Was there today ice cream was good not to sweet but for a small cone $4.85 thats insane and there wasn't any pricing nowhere to be seen thats why 3 star if i would have known it would have been different

What a wonderful place to spend some time in...a good Dairy Bar never goes out of style. Even Peanut was welcomed with a cup. The ice cream is beyond good, lots of choices, our favorites were Coconut Grove and Chocolate Peanut Butter each standing tall to their namesake flavors. On our visit we were served by two former Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders (at least that's what thought they said) who's names were Bambi and Heather...regardless when in Milford stop by and enjoy a dip or four.

Great service, great ice cream and a quick transaction. Even with a long line during the music festival, they worked quickly and helped all the customers.

Oh my goodness! The ice cream and waffle cone are delicious! I got the Amaretto and Cherry Garcia. The ice cream has so much flavor and so smooth. I wanted to get 2nd. The young ladies are so friendly. Please don't forget to tip.

Would give it 0 if possible. Bad staff attitude, very limited flavor profile, even chocolate didn't taste like chocolate...

First time here. I had a vanilla cup with chocolate sprinkles and it was very good. I have had really good vanilla ice cream in my life and this is right up there. Looking forward to are next ice cream trip!

My kids love this place- it's your typical what you think would be ice cream in the country. I got a twist- chocolate -vanilla in a dish, also mint chocolate chip (where the I r cream was purple) and a hot fudge sundae. All very delicious! We needed to experience what my kids like!!

We made a pit stop here on our way back to our home for the summer from NJ. Milford is the closest big "city" to where we're staying and we drive through fairly often. It's very cute and quaint. The Milford Dairy Bar is pretty nondescript: it's a storefront adjacent to a cleaners in what's essentially a parking lot. There is outdoor seating but it looked pretty grimy, so we chose to sit at the bench in the front. The ice cream is allegedly homemade, and we have to say that it's pretty good. It certainly tasted fresh and all three of our flavors--chocolate oreo, salter caramel pretzel, and cookie monster--were fun and tasty. We aaaaaalso shared a small soft serve with rainbow sprinkles that was super creamy. The two young ladies working were patient and helpful. Honestly, our only complaint other than the seating situation is value: for the Poconos this place is pricey, especially for the portion size. One small (essentially a single scoop) is $4! We get that it's homemade and inflation is high, but these prices just aren't on par with the rest of the area. Cash only too. We might come again next year when we're back, and hopefully costs will have stabilized better by then.

This place is perfect. Soft serve excellence just like you want it! Friendly staff and outdoor seating. Cash only. COVID-19 aspects: staff were masked and wore gloves, signs instruct visitors to stay six feet apart and wear masks.

The setup of this place is like a small DQ where you order so the window and pickup at the same window. The staff were friendly and courteous. They were quick to get our orders. I like that they offer soft serve as well as regular ice cream. They have some unusual flavors that I didn't expect for a small town ice cream shop like Vietnamese Coffee (cinnamon and coffee). The prices were reasonable and the scoops are a decent amount of ice cream. They don't have dilly bars that are homemade only characters such as Spiderman and SpongeBob. They have live music available on certain days so that was cool. They don't have seating inside but have a tent setup on the side for shade. Overall, I like the Cherry Garcia flavor I got. The ice cream is smooth but not soft serve. I like that the ice cream was not super sweet and so it suits my palate. Would definitely recommend you place and would stop back if we are in the area again.

This place is the best! The ice cream is so good and there are always unique flavors. And the outdoor live music is an awesome bonus. Darryl the owner is super cool and passionate about bringing in great performers. My family comes to town every summer and Milford Dairy Bar is hands-down our favorite spot.

A very small old school Ice cream place in town where you literally order your ice cream out of a window. I look forward to coming here every summer when they are opened. They offer 46 homemade delicious unique flavors of ice cream, sorbets and Italian ices. They also have the standard soft ice cream dipped or sprinkled plus shakes. I always look forward to their new unique flavors. I just had their Vietnamese coffee ice cream which had a nice light coffee and cinnamon taste. I also really love their Kahlua express. They can get pretty busy but its so worth the wait. They have live music on the weekends plus picnic tables where you can just sit and enjoy. Its really a great place to go if you want to try different fun flavors.

Went 5jere for the first time today. The ice cream is top notch. They also have a band stage set up. I'll be back again.

A great little ice cream stand with friendly staff, and many well loved classic flavors, as well as some new imaginative ones. They have a covered picnic area where you can enjoy your ice cream in any weather. I stop in every time I visit Milford.

Wow! We came here after a hike at High Point State Park in New Jersey as we wanted ice cream to end the day. It was honestly one of the best homemade ice cream places that I have been to ever and I have been to a lot of homemade ice cream places. They offer a great selection of flavors and the ice cream so so creamy and good. They have plenty of seats outside too which was great. Definitely try this place out!

Milford dairy bar is an AWESOME local ice cream shop with both standard AND inventive flavors (skidmark, fuzzy bear, fancy pants, kahlua express, chai tea). Best of all, it's super creamy and rich!!! Very clearly homemade! I got the kahlua express, coffee and salty caramel pretzel--all were delicious! The kahlua express was loaded with chocolate covered espresso beans, the coffee was great - rich in flavor unlike most other places, and the salty caramel pretzel carried the perfect balance of sweet and salty (but sadly the toppings were scarce). The homemade waffle cones are yummy, I highly recommend! We'll definitely be regulars at this place

Good ice cream but ridiculously overpriced. Save that garbage for the front platers. There's many more and better, more reasonable places within 10 minute drive.

Been going here for years upon years with my grandparents but recently I've had to go non dairy and was so sad knowing I wouldn't be able to eat their ice cream anymore. To my surprise, I rolled up expecting to only get mango Italian ice but they had a non dairy ice cream! Their non dairy coco loco is out of this world good!

When I think of Milford I think of a few things, and this place comes to mind every time! They have fantastic soft-serve and the live music on weekends is so quant. Everyone is welcome to listen to the music and if I can make a suggestion, order an old fashion hot fudge sunday with soft serve vanilla! It gives you a warm feeling that you can only get from childhood memories, home and small town charm!

Quick back story: My wife and I moved to Milford 3 years ago. We have two children 2.5 and 1 year olds. I grew up in a city atmosphere and love the community feel of Milford. Today I took my daughter on a Daddy/Daughter date for pizza and ice cream and it started raining when we got our pizza. I drove around Milford looking for a place we could stay outside and eat and thought of Dairy Bar because they have a tent to protect against the rain. I got there and nobody else was there besides the owner and his daughters, who I found out work there with him. I was concerned because we were going to eat pizza before ordering our ice cream and thought someone might be upset because we brought outside food to eat there. A few minutes into me and my daughter sharing pizza, the owner came out, and instead of running us away he personally thanked us for stopping by on a rainy day. He asked me how long I lived in Milford and told me how he has daughters that went through the school system and how proud he was of them. He laughed with my daughter and made our day better. We then got some delicious ice cream and brought some home to Mom. It's people and things like this that make Milford and the world as a whole a better place. It is also a testament to how if you treat people with love and respect, you may earn yourself a customer/friend for life. My family and I will never go elsewhere for ice cream and will recommend Dairy Bar every time moving forward.

#PA #SocialMedia My husband and I came in from Ca to be with family. After dinner tonight we drove 30 minutes to try and make it here before closing at 9pm because we wanted something special. Luckily we made it by 8:45pm with 3 people inside standing around chatting but they were already closed. SUPER DISAPPOINTED with this spot. When we knocked on the window to ask the blond girl what time they closed her answer was "Like 9". Please hire people that will work when their suppose to and not close because their boyfriend stopped by. So thanks for the slap in the face.

So refreshing on this hot day. They always have great flavors and nice outdoor atmosphere. Live music also! Which is interesting for an ice cream spot. Must stop if you're in the area!

We visited MDB four times during our recent trip to the Milford area. I considered stopping in again today before heading home, but five days in a row seemed a bit overindulgent... It's not a fancy place at all - just a walk-up window and a few outdoor picnic tables around the side - but the ice cream is fantastic, and the flavors varied and interesting. MDB's ice cream is rich and creamy without being *too rich*. Their portions are true to size (a small cup was one small scoop, the medium was two small scoops) and priced appropriately. The kids working the window are friendly, and will happily explain what goes into Fancy Pants or Fuzzy Bear. My favorite by far was the Banana Oreo (banana flavored ice cream studded with chunks of Oreo cookies). The ice cream softened up the cookies just enough to give them a fudgy texture, and the ice cream itself tasted like real bananas and not some nasty banana-flavored chemical additive. I enjoyed this one so much that I got it again on Day Three. Their chocolate ice cream is wonderful as well - deeply chocolate, not too sweet but not too dark. I tried three different variations: Dark Chocolate Peanut (with crunchy chocolate covered peanuts); Chocolate Raspberry (with tiny chocolate-covered raspberry candies and a raspberry swirl); and in milkshake form, the Chocolate Banana. Each of these were fantastic. I also tried the Salty Caramel Cups (caramel flavored ice cream with little chocolate-covered caramel candies mixed in). The ice cream itself was very tasty, but the chocolate coating on the candies was a bit waxy and distracting. Not the best of the bunch, but still enjoyed. Tasty, quality homemade ice cream. Glad there are still places like this around.

Visited here after lunch nearby. I was thrilled with the amount of creative concoctions on the menu. I ordered the Fancy Pants, which was Vanilla Ice cream with Brownie bits and Caramel Swirl. It was good, but nothing compared to what my boyfriend ordered, the Salted Caramel Ice cream with chocolate caramel pieces, it was delicious, creamy, and fresh tasting. I kept stealing licks of his ice cream cone. We wish we had room to order more flavors. If we visit Milford again, we will definitely be back.

Ugh, I know this is the New Yorker in me but I find it so spiteful and disrespectful when businesses don't keep to hours that are posted online. This place closes at 9pm, not 9:30pm (and based on some of the other reviews here, it seems that even the 9pm is only occasionally kept). When we showed up, they were still there, and when asked about their hours, they said "well, they're right on Facebook"...which says they close at 8pm. Nice.

I've been coming here ever since I was a child. Every time I visit the area, I make it a point to stop at the Dairy Bar. Their ice cream is SO DELICIOUS. It's creamy, affordable, and worth the wait when the line is long! There is plenty of seating as well. :-)

Their homemade ice cream is delicious! This is always a great place for some dessert on a warm summer day. The lines can get long but they move pretty quickly!

Good ice cream - can't complain! Not the best I've had, but I generally like all ice cream.

Ice cream flavors are great. We tried chocolate/cherry cordial, fuzzy bear (choc/white chocolate), and red velvet. All winners. The smoothies are a bit watery tasting. Good but not great, and very large. There are few picnic tables around the side, if you don't want to stroll. Service is friendly and efficient. The whole place is old school, in a good way.

Went here with a drunken troll. She ordered a Watermelon Italian Ice and I ordered what I call a "Freeze". I explained to the girl how to make it but clearly, she could not follow instructions. She was pleasant and tried her best. We asked for water for the dog and were supplied with water in a shallow cup. When the water was gone, she even gave us more. A nice pet friendly place. Covered outdoor seating to shield you from the sun.

This is a walk-up ice cream stand. It has no bathroom. Staff friendly, ice cream pretty good. They have a lot of wacky flavors. Ice cream sundae cost approximately $5.

High milk fat content and low emulsifiers. If you are sensitive to guar gum and carrageenan or other emulsifiers, this place is for you. Great quality!

Sigh. Props for it being homemade, but I was a bit let down by this place - my wife and I like rich, thick ice cream with big flavors, and that is not really what Milford Dairy Bar does. We went for the Fuzzy Bear (chocolate with cake pieces) and the mocha, and both had good texture but really didn't have a whole lot of taste. The mocha, for example, I had to sit and concentrate for a few minutes to detect any coffee, which I don't normally have to do. And it's not particularly cheap, either. If you're after big flavors - some are not - go somewhere else.

BEST! ICE! CREAM! EVER! Their homemade ice cream is creamy and smooth and yummy and delicious and SO worth the calories! I had a scoop of 'party cake' and 'coconut'. Friendly service and reasonably priced. A wide variety of flavors available in their homemade ice creams. A lot of the standards and some unique. I wanted to try them all. We'll definitely go back. :)

This place has small town living right... The best place to go to enjoy HOME MADE/HAND MADE flavors.... There are so many and they are all so good that it takes most of the summer to get through them all! I love them!

I have family in Milford, so I've been going to the Dairy Bar for more than 25 years. Their soft chocolate ice cream is so good that I've given up eating it anywhere else. I'd rather have a few great cones a year than lots of mediocre ones. Their soft ice cream is very creamy and has a rich milk chocolate flavor. (In many other soft serve spots, the ice cream has ice crystals or has a chemical taste -- maybe from the stuff they use to clean the machine? Not at the Dairy Bar.) I love sophisticated food and desserts, but a Dairy Bar soft chocolate cone with chocolate sprinkles is one of the essential tastes of summer for me. The young folks who work there are always good-natured and efficient, too.

41 handmade flavors were available when I visited including 2 hard yogurt options. Day 1 was so amazing that we went back day 2 and day 3. Just yummy fun. Worth a side trip and a stop if you are anywhere nearby.

When we are in Milford we love to come here to get some ice cream and Italian ice to. I would totally recommend the Milford Dairy Bar to anyone who lives or goes to Milford for a great inexpensive treat!

The ice cream is good but portions are way too small. Ordered a large (3 scoop) "fancy pants". The 3 scoops barely filled half the cup. Not worth the $4 price tag.
