Milk Bar and &Pizza Open in Cambridge’s Harvard Square - Eater Boston

"For the Milk Bar uninitiated: Expect sugary treats of all kinds, from cookies to soft serve to cake truffles. Looking for something a little less sweet? Try a 'bagel bomb,' everything bagel dough stuffed with bacon scallion cream cheese. This location feels almost like a homecoming for Tosi: Her husband's family lives in the area, so she finds herself in and around Boston frequently. ..." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

The space is nice for sitting once you get your food/drink. We had the cereal milk soft serve ice cream. It was very over priced at 7 dollars for a small without toppings. It tasted like cereal milk, which you either like or you don’t. The fruity pebbles might be better.

I love the milk bar, it’s exactly what it sets out to be. An enjoyable little shop, with great desserts. Yes it’s expensive, but where else can you get cereal milk ice cream with delicious pieces of cake batter. Plus they really do make a good birthday cake. It’s not as big as a flagship, but the selection holds up, and they have extremely nice people working the counter. Go and enjoy.

Decent spot for some sweets. Got the compost cookie and the milk bar pie. Have had both from one of the NY locations and this location’s didn’t taste as good as the ones in NY did for some reason. Still good but very sweet in case that’s not your thing

After walking around Harvard, we needed a little pick-me-up, so we stopped in Harvard Square at Milkbar, I’ve made their famous Birthday Cake before (with all 54824 ingredients) and it was amazing, but I’ve always wanted to try their Milk Bar Pie! I got my chance. It was SO yummy! It reminds me of a buttermilk pie (which I love), so I think I might be trying to make that at home next!

The water was really good and you can have as much as you want because you will need a lot of it. Ask the friendly ladies at the pizza station to get this really pretty cup for free! Update, I recently had the 50$ cake it's so lovely sweet my friend threw his slice away. I am taking one star off for that bad yet expensive experience. It's the chocolate one, I don't expect the other flavors to be any better.

I would leave 0 stars if possible. Ordered take out based off the completely edited pictures that they give for the food. Ordered the milk bar and one slice of cake for $22. The slice of the birthday cake was less than an inch and a 1/2 wide and 2 and a 1/2 inches tall. The famous milk bar was less than an inch thick and was half the size of a dollar bill. It was basically an $8 cookie except even smaller. In the world we live in, this owner should be ashamed of how unethical the picture vs reality is. Descriptions show and state more than one person can share a slice. My pet hamster could eat these without needing water.

Cereal milk soft serve was SO good. Definitely can taste the corn flakes aspect to it. Crack pie, or now the milk bar pie was good as always. $7 USD for the soft serve is a bit steep in pricing tho

Milk Bar is an insult to the Boston food scene, it feels like it would be better suited in a mall food court. Nothing is baked in house thus resulting in stale cookies and truffles, that takes on the plastic wrapper taste. I've had better cookies from a grocery store. The ice cream has potential but again is unimaginative, for $9 I expected an experience and I was completely underwhelmed. I would have been more satisfied with a mcflurry. This place seems like a cash grab trying to take advantage of a name. Save you wait in line and go support one of the local dessert places.
