Yelp
Once upon a time, a colorfully compact place like this would've been a given in the Castro or on Polk where the historic gay meccas were in the city. But on Valencia? Just shows you that LGBTQ is everywhere and more importantly, anywhere. That's what makes the name so essential as Harvey would've loved it. I just happened to be walking by this supremely queer coffee spot and it brought a genuine smile to my face. I entered to immerse myself in the muted flamboyance of the decor.
Huge portraits of bigger-than-life local celebs like Heklina and Peaches Christ hung on the olive walls, and oversized leather couches lent a particular warmth that was complemented by the $6.75 Large Iced Oat Chai Latte I ordered, which turned out to be a delightful quencher on a balmy day (photo: https://bit.ly/37uIeBv). They offer a lunch menu of salads, sammies, and bagels & schmears. The only thing that was missing was the full throttle sound of the Weathergirls on the muzak. OK, I may be too old school.
