Absolutely unacceptable experience. I’ve never been treated with such blatant disrespect over something as small as soda. I purchased three canned pops—one for my sister, one for my wife, and the third was literally in the employee’s hand—and was still accused of lying. Yes, lying… over three canned sodas that were clearly on my receipt. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the staff chose to argue and go back and forth with me, as if I had something to gain by making it up. They even counted the drinks I had already handed out, trying to prove a point that didn’t exist. It was honestly embarrassing and incredibly disappointing. The lack of customer service and basic courtesy is astonishing. With so many great options in Royal Oak, there’s no reason to ever return to Milan Pizza. I’ll take my business somewhere that values their customers and knows how to read a receipt. This place has in the past fixed late night cravings. Now has put a horrible taste in my mouth.

Went here for a pizza and garlic bread after hitting the Zoo all day and the food was perfect. The pizza and garlic bread had that slightly charred crust you find at good pizza places, and the food was served quickly. Pizza had plenty of toppings and a nice amount of sauce. Great price, nice atmosphere, the two workers were friendly. Will definitely come back here just for the pizza even though I live 30 minutes out. Edit: There's paid parking on the street and the lot behind the restaurant. But since I went here on a Sunday, the lot parking was free!

I was killing time before a comedy show and needed a quick bite to eat. This place is great. Really good service and very quick. I'd rate the pizza probably a 3.75/5 but If you factor in the service, price and convenience it's definitely a 10.

Terrible. My daughter puked about 30 minutes after eating there. It was our first time. The cook. Which there was only one was rude and didn’t even look at me because he was carrying on a conversation in a different language with a friend standing near the back entrance. The restrooms were disgusting. The walls were dirty. I’m embarrassed to say I even allowed my family to eat their food. I tried to cancel my order right after I placed it. But we were stuck and that was the closet pizza spot. When you place an order they force you to pay over the phone and gave me hard time trying to cancel it. Weird place SO greasy! DRIPPING! I will never go again

Loved the entire experience! First time in Royal Oak and thought this place was welcoming and chill. The food came out in a reasonable time and tasted amazing. The margarita pizza is a fan favorite and rightly so! Would go again if I am in the area and craving a slice!

Literally the BEST place for pizza!! It’s so much different than any other pizza place I’ve ever had and the service is amazing. I drive over 30 minutes just to come here and each time I’m NEVER disappointed. I highly highly highly recommend to everyone!! ❤️

we've gotten probably 50 pizzas from here by now and they're usually really good but recently there's new hires who make the pizzas terribly. they've been dry, thin, and overcooked. this was late night May 2nd.

Favorite place to come after a good night out at the bars the pizza is always yummy! Service is good too.

Slices came right out of the oven right before our comedy show really enjoyed ourselves eating this food. We also ordered a side of onion rings that came with marinara sauce but overall the food was Yum.

Sooo good get the bbq chicken pizza as well as the pepperoni also the slices are huge so keep in mind, i was on one piece for like 10 min

It's a must to eat the pizza fresh out the oven, the crunch is insane! After like 15 min the pizza is mid. Love the late hours.

Ordered a plain cheese slice, it was pretty decent and I didn't have to wait long for it to be ready. The person serving me was nice. Restaurant could've been a little cleaner, but I'd go back again if I was really craving pizza and was in the area.

Where do you get pizza at 1:30 AM? This place! And it's good! You can choose from a full pizza or if you go in, the have plenty of "by the slice" options. I placed a carryout order and it was ready and waiting when I arrived 15 min later to pick it up, despite the crowd. Thin crust...Italian style. The 14" Milan w/extra mushrooms was our pizza of choice.

Absolutely love this place. I don't eat pork and they have a pizza. Call California pizza and it's all meat. Guess what kind of meat? Pepperoni, ham, and sausage. Guess from what kind of animal? Cow and turkey! Yes, safe for those who don't eat pig. They make the crust and it's so good! The large is pretty large, not like a chain large. I plan on going there for the rest of my life lol. People are nice and constantly moving, making more pizza and they're friendly.

This is a really nice Pizzeria. It's very family-friendly and offers dining service as well as carry out. They have a full menu, but also offer various slices to go. It has a somewhat Old Time Pizza Parlor feel to it, which makes for great ambiance. The slice I grabbed was very good. The crust, both bottom and top, was slightly crisp with a little chew to it. The toppings were generous. It also was not overly saucy. The customer service was attentive and fast. I found it to be a little pricey, but not overly so. The price for a slice was $4.26, with tax. However, the size of the slice I received was very generous. And I was able to share it between two people. Parking is a little difficult, but that is par the course in that area. I'll definitely come back and try a custom Pizza based on the slice I had.

The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere always feels relaxed. Everybody works hard, gets your food to you on time, and I haven't once had an order done wrong. The pizza itself tastes delicious every time. It's my favorite place to go in downtown Royal Oak. They are always playing good music too. The vibes are immaculate

My go to spot for great pizza! You can order online, it's ready quickly, and it's consistently excellent. They're also open late:)

dont order delivery didnt bring me my full order also left it in the rain and no notification they dropped it off waited 50 mins for a cold and wet pizza called to make a complaint and was given a response they cant do anything about it im sorry. im sorry i wasted my money on this place will never be eating here again. also wont give me my refund when i contacted customer service on there app this place is a joke

This is a great place to grab a big slice of gourmet slices of pizza. My husband loves stopping by and grabbing a slice for lunch regularly and the staff here is friendly. It's great that they can make custom mix pies. I didn't have pizza in Milan but if it had tasted as good as this place, would be a good thing. This is a good quick spot for folks working downtown or passing by to get a quick yummy slice.

I ordered through doordash. Not expecting much BUT I don't get home from work until midnight and I realize that I have no food that I want. I did a Cheese "make your own" Omg it was AMAZING! The crust was perfect. The toppings were perfect. I did get some wings too. I'm Not even a wing girl but I thought I should order something else. As others said, they were fatty. But I would absolutely order from them again!

One bite everyone knows the rules. If you order well done there's no flop. Flavor wise it's like a few steps above Chuck E. Cheese's, but sometimes you want that simple basic pizza. I'll give it a 6.1

It was late at around 2am, I ordered two pizzas. Although late, it took over an hour to get two pepperoni pizzas. For a fact, I saw over 5 other orders of people that ordered behind us get filled before our 2 pepperoni pizzas. Fucking ridiculous and I will never step foot in this establishment ever again. Ended up paying like $25 for a 6.27/10 pizza. Fucking atrocious for how long we waited and how much we paid compared to the end product.

We had the pizza and garlic bread. The pizza smells great but the sauce is mostly some acid taste and not much else. The garlic bread was good. The pizza crust was good. Fast service. Decent prices. Nothing to go out of your way for.

I ordered it for delivery on a Saturday night. Felt it was kind of expensive, but it's royal oak and you generally get what you pay for... so I thought. Pizza was undercooked and underwhelming. Very doughy. I've had one slice and I think I'm going to throw it in my oven. Garlic Bread: nothing special here. It's the same if you went to meijer, bought a bag, added cheese/garlic powder and stuck it in my oven for a few minutes.. This was flash frozen, soggy bread with a huge markup. Sorry Milan, there's just better options in the area!

I ordered late at night. Yeah my expectations weren't super high, it's a Friday night, late af, and I ordered. They were incredibly busy and I honestly didn't expect to have my order ready by the time that I showed up. But they were super busy cranking out slices. They handled every guest perfectly, and they all did an incredibly good job. Usually out of everything I would've ranked them a five, but it just boils down to the actual ingredients they put into the pizza and I'm gonna give it a four, because it's good but it's not anything that I'm ever going to crave, there's nothing special about it, it's just pizza. It's good pizza! But there's just nothing special about it. And let me say, before anybody judges my review or thinks twice about ordering this, go ahead and order it. It's really really good pizza... it's not life-changing pizza, but it's definitely worth your time, and these dudes actually care about what's going on inside the pizzeria. Literally the only thing that separated my decision between 4 and 5 stars is the ingredients and the oven. Cheers dudes, thank you for some great za.

Best place to eat in the entirety of Royal Oak. Kind wait staff, great hours. Piping hot pizza.

Stopped in to grab a quick pizza. They seem to have a lot of pizza varieties and even offer an extra large size. I ordered a large cheese pizza, yeah boring I know, but surprisingly good. The size of their large is pretty big compared to standard pizza carryouts. The only thing I would say is the interior of the restaurant is a little dark It seems to be more of a carryout place, nonetheless I would go here again next time I'll try a different pizza.

I appreciate the size of the salads & the customization options, however the lettuce to other topping ratio was embarrassingly imbalanced - like no one eats that much lettuce... The pizza is super doughy & lots of cheese. Not a huge fan of the crust. Pies are really big!

Leave it to my boyfriend to eat dinner .... and then be hungry for pizza not even a half hour later. We stopped into Milan after we left Ferndale. We were hoping to get some Oreo Cheesecake from Astoria across the street, but sadly they were out that evening. Before we continued on our night, we stopped into Milan for a slice of Za! I loved how easily you could read the menu. The guy working was great and made conversation while he made us a slice (cheese and pepperoni) fresh. Overall we stayed here about 5 minutes and the slice was LARGE. Easily enough for a couple to share. Taste wasn't bad. Price was great!

Very disappointed. I never review anything since I'm not a picky eater. But damn! These wings are so sad and the pizza is even worse. I wish they were Amazon so I could request a refund. I'd rather eat 8 decade-old McDoubles than take another bite of this waste of a cheat meal. Look at the pics to see for yourself. You can see the layer of lard surrounding the chicken. And the pizza can also be used as a cutting board.

I've passed this place since they've opened, always doubting it because how tacky it looks. Today after a long time of continuous passing it and doubting it, I finally stopped in. I wanted to get a slice as to not commit to wasting money and being disappointed in a whole pizza. I kept it simple and got a cheese slice. My belief is that if a pizzeria can't properly make a cheese pizza, they can't make anything right. It lacked in flavor wholly, from the sauce to the dough.It all fell flat. I have had liquor store pizza that is superior to this place that is well, a pizzeria. For $3 and some change, the size of the slice was the only satisfactory part in the whole experience. I will most definitely not be returning nor would I recommend it to the worst of my enemies. I am not a drinker but I will say, if you're hammered to the point just shy of alcohol poisoning and you're in Downtown Royal Oak and it's late...this is your place.

I'm going to rate this 3 stars since the food was ice cold. We thought it would have tasted much better if delivery through Grubhub did not take an hour and a half. It wasn't the delivery - it literally took 15 minutes once the driver was assigned the order. The order sat in the restaurant for at least an hour. I just don't understand that. Once we reheated the food - The onion rings were terrible. The calzone was tasty - it would be worth trying again if served hot. The garlic bread was nothing special. Finally I would add the food is way overpriced.

OK Frankie, everybody knows the rules... Barstool needs to come here. I am not a fan of by-the-slice pizza places however, this place is awesome. Great crust. This is a thin crust by-the-slice place that makes great pizza. Kind of surprising. You can carry out or dine in. Nice place with higher end build out. Atmosphere: good feel. Nice build out. Has a chain type feel. Service: seems family owned and they take pride. Friendly service. Pizza: surprisingly good. Crust is fantastic. Good sauce. Quality cheese. Not greasy. Not floppy. Not cheap. Overall: some of the best thin crust pizza in town. Better than Supinos.

While the pizza was decent, one of the guys in the back was loud to the point where it was extremely difficult to enjoy the pizza. He's got his AirPods on and was yelling the whole time I was in the store. Price could also be better, $4 a slice is a little too much for a mediocre pizza

The BEST pizza I've EVER EATEN! Fresh everything cooked to perfection. They have great sandwiches too. Prices aren't bad and they offer halal meats. Also open late and they sell by the slice! Only place we go :).

I got a calzone. It was definitely decent. Really salty. If I was hosting a party it'd be a really good idea by the way they cut it up. A tad bit annoying how meats count as two of the three toppings they give you for something's that's nearly $16 for a small. The food came out rather quickly. The wait staff isn't that friendly. I'll give it another try for a party. I also want to try a normal pie.

The rudest owner ever cancelled my order after patiently waiting over 2 hours because I called to ask the status of my delivery. I was still charged yet they didn't show up until 4 hours later! Yes I promise you it was 4 hours later. He thinks because he is open late that people owe him and he's doing a favor to his customers...but really if you don't get food after an hour and a half...it's going to be gross and cold and you are going to wish you went to Taco Bell instead. Yes Mr owner I have the right spot. It was last week.

This is THE BEST pizza in royal oak. They also have amazing wings and deliver very fast. We've chosen to order from them over other familiar chain pizza joints because the ingredients are better and has a New York style flavor. We are glad they're in the neighborhood. The individual slices are always fresh and convenient if you just happen to be walking by them in downtown. Please choose to order and support local businesses!

Seriously $60 for my order (delivered through Grub Hub) But the food, is NOT. Good. $22 freaking dollars for a "margarita" pizza and comes with 10 wings that are soooo cooked through you can't even bite into it! How can you even charge $22 for this pizza? (See attached photos) Tomatoes Apizza blows this place away. The garlic cheese bread was stale and didn't have cheese on half of it! Grub hub will say it's the pizza places fault and vv I'm sure, but I'll update otherwise. NEVER EVER order from here.

Garlic bread was okay, but the amount of cheese (or lack thereof ) was was hilariously stingy. Pizza was big but mediocre. Not bad, but not really worth $30 for two pieces of french bread, a bland pizza, and a 2-liter Overall, meh.

My friend and I tried out this pizzeria last night. We did the delivery through Grubhub; it arrived early which was nice. We ordered the 16in pizza with pepperoni and feta cheese, IT WAS SOOO GOOD! We loved the large slices and the sauce was delicious! We also tried the garlic cheese bread with marinara and ranch. We honestly weren't fans of the bread or the ranch sauce which is why I am giving a four star instead of five star rating. All in all this was a good place for a relaxing Sunday night. I will certainly be a return customer.

Must try! Great pizza by the slice.. they deliver whole pizzas and others items also! Seems family owned .. let's see to it that this place sticks around!! I got 2 large slices and a pop for 8 bucks.. the service was fast and very helpful! Enjoy!!

I really wanted to love this pizza! When I saw it being renovated I was thrilled, then when I saw the name "Milano Pizza," I was sure I was going to love a different kind of pizza in the area. They did a great job remodeling the place and it's all set for quick service pizza, but, they just aren't there. The pizza is pretty much all pre-made and ready to warm up in the oven, which is fine if you're Supinos. This pizza is just too thick and doughy without anything that sets it apart from Sbarro's in the mall. I really hate to give a mediocre review because the owners seem like really nice people and I think they are trying. But, unfortunately this isn't a place I would frequent at all. If you can get your recipe down to some killer pizza, I'm talking cheesy, gooey, greasy, delicious pizza...you'll have a gold mine with the late crowd for sure and a GoTo spot for pizza.

Saw this pizzeria while walking along Main Street with my grandson and was looking for a new restaurant to try in Royal Oak. This particular establishment sells hot/fresh pizza by the slice as well as pizza made to order. As I was in a rush on this day, I ended up getting a single slice of Deluxe pizza that was quite large and was just the right size for Lunch at a very reasonable cost of $4. As the greater Detroit area has a lot of very good pizzeria's in the area, I found this Pizza to be a bit on the average side. The price and and the amount of food you get for $4 was outstanding and the Pizza, though visually appealing, just had a very pedestrian taste about it. Relative to the restaurant itself, it is a very casual setting that has sort of an industrial feel to it where all the tables have a view of the pizza prep area and large Pizza oven which I like. With the location being right in the middle of Downtown it has a lot of competition in the area where I see its big strength being ready made pizza by the slice for those folks that need to grab a quick bite while doing their business in Royal Oak.

This was our first time in here this past weekend. In my opinion it's a much needed addition to downtown royal oak. The ease and convenience of selling pizza by the slice is always a plus if you're strolling around town. The interior is very clean and the pizza we had was actually very good. They have plenty of seating, offer by the slice, full pizzas, and a pretty extensive menu as well with wings, sandwiches, calzones, etc. They deliver around the vicinity which is nice also. Based on our experience, we'd definitely be willing to give them a shot at delivery as an alternative to the traditional larger chains we think of. The soccer themed interior, fair prices, and nice staff who greeted us upon entry give this place a nice review. I do recommend!

Amazing Pizzeria. I would highly recommend checking this place out although it is more expensive than most of the other pizzas I've experienced in Michigan. I would definitely rate this in my top five, but don't come here expecting to not spend a good chunk of change. It was nearly $30 for a medium pizza with breadsticks and a fountain drink and a 12-ounce soda. Still very worth it.

Manger wasn't cooperative when trying to make simple accommodations after ordering food that was paid for. A hungry family is dissatisfied with the service of Milan. I spoke with the manager and he denied my simple request. A good business would have accompanied my request.
