Be sure to make a reservation, as it often gets busy. I highly recommend ordering the Miku Roll and any of their torched sushi. It tastes so fresh and melts in your mouth! The Green Tea opera matcha cake is also one of my favs. The portions are on the small side, but it's a premium place to splurge once in awhile!

The oshi pressed aburi is the best in town. I will keep coming back just for those. Hefty price for a single order but every bite feels like angels are singing Highly recommended -- wish the oshi's are priced in a more reasonable manner

We're from Seattle, my husband lived in Japan for 6 years, and we eat sushi every week. Our top priority in a sushi restaurant is the quality of the fish: Miku provided, and we'd happily come back any time we're in Toronto again. The staff was accommodating when our party wanted to move to a quieter table, and our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The non-fish menu items were creative and delightful. Our party had: APPETIZERS * the tofu & potato salad (5/5) * Japanese Crispy Chicken (4/5 - very good but I felt it needed something to brighten it up, like a small salad or something) FISH/ABURI * maguro sashimi (4.7/5 - nothing to hide behind, perfect texture, ever so slight lack of followthrough in flavor) * Salmon Oshi Sushi (5/5 - a subtle spiciness and smokiness) * Aburi Signature sushi plate - 4 pieces nigiri (5/5) * Premium Sushi Selection - 4 pieces nigiri (5/5) * a custom-made crab roll with just crab-mayo mixture (5/5) DRINKS * Toji Fizz (5/5 - non-alcoholic, very light and refreshing) * Affogato (5/5 - I'd call this a dessert! An espresso shot on jasmine tea ice cream: It was amazing and came with a lovely little cake, AK.A. "financier", something like a "green tea brownie") DESSERTS * Tahitian Vanilla Bean Cheesecake (5/5) As far as price goes, it's expensive, but a really high-quality Japanese meal in Seattle would be much more, so we were very pleasantly surprised. The attention to detail, the thoughtful menu, the ambiance, and the presentation definitely makes Miku a great choice if you're looking for an upscale restaurant that can impress you with the food just as much as all the other details.

For the love of Aburi sushi! And make it oishi! Best pressed sushi are made here: and torched style with truffle oil for extra. So good!! Absolutely divine. The good: Aburi style sushi! Any of the torches pressed sushi: oishi! The signature rolls, the creamy udon. I wasn't expecting much from Udon but it was worth a trip or 7. The torched pressed sushi though: worth like 10-12 trips alone for that. Tried their surf and turf roll as well. I thought that was a ok. On a pricier side and a ok. Aburi sushi though, can't go wrong. They are also extremely busy. Make reservation! I got in easy first time around the last trip: I ended up waiting almost an hour for counter: bar seat for 1! Very long wait. Love the green tea opera cake! Get the mini version if you can, compliments the meal, ambiance and then some!! It's a necessary ending for the meal here! Till next time.

Probably some of the best sushi in the city! Love and have tried it many times. Great ambience and the service staff are amazing

It begins and ends with Kevin, who may be the world's best server. He gave impeccable recommendations, made us laugh, helped us choose, and absolutely elevated our experience. He even surprised us with a flourish that I won't describe here but can absolutely say was the hilarious highlight of the night. Not that it needed much help: the oysters, sushi, and desserts were all astonishingly good. I want to give specifics but there are too many! Truly, there were no missteps. Delicious every bite of every course. Easiest way to say it is that I'll remember this meal for many years. So fun, so good.

I'm from Vancouver, where I believe this restaurant originated. Honestly, I think it is slightly overrated... but it's good. Fine, it's really good. I like to hate on it just a bit, because it was trying too hard when it first started up. On my visit here to this location in Toronto, I had a really great time. Food was good and service was good. My only complaint is perhaps that the hostess did a poor job of seating us. We had to ask for a better table. It is a pet peeve of mine that a restaurant does not give you the best seat in the house, if it is available. I know restaurants want to spread their customers across the sections evenly, for the sake of the servers, but that's not the customer's problem to care about. Just always give your paying customers the best seat in the house.

I had the sushi sampler and Kaisen Soba Noodles and it was some of the best sushi and noodles I've ever had!!! My server Josh was very helpful and knowledgeable. The whole staff is friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this place so much that I'm bringing my friend here next week!

Everything we got was delicious. I had come here a couple of years ago and was so happy when they still had the mochi ichigo dome dessert. The matcha ice cream that they serve with it is so delicious and the softness of the mochi is to die for. The oysters seem to have some sort of yuzu sauce with them and I enjoyed them. I love love aburi and they do it right here. At the end of our experience lunch ended up being close to $210 dollars including tip. A little bit on the pricier side but we did have a sparking water and espresso martini not featured in the photos. During happy hour there weren't many people in sight, but the restaurant is well kept and the servers were attentive in changing our plates and cutlery. Would definitely come back!

Really good spot if you are looking to treat yourself! I went for the summerlicious event in which there was a 3 course dinner and the food was great! The sushi tasted very fresh and the dessert was some of the best I've had -- I would definitely opt for the black sesame bread pudding, so light and fluffy with great citrusy and sweet flavours! I personally wasn't a fan of the sake, but I would recommend trying it if it is something you enjoy

A very solid $75 set menu dinner offering for Summerlicious 2022. Thé food was very tasty but not exceptional. The service was not the most attentive because they were clearly so busy. Rating it down as well because I did NOT enjoy the sake flight at all unfortunately; only 1 of the 3 options was somewhat palatable. Miku is overhyped in my opinion, there are much better options at that price point. The dessert was truly the highlight of the meal; I would purchase both desserts from a dessert shop if it was offered. Unfortunately the entree of roast grouper was simply average. The sides were not great, I discovered Im not a fan of charred bok choi.

We are a frequent diner at Miku but our last dinner was disappointing. Price went up and the portion was small. We had the Wagyu strip loin, there was a price increase from $59 to $110. That was outrageous for such an almost 100% increase. Sushi roll was also went from 6 pieces down to 4 pieces etc. We will not return!

Came here for my birthday and we decided to try their Kaiseki, which is a traditional multi-course Japanese dinner. There are 5 courses featuring a 3-tier appetizer course, a SEA course, a LAND course, a sushi course. and a dessert. My absolute fav was the A5 Wagyu rib eye roll that melted in my mouth. I was also blown away by the ice cream parfait that had so many delicious components. Since Miku is known for their Aburi sushi, we also ordered the aburi oishi sampler, and the Miku roll. The whole meal was exceptional including the service and atmosphere, so I would highly recommend! Note: you can just order one Kaiseki set to share. Miku is still my fav sushi place. This is place is so good. It never disappoints. They have a variety of sushi platters with cooked and raw food. I'm not a raw sushi person but the torched sushi platter is amazing. Even after the pandemic the service and food quality Is top notch. You get what you pay for.

Excellent service , my waiter was very nice. I haven't been here in 5yrs and when I'm in Toronto this is my go to spot! I come here jus for the salmon aburi oahi sushi, it's a must order!! I had 3 orders of it!! I'm in heaven and it still taste like how I remember 5yrs ago

A superb experience at Miku! I love this stuff, even though it hurts my wallet. They have a wide variety of stuff - and even a price fixe menu which I tend to always stick with (they know what's best). I've only ever been to miku at dinner and it's always been a great experience with service - they know each dish, explain it throughly and are more than kind when serving. They really do deserve that $80-100 tip at the end!! The sushi there is always fresh and although sometimes the combo may seem weird, the chefs know what they're doing and the umami and taste just flow on the tongue. If they have wagyu ANYTHING, go for it - the best wagyu I've ever had in my whole life. It's crazy how vivid the taste is. Even the desserts are always spectacular. I love whatever they put together! The best part is that I never feel sickly full after it and although it may look small, it's a lot of food and will keep you content. Expect to drop at least $500+ on one meal though! AKA. do not bring a first date or someone you're casually seeing (make sure you guys are exclusive, or ask for separate checks! Lol)

Pretty good. Slightly pricey, but good quality. Clean, and the service was very professional. I would come back, and I have no complaints. One thing we're facing these days in Toronto is that some immigrant servers bring their values and expectations, which are culturally different from Canadian standards, different from local expectations. Not bad nor good, just different. So some people may be picky on servers.

This restaurant was recommended to me for fresh aburi sushi. To celebrate the end of a long week, my friend and I came for dinner. We were very excited as we've been to its sister restaurant Tora and were curious as to how different this place would be! The restaurant's interior is simple and elegant. I loved looking at the lights on the ceiling- they were fascinating pieces of art! In some sections, there were large clear plastic dividers to keep diners safe. We ordered: -Salmon oshi sushi (6 pieces) & Aburi oshi sampler (6 pieces) -Miku roll (8 pieces) -Warm matcha valrhona chocolate fondant The service was excellent from start to finish. A young gentleman was our waiter. After he wrote down our orders, he asked us about our allergies. My friend informed him that she's allergic to shrimp and shellfish. When our orders arrived, the ebi oshi sushi (torched prawn) pieces from the Aburi oshi sampler were on a separate plate- which we really appreciated. Throughout the evening, our waters were always filled, the empty plates were taken away, and he checked in a few times to check that everything was going well. The oshi sushi were our favourite! The rice was well-packed and kept its shape. The torched sushi melted in our mouths, each bite was pure heaven! Miku roll was good- I enjoyed the crunchy texture of the tobiko (flying fish roe) and the smoothness of the Miku sauce blending in with the ingredients in the roll. The matcha fondant was beautiful and delicious! We loved the way the matcha goodness oozed like a lava inside the chocolate fondant. The Japanese whiskey ice cream was quite strong! However, the strong flavour went well with the sweetness of the matcha, thus balancing out the flavours. Highly recommended! Your taste buds will thank you! :) Tips: -Reservation highly recommended -There is a 2 hour dining limit -Sit by the large artwork (blue fishes swimming) for a cozy and quiet vibe, or, sit under the cool ceiling art for a vibrant and lively vibe.

This sushi restaurant is located inside a shopping center so it doesn't have upside visibility. The design of the space is exquisite. We dropped in with no reservation and we're able to be seated immediately in a wonderful location with a view of the whole restaurant. The sushi was impeccable! We were there for lunch so we did Amy have any cocktails but the server kept our tea and water filled. The servers, I causing the bartender were very attentive!

Do I recommend this place... Before coming here for my bachelor party I knew I wanted to come here. Flew in a day early and ended up having dinner here. It was so good I FaceTimed my fiancé to describe the flavors. The next day for lunch I brought everyone here to try the sushi. This is game changing delicious!
