I booked a table yesterday before heading back to France, and it was one of the best meals I've ever had at a restaurant. I highly recommend trying the pistachio cheesecake! As a vegetarian, I was glad I could enjoy everything on the menu, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in London.

Emma Ford

Google
The staff were incredibly helpful and genuinely lovely, such a warm welcome. Honestly, the food was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The Caesar salad was fresh and full of flavor, and the white chocolate tiramisu was absolutely divine! I’m already looking forward to coming back to London and working my way through the rest of the menu.

Google
I do love a Mildred’s chain. The food is always amazing and it’s pretty good vibes. It is a bit spenny but what do you expect in London! Will always come back 🫶

Google
The staff were so friendly and accommodating, they made sure I had plenty of room to move around and that I was comfortable. The menu isn't huge but there's certainly enough choice. The food was fresh and tasty although I wish I had ordered a burger and not the kimchi dish. Next time! I really liked the decor. The accessible toilet was large and clean.

Jonathan Winston

Google
Really good vegan food. Great choice of original dishes. I've taken lots of photos for you to decide.

Google
Excellent savory dishes for vegans and not only… amazing! Desserts good if you like abundance. Would totally recommend and we’ll be back very soon.

Google
The Korean chickn burger was spectacular. Every texture you want was present, and the lemon pepper chips with garlic aioli makes your tongue tingle. Drooling a bit just remembering them. The sticky toffee pudding with ice cream, pistachios, raspberry pieces, and saffron cream felt like pure luxury. The hostess and servers were really friendly and helpful, a 10/10 experience all around.

Yelp
Mildreds is that vegan spot that will blow your minds! Everything is plant based and so so good!! The vibe is effortlessly cool, cozy-chic interiors, friendly staff. We shared the kimchi gyoza and it's the perfect bite. The flavours are on point in addition, I ordered the Mexican enchiladas and my friend ordered the skewers and honestly? It deserves its own fan club. Rich, vibrant, and packed with flavours! They were so good! It's unbelievable that it's all vegan. For dessers, try the crème brûlée and the white chocolate tiramisu it's the best!! Mildreds is just awesome! That's it! You're not going to regret dining here. Loved it l. Our server was super helpful with recommendations. I think that Mildreds is a must whether you're vegan, veg-curious, or just someone who appreciates good food. Highly recommend

Yelp
I visit Mildred's every time I visit London and it never disappoints! The small plate braised cabbage had such a lovely texture and the fried shallots gave it a nice crunch, a dish packed with flavor. The small plate arancini rossi was amazing! I typically don't like mushroom but I would order this over and over again. The kimchi bokkeumbap was my favorite out of the two larger dishes. There was a nice spice due to the gochujang and kimchi. Would definitely reorder. The kiri hodi was yummy and the mint chutney was a great part of the dish! I order the bread as an extra but the name is missing me, ask the waitress and they can let you know! It goes great with the curry. The ambiance is always nice! It's so pretty on the inside, I highly recommend snapping a couple of photos. Oh! They also currently have a Veganuary menu

Yelp
Mildreds was one of the first vegan restaurants I went to in London when I first visited the city in 2017 and it will be a place I return to every time I am there! They make amazing and creative vegan dishes with thoughtfully-prepared ingredients (roasted artichokes in a kale Caesar salad are *chef's kiss*), and their cocktail offerings are *superb*! Plus, the people working there are always very kind and fun. Would recommend for vegans and non-vegans alike!

Yelp
I've been to Mildred's in Kings Cross a couple times now and have had great experiences, and most importantly, delicious food! This location is conveniently just a short walk from the station area. It's got a lot of seating inside, as well as a small outdoor patio. The staff are very attentive and helpful in recommending items if you're having trouble choosing. They have a quite large selection of drinks to choose from, everything from beer to wine to cocktails and mocktails. My partner really enjoyed two of the latter. I personally had the Soho pale both times, and as the can states, it does go great with food. Speaking of which, the portions and flavours are ample. I've either had or tried the bibimbap bowl, korean burger, nachos, and bangers and mash. Really, everything was quite lovely, though I think I was most partial to the burgers and bangers. Will definitely comeback when I'm next in town, or maybe check out some of their many other locations.

Yelp
Extremely high-quality, creative, all-vegan restaurant that is sure to satisfy. We stopped in for lunch after arriving into town, as it's super close to King's Cross station. The place is beautifully set up, with a nice outside seating area as well. They have an expansive menu, including some nice brunch items if you visit on a weekend before 3pm. So my wife ordered their classic brunch and I ordered their thali brunch (£14 each). We were both super impressed with everything about each of our meals. Each item was thoughtfully designed and all the items went well together. We finished off the meal with a S'nickers fudge cake (£7) to split, which was pretty delectable. Top-notch service, great environment, and excellent food. What more could you ask for? It's a little pricy but for the quality of the food and overall experience, it's worth it. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Literal Flavourtown. I usually order a burger at a vegan restaurant but if you're like me, force yourself to try something new here -- esp the sweet potato curry. The staff was nice to let me add a side of fried tofu to my meal for an extra price ($5/£2.50ish). The cappuccino with almond milk was nice to have before the meal. Curry was amazing! This was the first time I've had a large lemon peel cooked into the meal so I had to google whether this was garnish or safe to eat! it was fantastic though

Yelp
Excellent vegan restaurant. My wife had the nachos while I had the sausage and mash as well as the coleslaw. Really tasty and would definitely return if we lived in London.

Yelp
I am so glad that we made it to Mildreds on our recent trip to London. It was a great experience, and the food was good enough that I wish I could go there for dinner tonight, too. We were seated promptly upon arrival, and the service was at a good pace throughout the meal. We started with an appetizer of olives and breads, and they were fresh and tasty. Our entrees were even better. My friend did a falafel plate, and she said it was very good. I had a mushroom and ale pie with a side of chips that was probably my best meal in London. I would love to have it again right now in fact! I have no complaints at all about this restaurant and highly recommend it to vegetarians and vegans looking for a good meal in London.

Yelp
Very good vegan/vegetarian restaurant that serves dishes from different cultures. I saw burritos, falafels, and curry along with takes on traditional British fares on the menu. The place was busy on a Sunday night with only seats available at the bar when I came by. It looked like different parties were sharing tables in the dining room also. The vibe combined with the diner felt like a Hipster diner. The crowd was mostly people in their twenties that could pass for being university students. The place looked like a modern hipster diner. The food itself was pretty good. I ordered the wild mushroom pie which looked like mushroom soup between two pastry puffs and came with mashed peas and Belgian-cut fries. The food was tasty without a hint of spice which I found common this area. Prices seemed higher than what I can get home but we are in London. There is also a 12.5% optional service charge that comes with the bill. The service was quick and straight like a diner, almost to the point of fast food.

Jan L.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants for vegetarian food. The place is beautiful and the food is great.

Yelp
Mildreds, where have you been in my life? I'd never heard of this place until a London friend who is (obviously) more veggie-savvy than me took me there for dinner. What a fantastic menu - sooo many yummy things! After much soul-searching, I decided to try the Tokyo bowl with black rice, purple pickled egg, miso-glazed aubergine and edamame. Now aubergine is my least favourite vegetable, but hey, let's broaden our horizons a little, shall we? Or maybe it was the idea of eating purple and black food? Well, I wasn't disappointed. I don't know if it was the miso glaze or the ginger and spring onions, but this aubergine was a hit in my book! It looked so delicious that I completely forgot about taking a picture to upload. There was just enough room for dessert, so I opted for the dark chocolate brownie with caramel sauce, which as a bonus comes with vegan ice cream - huzzah! Let me tell you, "brownie" is too insufficient a word to describe this slab of crumbly chocolatey taste sensation. Just divine. Full marks from me - this place is definitely going on my London favourites list.

Yelp
Truly delicious as usual. And I wasn't disappointed by the Crème Brûlée as the last couple of visits I've been seduced away by their next level pancakes. Well worth the wait.

Allison T.

Yelp
Delicious plant-based foods where you don't have to be a vegetarian to enjoy. Love visiting all their different locations.

Yelp
The tofu burger was my favorite. The patty was delicious and I'm still trying to figure out how they can make tofu taste so good. It was juicy, and had a nice balance of flavors. This restaurant is more spacious than the other location in Soho. They have communal style tables for large groups, and outdoor seating for when the weather is tolerable. Nice ambiance and good music. We stopped by on a rainy day and had a late lunch by the bar since we did not want to wait for a table. Staff were polite and attentive. Great place for a quick vegan lunch if your in the area. They even have a full bar, however limited selection when it comes to beers!

Yelp
Delicious vegan food. Yes that's right, I just wrote that sentence. Mildreds is able to pull off what carnivores fear most about eating vegetarian / vegan food, the taste! After dining here, you won't miss meat or go hungry at all. With a small restaurant, there is generally a wait at dinner time. However once your entire party arrives, you will be seated. Ambiance was a bit loud, as there are a few shared tables, so prepare to shout to hear the conversation. However, you won't feel crowded or pressed for space. Our party shared the gyoza and guacamole with corn chips. Guac and chips was pretty standard, salted. The gyoza was packed with such flavour that I thought it had pork in it but it was all vegetables. Great dipping sauce too. Then came the mains of a halloumi burger for my partner, which was thick and delicious. Loaded with cheesy goodness and sauces to dress up the burger. Sweet potato fries were also divine, cooked perfectly. I had the kimchi loaded noodle soup with thick, fried tofu and bok choy. The greens could have been cut as they were difficult to eat with chopsticks but everything else was a beautiful symphony. Absolutely satisfying. Lastly was the all-vegan pumpkin pie, which our table shared. Topped with a non-dairy whipped cream, it was smooth and delicious. We were all impressed! I would definitely return for another tasty meal, with or without a vegetarian at the table.

Yelp
Food and atmosphere was so lovely. Tai our server was so helpful and kind with good recs and excellent service.

Yelp
This place is so good! And they are absolutely lovey! Everything tasted amazing, I got the meatball pasta and a fresh baked cookie! I can't wait to come back

Yelp
This place is awesome. I love the vibes and the food. The staff is super awesome and obviously everything is vegan (unless stated otherwise). I came here twice to try as much as I could and all of it was amazingly good. The soul bowl and fake chicken burger were for sure my favorite. The grilled artichoke was really good as well, though it was a little pricey for the small amount. I'll be back here for sure!
google avatar

Yelp
We love this place, searching for a nice vegan meal after a long flight this place did it for us. Highly recommended!!! The staff and music is lovely :)

Yelp
I'm so happy with my choice .. the dinner was delightful and so was the desert options gluten free and vegan !! A win win

Yelp
I was on the lookout for a vegan friendly restaurant and Mildreds was close by and came highly recommended. Apparently there is a big difference between the different branches, I've only ever been to this one though. I really enjoyed the food here, so many delicious choices and every dish is flavourful and fresh. I'd recommend sharing a selection of dishes as you get to sample a larger variety. Staff were very friendly and helpful as well. Definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
Wife, son, and I first night in London was complimented by a delish dinner at Mildreds. We both ordered the BBQ chix sandwich with fries and a Pina Colada as our drink. Both were delish and we were satisfied. The hostess and 2 waitresses that served us were very nice with a sense of humor. I would definitely go back and recommend to all visiting this side of London.
google avatar

Steve H.

Yelp
Bean soup hot and perfect. Fries thick happy and good. Corn bread outstanding. Chix faux pretty good. Bun could be just a bit better. Falafel good. Good sauces. Thanks.

Yelp
Made my way to Mildred's from King's Cross, walking -- and passed as I was on the opposite side of the street and their signage is a bit smaller than the giant BBQ/meat place adjacent. Finally found the restaurant and it was quite nice inside - elegant and clean. Service was quite good - food was enjoyable - I had a Summer salad and an appetizer with a glass of wine. The salad was described as an asparagus salad so I was a bit surprised that there seemed to be less than one entire stalk of asparagus in the salad. The fried tofu and soba noodle appetizer was excellent - great flavors and well balanced, just the right amount of food for a late afternoon lunch. Total bill was about 20GBP -- fairly reasonable.

Brian B.

Yelp
Awesome taste and attention. The dish is creamy coconut & curry leaf sauce, potato, green beans, tomato, and much more

Yelp
I'm honestly disappointed with this place as I came with high expectations and a friend's reco. Even independent of these however this place was extremely overrated. We went for a Sat brunch and ordered 3 different dishes as we were hungry. However they failed with all 3 and the service was mostly poor: - Despite us asking for the sweet waffle dis to come out after teh savory dishes, it all arrived at the same time - Our coffee came with no sugar or cream on the side and when we asked for cream the waitress didn't understand what we wanted...even when we just said 'milk'. - The 'Big' breakfast was just an average breakfast and certainly not big - The Waffle and faux chicken looked extremely lackluster and the chicken was overcooked, small in strip size, and mostly crumbs and hard - Finally the sweet Blueberry waffles looked underwhelming (flat and small) with too much sauce on top This meal kinda ruined my love for waffles that need to be big and fluffy. Instead we got flappy, dense waffles that were noweher near filling. Oh and the creme de la creme was that our extra egg we ordered came way after we finished our savory dishes. We shared with the waitress that we were not that impressed with the waffles but she didn't seem to really care and certainly didn't offer any adjustment. It was also terrible of them to charge a 15% service charge which explains the uncaring, poor service (we must have waited 25 mins for our bill and finally needed to ask another waitress for it. Why is everyone so gung-ho about this place? I don't get it...
google avatar

Yelp
Yay for Mildred's. It has hard to make choices (I don't think you can go wrong) I had the giant bowl of wonderful Soul Bowl which was really good and I watched others eat amazing dishes. I was too full for dessert this first go around. But I will be back! Image of the (poorly named) mock tail that was very refreshing. Yes. I'll be back for dessert and alcohol
google avatar

Yelp
This is one of the best restaurants i have been to in London, food was delicious and arrived quickly, staff was friendly and gracious. Would highly recommend for anyone staying in London. I have been here multiple times and have gotten the fake chicken burger and the soul bowl along with sweet potato fries.
google avatar

Roy G.

Yelp
Rarely give our 5 stars to places. I have tried the Soho branch before and this was my first time at the Kings Cross venue. It is modern and airy, good ambience. The menu isn't too large, and there is a good range of vegetarian and vegan options as well as substitutions to make dishes vegan or gluten free. Our tofu burger was very good, nice flavour and not boring. Home made hummus and pita bread was yummy. The Miso aubergine wasn't cooked all the way through and the flavour too bland. Maybe avoid that. Good option for vegetarians.
google avatar

Sunny K.

Yelp
So thrilled to see that a new Mildred's has opened up! The one in Soho is great but always so busy and ends up feeling cramped. This branch is light, airy and feels very SoCal. I had the tostadas for brunch (of course!) and my date had the tagine, which I thought was a bold choice ;) Both were awesome, and flavoured fantastically. We didn't stay for dessert, but I'll have to come back, for sure!
google avatar

Melanie M.

Yelp
On my last visit to London, my vegan friends brought me to Mildred's for a going away dinner for one of their friends going back to Australia. I'm a vegetarian, so I'm always excited to try new vegetarian/vegan places. Upon entering, we had to wait about 20m for a table (since there were 6 of us and they take don't reservations). Since I was full from eating Pho earlier, I only ordered drinks and a "pudding" (their version of dessert). Their Pear Martini was amazing (I had 2) and their plum, blackberry, apple and vanilla polenta crumble was so delicious I ended up finishing it all. Although I wasn't able to try their mains, my friends ordered a beet burger and their tofu bangers and mash(?) which looked amazing. Overall very delicious food and would absolutely be back.
google avatar

Colleen S.

Yelp
I'm in absolute heaven when dining here. I've been many times and am never disappointed. Every meal is presented beautifully, priced reasonably, and incredibly flavorful. I'm a vegan but I've been with meat eaters who have also loved it. Don't be scared off if you eat meat, the food is incredible. The staff is lovely and attentive. PS, best brunch (tostada) and vegan (n)ice cream I have ever had.
google avatar

Danelle B.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food. A vegan paradise that everyone would love. The flavors are amazing.
google avatar

Lisa Z.

Yelp
Let me just start this by saying I'm not a vegan or vegetarian and decided to give this a try. It was great food and appetizers with a nice setting, I completely recommend it. For reference I got the Mexican bowl and the guacamole and chips

Rob S.

Yelp
Pretty good food and service. I wanted to give them four stars, but chose to average Quality of food ***** Quantity *** Beer - in cans for God's sake * Cocktails * (ridiculously priced for what you get) Service *****
google avatar

Amber G.

Yelp
The BEST vegan & vegetarian food around! They promptly seated us and were very friendly and welcoming. We are visiting from California and will definitely be back the next time we visit London.
google avatar

Jodie B.

Yelp
Oh dear, I loved Mildred's! Fantastic veggie food, REALLY great servers (which seems unusual in London) and a nice wine list. What more can you ask for on a gal's night out?
google avatar

Dominique C.

Yelp
The vegan food is so amazing I bought the cook book right after eating there. I had the chicken katsu bowl and sampled a friend's dishes.
google avatar

Evan C.

Yelp
What a nice find in the King's Cross area! Being a vegan back in Texas isn't always easy, so I was glad to come across this restaurant. The restaurant itself was quite busy at lunch time, but I was seated soon. The staff was very friendly. They had plenty of unique options on the menu, which all looked good. The food came out fast and it was delicious. I would definitely come back.
google avatar

Alixandra R.

Yelp
I've been here twice and both times it has been a nice surprise. The first time we didn't eat a meal and just had a few drinks and nibbles - the drinks are very nice. The second time I came for dinner and had a Sri Lankan sweet potato curry which was so delicious and probably really healthy. This place is very popular and so it can be busy and loud, but then it doesn't lack atmosphere. I'm not really a fan of communal tables for dining but I accept that it's part of the experience. I'll be back to try out some of the other things on the menu that have been recommended by friends.
google avatar

Todd L.

Yelp
Go here. Eat their food, it's yummy. The staff is totally switched on, great service even when jammin' busy on a Saturday night. And it's a great atmosphere. But beware, their main ingredient is oil, and lots-n-lots-n lots of it ...in everything. You're certainly not any slimmer and no better off there, health-wise, than stopping in at the Honest Burger down the street. Given the link between oil and diabetes, cancer and chronic illnesses, it's a strange choice. And besides, all this oil splashing about masks the real taste and freshness of things. Guacamole swimming in olive oil, really? Can't we just taste the avocado? Faux-chicken, what's that about? Please ...sweet potato fries, ketchup and vegan mayo, cashew and pistachio sauces? Yikes, that'll clog you up in more than one way and keep the extra weight on. The menu is a missed opportunity, and I would love to see them change up. They do many things right. I appreciate their organic wines by the glass. But, at least for some of the dishes, drip the olive oil rather than spill n soak, roast those sweet potatoes, pumpkins and yams. Try relying on an inventive giso/sofrito. Sprinkle the tumeric, pepper and cumin, fresh cilantro, ginger and chillies, baste with fresh garlic paste; fresh intact grains, grill more and fry less. We're grown ups, we can handle it :)
google avatar

Hannah L.

Yelp
The food was amazing and so filling. I highly recommend the sweet potato curry (vegan and gluten free) - it was so delicious and creamy. Definitely worth a visit - I went on Monday at 7pm and it was easy to get a table.
google avatar

Victoria A.

Yelp
Food was average, there's many more vegan/vegetarian restaurants in London that serve better food. Burger was on a focaccia bun, which made it difficult to eat. The ranch dressing tastes nothing at all like ranch. And the service was very slow. Wouldn't go back.

H V.

Yelp
You go here if you love food. It is just even better with all the vegan and gluten free options. Incredible. The best was the Sweet Potato Green Curry.
google avatar

Ankit S.

Yelp
Great vegan food and great service. Try their burrito. The food was very yummy. They also serve breakfast but we could not make it. Thank you for being awesome.

Kat S.

Yelp
Lovely place! The staff are all super friendly and welcoming. It was busy when I visited with a friend (around 1:30pm) but the seating host found us a table and we ordered drinks which were brought quickly. He also brought over tap water in a jug with glasses as soon as we sat down so we already had a drink. The menue is nice, and I had the mushroom and ale pie which was extremely delicious and filling! I've also previously had the curry which was also great. They also do a wonderful vegan chocolate cake type dessert which is scrumptious. I would definitely visit again, however more vegan mains would be great. It would be nice to have 7/8 mains to choose from. However I know the menues change sometimes and they bring out different dishes. The chips there were also excellent. All round good experience and happy vegan customer here. Great food, didn't take too long for it to arrive, nice place, nice staff!
