Been coming here since I moved downtown (and down the street) in 2015! This was my go-to place for a solid few years after moving, and then for a few years I took a bit of a hiatus and lately this past year or so I've been coming back because it's so darn close and convenient. Their happy hour actually holds reasonable hours, from 5 to 7 p.m. every day.
Lately when I've been coming, I get the happy hour sangria or the margarita, sweet potato fries, date with a pig, and pollo con crema tacos (basically, everything on the HH menu). Sadly, their happy hour is not as robust as it used to be pre-covid (the patatas bravas, which I love, used to be on the HH menu but they are no longer included) but c'est la vie.
Off the HH menu, I've had the lamburginis (lamb sliders) which are delicious and a standout, the burrata, and the brussels sprouts. For drinks, I've had the sangria, margarita, mojito, and Heat of Passion. The food is delicious but a bit on the more expensive side if you're not going off the HH menu. Definitely worth it though for a date night or for happy hour with friends.
Ambience is very sensual and dark inside but pretty loud, unless you get one of those intimate, curtained two-seaters by the kitchen. Outside, try to score a table by the fireplace. The parklet can get loud with all of the street traffic.
P.S. Please, pretty please bring back the skillet cookie!! I know Alcazar has it, but I don't understand how the sister restaurant up on the Mesa has it but Milk and Honey doesn't. The skillet cookie was amazing.
P.P.S. Devon is such a friendly and sweet server! Service overall is pretty good and consistent, although they do get swamped occasionally, but usually every server I've had is quick to refill water and check on your table.
