Mile High Cocktail Club

Such a fun collaboration between Handshake Speakeasy, the world’s best cocktail bar in Mexico City, and the Four Seasons Chicago! This “cocktail club” speakeasy is located on the 46th floor in a converted old hotel suite, and is just such a gem. While the cocktail prices are high (although not quite as high as you’ll see people say online) you are paying for an experience and you definitely do get one. From the initial introductory champagne to getting the key to go up to the bar to the interior aesthetic of the bar itself and of course, the views, everything is done wonderfully. The staff are the perfect amount of friendly and engaging while also knowing when to back off. Everything was perfect on the service end as you would expect at a Four Seasons. But you’re here for the drinks and I’m thrilled to say my glowing review is really because of this aspect of the experience. Every drink was just so good. We tried a bunch and I don’t feel the need to list them all, but the Caprese cocktail and the Apples cocktail were both superb standouts among a group of all fantastic drinks. Coco Bongo and the Butter Mushroom Old Fashioned (shown) were both also so fun. If you can stomach the price of a few expensive cocktails, this experience will not disappoint.

This little popup speakeasy was fun! The Olive Oil Gimlet was delightful. The drink was very complex in flavor, I loved it. Well done!

The staff was so beyond friendly and made us feel special celebrating our anniversary. They took so many pictures of us. While we were waiting for our table, we got complimentary bubbles from Adorn, the hotel's bar. The collaboration with Handshake, the best bar from Mexico City, is sublime. The matcha yuzu, earl grey, mushroom old fashioned (sounds odd but is beyond smooth and delicious, and the cariño were some of the best specialized cocktails my husband and I have ever had. The mini espresso martini and mezcal negroni were delicious. Already booked our reservation to come back! The speakeasy itself has amazing views and is decorated so beautifully. The collab ends March 31st, you have to go check it out before it ends. We did the 2 course cocktail, but theres an option for 3. It is on the pricier side but it is worth checking out before it ends!

Service was a bit slow. Drinks were very interesting, but very well crafted! Appetizers were very good, thought out, and were able to be modified to be gluten free. Very cool atmosphere, decor, and lighting. A very romantic and intimate spot to have some drinks with an amazing view.

What drew me here was the fact that it's currently rated best bar in the world by "Worlds 50 best". Place was expensive to say the least. 4 cocktails plus service fees are $200. Most of the drinks were extremely good one however wasn't enjoyable which was the butter old fashioned. But the Matcha was the star of the night. It's worth mentioning I'm not a gimlet guy but this one was delicious. Service is friendly & attentive as they'll make sure you're enjoying your drinks & are ready to take as many pictures as you request

Knocked it out of the park again. I absolutely love coming to this super low key speakeasy in the Four Seasons! If you're not coming when Jeremy and Marcus are there were you really even there? Jeremy is an amazing host and mixologist! I would even argue one of the best in the City. The low key nature of the space is especially attractive when you want to be out and have cocktail but don't want to be overwhelmed with some of the other speakeasy style bars that have become so over popular. This space is truly such a unique value to the Four Seasons I hope they keep it during the winter months and continue to grow and create new concepts/spaces. I look forward to coming each time and indulging in the experience.

This place is dumb. You pay $85 a drink for liquor you can get at the grocery store. There is nothing special about this location, it's mediocre and full of cringe.

Atmosphere was fine. We go to the main lobby bar and Adorn almost weekly and are always happy. That said, this pop up bar was a big disappointment. The water was undrinkable (glasses must have ben removed from washed mid cycle) and the server walked away saying "a lot of people aren't used to Chicago water". We all live within 6 blocks of the Four Seasons. The drinks were very light. The glasses had enormous single cubes, making little room for the drinks. It is not worth even close to the $123 pp. Maybe for non Chicagoans wanting a sliver of a view of Michigan avenue it might be worth 1/2 that price.

The service and the experience was amazing! Great date night environment. The cocktails weren't really our style because many of them were on the sweeter side but it was fun to try.

The drinks were great! Jeremy was a great bartender. We tried nearly all the cocktails on the menu. Ask about a drink before ordering it. And try to book at or before sunset for a great view.

It was good little pricey. Im not a smoker. They have hookah's there so not vibe. We went right when it opened. They were not serving in the bar I probably will not go back. Great music

Jokingly expensive. Just overcharging you based off the Handshake "collab". Not even a comfortable space. They are charging that much for Bombay gin and bar snacks from trader joes. I mean you could ask for the cheap plastic bubble-making gun shower if you really want your moneys worth. Go get it!

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this place. Although the views were great and the night started off strong, I've never been treated more disrespectfully by a server in my life. Ryder, our server, was so unbelievably rude and condescending to my husband, myself, and my friends. He was so rude that the manager, Julia, had to step in. Although she did apologize for his behavior, she sat there and watched him treat us with such a high level of disrespect and did not say anything to Ryder. She said "he's out of control and I didn't want to make him act worse". I am still in awe that a manger at a place of this caliber can just witness these actions and respond in the way she did. In addition, the price is not worth what you recommend. We pre-paid about $80/person for two cocktails. We had no option on the first cocktail, it was a champagne base drink. We had the option to choose the second cocktail. All drinks were priced in the menu ~$20-$30. My husband ordered a drink from the menu (that we prepaid) and they told him it was going to be an up charge. The price was NOT told to us or listed in the menu. At the end, Ryder gave us a bill for $254 for one single drink. When we asked him about the price, he laughed in our faces, rolled his eyes, and talked down so low to us. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Do not waste your money here!!

I was super excited to check this experience out! We felt like celebrities and were greeted with a champagne toast in the lobby and our passport and boarding pass. The space and views did not disappoint - such a unique and fun concept! Our party was all huge fans of the champagne infused chips. The drinks were fun and themed. I'm a huge gin fan and love a well made cocktail, however didn't care for the gin drink, thankfully they let me swap for another cocktail. The space was luxurious and they had cute postcards you could send to friends for free. I didn't give 5 stars because a few things missed the mark for us. They gave still water in an Aqua Panna water bottle, but it was clearly tap water and didn't have the minerality of Aqua Panna. The first cocktail in our offering was small and most of the folks in our group didn't love it. The cocktails all had prices listed on the menu from $26-$29 (which is a lot even for Chicago), but we paid roughly $87 per person for the experience after added fees and included gratuity so expectations were high in line with the price. There wasn't live music or entertainment on the Friday night we went. We checked our coats, and when we left there was no one around to retrieve them for us - so we helped ourselves from a closet. This was absolutely a unique experience and stunning views of the city!!! I hope they find a price point or drink offering that gives customers more value and flexibility to select all of their drinks.

I was extremely pleased with my experience at this place. The views were great even though there was fog when we went. Ryder, our server was great. They spaced out the reservations so there is no rush to order drinks and you can relax and enjoy the ambience. We pre-paid about $65/person for two cocktails. We enjoyed the first champagne cocktail in the "boarding lounge" before we headed to the main room. From the main lounge area there are 7 cocktails based on the 7 wonders of the world. All drinks were priced in the menu ~$20-$30 and then one super fancy cocktail listed for $225. I almost ordered until I saw the price I'd rather stick to the other price point for a single cocktail. We ended up getting 2 drinks each and since the first two were covered in the reservation price our bill came out to only $56. This was a great date night and would recommend to others for a unique speak easy type bar experience.

I was very disappointed with the experience. The advertising is very misleading, the photos of the Adorn and Mile-High Club are merged giving the impression it's the same location when in fact it's not. To pay $85 a person plus a 20% service charge upfront and the only option is the awful drinks is bad judgment on whomever signed off. The drinks made my wife and I sick. Nothing about the experience is even remotely close to a speakeasy. No performer like the lady singing in the videos, the DJ is at the Adorn, not the Mile-High Club. My wife and I had a great dinner at Evie(Once Bandera) and thought to conclude the night with this experience. I would like a refund. The staff was the best thing about the experience.

What a fun time we had at this temporary bar at the top of the Four Seasons Hotel! The staff was amazing, beginning with the host Julia who was so very welcoming. The bar tender Jeremy made us some of the most amazing drinks we have had in Chicago. Damian, our server for the night, was happy and attentive. We always say that it is the people who make the experience and if this space continues to exist in some other form (tiki bar?), we will return.

We had a terrible experience here. My husband and I along with another couple reserved the 2 cocktail experience here well in advance, and were completely looking forward to celebrating our recent weddings. Keep in mind that we each paid $80 each with tax for this experience. One of the "signature cocktails" is a glass of champagne while waiting for your table and the other one is served to you at your table. We had a very rude server (Ryder) who treated us poorly the whole night and then forgot to mention a drink my friend ordered was another $200 + on TOP of what we already paid. He then got defensive saying he told us it was an "up-charge" but it seemed odd that an up-charge would be $200 +for ONE drink. He treated us poorly in front of the manager, Julia, and she said nothing. She then started to try and mediate without offering any solution but a call first thing the next morning. Which she never did. Don't waste your money on here just cause it went viral on tik tok.

Absolutely loved this place! The staff was super friendly and fun, and the drinks were amazing. The atmosphere and views were also great! We will definitely go back! Ryder and Grace were excellent hosts!

I HIGHLY recommend this place for a fun date night or night out with a small group of friends! My boyfriend and I had the best time. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with excellent service and could tell the staff really wanted to create a fun experience for us. We received complimentary champagne at the front desk along with our "boarding pass" and room key to enter on the 46th floor. Once you got off the elevator you simply walk to the room number on the boarding pass and scan your card to enter. The room gave off "first class lounge" vibes and we received our second complimentary drink while we sat enjoyed the view and ambiance. After 10-15 minutes we were asked if we'd like to move on to the speakeasy portion by walking through what looks like a red telephone booth into the second room of the night. The atmosphere felt like a high-end mens club with gorgeous design/details and cute seating. It was not overcrowded in the slightest which allowed us to hear the music and enjoy conversation. Again, the views are outstanding. Their drinks were delicious, the selection provided something for everyone, and the presentation was so fun. Our server, Ryder was amazing, answered all our questions and checked on us throughout the evening to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. It was such a fun night, absolutely loved it! Anyone who insulted Ryder is simply mistaken. That is by far the best service I've ever had. The absolute goat, took care of every need before we even had it. for the record, the prices are on the cocktails. nobody accidentally ordered a $250 cocktail, it's clearly written, they just didn't read. Ryder is a legend.
