Milestone - Review - Mystic - Mystic - The Infatuation

"You can always count on Milestone for a crowd-pleasing menu, cold local craft brew, and some live music. The classic, thin-crust personal pies are our go-to, and we strongly endorse the Jake with pepperoni, and the Summer Pie with fresh corn, tomatoes, and ricotta cheese. To round out your order, look no further than the burger with special sauce and a creamy, rich spinach artichoke dip. There’s a patio, where you’ll hear live music that leans folky and easy breezy, with expansive booths in an old warehouse space that opens onto the street. photo credit: Lisa Nichols photo credit: Lisa Nichols photo credit: Lisa Nichols Pause Unmute" - Tanya Edwards

We stopped here on our short visit to Mystic Connecticut and enjoyed sitting on the patio with our pup. Tommy was our server and he was so friendly and helpful. He not only took great care of us but he also recommended another place for us to stop with our dog because he knew we would enjoy the vibe. This restaurant has a great patio but the inside is absolutely beautiful. Looks like they have a nice eat-in restaurant area on one side which we did not really go into but I did take a picture. The bar area opens up to a nice patio as well and it was a great day to sit out there and enjoy the sun. 5 stars for Tommy. We would go back there again just to visit with him!!🌻🦀

Google
Delicious!! Tried them out by going to their happy hour and it more than exceeded expectations!! Perfectly cooked steak tips, absolutely delicious salad bowl and drink specials, what more could you want? Will become one of our go to places I'm sure. Service was also great and LOVE the high ceilings/ NYC vibe

Google
Fabulous ambience! They got it perfect with the lighting and the colors & the flowers!!! Service was great-AND- the wait staff should learn not clear plates While people are still eating at the table unless asked. Additionally dropping off dessert menus while people are still eating is a big no no too unless, of course, somebody asked for a dessert menu at that time. Now onto the food: The brussels sprouts were delicious! The beet dish was delicious leaving me wanting more. The salmon dish was delicious (though definitely overpriced, for what arrives ) -they DEFINITELY SHOULD serve it with some type of bread so you can sop up all that delicious sauce at the bottom of the bowl. Now for the pizza- decent enough… the outside crust is great, but the main portion of the pizza-needs to be cooked more to make the bottom crust stiffer. All in all Milestone is a really great addition to downtown Mystic. The bar looks like total fun with a bunch of people socializing. We will definitely be back! 😉🥳

Google
Superb comfort food with a twist in a sleek space with excellent music. The Betty White pizza with super-thin NY style crust, white cheeses and hot honey is superb! Meatballs with salad and garlic bread is entirely crave-worthy. The beet and Greek salads are delicious, and the wings are outstanding. The ambiance encourages gathering and lingering. My guest declared her espresso martini, "outstanding." Just... GO!

Google
Started with the artichoke dip which was delicious but a little heavy with garlic. For dinner we had the “balls”, hanger steak bordelaise, and crispy half chicken. Overall delicious and beautifully prepared. Only downside was the overdressed salads which made them inedible.

This was our first time at the restaurant since it's opened. The atmosphere and the decor are great. I really enjoyed some of the decorations and stylistic choices that they made in terms of the bathrooms and the bar. We were there on a Monday night, and while it was not busy the service was still relatively slow. They had a taco special as an appetizer which we ordered that we were really not impressed with. It really seems like a regular Old El Paso Taco with a fancy sauce (although the sauce was good). We also got the mushroom toast which was fantastic and I would highly recommend that. For entrees I had the steak tips which were good, but I expected more for a $36 plate. My wife got the good salad which she thought was good but nothing out of this world. My sangria was very good. Overall, I think this is a pretty great place to go and have some drinks after work, but we will not be coming back for dinner. Their brunch menu looks interesting, and I will definitely give it a try at some point, but overall it is really expensive and if it is anything like the dinner, just not worth the money.

Google
Excellent food, would recommend. 10/10. My friend and I stopped by on a Sunday and made use of their Happy Hour specials (all day Sunday!) $7 margaritas and sangria. Can’t beat it. The sangria was excellent - not just wine and juice over ice, but mixed together with brandy and just so amazing. We also got the balls (meatballs over marinara), fries, and halfatoni (small portion of rigatoni alla Butera), and everything was amazing. But the true shining star of our meal was our server, Heidi. She was so sweet and kind and brought me extra Parmesan cheese for my meatballs and ranch for my fries without me even asking. It’s like she looked into my soul and could tell what I needed! Heidi is a precious human who made out visit extra special. Will absolutely be back!

Didn't eat here, but the Guinness was nice and cold on a hot day! Service was excellent at the back veranda as well as at the bar. Will be back!....

Yelp
pleasantly surprised by this spot! my bf, his mom and i went to milestone for a quick lunch on weekday during thanksgiving and we were really pleased with the vibes, food and service! we were one of maybe 4 parties there and service was quick and attentive. we started with the meatballs which were phenomenal (ngl, it had us thinking about it for the rest of our trip)! really fresh and rich in flavor. we all got the good bowl with various toppings - me with salmon, bf with steak tips and her with shrimp! it was light, healthy, fresh and exactly what we were looking for to hold us over til our early dinner. the space is open and airy and we loved their upside down christmas tree decorations! they seem to host a lot of neighborhood events and seem very community oriented. def recommend checking out for a good, quick bite! it's a good option for us and we'll def be back when we're back in town!

Yelp
Love the food. Their ribeye steaks are high quality meat that are cooked to perfection. The Filet was a perfect medium rare, beautifully seared, the filet was pink/red juicy. They paid great attention to the fattier cap and it came out juicy and crispy. Really well cooked! The service both times I went was very professional and pleasant. The Ambiance is where they stumbled. The music is too loud and they didn't turn it down when asked. The music is perfect for a lively bar (which it has) but is uncomfortably loud when seated and trying to enjoy a meal with friends. In short, this would be my go to right now for a great steak if I was sitting at the bar, or with one other person. It's too loud for four people to enjoy both a meal and conversation. They do have a second little bar area when you first enter the restaurant where the music didn't seem quite as loud but it's not as nice as the main dining room.

Yelp
Always fun to come by Milestone. It feels like visiting a neighborhood. Everyone is super friendly and of course their brick oven pizza is the best!! I always look for a way to feel back in Rome. So I ordered their margarita Pizza. And mama Mia, I was not disappointed. Yum yum for sure. Their Bartender Rolando is always welcoming and always have something new to teach about. From specialty rums to new beers. This is one of my favorite place in Mystic

Yelp
LOVE this place for happy hour. We were in Mystic for one weekend and came here two days in a row. The happy hour deal is amazing and the margaritas are large and tasty. The food was also so flavorful, we ordered a bunch of appetizers to share and there were no misses. Not too crowded, especially if you come early, and the vibes are high. Not on the main stretch, slightly tucked away but worth the walk!

Yelp
Great vibe, delicious food, and great prices! Happy Hour all day Sunday is a great deal.

Yelp
We selected to dine at Milestone in Mystic because of their outdoor patio, we decided this before knowing what kind of food they offered. A bit backwards, but it worked out okay! It was such a beautiful, sunny day, I'm surprised more of the patio hadn't been occupied. Lucky for us there were plenty suitable choices for all of us in the menu. I got the Good Bowl. This is my kind of salad, it was very fresh, filled with all of my favorite things. It had quinoa, radish, sweet potatoes, red onion, avocado and toasted pepitas seeds. We also got their Spring Pie and Herbed fries. The pizza was a bit too thin and flimsy. It was ok, but certainly not anywhere near the top of the list for the best pizzas. One thing that was a bit annoying about the service was the lack of water. As I mentioned it was pretty warm outside. We received lukewarm water, and no ice. When our food arrived we hadn't received a refill. Eventually I had to ask the waitress for more water, she brought a big bottle of not so cold water, filled our glasses, and took it away. Hmm.. this is a bit strange. Other than this the service was fine.

Yelp
Had a great dinner here with friends. Our waitress was quick and helpful. We love the Betty White pizza! Corn ribs were great too. Only complaint is the indoor patio area smelled of sulphur, it doesn't usually so it was a bit odd.

Yelp
I finally checked out milestone the other day and I was pleasantly suprised by my experience. The waitress was attentive and offered great suggestions for the menu. The artichoke dip was warm and paired well with the pita. The cocktails I tried were refreshing and bright in both flavor and color. The standout was the salad tho. It had a cumin based dressing that left me floored with how incredible it was. If they are willing to sell me that dressing I'd gladly buy it .

Yelp
We went for happy hour with friends. I had the mash & tips along with a Cosmo. Friends had pizza. We all agreed the food was delicious, drinks were potent, and the ambiance is really great! Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Seriously cannot believe this place was not packed for brunch today. The Bloody Mary was perfect. Today's special drink was a watermelon spritz and two in my group loved it. For food we all enjoyed the meatball appetizer The Eggs Benny was delicious, the fish and chips plentiful and I highly recommend the chocolate pudding for dessert. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Great Music playing in the back ground. I walked in and paused to see if I was treated for a moment and no one greeted me, so I asked some staff that were sitting by if it was self seating and they said yes. So I sat at the bar. I was welcomed and water was provided along with the menus. Drink and happy hour menus. I got here early, so the happy hour bites and libations were all that was available. Found out when I began to order and was told that I had to wait until 4, so I ordered off the happy hour menu.... Figured I would chill until 4 and then order a main dish. Sometimes you need to be patient to see what comes up. Drinks are made to order, in case you don't see your favorite on their drink menu. I was served by Rolando, which a fellow Yelper mentioned Dips were yummy and hit the spot. Left to right, dips a different take on hummus, cheesy, and olives Really flavorful. Tried the taco. Yes, one taco... It fell apart. Not bad though. I mixed the olives and cheese and it was on point. I was also able to order a little early because of Rolando. Also recommend dipping your fork in one or multiple dips before tasting the Brussels, I think you'd be surprised at the great taste they can give. There gets to be a crowd, even on a rainy night. Saturday night reservations recommended. Parking. Not so fun when it's raining.

Yelp
Fun place. Cool inside. Smash burgers and salads are very good. Wings are just ok. Never had the pizza. The bartender girl from NJ was great. Not sure if she's still there. The male bartender who is there a lot is a really nice guy, but painfully slow behind the bar. Been there prob 10 times. First night there was a Thursday and I asked the outside bartender how are Thursday nights here seeing it was really slow. He told me about Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays instead. Well ok then. Either way it's nice to have a good casual spot in Mystic.

Yelp
We hosted a private gathering for wedding guests and Milestone was the perfect place. They offered an extensive menu of delicious food and options for cash or open bar. Everyone had such a great time - we could not have asked for a better experience.

Yelp
Came here with a friend over Memorial Day weekend and it was absolutely amaaazing! Our server Emily was very kind and attentive. We started off with the "Drinking with Chickens" cocktail and subbed the gin for vodka. It was delicious but a little heavy on the Campari, the prosecco was faint, definitely not a bubbly drink but still very tasty. We shared Roasted Brussel Sprouts as an appetizer. They were scrumptious and seasoned to perfection. I also got "A Good Bowl", it was great but definitely not a very flavorful dish. Very light. My friend got a burger, I believe it was "The Milestone" with LTO, she said it was great but the burger was MASSIVE. A bit messy to eat. Came with 2 patties. The perfect option if you're super hungry. What I loved the most about Milestone was their seating options! They had an outdoor patio with umbrellas and an indoor/outdoor area with lots of natural light and fans (where we sat). They also had an indoor portion that was closed the day we went. Overall 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Yelp
Rorlando behind the bar is THE MAN! The place is awesome as well. Location is ideal for a great night out in Mystic

Yelp
Ambiance is nice, clean. Bar is good, extra bar and open area in back. Music sometimes too. Food and menu are decent. Burgers and pizza are fire! Drinks and beer selection good too! Good for big parties with long high tables or date night at the front windows people watching. Owner is super nice guy too. You can tell he cares about the dining experience and food. Great to have him in Mystic!

Izzy H.

Yelp
Stumbled into here on Memorial Day and had a great time! Drinks and food were great, plus our bartender Justin was extremely kind and friendly!! He made the whole experience. Also such a cute spot!!!

Yelp
In the spirit of a New Year, filled with Resolutions and hopes to live a healthier lifestyle all while doing it to the fullest... Milestone is my first review of 2024!! Upon first arrival I recognized a familiar building in which used to be a local Asian restaurant, reimagined into a new modern vibe that fits perfectly in the heart of downtown. From what I I've heard locally, this is a sister restaurant to another establishment in CT, will update review when I 100 percent confirm. Being greeted immediately usually tells you right away what the overall experience is going to be like, and the entire staff was attentive and pleasant. While the drink menu was plentiful I stuck to my guns and continued with dry January and ordered an N/A Guinness, which surprisingly tasted no different than if it did have the alcohol. Moving onto food and continuing with the healthy habits going into 2024, we kept the meals small plates trying two great apps. 1. Good Beets (the name doesn't do them any justice) the beets were Perfect Beets. Nice creamy ricotta cheese and pistachio crumble with honey and balsamic drizzles. 2. Street Sprouts (seems and tastes like a take on street corn). Pickled onions and some chipotle aioli with a nice crispy Brussel sprout platter. The atmosphere and overall vibe, will be a great addition to dining options for locals as well as tourism! Cheers

Yelp
Nice, casual place for a drink. Wife loved the aperol spritz. Wings were really special. Friendly bartender.

Yelp
Went out with a group of four and enjoyed it all...we had drinks, appetizers, entrees, and dessert. There was a good selection of seasonal cocktails that we ordered right away then moved into appetizers. The gazpacho wasn't a favorite because it had whole pieces of vegetables in it rather than chopped or blended vegetables; the flavor was good though. The group really liked the chili and the artichoke dip was fantastic. We also had the scallop appetizer which was phenomenal. Everyone enjoyed their entree with the crispy side of potatoes being a favorite. Ended with chocolate pudding and after dinner drinks, which was perfect. The restaurant is a bit loud when having a conversation, but the vibe was fun! Our server was excellent; the kitchen was busy, but she kept us informed about when our food would be out and we enjoyed each other's company while we waited. Live music was just starting as we were leaving and there was a great summer crowd out enjoying the evening. I would definitely recommend making reservations, which were very easy to make.

Yelp
Have been a few times and always have a great meal and great service. We went on Thursday and it is apparently 1/2 price bottle of wines which was a great deal. We started with the wings which had homemade hot sauce and homemade ranch which was very tasty. We got a Cesar salad to split, the dressing was great and presentation was pretty. We then got half margharita pizza and half Anthony's (sausage and hot peppers). We were seated right away, there was live music in the main part but sat on the covered porch. Our server was attentive as well.
google avatar

Eri G.

Yelp
So glad they could accommodate a party of 6 during a busy Saturday evening. We were on patio, which was sealed up for the cold weather and it wasn't uncountable. Plus the Christmas lights made it feel cozy. We had time to check out the happy hour menu. I got the tips and mash along with a Greek side salad. It was a great portion for the price.
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful place, right off the Main Street. Great vibes, so clean and cozy at the same time. The staff was all Super nice. We didn't have a reservation and also have two young kids but were made to feel welcome and they were able to make a kids meal and even let my kids share because they don't eat much. Food and drinks were all delicious- great chili for a cold and rainy day. We don't live nearby but will definitely come back if we are back in Mystic!
google avatar

Samantha B.

Yelp
We love it here. The staff is great the food is delish. We love the slightly dark ambiance. Happy hour is great!

Yelp
Stopped for a cocktail - coolest vibes, great staff, service spot-on friendly, and delicious margarita! ...reggae music tops it off!

Yelp
This was our first time trying this place. We liked it a lot. The food was good and our waitress was great! We really liked the fact it was a little more laid back than some other places in town.

Mary P.

Yelp
Atmosphere has great vibes. Drinks are good. Waitstaff pleasant and very attentive. The food however is awful! I ordered chicken wings. They had no flavor, served with ranch instead of blue cheese, no accompanying celery or carrots. In addition I got chili, the worst. It had no beans or other ingredients just hamburger meat so thick without any sauce. My husband had chicken Parmesan with rigatoni. Obviously microwaved sauce and reheated rigatoni. The chicken was dry without flavor. I would go back for drinks but would not eat there
google avatar

Yelp
great burger wednesday ! service perfectly , local vibe with high end ambiance , Bar type but still fine dining feeling , spacious and Relaxing ! pasta is delicioso

Pat B.

Yelp
Entrees were overcooked , to overly spiced. Recommend the appetizers and drinks at best. Wasn't offered Utensils for the entree . if you have a date you don't want to talk to , bring them here as the music was loud even prior to the band
google avatar

Frida D.

Yelp
Was excited by great reviews. Drinks- great Appetizers- beets, brussels, shishitos. All great. Pizzas- nothing special 1/2 chicken- lame sides, chicken plain, too $ Salmon- blah but ok, too $ Atmosphere- loud but fun and casual Service- terrific Would definitely go again for drinks and small plates
google avatar

Yelp
Good food. Good drinks. Had the pizza super light. Cheeseburger with fries was great. Steak frites also very good.

Kris L.

Yelp
Stubbled upon this fun place over Halloween weekend. They had live music for a disco Halloween party. Good crowd. Drink menu was fun and had a good variety serving classics and new concoctions. We ate at the bar, had a bar pie and regular balls, which were their meatballs. The bar pie was well done, nice char on the crust just how we like it. The regular balls were served in a ball of chunky sauce, also well done, tender and tasty, good flavor. The drinks were also well made, no complaints here.

Penny D.

Yelp
truly felt welcomed even with our dog. They immediately brought him a bowl of water then took our drink orders. House Pinot Grigio was really good. Happy hour pizza with cheese and sausage hit the spot. Staff all were smiling. Would definitely recommend.

Marilyn L.

Yelp
We visited Milestone over Columbus Weekend. Such a warm day we wanted to try a new place with outdoor seating. The waitress and staff were very upbeat and friendly. But, they all had ADD, the attention to details, patron orders, and prioritizing their tasks was completely missing. They seem to run around looking busy, but they accomplished very little. The cooks must have had the same problem, because they got our order wrong and the bacon on my sandwich was not fully cooked. It took an hour to receive our order. You wouldn't think two chicken sandwiches would not take that long. At that they got the order wrong. And tried to make us feel better by saying that they would not charge for the extra cheese. Really?! The only reason it got a 2 is because the chicken was moist and so the sandwiches were not a total loss. After I removed the uncooked bacon. After all I don't need an episode of Trichinosis! All in all it was a painful experience.

Cindy W.

Yelp
The cheeseburger was good, fries nothing special, ordered beet salad waiter never served it. When we asked for it again it came out with no dressing and no herbed ricotta. It's very cold in there, seating is terrible no cushions on a very hard wood bench. Bathrooms need cleaning .

Margaret C.

Yelp
Had lunch here with two others. The place was very inviting. Sat outside on the deck. The staff were so friendly and attentive! We shared the brussel sprouts as an app...fabulous! I ordered The Good Bowl for my meal and I loved it. Great drink menu too! We enjoyed our leisurely lunch and never felt rushed. I hope to return there the next time I'm in the area.

Bill F.

Yelp
The food, service and atmosphere are all great and enjoyable. Spectacular new restaurant!

Melinda G.

Yelp
We were pleasantly surprised to find this new restaurant. The food was amazing, the service was top tier!! And the atmosphere was everything . We will be back!!!

Adam T.

Yelp
Three strikes and you are out in my book. I have given this place three separate attempts. My opinion is food is good, service is horrible, and so loud can't hear anything. Owners have you heard of sound deadening panels? Ordered drinks and one bar tender tending to others ignored, second time took 15 minutes to pour a beer, other time got food before drinks. Recently waitress was talking to herself and not listening to what I had to say. Stating you ok? yep you are.... Ordered a 20-dollar burger and got diced tomatoes which kept falling out of burger, no one puts diced/minced onions in burger besides Mcdonalds. This restaurant has a major identity crisis, bar, fine dining, or both figure it out because I will not be back. If you want slow service and overpriced everything and watch a 200 inch tv... feel free. I drop 100 dollars of hard earned money.... when Five Guys had better burgers. Farm to table.... no it is not.
