14 Boozy Slushies to Sip This Summer | Eater Denver

"The Union Station ice cream shop offers sweeter takes on frozen booze. Guests can choose from combinations including the 1881, made with butterscotch and bourbon. Or they can create their own alcoholic concoction." - Camila Navarrette

Great ice cream here in Union Station. Staff were great, a good amount of options, and good atmosphere and ice cream. They handed me the wrong ice cream until I told them and they were extremely honest and polite. Still worth a stop here for ice before your train. Love the Lemon Meringue!

My family loves visiting Union Station. The vibe is so fun. We frequently stop at the Ice Creamery to top off our visit. The staff is friendly and the ice cream is delicious and, well, very creamy!

Google
Hard to know what ice cream was what flavor they way they sign. Ice cream was “icy” or “grainy” not smooth and creamy. Cones are JOY brand. Disappointed they are not homemade. 1:00 and they are out of chocolate dipped cones. 🤷🏻‍♀️. 8% service fee. Didn’t bother to tell us. $18 for two double scoop waffle cones. Not worth it. I would not visit again. UPDATE: Since my post, the manager, Stacy, has reached out. She went above and beyond to make this situation right by us. It is clear this review was important to her. Her desire to make it right by her customers is clear. Thank you, Stacy! We will visit again when we are in the area.

Google
The best part, for me, is the location. It makes it easy to enjoy in the Terminal building of Union Station especially during the cold months. The flavors are unique and very good. I had the Irish Cream fudge. I enjoyed it. Well balanced flavor - neither was overpowering. The atmosphere of the actual shop is a little underwhelming. But it is clean and very nice.

Google
Milk box Ice Creamery has super tasty ice cream, with lots of flavor options. The shop even had a couple of sorbet flavors for my dairy-free kiddos. Service is friendly. It’s located in Denver’s Union Station. We took the RTD light rail there. However there is some street side metered parking. My only concern is the price. A single scoop costed just over four dollars. Other than that, Milk ox Ice Creamery is a wonderful place to get ice cream.

Google
Decent ice cream. It isn’t anything special but a good place to grab a scoop when you’re in the area. We stay at the Crawford Hotel which includes a scoop per day with your stay which is super fun. We enjoyed eating the ice cream on the patio and people watching everyone playing in the fountain. I would check this place out if you are in the area!

The person working the Saturday afternoon on 10/5 was clearly inconvenienced by needing to serve customers. Fast talking through a mask would have made it hard to understand except the only words said were “anything else?”. No hello or thank you. Didn’t use gloves to handle the cones (which I didn’t see until after all of my kids had started eating and at that point it’s whatever). The employee couldn’t get back on their cell phone fast enough. Went online to look for contact info and saw that we paid a 5% Living Wage Fee for the “hardworking, non-tipped employees” … though there’s definitely a tip request box out and tip request on the payment screen. I will never come back here and encourage anyone else coming through Union Station or walking past to stop elsewhere for a treat. Icecream is for moments of joy and comfort, so no customer should leave an icecream shop feeling ignored and frustrated.

Google
This business is a decent "old fashioned" ice cream shop inside the Denver Union Station building. It is located in the southwest corner of the building and you can enter from the outdoor patio on the west side, or go through the coffee shop from the inside public seating area. This ice cream shop has a good variety of ice cream flavors, some non-dairy (I believe), perhaps 15 or more flavors. I overheard the flavors can change hourly and there is no schedule for when a particular flavor is available. So count your luck if you find your favorite from this shop! There are cone options and of course different size cones and bowls. Prices were OK, especially for a touristy location. My only complaint might be the ice cream was not cold and well on its way to melting (on a hot July day). Service was great. They treated customers well and addressed customers’ questions and concerns despite the long line out the door. My son and I hung out at the train station with our ice cream to watch people and trains. There are tables and old station benches available for sitting. Actually there is a wide variety of seating arrangements and accommodations. If you are meeting anyone downtown, this would be a great place. Although it can get busy. Don’t forget there is seating just outside the shop on an outdoor patio as well by the station fountain. Milkbox is a great treat and a nice excuse to visit Union Station.

Yelp
A lovely ice cream shop. You can enter from the shared door with the coffee shop next to it in union station. More of a milky type of an ice cream so not as creamy. I liked how the ice cream wasn't overly sweet as well. It had a nice texture more reminiscent of grocery store ice cream so nothing to complain about.

Yelp
Small ice cream spot tucked away inside the Union station. Quick and efficient service by extremely friendly staff. Not too mention the flavors were creamy and delicious! Could not recommend more

Yelp
They are located in the southwest corner of the Great Hall in Union Station next door to a coffee shop. Prices are posted on a video screen. They had 7 ice creams and 2 sorbets. You cannot see the ice cream in the freezer but samples are free. I got a dip of pistachio with a dip of coffee ice cream on top. Only 1 table inside to sit at. A little bit of swag (T-shirts, drink mugs, coffee cups) available for sale. I was served quickly. My ice cream was good.

Yelp
I love the location of this ice cream shop as it's located at Union Square. It's the perfect treat as you're waiting on your train or shuttle to a tourist stop. However, I found the ice cream to have a powdery texture. Both the chocolate and strawberry had very light flavors and were not very enjoyable. I only ate about 1/3 of my one scoop.

Yelp
Milk box is located in the old barber shop inside Denver's Union Station. A cute spot offering small-batch ice cream in hand crafted flavors. Milk box not only offers your scoops in a cone or cup, they have sundaes and shakes that will blow your mind. For the 21+ club they have the best boozy shakes out there- yep they're the bomb!! MilkBox Creamery *vegan options

Yelp
Really nice ambience. A nice little place to grab ice cream. I think they're reasonably priced. I chose the classic vanilla scoop. It tasted like vanilla bean. There's a tea/coffee shop across from the creamery and you can charge your phone there and do some class work maybe. Overall a nice place.

Yelp
Unfortunately, I experienced three strikes on a single visit. Strike one: server said that I could only sample two flavors. That's an incredibly cheap approach that is not very welcoming. Strike two: Yelp has a coupon which they refuse to honor. Strike three: the ice cream tasted watery and was tasteless in general Location was nice though. But that makes this place more of a tourist trap.

Yelp
Milkbox Ice Creamery offers premium organic ice cream and alcoholic shakes. I tried a scoop of the Cookie Monster(chocolate chip cookie pieces in a blue vanilla ice cream). I thought it looked so cool and tasted like chocolate chip cookies. The Union Station setting is beyond gorgeous. You can sit inside and enjoy the air conditioning or head outside for people watching.

Yelp
Our hotel stay in Union Station included two small ice creams at this location so we took advantage of it during our visit. We had the dulce de leche and cosmic berry flavors. Staff served us and comped us when we showed our hotel keys (we did leave a tip). I'd say it was good ice cream but not extraordinary. Good for a nice treat when you are at Union Station.

Yelp
Creamy ice cream at its best. I tried the Rocky road and the salted Carmel with Pb cups. Both were really good, both soft and creamy. They are located inside union station, so we were able to sit inside the station and people watch while having our ice cream. I thought that $5.00 for 2 scoops in a cup was a really fair price, we got a lot of ice cream for that price. We parked in the lot attached to the station, which was another $5.00 for 20 minutes.

Yelp
No place nICEr to grab ice cream! Milkbox Ice Creamery is conveniently located within the Denver Union Station for a sweet treat on the go with a menu of ice cream and boozy milkshake offerings. It is a charming, welcoming place and I was able to sample flavors before deciding on what I want to order. I tried the vegan salted caramel Oreo as well as the orange chocolate chunk then settled on the staff recommendation of cherry cordial. I am impressed with their vegan flavor offerings and the orange chocolate chunk was captured very well but I had been having a craving for cherry this week. The cherry cordial ice cream (single scoop is $4) is lightly sweet in flavor perfect after a big meal and the waffle cone (+$1) has such a satisfying crunch. It appears that the ice cream flavors rotate so stop by to see what you will get! Atrinity (I hope I got your name correctly! My apologies if I misheard/misspelled your name) is an ice cream serving angel! She was very friendly throughout my time at the ice cream place and made me feel so welcomed to Denver. Her positive energy radiated and I will forever be touched by her kindness. I checked in to obtain the 15% off coupon for my first visit. She asked if it was my first time to which I replied yes and I was visiting from CA. We joked about the weather being cold for Californians and she offered me ice cream on the house! I was so taken aback in surprise and her generosity. It has been a very difficult week for me since Monterey Park is my hometown and a mass shooting took place there on Lunar New Year eve. I have been sad and upset this week about the Asian elders whose lives were cut short too soon as well as being triggered in my classes during discussions. Her act of kindness made me smile for the first time since it happened. Don't forget how impactful you can be and an act of kindness goes such a long way. Thank you so, so much Atrinity, please continue to be your amazing self!

Yelp
Old school cream vibe. Please visit if you haven't yet. Always great to drop in and just pick up something fun. So many choices! Great team, great choices, and everyone here is always consistent with being thoughtful/kind. Special thank you to Jane, Madison, and Eric tonight!

Yelp
My bf & I have an addiction to Little Man Ice Cream - specifically the Mint Chocolate Chip. So we came here last weekend, on the hunt for Little Man. Sadly, Milkbox stopped carrying Little Man, so we got to try their new provider, which was also delicious. We both ordered sugar cones for the walk. He ordered Butter Pecan, and I ordered Coffee. Both were yummy.

Yelp
I enjoyed my ice cream a lot but I originally came here looking for a milk shake and the employees said their supervisor isn't there to check out the milkshake machine so they weren't making any. Another reason is my friends and I were looking at the Cookie Monster flavor and wanted to try the flavor, but they also said there wasn't enough to serve for a customer to pay. They also didn't have another batch and it was only 2 pm. It was a bit disappointing because we were looking for some milkshakes and unique flavors but we also could only try one flavor per customer. This makes it difficult to choose a flavor we want and we felt the options were a little limited. Ice cream tasted great as I said, just disappointed in that there were no refills of the ice cream nor could we get a milkshake.

Yelp
When Yelp partners with a local business like Milkbox Ice Creamery to offer up a sweet treat (15% off) for their anniversary - you meet up with fellow Yelpers (Katie F in my case) and treat yo'self to a little ice cream and girl time in the heart of Downtown Denver. So away to Union Station we went: Star #1 - I opted for a 2 scoop cone in a cup. After browsing the case and debating between all the delicious sounding flavors I chose to treat myself with a scoop of butterscotch and a scoop of cinnamon churro in a cup topped with a waffle cone. YUM! Star #2 - The shop is so freaking adorable! Bright yellow paint adorns the walls, they have the cutest little merch displays throughout, and in the window behind the counter there are vintage jars filled with decorative candy - all very fitting for the space. Star #3 - The employee working was super kind and helpful with making our ice cream decisions. While we were unable to sample the flavors, he gladly offered to answer any question we had and offered his suggestions for our treats. Star #4 - They offer pints to go - which I gladly grabbed for late night snacking. I chose butterscotch and toasted coconut for my to-go enjoyment. The pint of butterscotch had settled after being put in the to go container and was much sweeter towards the bottom, but overall was still quite delicious! While I used to find myself passing through Union Station a few times a week prior to COVID - I'd still make the drive to grab a scoop of their tasty ice cream or a boozy shake! Thanks Milkbox Creamery for the sweet treat and Yelp for partnering with such a fun local business to celebrate your anniversary! **COVID Note: They aren't offering tasters at this time, are limiting the number of guests in the shop, and outdoor seating at Union Station is socially distanced! So you can enjoy your treat and know that they have your well-being in mind!

Yelp
Come to Union Station to get ice cream. It has some high quality stuff here. Milkbox is one of those artisan places. Expensive compared to regular but of course it's better. They have several non dairy flavors. Convenient location just off the trains and has a nice seating area. It has a lot of flavors. There's a few that are vegan. Often there's at least a couple. They have a decent amount for not being a big store. I came here with a female friend. We both got a vegan flavor and compared these. I had the Almond Joy and she had the Chocolate. It's about $3.75 for a regular bowl, which isn't bad for the amount you get. The Almond Joy has some seriously good nutty flavors and was creamy and thick. I would come here again. Prices are okay. This is pretty affordable and other places like this are more expensive most times.

James V.

Yelp
Skip this place and go to little man ice cream. Strawberry was kind of watery and tasted more like sorbet. Vanilla was pretty bland and had texture of heavy thickeners. Pineapple coconut had no pineapple flavor/pineapple. Chocolate Brownie had no brownie in it. Grocery store ice cream has better flavor. Pretty disappointing ice cream place.

Yelp
I'm mad because I just realized there is a 15% off coupon on your first order on yelp. I came here spontaneously so I didn't check the yelp page :( its alright. This place is adorable and located right in union station. It was a bit pricy which is why I am sad I didn't see the coupon on yelp. Everyone knows it is really hot in CO during the summer so ice cream was a must at the time. Their flavors were unique which made the experience even better! My mom ordered the cinnamon churro and I got the salted oreo. My mom said the cinnamon in hers was very overpowering but still very good. Mine was very good as well just more salty than what I was expecting. Overall, this place is super cute!

Yelp
I had this place bookmarked for my Denver trip because I heard they had Little Man ice cream here. So instead of me going to Lil Man I just came here to avoid the huge lines. The location is inside of Union Station which is nice because then I could sit down somewhere. There's a menu right before you come in the shop and no they don't have a million flavors but the ones they do have seemed really good. The first time I came here I got a salted caramel something and it was really good. The second time well I forgot what it was but it was good. I would come here again especially if I'm staying in LoDo!
google avatar

Yelp
We had a delicious two scoops and an IBC rootbeer. The service was fast and friendly, even if we tried several flavors. We settled on a delicious passion fruit sorbet, and a mexican chocolate. All good, nice to sit in there and watch the cameraderie of the staff.

Yelp
Union Station was only five blocks away from the hotel, an easy walk. It was on my list of places to visit. I like looking at historic buildings, the architect is beautiful. It was afternoon and walked around inside and decided to have an afternoon snack. Off to the side was a room that sold fresh coffee, sandwiches and bakery items. It looked very inviting but in the corner of my eye I saw this little gem and it was calling me. The Milk Box Creamery has various ice cream flavors, the also gave a selection of sorbet and one coconut ice cream which was chocolate. I had a scoop of pineapple sorbet and a scoop of coconut chocolate ice cream. The combination was delicious! I Took it outside and people watched. In front was a large splash pad. I saw dogs playing in the water like a break during their walk out. They loved the water. There was one pretty large lab mix, put his paws over the hole the water was coming out of like to stop it. I just started laughing watching these cute animals play, Good ice cream and entertainment. I heard the next table comment they ordered adult shakes! Enjoy

Yelp
YAY MILK BOX! Not only is Milkbox located in the BEAUTIFUL Union Station in the heart of Denver but their homemade ice cream is to die for! When we arrived at the train station we noticed the bars, restaurants and souvenir stores but Milkbox stands out because they have home made shakes that can be boozy if you choose. They seem to have seasonal favorites, their normal staples and new and improved flavors. While we waited in line i noticed that there was a vegan pumpkin chai... say what?!? along with other mouth watering flavors like, french toast, space junkie, salted oreo and many many more. Milkbox offers samples prior to your sections so i tried the vegan pumpkin chai and i was sold. The rich favors with that cinnamon hint in a creamy smooth ice cream base was soooo good! I couldn't help but to enjoy each bite, i loved it all!

Yelp
What's better than getting an ice cream cone on a warm summer night and then playing in a street fountain? I think the answer's "nothing" when you're a 4 year old because then the world is magic and there's nothing better than being who you are where you are. Mmmmmmmm. Wished the ice cream was a good as my reverie. Good but not spectacular. Tried the key lime pie and espresso fudge. The first lacked deep lime flavor and the second was a bit too sweet for my taste. But ya know what? Well, maybe I'm just wrong, so I encourage you to go down to Union Station and give them a try, but above all make sure you play in the street fountain afterwards. Then I know you'll think it was wonderful! Sign me, David "dancin' in the rain" M

Yelp
great flavor.. tried the strawberry and chocolate and thats a good combination. the staff was nice as well. its located in union station which is just beautiful

Yelp
I visited Milkbox Ice Creamery twice during my most recent visit. They are located in Union Station and serve boozy shakes, vegan ice cream, gourmet ice cream and a small selection of assorted candy. They were super busy during both visits. The staff was quick and friendly. I ordered a banana brûlée and butter pecan. The butter pecan super creamy and my favorite of the two. I thoroughly enjoyed the banana brûlée but thought that it was very sweet so less was better.
google avatar

Vanessa M.

Yelp
Don't wait too late you'll miss out on all the good flavors they are currently doing construction to put in a cute pickup window
google avatar

Crispina Y.

Yelp
Variety selection of flavors, they sell merchandise - t shirts, water bottle containers. Located inside unionn station. Ice cream was okay.
google avatar

Czarina D.

Yelp
Maybe I'm an ice cream snob because I'm from SoCal, but I found this place to be fine. Nothing amazing to me but it sure did satisfy my sweet tooth. I ordered a double scoop of Salted Oreo and 16th Street Chocolate in a waffle cone. The Salted Oreo was a very unique flavor I had never tried before. The overall flavor was good, but it was a tad bit too salty. However, the combination of salt from the Salted Oreo with the sweetness of the 16 Street Chocolate made for a very delicious bite. The 16th Street Chocolate had a good chocolate flavor and I loved the fudgy brownie chunks. However, I felt the fudge swirl just tasted like Hershey's syrup to me when I longed for something more like a homemade fudge sauce. Overall, the ice cream tastes good! It's just not the most amazing ice cream I've ever had.
google avatar

Marshall Y.

Yelp
Found the ice cream to be a little icy. Strawberry wasnt as creamy as I would like. Also didn't have a very deep strawberry flavor Peanut butter cup was more creamy and had deeper flavor
google avatar

Margaret P.

Yelp
Pretty darn good ice cream in the adorable union station of Denver! The prices are very affordable -- I paid under 6 bucks for two different flavors (it was the single size and you can split the flavors with any size if you'd like). I ordered the salted Oreo and salted maple pecan. Both were extremely creamy and delicious! I loved how there were actually a lot of pieces of oreos or pecans in the ice cream -- it totally made every bite enjoyable! There was hardly a wait, which was great, and it was also extremely convenient considering that as soon as you get off the train, you can walk into the station and order your pick of ice cream from this place - YAS! Over the two flavors, I'd probably pick the pecan flavor over the Oreo. I liked the Oreo, but towards the end, I felt like it started getting a little too salty instead of sweet. The pecan ice cream stayed consistent in the sweet and salty department.

Yelp
When Yelp offers a 15% off on a sweet treat like ice cream, one makes the trek to Union Station from the burbs to indulge! Carly W and I did just that, and our experience did not disappoint! Here's why: ++ Despite being in the heavy populated area of downtown Denver, parking was a breeze! I spotted a vacant spot on the street within a short walking distance of Union Station ? and free I might add! ++ The outdoor patio was spacious, inviting and featured a variety of tables for our dining pleasure! Although marked Milkbox, upon entering you're greeted with a quaint coffee shop with ice cream to the right. As we walked in, I felt like I had transported back to the 1950's, as the space featured old school touches, glass jars filled with candies and the cutest decoration. The ice cream attendant even wore a vintage cap! ++ Although I had looked at the menu online beforehand, I was surprised to see different flavors displayed on the board ? however, everything sounded delicious making it hard for me to choose! NOTE: They aren't serving tasters at the moment (because, you know, COVID) so choose wisely! ++ The flavors here are off the charts! I opted for two scoops in a bowl (with a waffle cone on top!) with one scoop of the salted caramel peanut butter cup and the other with banana Brule ? and HOLY YUM! The flavors were bold, yet melded well together, creating the perfect bite! My friend opted for the cinnamon churro with a scoop of butterscotch, which was sweet to the taste and hit the spot! Also on the menu ? boozy shakes! Literally something for everyone! Although I haven't gotten my ice cream fix in a while, it was nice to indulge in a sweet treat with gorgeous city views. When in the area, I'll gladly return!

Yelp
Very disappointed! Ordered 3 small strawberry shakes and 2 cones for $40.00 All 3 shakes were almost warm frothy milk, no creaminess/firmness, and barely any strawberry taste. I asked the young man to remake 1 because it was so bad. He did not know what he was doing and watched him fill the cup with milk. The key-lime ice cream cone was pretty good but nothing was worth the amount we paid.
google avatar

Dan M.

Yelp
Went with a kids' serving of Vanilla Bean, not Vanilla. I don't know if it was the "bean" but this ice cream was incredible. So smooth and tasty. Only way I can describe it. For those who are interested, you get 15% off if you check in on Yelp.
google avatar

Lexi M.

Yelp
I was told this was one of Union Station's icons. The workers were really kind and gave me good recommendations for ice cream flavors. I ended up getting blackberry brownie and coconut together--a shwae combination. It definitely satisfied my craving, but I was expecting it to be higher quality ice cream. So all in all, it's not gonna disappoint, but it's also not gonna blow your mind.
google avatar

Ethan M.

Yelp
Great ice cream shop right inside Union Station. They don't have many flavors but they have 2 rotating vegan options. Tonight I had the almond joy flavor. Never had such a thing before but it was delicious. Tasted just like an almond joy with vanilla ice cream. The cream is very soft, almost like soft serve but not quite. That's not something you see very often with dairy-free ice creams. I'm sure some days there would be a line but tonight there wasn't and service was very quick. Great place for ice cream if you're near union station.
google avatar

Yelp
Milkbox is a great hidden gem at Union Station, and I always make sure to make a stop in here! Don't forget to check-in on yelp for 15% off. Great assortment of flavors and friendly staff that's very accommodating. Always yummy on a hot day, and the lobby has some seating to enjoy your treat too.
google avatar

Victoria M.

Yelp
Overall, I'm not impressed with this place. I know people love this ice cream for the uniqueness but that's something I'm turned off about. Almost all of their ice creams seem to have either a fruit/sorbet base or a salt base. I'm not a huge fan of either. I'm a plain old fashioned typical flavors. It was a pretty long line to go through and I was glad they had a screen listing the flavors however once I got to the front the flavors differed from what was on the screen. Not by a lot but enough for the ones I wanted to try. They're also expensive for ice cream but perhaps that's due to the location. Even though I'm not a fan of the place if you are looking for different variety in ice cream you might like this place.

Yelp
After hopping of the RTD at Union Station, I knew right away that my first stop will have to be Milkbox Ice Creamy. It was cold out, but who can resist some ice cream after a 2-hr flight? I've done some research prior and know that Milkbox Ice Creamery stocks ice cream from Little Man. Unfortunately, I did not see any of the more unique flavors like strawberry balsamic, purple cow, or cinnabun. My bf and I sampled a couple flavors and decided on a single scoop with half creme fraiche and half earl grey tea & cookies. We were surprised at how generous the scoops were for only ~$3-4. I was also able to use my 15% off from checking-in on Yelp (score!). Despite not being able to try some of the flavors I looked forward to, both of the ice cream we ordered were well-churned, creamy, and light. I really liked the earl grey tea & cookies flavor because it's intensely fragrant from the tea and also had that extra crunch from the cookies. I also liked the creme fraiche because it tasted rich and velvety. I thought it was going to be heavy after a few bites, but it wasn't at all. Overall, I had a blast just sitting in Union Station and people-watch with my delicious ice cream.

Yelp
Never in my life have I had such terrible ice cream, and I thought it was something you couldn't screw up! My friends and I came here after having dinner next door at Zoe Ma Ma. I'd consider one of the girls an "ice cream connoisseur" and even though it was snowing outside, she was visiting from out of town so we had to do it. The place was completely empty (understandably in the cold weather) but picked up a crowd shortly after we arrived. The digital menu in front of the creamery didn't match what was actually available. My first sight was the barista flossing his teeth in the mirror and giving me creepy serial killer vibes. I tried brushing it off as I ate various samples and settled on a child-size scoop of oreo mint chip in a sugar cone. How is it that all of our ice cream cones were melting so fast? It's like the freezers were malfunctioning. Also I got awful food poisoning later, which is no fun. Never coming here again, and I'd warn everyone to stay away! I will say that they have some cute swag on the shelves. It's annoying that the pricing isn't clear except for the digital signage out front. It's all overpriced, likely because Milkbox is at Union Station, and it's clear someone did not think through the customer experience. What a shame and missed opportunity because ice cream is an easy sell.

Yelp
I'm so basic so vanilla ice cream always does it for me. I found this shop located next to Stoic & Genius and inside of Pig train coffee. It was kinda hard to find for a few seconds but just got to keep your eyes open
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty good shakes!!! Didn't have many flavors though and also you couldn't taste anything due to covid so had to stick with safe flavors.
google avatar

Yelp
A quick stop in with no line, was able to get a small milk shake relatively quickly. Sort of expensive for the size, but the quality was obviously good. Super cute location with lots of seating in the station

Yelp
I am a huge ice cream snob, and I am happy to say, this was up there with the best of them. It was *slightly* icier than the best craft ice creams I've had, but it was still excellent. The employees when I was there were super patient and happy to let me try all their flavors (they have some really great ones, though I'm sure totally different already than when I was there a couple months ago, but I'm sure they're always great.) I went with a single scoop (two half-scoops) of brownie crumble and mocha chip, which was a particularly great combination, and learned: their single scoops are... big. I've had double scoops at expensive ice cream places like that were only slightly larger than the single scoop I got here (not complaining!) And for only 4 bucks! They don't have any seating here, though - but Pigtrain next door does, so I got an ice cream here, got an espresso next door at Pigtrain, had a place to sit, and had a truly *fantastic* affrogato for $7 total.

Yelp
I came here instead of Little Man because I needed to catch my ride to the airport. Super fast service. So bomb dot com.

Yelp
We were out and about and decided to stop for ice cream. After a quick search, we found Milkbox & headed over. It is located inside the Union Station which is gorgeous. I didn't ask for a sample before I ordered & regretted it after tasting mine. I had the salted caramel pb cup ... and it was SALTY! My stepdad ordered the same and we both ended up throwing ours away which was very sad. My Mom ordered the banana pudding & liked it - lots of banana flavor. My hubby and boys all ordered milkshakes which were good. There were 3 or 4 people working behind the counter and they were all rude. All 6 in our party left feeling like we had inconvenienced them by coming in for ice cream. Can't say we will ever be back.

Yelp
I'm pretty sure Milkbox is part of the Little Man Ice-cream family. Either way why pass up ice cream? We stopped in during a recent stop and the ice cream was great. Checking in via Yelp also give you a discount at the register. I will have to say that the menu and what they had were completely different. I attempted to order the cinnamon toast crunch ice cream and was told they no longer had it. While heartbroken, I decided to go with chocolate chip cookie dough. This is a solid choice and an American classic. The problem is about 30 minutes later a woman sat down next to me with the cinnamon toast crunch ice cream. I personally would've waited 30 minutes to get ice cream, but I suppose the gentleman working would not have known that. Either way, they should inform customers or take it off the menu until it has arrived. If you're waiting for your train I would definitely recommend stopping by. Who doesn't love ice cream especially on a warm day?!

Yelp
YUM. We ordered banana, mint cookies and cream, and a seasonal pumpkin chocolate flavor. All of them were so delicious! The mint cookies and cream one was like a fantastic combination of chocolate chips with vanilla and mint, great if you're into those flavors. If you like cozy, fall flavors then the pumpkin one is for you. It has chocolate chips in it and a really bold flavor. This might have been my favorite! If you're into banana, the banana ice cream taste exactly like real banana. None of that artificial flavor LOL

Yelp
Delicious boozey shakes! Need I say more? In search of some ice cream, we found ourselves at this lovely ice cream spot inside the beautiful Union Station. We both opted for the boozey shakes. You just pick an ice cream and a liquor (rum, vodka, spiced rum, Khalua, baileys, etc.) I got the bananas foster ice cream with spiced rum while my friend did a classic vanilla with baileys. I think the shake was about 12oz, closer to a cocktail size, and it was properly boozey. Some places do boozey shakes but the shake itself is way too big and will only have a shot so you can barely taste it. This was the perfect size and ratio. At $10, I thought it was a fair prize and would do it again. The ice cream by itself was good too - I liked the banana foster and coconut flavors a lot.
