Milkcrate Cafe

Great place! I find myself coming back here a lot due to the quality of everything really. The food in particular is excellent. It's advertised as a coffee shop, but again, the food here is also really solid and made in house (I like their BEC bagels the most). There's also a cool CD/record collection with very fair pricing.

A laid back cafe you can go do work or have meetings at . Everyone is respectable and greets you with a smile .

I am visiting from Tallahassee, Florida, and while I was walking, I came across the the Milk Crate Cafe . I was unsure of what to order and they were very helpful and helped me decide what I should get. I decided to get 3 BLT lunch boxes that came with Chips. While I waited on my order I looked at all the cool records they had on display. Some of those old records were only $5!! If you collect old records then definitely stop by here. The atmosphere was definitely a vibe. The BLTs were delicious! We really enjoyed them. My cousin is STILL is talking about how good it was😀 Adam and Mina… Big thanks you guys are awesome. I will definitely be back yall made this Tallahassee girl feel sooo welcome 🤗 ☺️

This multi-use space works beautifully as both coffee shop and record store. The music selection playing is superb and I always keep my headphones off. The drinks are solid, I like the tea options, and they have a few little snacks for purchase. I come here for the vibes, it’s a great space to be creative or chat with a friend, and is simply stunning to glance around at while there.

I stopped by this shop today as a new coffee drinker . I want to say how the barista & the owner were both so nice & welcoming. The owner was busy & still took the time to speak to me. I got a caramel latte and it was really good . I also got a bacon & and cheese of an everything bagel & it was flavorful & delicious . The atmosphere is nice & dim . I was able to get a lot of reading done . I’ll be returning 🫶🏾

Food We ordered specialty coffees along with a platter of Milk Cakes, which included pancakes, scrambled eggs, and fresh breakfast potatoes, and we added a side of bacon. Additionally, we decided to indulge in a freshly baked croissant. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions, which were more than sufficient for the two of us for brunch. The café provided an array of condiments, including bottles (rather than individual packets) of ketchup, syrup, hot sauce, salt, pepper, and more. The food was served hot, made to order, and beautifully seasoned. Service We placed our order at the register and collected it at the counter. The staff members we encountered were genuinely cheerful and appeared to take pleasure in their work. Atmosphere The dining area was tastefully designed, offering a significantly larger space compared to many other local coffee shops in West Philly. We truly appreciated the ample room and the distance between tables.

The perfect, cozy cafe to relax or read a book in. They are usually playing cool music, sometimes rock or jazz. Greatly enjoyed the lavender iced matcha latte. The food is excellent too. The seating is comfortable and it is usually not too crowded in the afternoon. Staff is friendly and quick. Thank you Milkcrate 🙏 side note: I found some $3 Nine inch nails CDs here!

This is a cute neighborhood spot. Good coffee and music vibes. Glad they have protein options on the menu. I liked the egg sandwich but would have loved it if the bread is not just toasted but pressed, so the cheese could do its cheese magic and the bread would be not hard to bite into. But, overall great spot

Gods music, good coffee, good vibes. If you need a place to work and listen to some good music grab some coffee and have a bite to eat this place is it.

The decor of this place is what's keeping this review from being 1 star. From the coppery colored moulded ceilings, interesting vintage music newspaper article wall paper, ephemera like old radios,-- I also loved the amount of daylight the windows let in. The selection of vinyl, was small but broad in range, there were also lots of $2 cds which I appreciated. Onto the beverages, my Americano tasted quite burnt...the espresso does not lie, even while the barista that gave it to me was nice enough and the matcha was watery. I would have perhaps overlooked leaving a review at all, but the music that was playing absolutely took me out. I could only describe it as religious, maybe a bit punk, mixed with rockabilly? It was particularly jarring because I was surrounded by lots of music that I think would be a better inspiration for what to play for patrons. It would be interesting if the music that was played at the cafe tied into the wallpaper or the selections offered for sale. Would consider coming back...but there's many options in the area

I was in town visiting from NYC and Milkcrate was a short walk from the rental house we had. The shop has plenty of seating and a cool vibe. They have many records for sale at reasonable prices. The breakfast menu has a good selection of breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, avocado toast, etc. I had an everything bagel with egg and cheese. The bagel is probably smaller than your average bagel (though being from NY maybe our bagels are just too big). But it was delicious. The drink menu was pretty extensive. I had a hot chai with oat milk that was good. Staff was super kind and the food came out quick. Awesome little cafe in the neighborhood.

Record store coffee shop. Top notch collection of Vinyls. We got breakfast tacos with sausage because they ran out of chorizo and a BLT. Tacos still turned out great and the pico was fresh. The BLT had fresh ingredients,too. The cold brew was too bitter for our taste. Overall, good spot for a quick bite in a cool atmosphere.

I like this MilkCrate almost as much as I like the other one in Fishtown. I think this spot on Baltimore Ave is a great location because of how accessible it is. The vibe is relaxed and cool like you'd expect from a coffee shop. I would totally make this my neighborhood coffee place if I lived closer/ if I didn't work so many days in the office. The coffee was very tasty as well, in case thats what you're here for!

This location had various coffee shop in the past, but this Milkcrate seems very promising. I truly hope this stays here for a very long time. I love how they renovated the space inside, esp the ceiling. They have various vinyl records for sale (many used, but enough new). I purchased some vinyls from them and it is fun to look through various records. The service is awesome, really friendly and very helpful. I have not tried their breakfast sandwiches yet, but every time I got their coffee it has been just how I like it. The seating areas are comfortable enough; the only "complaint" is I wish I can look through their record collections without feeling I am intruding on people who are seated right nearby. I don't like the feeling of eavesdropping on their conversations

The most delicious matcha!!! I get the iced matcha latte with strawberry shot and skim milk.

This is a cafe known for their experience/vibe/ambiance. It's calming, a great place to chat, do work, or just chill. Coffee is mid but who actually goes to a cafe for the coffee itself, am I right ;)

New fan of milk crate. Bagel never stale coffee always delicious. Try the caper cream cheese. Really cool selection of records, cds and music memorabilia that can get pricey but it's very curated. Great place to chill, love a coffee shop record store combo.

Love the atmosphere but don't appreciate the obvious micro aggressions coming from the barista named Emily with the medium hair giving me my drink this morning. It was weird as hell.

had to throw you Five Stars for the chocolate chip cookie!!! it blew me outta the water. will definitely be returning for the cookies and to try the other baked goods. heard the coffee was delicious too :)
