Milkvue & DIY tea lab

Very simple shop. Their selection has enough items, but is on the limited side compared a typical donut shop or tea shop. I still enjoy stoping by because they are good enough and are in a convenient location by the space needle. With that said, I actually got a great parking spot during rush hour. There is plenty of parking in this area in general, but beware street parking is slightly limited and the rest of the parking is in the paid lots nearby. One thing I really appreciate is their service. I always enjoy a quick conversation with the teller while making a decision. They are fairly helpful. My favorite part about coming is their bubble donuts. They have a pleasant flavor, but I will admit, I do wish they had a bit more flavor on a few of their options. This does not mean they are short of yummy. They will let you sample the different flavors. Take advantage of this because some of the flavors will surprise you. Their lychee is my favorite so far, but unfortunately they haven't offered it at this location when I've been. The teller mentioned them having it maybe one day since he's worked there. Bubble donuts are great because you can break them apart. I love coming with friends so we can share. Last let's talk about their tea, in my opinion their tea is hit or miss. It also is missing the stand out flare that some of the other shops offer. I've had some flavors that were better than others but I happily finished every tea I've ordered. Be careful with the ube topping, it can be very strong. Once I mixed mine in, I could no longer taste the passionfruit flavor. The passionfruit and lime also was missing that fruity citrusy passionfruit flavor and lime flavors I love. My partners peachy teach tasted almost like grape kool aid which was not what she was expecting. I don't remember the other two flavors I had, but the first few I had were spot on. Maybe it depends on the day and tender. The interior is pleasant and fairly clean. Space is very limited. I've never eaten my donuts inside. Usually just to go. They have a really enjoyable outdoor dining area, but it is exposed so beware of rainy days. Yes the ares around the space needle are finally coming back to life. If you're in the area and want tea or bubble donuts, do not pass them up. I have. Feeling they will have something you'll like, even if it's not the first thing you try.

This is a brand new cafe right opposite the needle.. Well Starbucks is overrated, the iced mocha here was the best I have had in Seattle so far. They are 3 days old, but the doughnuts are seasoned. The blueberry lavender ice cream was a highlight for us. Lavender notes with amazing blueberry flavor and less sugar… The staff is awesome… I am sure this place would attract a lot of Seattle tourists…

It’s a cute little tucked away bubble tea shop really close to the Space Needle. It’s a quiet corner that’s little hidden but perhaps that’s the charm. The shop also offers a variety of cute snacks like mochi donuts with custom flavors, spam sushi, and ice cream. It’s now my new favorite afternoon hangout spot.

I'm not sure why the place is called DIY if you can't make the tea yourself. They also had a menu, which I tried to order from, but the cashier told me that the menu had not been updated. So I wasn't sure what to order; it was very confusing

Really good flavors and an interesting selection. The drinks from this shop are very sweet, so take that into consideration when selecting your sweetness percentage. A few of us ordered 50% sweet and wished we had gone 30%. The donuts and baked goods were delightful.

This place is awesome! They have bubble tea, mochi donuts, and ice cream! I got the Sea Salt Ube Milk Tea as recommended by one of the employees with some tapioca Boba and it was so tasty! I also got an Ube Mochi Donut to pair and it was so airy and delicious! My partner got the blue ocean with some popping strawberry Boba, also recommended by the nice gentleman who helped us, and it was darn good! The people who work here are so nice and helpful, and just genuinely happy to talk with you!

Randomly came across this place & so glad I stopped. First of all, the person helping me was so nice, genuinely. I got the blueberry lavender mochinut (so effing good) and the sea salt ube milk tea (4/5 stars cause it stained my lips lol). Would definitely rec and they put the right amount of boba in the drink.

I got vanilla sprinkle, churros, coffee, and raspberry (my favorite). The texture is between mochi donut and a regular donut, but it hit the craving for mochi donuts. I wouldn’t go out of my way for this place, but if I was passing by, I’d probably stop in

Amazing place close by the space needle. Their mochi donuts have a chewy consistency and they have a wide range of flavors. We got a four pack and devoured them quickly. Their drip coffee is fine, goes well with the donuts. Cookies and cream is the best. Ambiance is chill.

Just because it looks like a mochi donut it doesnt mean it has the taste like a mochi donut. Mochi donuts to me, in my opinion, are light and airy compared to regular donuts that are fluffy and compact. Milkvue's donuts are literally just mochi shaped donuts glazed with flavor but are made like a regular donut. I ordered a churro donut and its literally just a regular donut with cinnamon on top. I also ordered a cookies n cream donut. Didnt taste bad though. My sister-in-law ordered a Ube donut and it did not taste like Ube at all. Sadly, their bubble tea also missed. I ordered a Black Sesame Milk Tea and it was watery. Didnt matter how much I shaked it, the flavor was rare throughout the drink rather than consistent. My sister-in-law ordered a Life is Peachy Boba and didnt mind that one. Staff was friendly and got our orders done in about 2 minutes. When we arrived on a weekday after 5 pm, it wasnt busy at all. The tables outside were already taken though (only 4 tables were present outside from what I could see) for a sunny hot day. Overall, I will not come back.

Quiet, nice and chill spot to talk and hang out with friends. I wish the drinks were shaken / better mixed. The baristas were nice. I was really unimpressed by the ube latte. It definitely needs a sweet cream or recommended with milk. I wish there was a picture or a description, most ube lattes I've had have milk. The ube sat on top like a cold foam but came with a straw lid? I was confused. Donuts were pretty good, but when are they not. Would come again for ambiance but nothing else really.

I never met a mochi donut I disliked until now. Met up with some friends staying on the area and this just happened to be nearby for a late AM treat. While the classic chewy mochi texture was there, the flavors were diabetic-level sweet and artificial. The glaze crumbled off very easily and just didn't seem compatible. Compared to places like Dochi and Mochinut, the quality here is just inferior. They do have DIY Tea Lab menu to order from as well a musubis too at least.

I am fairly impressed with the mochi donuts here - our team ordered a bunch of mochi donuts (8 different kinds) and being the foodie I am, sampled each of them, 1 ball each. There are 8 balls to 1 donut. The donuts are overall very soft and should be consumed immediately as we brought it to-go and after less than an hour, it looked a bit melted in room temperature. Matcha - decent, not my favorite Vanilla bean - a bit on the sweeter side Cookies and cream - ok, not much cookie flavor Ube - very strong flavor, one of my favorites Churro - lightly sweet and nice to savor the original flavor (the donut batter itself). A little flowery flavor, maybe from the surrounding donuts Blueberry lavender - very fruity Raspberry - tangy and sweet, a team favorite as this one ran out the fastest Strawberry rose - another one of my favorites, sweet but not as sweet as others, but sweeter than churro. Very fruity

Needed caffeine asap after walking around the Seattle center all day so we stopped in here for coffee and mochi donuts. It's cute and clean inside, the staff were all young people but very helpful, quick service, and they had a ton of options to choose from for both drinks and donuts. We just had a basic coffee and tea but we also tried a couple of donuts and they were amazing! I think mochi donuts might be my new favorite type of donut! They're soft but chewy and the donut itself is only mildly sweet but the toppings on it add even more texture and flavor. We tried the strawberry and the churro donut. Both were excellent and they were continuously bringing them out of the oven so they were fresh despite it being 6pm when we were there.

Never had Milkvue Handcrated Donuts + Coffee treats (or other popular mochi style doughnuts)...so today will be a new adventure (8/8/23). Nor have I been able to stop by their flagship site in Gig Harbor. The closest was driving on Hwy 16 from Bremerton via Tacoma Narrows Bridge to get to Puyallup, but couldn't detour. Major sad face! They received an Excellent rating with their Seattle/King Co inspection, so this morning was their soft opening! I literally hauled butt via Interbay to locate their new Seattle location at the Fisher/KOMO Plaza, by the Space Needle. Great walking proximity from South Lake Union, Queen Anne, and Belltown neighborhoods. Had no issue getting angled street parking off of 4th & Denny. And I was amazed that there wasn't a line at the former Caffeinated spot! The business collaboration with Milkvue Handcrafted Donuts + Coffee and DIY Tea Lab is brilliant - both location and product line wise. Coffee, boba/milk/fruit teas, fresh mochi-style doughnuts, and ice cream, yes they have you covered! There will be future merch and special events too. Great to see another brick and mortar site, in addition to their products featured at Olympia Coffee and Seattle Fish Guys. Love seeing cross pollination between all these local, indie businesses! Bright interior with natural light. Ample indoor table and counter seating. Also, pleasant outdoor seating in the Fisher/KOMO Plaza, adjacent to lovely garden beds. Good to note, there's 24/7 property security. Staff was welcoming and ready from the get go for their soft opening. It'll be a plus when they have separate compost, recycling, and garbage bins as they get further established. My 12oz mocha (Olympia beans!) was spot on, delicious. Great balance flavor, temperature wise plus nice latte art! I couldn't decide, so I bought one of each doughnut displayed. The Homie, I'm sure will later demolish them. Back at home, I ate halves of the strawberry and blueberry mochi-style doughnuts with some overeasy eggs. Made for a delicious brunch! Because of the first day and soft opening, customers were also gifted with free Milkvue ice cream. Featured were matcha, black sesame and peanut butter. Thanks Seung for your kind generosity! It was okay the place could've used a wipe down after every sit in customer leaves if time. I also ordered a Matcha boba with brown sugar tapioca but they were out. So I opted for rainbow jelly, along with that I ordered a Tamag Musubi but again they were out. About a 15-20 min wait for those. My matcha boba was not filled to the top which was a problem on there end the lady even looked at it and I still got charged 8 or 9 bucks for it. Wasn't mixed well it was really sweet on the bottom and grindy? Like raw sugar. Didn't like that. But the Tamago Musubi was pretty good. If they're popular enough to run out of both they should keep them regularly stocked. Customer service was good.

Beautiful ambiance, kind and welcoming staff members who offer their honest opinions of the menu, and delicious ice cream. Highly recommend their blueberry lavender ice cream-- I've never had anything like it! Such a unique flavor. Staff was kind enough to let me sit and work a bit before I ordered because I had a meeting coming up-- Wi-Fi also held up really well. Will be recommending this place to my friends!!

Went in 20 minutes after opening and my group was informed rather rudely that boba takes a long time to make and it won't be ready for an hour. I don't understand why a boba shop would not have boba for over an hour after opening but we said we would be back in an hour. We came back and we didn't even make it in the door before we were told it would be another hour. This was super disappointing and the service was shockingly rude.

The donuts at this place are next level. Best Mochi donuts I've ever had. Super fresh with flavors that pop. The ice cream is so delicious and the service is incredible. There were two gentlemen working the day I went and they were both so engaging and seemed to be genuinely happy to be there. If you find yourself in Seattle center craving something sweet then head over to this place and get yourself some tea and a killer donut. You will not regret it. I'll be back for sure.

The service was okay at most. The person working there just kind of threw them into the box and not arrange them like other mochi doughnut places. The taste was pretty bland and the glaze was too crusty/ flaky. Not really worth the price

The mochi doughnuts had an AMAZING flavor, I got the raspberry, blueberry lavender, vanilla bean sprinkle, and strawberry rose. It's way to hard to pick favorite, while for the boba drink I got, was not as great. Don't get me wrong, it was still good but it did not meet my expectations, I got the strawberry drink with tapioca and oat milk. While the boba had the perfect texture, the drink had an awkward tang to it. I ordered though DoorDash so I have no say on service or ambiance of the establishment but overall, I would highly recommend going there to get some doughnuts, I apologize for the bad photo, I had already devoured them before taking it.

Walk on over! Sweet heavenly goodness right here! The owners were out giving delightful samples of the ice cream, Mochi donuts. Oh so yummy! You won't regret it!! Walking steps from Space Needle and Museum of Pop Culture.

FIRST TIME here! It was an early Friday morning, was waiting for my scheduled booking for the space needle and wanted a drink and a light breakfast. Saw this cute little place and wanted to try it out! I'm glad I did. Walked in and was immediately welcomed by kind staff. There were plenty of choices for drinks, food, and mochi donuts. My friend and I decided to get their iced coffee, iced tea, matcha mochi donut, cookies & cream mochi donut, and two masubis (one was egg and other was egg and spam). Everything was delicious! We were also offered some samples of icecream (4 flavors- black sesame, vanilla bean, lavender (blueberry I think), and ube. (Not pictured as we were excited to try them!) Did not expected the samples so that was kind! And it was delicious as well! The inside was very cute, organized, and clean! Highly recommended if you're in the area! Would come back again when I visit!

Went here a few times and more than half the time there was something wrong. 2nd time there tea leaves were in our drinks so each sip we had some tea leaves so it was hard to chew our boba too. Next time around someone took my drink cause their order pick up system is literally calling out the drink name so anyone ordered the same drink after you could grab yours. I hope they read this and change their poor system. This isn't rocket science or anything new lol. Get a number or first name system like everyone else. Today they forgot to make my smoothie and gave an excuse because of their machine. But the guy made it right away. So dont know what machine problem he was referring to. It's cool if you forget since we all make mistakes. honesty would have been fine with me. My drink was not good either. Too sweet for my taste and about 85% liquid so don't think that qualifies as smoothie consistency. Its more like your boba with less ice. My friend ordered the taroberry drink and he didn't like it. He just left it on the table but our other friend grabbed it thinking he forgot but he purposely left it cause he did t like it. I told him to ask them to remake it but his Uber had arrived. That's too many problems for such few visits. Hopefully a new boba place will open in the area

Tried the mochi donuts at their new location near the Space Needle and they were delicious. A staff person or might have been the owner engaged us in a conversation when he heard we were in town visiting. He recommended places to eat. He was friendly and very helpful. Great place to stop by for a refreshing drink or coffee fix and delicious donuts.
