Milk Beach Queen's Park Review - Queen's Park - London - The Infatuation

"Milk Beach will convince you that you're in a very cool part of Australia—Manly Beach, say, on a warm day, with the sea winking at you in the distance—rather than down a cobbled street in Queen’s Park. First glimpses of blonde, frothy lattes lead to ordering plump, flaky croissants the same shade as the rattan light fixture bathing you in a fake golden hour glow. Even those stopping by the airy Aussie cafe for weekday breakfasts, with excitable young children in tow, aren’t immune to the stress-relieving power of soft-boiled eggs in a jar with pumpkin purée. The food is excellent. We could go on about the strands of soft ham hock on doorstop wedges of sourdough and the banana bread with espresso cream we could eat by the bowl. But really you should just go and try it for yourself. And if you don’t leave with a couple of St. John Bakery doughnuts for later, you aren’t doing it right. " - Sinéad Cranna

Yelp
I love this beach as it's quiet and has a great view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. It's a little annoying to get to as there's stairs but you can push the stroller/pram down the grassy hill. It's a two man job though. You can park for free on the street then walk down the long driveway. It is close to a high school and boats so expect a few of them around but they keep to themselves. Unfortunately one of them threw a beer bottle in the water and so there can be broken glass. I recommend bringing lunch like takeaway fish and chips, lots of water and a bottle of wine and just relaxing when you get here. You can also bring shade like a beach tent or umbrella.
