Milagro's Cocina Mexicana

The tacos were okay, not anything special. It was the blandest Mexican food I have ever eaten. There was no flavor to the rice or beans. We had mushroom tacos and tacos Carne Asada. The churros were good but served in a replica of a street cart, I think. It took up the better part of our table and made conversation impossible. Churros are served with good chocolate sauce and a very sweet white sauce. Our server was attentive.

Actually a pretty great spot! Bartender was friendly and sang songs lol, food was pretty decent! I'd definitely come back for another meal!

We got the happy hour dragon fruit margs which were really good and so pretty! The food was filling. Our server gave us a sample of some soup which was surprisingly delicious! We sat outside with our dog. Food came out fast!

We went during lunch and while they were busy, they sat us quickly. The server was incredibly kind and patient with my elderly family members. Restaurant offers great atmosphere, which I would imagine offers a much lively ambience in the afternoons and weekends. The food was okay, I wouldn’t return for the food alone, but I am looking forward to checking out their drink menu. The guacamole is amazing!

I have to say, this was hands down the most flavorless Mexican food I’ve ever had. The salsas and pickled sides looked colorful, but they had absolutely no punch—bland and watery, with none of the spice or tang you’d expect. The queso, guacamole, and salsa trio were just as disappointing. The queso tasted like plain melted cheese with no seasoning, the guacamole was dull and lifeless, and the green salsa was all color with zero flavor. The molcajete platter with meat and shrimp was a letdown too. The beef was chewy, the chicken dry, and the shrimp rubbery. The sauces they came with did nothing to bring them to life. It all just felt like a pile of ingredients thrown together without any care. The tacos should’ve been the highlight, but they were greasy and bland. Even the consomé, which is usually rich and savory, tasted watered down. The rice and beans on the side were just as lifeless, lacking any seasoning whatsoever. Overall, the food looked decent when it came out, but every single bite was flat and uninspired. For a cuisine that’s supposed to be bold, vibrant, and full of flavor, this was nothing but a huge disappointment.

Ok the decor was my favorite. The food was fantastic, it's pretty large servings so I do wish they included more lettuce, sour cream, etc. Staff was very kind and attentive, super clean. Super chic.

Across the board our experience was outstanding. Cadillac margaritas were perfect, food was great, and the service was superb! We were greeted by the owner, Max, and Rony proved excellent service. Clearly the staff understands the importance of being friendly in a genuine way and exhibiting exceptional professionalism. To be frank, the setback from North Academy in Falcon Landing makes it easy to not see or notice Milagro’s from the road, but it is definitely worth checking out!

Came before their rush. Was greeted warmly right away by the owner and hostess. Our server was fantastic. The interior is clean and well decorated. The food was delicious! Fast service, great prices and I'll definitely be back. Everything tasted so good, everyone commented how they loved what they ordered. Awesome experience.

I was really in the mood for some Carne Asada, and this place did not disappoint! From the tortillas with salsa (and not runny, it is nice and smoothly thick), to the Carne Asada with beans and rice!!! OMG, OMG! The Sangria Margarita was very tasty as well! I did not anticipate the size of it though! Sebastian was our waiter extraordinaire! Was very helpful! Even in me being nosey asking about other customers dishes lol. Loved the music! Very soft ambience! Very good experience! I will definitely be back

The food is not good. I got the burrito with barbacoa meat. It tasted like it came out of a can. My wife had the pollo mole, and it was not edible - the flavor profile was terrible. And yes, we have had mole many times and know what it is supposed to taste like. I wish we had read the prior poor reviews as this was a wasted experience. We do hope they revamp and elevate their menu as the location is great.

We enjoyed Milagro's service, food and drinks. We stopped by for drinks and appetizers. Our server was very friendly and made the drinks as requested! On point! Definitely we will be back!

I have been wanting to try this spot for a couple of years now and finally visited with the hubs. The place is huge and the menu extensive and mostly authentic (nice decor and good music). Drinks were delicious. Service was slow, but the bartender explained he was short help that day in the bar area. As bad luck would have it, I ordered the same combo dish as a neighboring table, but they brought me that table's particular choices, 2 out of 3 of which were the same as mine, but I failed to notice until I'd already taken a bite that the third was different. I didn't mind and didn't mention it, but after quite a bit of commotion to our left, they brought out the correct plate to my neighbor and brought me the correct third item. To me, that was excellent service, though not needed. We laughed at the "queso blanco" appetizer that was anything but blanco but was still tasty. The best part may have been the endless chips and salsa, which would explain why I had to take my fourth combo item to go. We would definitely give this place another try when we're near the Academy again.

*3.5 stars* for food. We ordered the pork belly al pastor tacos and chipotle enchiladas. The pork belly al pastor had great flavor as well as the rice and beans. I wasn't a fan of the chipotle sauce on the enchiladas and the barbacoa needed more moisture and flavor. I'd have to agree that the quality isn't there for the price point. The service was great, and I did enjoy the ambiance. Overall, just okay.

We had a wonderful dinner at Milagros Cocina Mexicana tonight. Mango margaritas for the table and I super enjoyed the Barbacoa Tacos. Wonderful atmosphere, staff, and menu. Delicious! Totally worth the visit and we'll be back! Thanks Rony Pepperoni for being a terrific server!

I hate giving a poor review to Milagros because it is one of our favourite restaurants in Colorado Springs. We had 2 big failures this week at the restaurant. One of our party ordered tacos and when he bit into the second one he bit into a piece of a wire. If he had swallowed it, it could have had disastrous results. The kitchen needs to take much better care in their preparations. The other incident was in delivering flour tortillas instead of corn tortillas to one of our group. Being gluten free it resulted in problems the next day. Not pretty. Another issue on this trip was dry chicken served on the pollo al pastor. A sauce on it would have been welcomed. I wouldn't want to discourage anyone from going. The tacos were comped and I'll forgo the tortillas the next time. The kitchen needs to take better care of prepping and our male server needs to deliver the correct food to his patrons.

Good food and good presentation. Waiter needs to be more accurate. Asked for No salt on margarita, burrito sauce on sides please , and where was the guacamole? And I didn't order the churro cart... just wondered what it was! But we got it and paid for it. Decor was strange. Margarita was very good

4 stars for service and friendliness. Food was a 3. Not sure if this is a different style of Mexican food from what I'm used to. I ordered a beef chimichanga and got a chicken. But that's ok. I ate it. Plenty of food is served, but it has a different zing to it. Definately try it. You may like it.

Unless you only a place to drink your troubles away, just do yourself a favor pass it by. Dirty, in disrepair, small holes in the walls, seems unattended. Food is equally unattended to, not even worth writing why. Check my other reviews for some great CoS Mexican fare.

I've eaten here a few times and it was pretty good. This last time I had take out. My salad had about 1/2 inch of water in the bottom and salmon was not fresh. I had to throw out the whole thing. I don't recommend eating take out here only inside dinning.

This place feels more like an airport Mexican restaurant than a 4 star restaurant. The oil was old, resulting in dark soggy chile rellenos. The salsa was tomato paste-y and the tacos had zero flavor. Red sauce topping food also had a tomato paste quality. Street tacos served with single tortilla and the tacos very soggy. The only bright spot... at least their pricey cocktails were well made. Service was lacking too. Won't go back.

We were wanting to go to a restaurant we have never been to and knew this place was relatively new. We were blown away! My cucumber mocktail was delicious, nice and refreshing and not too sweet! The bartender was so sweet and helpful on recommendations from the menu. We got the salsa flight and we're blown away by how large it was, definitely worth the $9. The tomatillo was our favorite but they were all good. But the real star here was the pork belly tacos. All we can say is WOW! They were so flavorful and the pork just melted in your mouth! We were surprised this place wasn't busier on a Saturday afternoon. I hope more people try them out, we will absolutely be back!

Forgot to put our order in for over 20 minutes and then proceeded to be extremely rude about it we just wanted an update and they told us that we needed to wait and when the food came it came and to be patient when were being nice just wanted to know as my wife and I used to work in restaurants and always extend patience and courtesy

I got a smoky pineapple and a simple Mexicano Ceviche. My Lord. The drunk was very cute, wasn't sure if there was any actual tequila in it. And I rarely have a drink it was a shame. The food was absolutely gross. I took two bites and then smelled the shrimp because something was off. Long story short, I asked for the menu but then decided it was time to go. Waiter never asked if everything was okay. Because she knew it wasn't. I spent $40 to sip a pineapple Caprisun. Definitely not an authentic Mexican restaurant.

We sat at the bar for a late lunch / early dinner. I noticed right away the bar height is too high for the chairs. It was a little uncomfortable to eat at the bar. We began our meal with free chips and salsa. The salsa was SPICY! It had a delicious flavor; however, it is quite spicy. I ordered the Tinga and Barbacoa street tacos. Both are gluten free! The Tinga was sweet, less sweet with salsa. The Barbacoa was flavorful. The portion of meat to taco was off -- too much meat for the size of the tortilla. Costillos de puerco (not gluten free) needed more spice. The flavor was good but not strong enough. Cocinina pabil should add a pickled vegetable. Large portion! Recommend to add salsa to the taco. Everything was just short of great -- needs more variety of flavors and textures on one dish.

Tonight I brought in my family tonight for HH. While our waiter was friendly the overall ervice was slow. After we finished our meal my son saw something floating in his water glass. When we shined a flashed light in the glass we saw what looked like tiny gnats, about 6 of them. I brought it to the attention of the waiter and was immediately blown off as he took the glass into the back denying that it was bugs. When he came back out, he said that it was the ice, but that they do have gnats flying around the ice machine. He also told my son that he would be ok and not to worry about it. No compensation was offered for this disgusting issue and no manager/owner was informed also to have it addressed. We will not be coming back and I highly recommend you do not go also!

I was excited to try this place out as it has a good ambiance. The service was sub par. Our server took their sweet time taking our order and we only saw them 3 times. To take our order, bring our food and gave us the check. As for the food was about as average as you can get but you do get large portions. The "salsa" tasted identical to Pergo spaghetti sauce and is hands down the worst "salsa" that has ever touched my tongue. If you don't have any options or are willing to drink multiple margaritas so that the food tastes decent, this is your spot.

It's an upscale Mexican restaurant, and the price of the food definitely matches! The presentation was great, but the taste is unmatched! I've never tried chipotle sauce but now that's how I want all enchiladas

I hardly leave reviews but this was our first time visiting, it is a great spot. They are attentive and the food is delicious. Ricky was the best server!

Late dinner, everyone was very pleasant and the atmosphere was great. Very clean, relaxed and would definitely recommend! Delicious authentic food, will come back when we visit again.

Vibe is great inside, very clean, friendly staff in here & was impressed with how great the decoration was. 4/5 because the food is served WAY too hot, both of our dinners were so hot we couldn't even bite into our food without worrying our tongue would get burnt. Also my partner has an extreme tomato allergy, let the waitress know & she said they could still order x items w/o the tomato worries.... Came out w/tomato's anyway so we had to sit & wait for another order of that item. Also the alcoholic drink we got was watered down. Would come back, as the main course meals were good & tasted very refreshing. Pricing is also very fair compared to other Mexican restaurants! Paid just under $50 for everything pictured before tip.

We will be back, the drinks and food were all amazing! It was not very busy on this Thursday afternoon. It was very clean inside.

I recently moved to COS from Chicago and have been very unhappy with the food choices here, until I found Milagros on Friday night. I took my parents here while they were visiting and the food was amazing. I had the Mole and it was perfect, not too sweet or "cinnamonny". They also have the absolute best tortillas in the state, I will be purchasing all my tortillas from Milagros. The restaurant was very cute and clean, but the walls surrounding the booths need resurfaced and wiped down.

The food was authentic, and the sauces were out of this world. We sat at the bar, the bartender was very knowledgeable about the tequilas. And I will say they had quite the collection of glassware. I found to be very unique and specific for the restaurant. I will definitely be going back for the Guajillo pepper sauce.!

I often with yelp was on a 10 point system. For Milagros 3 stars does not seem enough but I'm not over the edge to "4". Yes I am often a tough critic. We went to Milagros on a whim a couple days ago. My wife had chicken flautas (appetizer item), I had chicken mole enchiladas and the house margarita (grande). The place is very clean, service was friendly and good. The marg was big and tasty. Our food came out fast. Really shockingly fast. Is that good or bad? One might think it was all pre-made? That being said I liked it ..good chocolate/mole flavor.. I stole a bite of my wife's it was Crispy, moist with good flavor. So all in all I enjoyed our visit. We will go again and if I could give 3.5 stars I would...

I come her for girls night every months! The service is outstanding and the food is sooo good. Please get the churro cart! You won't regret it !

I've been to Milagro's twice now and I can safely say that this is my favorite sit down Mexican restaurant in Colorado Springs. The first time I went we got queso fundido which was a fantastic queso. The chips are also very good and the salsa is good but is also very mild. For my entree I had molcajete which was also very good but the highlight is the corn tortillas here. Usually there is someone hand making the tortillas and they are very good, especially as someone who prefers flour over corn tortillas. The molcajete salsa is also very mild. The second time I went I got the burrito with barbacoa and ranchera salsa. The burrito was big, had a good mix of ingredients, and had a good cream sauce topping. For only about $16 the burrito is a pretty good deal when compared to a lot of taquerias that have burritos at over $10. The guacamole is a great addition, only negative was the pico and lettuce left a lot of excess water on the plate but most of it was far enough away from the burrito it didn't soak it up. The salsa is very mild and that is probably my biggest complaint is how nothing has any spice in it, I'd like there to be a little bit more spice in my salsa. The service was good as well. Overall I do highly recommend this place. While many options on the menu are expensive there are still many items that won't break the bank.

I was happy to stop by this New Mexican restaurant. It is a beautiful place that has a modern ambiance. The foods and drinks are equally as beautiful and even more delicious. The price is on the higher side of your average Mexican spot. But I highly recommend the lunch specials! It comes with chips and salsa and is all $13. The portions are huge and very satisfying. I went with Pick 2 Items which comes with Rice and Beans. It was played beautifully and The taco dorado and burrito hit! The drinks were also so pretty and refreshing. I enjoyed the vibes. All the staff was super welcoming and the bartender was attentive and friendly. Overall, this is a great date or lunch spot. The ambiance is great and the food is authentically delicious.

I have wanted to try Milagros since it opened. Reviews have gotten better so I convinced our group to try it. We are "one and done". Guacamole was a great way to start. Chips were thicker, and tasty. Salsa was so so - not very flavorful - missing lime - maybe had some oregano. Maybe we should have tried the flight of salsa's. Chicken fajitas were good - tasty - hot and plenty of food! My chipotle enchiladas were ok - beef was hot but the tortillas were cool. Sauce didn't have much chipotle flavor. Another chipotle enchilada order was several minutes late. Our server explained they ran out but were making more and it would be out in "2 minutes". At least 5 minutes later it came and we all just stared at it - the sauce looked completely different than the exact same sauce on my dish. More red, no texture to it, and it tasted like a tomato sauce without the chipotle. Not sure the cook knew there were two of the same dishes at the table. And to bring three of four dishes and then after several minutes tell us they don't have the fourth dish isn't acceptable. Then to bring something completely different? Come on! For the price, this was disappointing. Milagro's gets mixed reviews - because the food is inconsistent. Time to step up and get a chef who knows how to cook high quality Mexican food. Paying top dollar for the dishes and adding $3.50 for rice and beans sets an expectation for the customer that is frankly higher than the food delivered. We'll go back to our tried and true Mexican places!

This place was recommended by some coworkers.... And they nailed it!! After walking in we were promptly seated and served warm chips with salsa and Diablo sauve. Tried the smoke pineapple margarita and sangria. Needless to say they were very tasty and had several. The waitress recommended the molcajete entree. It was packed with flavor as it had. Hi Ken, shrimp, steak, chilis, and cheese. The shrimp and chicken had great flavor. The steak was a little over cooked and didn't have as much flavor. The portions were just right as it was accompanied with guacamole, pico, sour cream, and tortillas. Overall.... A great new experience that I'll be going back to in the near future with friends!! Thank you to the team for creating a good environment and allowing me to enjoy this new discovery.

Went here for my husband's birthday and loved it! Great modern spin on traditional Mexican meals. The vibe was upscale and classy, which was fun to see for a Mexican restaurant in town! I love how dramatic their plating is with the wooden boards. They bring out your food and it makes it look like a whole feast! Chips, salsa, guac - all A+ for me. Nina Fresa marg was the perfect size and sweetness. Definitely try the Molcajete if you're feeling frisky and the Carne Asada if you're looking for something more familiar! Both delicious! Will definitely be back to try the rest of their menu!

Moved to Colorado Springs 2 yrs ago and its been hard to find a good and authentic Mexican restaurant. May I share that we have finally found it!! My husband and I were very pleased with our lunch dishes, house margaritas, and the service, phenomenal!! Anthony made our house margaritas, delicioso! And Chef Beto, made some tasty sopa de tortilla and their lunch taco and burrito con frijoles and arroz dish. Authentic Mexican flavors! We are definitely coming back and bringing our friends!

I really wanted to love this place. Its a short drive away from my home and it has some really cool decorations with huge murals and fun lights. Here's the problem; The prices don't match the quality of the food. I ordered a polenta appetizer which was okay. I also had two margaritas those were basically simple syrup with a salted rim. Probably the most disappointing thing of the night. I had ceviche and my husband had the grilled pulpo. The snapper ceviche was super super spicy so be aware. The shrimp ceviche was refreshing. We didnt order dessert but I did see some fun options. I may have to return in a couple of weeks after they have worked out their kinks and give them another shot. Its always hard to judge a restaurant when they have just open.

Cochinita Pibil is one of my favorite dishes in the world. It is wonderful in both its simplicity (slow roasted pork) and subtle complexity (citrus based bouquet that utilizes achiote and is tightly wrapped in banana leaves during cook). Problem(s): 1) I can't find a place that doesn't completely trash it and turn it into pork jerky. 2) It rarely has enough heat (to be fair it's not supposed to be death hot, just a touch with sweet offset). 3) You get your tequila ready to pair just to have the dish.... let you down. The good people at Milagros have put together an excellent presentation from their menu that more than solves all of these. To clarify this isn't technically what we recognize as American Mexican cuisine (mostly Tex Mex, snore) as much as it is traditional Yucatán fare. As I am not a native I will not insult those wonderful people by explaining the difference. Use your Google people. Also read more than one article. Milagros ops to use a shank (I think, they didn't let me in on their recipe) and does the slow roast until the meat falls off the bone and you can cut it with a spoon (yummy). They are generous in fruit usage (OJ and lemon in the sauce, grapes in the mix, I think strawberry in the Habanero jam, as again I'm guessing) without overpowering the Achiote or smoky peppery goodness of the dark disintegrating meaty goodness drowning in the resulting jus. The wheat tortilla is particularly nice (I know I know, heretic it should be maize) with just the right balance of oily and crispy as to support your magical construction of meat, sauce, and extras in your perfect roll up. Super fun idea to cut up basic ball park sausages into the sauce. Never seen that before. It's worth making a trip here just for this dish. I mean have I had a better one? Yes. But I was 2,400 miles from where I'm sitting now in a tiny village somewhere in the Tinúm Municipality with a kind tour guide who was making sure I didn't drive off a cliff as idiotic tourists sometimes do. So unless you want to involve a passport, plane, car, a couple miles of hiking, learning a second language....... this one is very good. Make sure you eat the jam. If you don't.......then you are lost in a dark cavern of gastronomic purgatory from which escape may not be possible. Even with a passport and plane ticket. Hasta!!!!

Loves the vibe of the place and decor. It had some very pretty murals. For drinks I had an Horchata and my Husband got a Cucumber Mocktail. Both were great but his was definitely way better! My meal was amazing. Portions were huge! The only thing I'll do differently is ask for no cheese on my beans in the future but aside from that definitely 5/5!! We will definitely come back and try more things on the menu!

Took out of town guests. The temperature of the restaurant was quite warm. Not a great place to go if you're looking to get out of the heat. Food was mediocre at best. Server was friendly and attentive. I will not be returning or recommending. Very disappointing.

Went on a cold Tues night. It was not as busy as I had seen it before, which was nice. The service was excellent! I had the El Jefe and the Smoky Pineapple Margaritas, which were both amazing. The Molcajete was an experience all to itself. It came out sizzling like fajitas, and the anchiote sauce was a delightful surprise. Definitely enough for 2 people to share. Left Full and Happy!

This food wasn't really good and I only tasted BEANS and the plate was more cooked than the burrito!

The food was incredible. To start off strong we ordered the Queso for the table which was worth it. Following we got Tacos and Huevos Rancheros. PLENTY of food for the price you pay. Our waiter was very attentive and eager to serve us. The restaurant felt clean up to date decor. My only "complaint" is the women's bathroom was not comfortable. 2 of the stalls you are sitting in the dark because the light is off, one of the sinks is taped shut because it might not work, the other sink you have to hold the neck of the faucet at the same time while you use your other hand to turn on the sink or else the whole appliance will move. Other than the bathroom it was great! Definitely coming back

So this place is remarkable. The food, service and ambience are all spot-on- the table salsa, which many restaurants treat as a throwaway is delicious in itself! Careful, you may accidentally fill up on them before your meal arrives. Not saying *cough cough* I know anyone that did that but anyway... I had a Mezcal Sour (they make theirs with 400 Conejos, great Mezcal) and really wanted to try the Huitlacoche Quesadilla (I mainly mention that because I haven't seen Huitlacoche on a menu in SO. LONG. so it was nice to even see it. Saw another table get Cochinita Pibil. Smelled amazing as it went by. If you plan to order it, bring a wheelbarrow for leftovers. That plate was immense. Anyway, I'm one of those terrible people that judges restaurants on doing the classics right the first time, so I ordered Chile Relleno --and they did not disappoint! Comes with a beautiful, fiery salsa over the top (heat avoidant people: you were warned. It's bursting with chile flavor but likewise chile heat. I love it but my friend has the palate of a New Englander and absolutely couldn't handle it.) Wrapped up with a dessert (Mamey Crème Brûlée! Another home run, chef) and a leftovers box. Big shout/out to our server (I failed to get your name! Sorry about that. Lovely smile, strong eyebrow game, great service- you know who you are.) Very recommended. One note: not quick Mexican, this is close to white tablecloth, so consider it for date night!

Nice, pleasant dining experience. Food is good with generous portion sizes. Prices are a bit expensive IMO, but not a bad choice at all.

Just moved to Colorado Springs from SoCal and was craving great Mexican food. I found this place and it was great. Attentive Service, wonderful food and good atmosphere. Definitely will be back.

What a beautiful restaurant this is! We were quickly seated. Our service was outstanding. First off, the salsa for the chips was very flavorful with a bit of heat, just as I like! I ordered the molcajete, and my wife and daughter split an order of chicken fajitas. There was so much food that I didn't even try any dessert. Maybe next time! They have a nice patio area, too.

The absolute BEST Mexican restaurant in Springs. Being from Texas I have eaten at more than my share of Mexican restaurants and this place is a "stand out". The VERY BEST spicy Margaritas and Pineapple Margarita. Great queso and my personal favorites would be chorizo and eggs and port belly tacos.

Milagro's Cocina Mexicana nails it with their authentic Mexican atmosphere and delicious eats. It's like a mini vacation to Mexico without the plane ticket. The vibe, views, and service is amazing. Enough said!
