We recently visited Mila Moursi Spa and had some highs and lows during our experience. The service at the pool with Taylor was excellent—super attentive and friendly. I also had a fantastic massage with Hannah—she was professional and truly skilled.
However, the spa facilities left much to be desired. The locker room was extremely small with only two showers and two bathrooms, and oddly, there were no hooks in any of the bathrooms to hang your robe. There’s no actual changing room—just lockers right in front of the mirrors, which created a crowded, uncomfortable situation with several people trying to blow dry their hair at once in a hot, humid environment next to steaming showers.
The sauna wasn’t working, and when we asked about it, the response felt dismissive and vague. The front desk staff didn’t help the experience either—neither friendly nor welcoming. For spending over $1000, we expected at least a smile, a “thank you,” or even a “how was everything?” Instead, the only thing they emphasized was that valet was complimentary—as if that justified the overall lackluster hospitality.
Considering this is a spa located in Rancho Santa Fe, I expected a much higher standard of service and amenities. Unfortunately, the amazing massage and great pool service were overshadowed by the underwhelming facilities and poor front desk attitude.
