"A Montreal cocktail bar that leans into campy, highly Instagrammable avian-inspired glassware, a revival that nods to 1970s tiki fads and helps drinks stand out visually as part of the overall theatrics of the night out." - Laura Neilson

The Best Bars in Montreal | Eater Montreal

"It wasn’t the first to serve up cocktails in Pointe-Saint-Charles, but it certainly set the bar higher: Milky Way Cocktail Bar is the latest from the Barroco Hospitality Group — known for spots like Atwater Cocktail Club — but here, cocktails get turned up a notch further in every way, from the flavours at play to the glassware. Come for the drinks, and stay for the jungle terrarium skylight and vaporwave accents." - JP Karwacki

We had drinks and pizzas It was great we really enjoyed the drinks and pizzas. I liked the vibe. The staff were nice too and attentive. After 11, for each drink we paid only 5$ for each pizza.

A unique and outstanding cocktail bar! Excellent craftsmen behind the bar! Very welcoming attentive staff! Relaxed vibe! They use some obscure and interesting rums!

Hidden gem. Busy even on a weeknight. Delicious and cheap $5 pizza, couple different topping options as well. Amazing variety of drinks. Many of them are delicious. The place has a laid back vibe great hangout spot.

I love the vibe of this place beautiful drinks, cool hip menu. Beautiful lights, plants and a relaxed low-key atmosphere. Whats not to like. Haven't tried the food but everything else was great. Would return again :)

I came here with my friends who came all the way from Europe and we all agree that this bar is really unique. It’s a mix of a classy bar with some tropical twist. The music got a bit loud especially after 9:30-10:00pm, still it is a perfect place for a chill girls night out. However, the bar is a bit small so it’s going to suit better for small groups (4-5 people max).

The service was amazing! Both the waitress and the bartender provided us with an exceptional experience and made our visit even more enjoyable. As for the food, the pizza was good overall, and the arancini were tasty. However, the portion was quite small—only three pieces. It would be better to serve a larger portion or include more pieces.

Google
The bar is nice, cocktails were great, server and host too were pleasant, but 30 min wait to be seated for a bar for me it’s not worth it. I only waited because my friends were too tired to go anywhere else. I would not come back.

Google
We waited for about 20 minutes in line and we had gone at around 8:30 on a Saturday night. We ordered our drinks which were very good. We then ordered our food, but it took about 45 minutes to an hour to get. Our waiter realized how long we waited and decided not to charge us for our drinks as an apology! I got the fried calamari which i loved, and the mozzarella sticks which i also really liked. It was such a night atmosphere and i will be coming back.

Yelp
Drinks here are pretty mid, they do have cute mugs tho. Service was slow and they were pretty rude. Cool space tho and great for pictures!

Yelp
I totally loved the vibe of this place. We went on a chilly Monday night and the place was only about a third full. Our server was very friendly and came to check on us very often. We were there upon opening so we were seated immediately. I appreciated how the music wasn't loud or anything and we could hear each other perfectly. The bathroom stalls are right by the entrance across from the coat racks. Take a moment to snag a colorful selfie at the top of the stairs! The drink menu boasts super unique cocktails with many interesting ingredients. There were a couple of drinks that I got excited about only to read rose water or lavender (which I'm not a fan of) as one of the ingredients. In the end, I settled for a fool proof gin (house brand) and tonic. I ordered the pork and veal meatballs. They're crispy on the outside and smothered in tomato sauce and fresh grated cheese. They tasted alright, nothing amazing. My friend ordered the Pikashew vegan pizza and THAT was good. I'm not vegan but it really has a great taste and texture, thin crust. I liked that the sauce was slightly sweet. The venue and service was great. I'd love to come back to try their other cocktails when I'm in the mood. Pizza was solid but the appetizers were meh.

Yelp
Visited 14/9/24: Guillaume at the door- wore multiple hats around the bar and was outstanding. Man deserves a raise and praise. Helped my mother get situated up the stairs and into a table, handoff to our waitress was perfect and we felt well cared for and enjoyed our time - you've gotta go and see for yourself... Try the new Milk Punch cocktail. You won't be disappointed. Music was killer! One bop after another and at a volume that was fun but still allowed for conversation. Zero reasons not to come.

Yelp
Came here with the fiancé over our long weekend in Montreal and everything was incredible. Preach peach: delish drink that comes in a swan, flavors were great and would totally get again Pisco disco: alcoholic creamsicle: incredible Otro original: semi spicy mezcal drink, also incredible Bon pour le moral: delicious, super cute pineapple drink Early bird: delicious, has like an herbal vibe Garden party (sub gin for mezcal): probably our favorite drink of the night Our bartender Jacob was incredible and really took our experience to the next level, the service is absolutely fantastic and we would 100% come back in the future!

Yelp
Overall: this place is so fun! My only wish is that the drinks were space themed but that's just because of my Astro nerdy self. Drinks: they made a really good spicy marg (off menu) that my friend requested. Also made a pretty darn good pina colada. My personal favorite was the Bon pour le moral for my sweet tooth. Ambience/Decor/Service: really friendly service. Bonus to the waitress who looked like Eloise from Bridgerton. This ambience compared to their other one at Atwater is super fun for groups!

Yelp

Yelp
Very beautiful bar! Legit feels like you are in a milky way. Loved the service here, the bartender was extremely helpful is suggesting drinks and explaining them to us. However, this place does not serve any food.

Stephanie N.

Yelp
This bar has beautiful decor, amazing drinks, delicious food, and fantastic staff. The music was also great, this place is 10/10. Great place for drinks and good eats. Highly recommend the tonka dream cocktail, mozzarella sticks, wu-tang killa bees pizza, and cannoli. They also have select cocktails for $7, Sunday-Thursday from 6-8pm, we really liked the peach mule and watermelon mojito. Will definitely be back here!

Yelp
This neighborhood cocktail bar is one of the best speakeasy bars in Montréal and just happens to be part of the World's 50 Best! Hidden inside Fugazzi, getting here is like a little adult game. You wait in line, hoping you're at the right spot, you can't see Milky Way anywhere. Once you're there, and let in, you go up these cool glow in the dark stairs lit in neon lights, even going to the restrooms is fun! It feels like you're in a cosmos surrounded by twinkling stars! Once you're IN in, you feel like you're in a Miami art deco scene mixed with NYC! How do you get in? To be fair, they don't accept reservations walk-ins only! You of course, have to stand in the long line and anxiously wait to get in. The line goes pretty fast unless you're very hungry. It's the best spot to come to after dinner or you can order some Fugazzi items directly at your table! We came after dinner so we weren't starving but we did order some mozzarella sticks with our drinks! We got the Dishbe Dios and the Limari Rose both were pretty awesome! What truly makes this place be IT isn't their exceptional drinks but the whole vibe and simply being transported to another world for a couple of hours. It's truly a place where you can enjoy some music, drinks, food, celebrate and spend an awesome night out while in town. Milky Way has a special place in our hearts and truly made our Montréal trip unforgettable!

Yelp
We LOVED our experience here from the ambiance to the cocktails and special care put into each of them. Jacob truly is an artist and was so friendly and obviously passionate about his drink creations. Everything we had was superb and there's no need to list what we had because I'm sure every drink on their menu is exquisite. I had virgin drinks and he really catered to me and made exactly what I described. It's not often you come across a bartender like this. Do yourself a favor and pay a visit to this hidden gem, even if it's out of your way, it's worth the trip.

Yelp
One of the best aesthetic cocktail bars in Montreal and rated on TimeOut. This gem will stargaze you away. It's always a great time to go and try many of their cocktails.

Yelp
My new favorite bar in Montreal... The vibe is chill and trendy, lots of drink choices, and the snack menu is deep too. The couch is velvet, and very comfy Will definitely come back earlier in the night to try the snacks too.

Yelp
FANTASTIC drinks, vibes, and music! I seriously never wanted to leave! Knowledgeable staff that can do a lot with your high maintenance order-ers (me, when I get zealous about a cocktail). I tried a bit of every cocktail and am SO glad I came with a group so I could sample most of the menu. If I lived in Montreal, I would be bringing all my guests here!

Yelp
Milky Way Cocktail Bar is one of the best speakeasy bars in Montreal, Canada and the world as recognized by World's 50 Best in recent years. We decided to come right when they open during the day since we had seen how beautiful the inside looks when it's still bright out since they have a glass ceiling. Look for the black door on the right of Fugazzi. We tried a bunch of drinks including Island in the Sun, Marcus Hibiscus and Le Swan. Each all impressive in their own way with thoughtful ingredients and mixes and served in interesting glasses. As expected, some of the cocktails carry a higher price tag but in many ways it's worth it when you consider the entire experience and craftsmanship as a whole.

Yelp
Such a cute bar!! We almost didn't know where the entrance was. It wasn't really labeled and we were across the street. Bouncers were outside so that's how we knew. Didn't realize it was a speakeasy type. You walk up the stairs to go in. The entrance is all neon so cool. The bar is so pretty with the lights. The bar tender was soo helpful in picking out drinks explaining them. It's low key for the most part. Not too crowded and not much space. I was happy we were able to get in because they don't take reservations and it's pretty small. I was intrigued by the name of course then when I saw pics I knew I had to go. Highly recommend! Great live DJ

Yelp
Talk about an atmospherically awesome speakeasy! It's for fresh fun and funky drinks. A tad loud for the speakeasy feel but such a cool atmosphere to be with friends. Tables are decently sized for a speakeasy for drinks. Loved the colors of the place and drinks. Drinks were easy to consume that I wish I had more time to try more! The service was a bit slower at busy 6-7p time but they were chill and responsive. They had great recommendations based on what we told them we liked. Totally cool place to check out in Quebec!

Yelp
Heard great reviews about this place from my hotel concierge, and it's supposedly voted one of the hottest new bars in the world, so definitely wanted to check it out while in Montreal. Everyone said to arrive early, because it gets packed and seating is limited. Got there when it opened and didn't have to wait in a line or for seating. It's a really cool space, the drinks are really good, the brussle sprouts were outstanding! The truffle bread, not so much. Pizza was not memorable. Service was good! Overall, definitely worth a visit, it's a very unique bar, with cool vibes and good drinks!!

Yelp
From the owner of Foiegwa, this bar was in my must try list. We worked this weekend (Friday to Sunday), and we were short staff in the hospital. Sunday morning, we decided, we need to blow off some steam, and one of the colleague suggested Milky Way Cocktail Bar, and I got excited. The bar is situated in Pointe Saint Charles, a area that I would call ghetto (I lived in this area for over 15 years), but now cool restaurants, bars, and cafés are making this area a happening place, including Milky Way. Milky Way entrance is super funky with the the glow in the wall. When I entered the bar, I was mesmerized how beautiful this place is with glass rooftop; I am sure in the summer, this bar will be looking fantastic here. Our waitress was so good that she knew all the drinks to the details. She was also very honest when she brought the Smokey old fashioned, in a Russian doll (so cool, see the video), she mentioned she never tried this drink, and she wanted our feedback. We were six people, two rounds of different cocktails, and some food in us were amazing reward for our hard work. Cocktails were beautifully and fun way presented. Some of them tasted amazing, some were ok, but nothing bad. I had the rigatoni, and I drizzled a bit of spicy oil. Omg, it was an absolute delight. In the end, our waitress was closing, someone else was taking over, so our waitress (the first one) gave us complimentary shots. She knew we came after work and we were exhausted. It was an amazing gesture that we appreciated. The prices were moderate, maybe the food was slightly overpriced. Anyway, can't wait to come back again!

Yelp
I was browsing yelp for bars close by and this one popped up. Once I saw it's been voted one of the top bars in the world I had pretty high expectations. Milky Way did not disappoint. The cocktails were the kind of quality concoctions that are high in alcohol content and contain interesting combinations but are so well made and balanced that they go down surprisingly smooth. The food being delicious was an unexpected bonus. The pizza sauce was very fresh and the crust had a nice crispy char. When I say the tuna crudo was the best I've ever had...I've had a lot of crudo. Last but not least, I was pleasantly surprised when the bill came. The prices are so reasonable for the level of service and care that goes into every plate and drink. Please do yourself a favor and go out if your way to stop in here when in Montreal. (We went immediately when it opened at 5 and got right in. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a line outside at more peak hours)

Yelp
Came here with a few friends and we waited an unexpectedly long time outside considering it was 8:30. Luckily the bouncer was super friendly and entertaining and told us a lot of fun stories. Most importantly he recommended we try the meatballs and said they were the best thing there. He was not wrong. Those meatballs were amazing. Crispy on the outside and stuffed with cheese. We ordered 9, got some pizza, boxed the pizza and then ordered 9 more. I was thinking about these meatballs for a while and now I'm thinking about them again. They get their food from fugazzi pizza below, and I love a bar that has good food. Anyway, on to the actual bar part, it's a very cute bar with a kind of electric tiki bar theme. The drinks are mostly pretty sweet, but they have some fun ingredients and a lot of them come in cool glasses. I drank the vol de nuit out of the tail of a bird. Probably my favorite drink was the Ballin in Paris (another good rec from the bouncer!) It's a somewhat pricey cocktail bar but my friends and I had a great time, and I'm looking forward to going back!

Yelp
What a cool spot! This came recommended to us by several locals and it was clear why. While it is a popular destination that is s bit off of the beaten path, it is worth the visit (and possibly the wait). We were able to get in with no reservation around midnight on a Saturday. The place has a speakeasy vibe and the staff was super chill and friendly. They played amazing music and the lounge area was comfortable and great for talking while enjoying drinks. Their cocktails were excellent and it felt a little exclusive without being pretentious. I look forward to our next visit!
google avatar

Hiromi T.

Yelp
It was a bit packed inside, but overall, very good experience! Drinks were on the expensive side, but that's to be expected at a speakeasy bar. However, drinks were really good and the servers/bartenders were super nice! The biggest shocker for me was the fact that they knew who ordered what drink without us telling who's card was on the tab (I secretly think they're psychic). Came to Montréal for a getaway trip and would definitely make the trip back here again!
google avatar

Jordyn N.

Yelp
So cute and had a good selection of drinks. The drinks are on the pricey side. Great atmosphere at the bar. It feels very tropical. The bathrooms as i remembered were completely dark without any lighting however. The day we went was cold so the line outside was not too long
google avatar

Olivier T.

Yelp
google avatar

Rita P.

Yelp
I'm giving this a four-star, although it's a nice place to go a little small when it gets crowded it's crowded. They have a good music. I am not 100% sure there's food. I never ate there. I've tried a few of their drinks which are very fancy quite pricey but nicely presented.

Cindy Feng Xin L.

Yelp
I went to Milk Way for happy hour after work and the door was so hidden that we walked past it. When we got to the place, I found it really nice. The interior decor is amazing, I love it! I tried the Maillot blanc, and it's a good choice! My colleagues also appreciated their drinks, as well as their pizzas. This week I went back again with my boyfriend and I took Island in the Sun this time, it's also great! I love the experience at this beautiful bar with great ambiance.

Yelp
My first hour and a half wait to get into a bar. Cool atmosphere, good music and great drinks. Hard to justify that wait for anything though.

Yelp
I was visiting Montreal for about a week in December and knew Milky Way was a priority for me to check out. After reading several reviews, I knew that the line to get in was no joke, so we decided to visit on a Thursday night (an attempt to avoid peak weekend). We walked over, noting that the neighborhood was quiet and empty, and had hopes that we'd get in quickly. Nope, ha. We arrived at about 8 PM and ended up waiting over an hour in the cold to get inside. Even though we had to wait an hour, it was one of the most comfortable line experiences I've ever had. The man at the door was friendly and helpful if we had any questions and we were warmed under the glow of heating lamps. Clearly, with this being the only busy spot on the entire street, we knew were were in for a treat. Eventually, we got inside and were seated at an elevated two top facing the bar. I didn't love these seats - it was kind of hard to have a conversation, but, it did provide a great view of their beautiful bar. I think this place probably looks best as the sun is going down, but it still is quite magical at night. Something great about this bar, too, is that they make sure there are only as many people as there are seats. There's nothing worse than being at a packed bar and not even being able to move, so I love when there's some control at the door, even if that's what causes the long lines. Drink wise, between the two of us, we tried several tasty concoctions but my favorite was definitely the Disco Pisco. Highly recommend if you're wanting something both tasty and picturesque! Ultimately, I'd definitely head back to Milky Way bar. I would recommend getting there when they open if you want to avoid that line, though!
google avatar

Kandi R.

Yelp
This place has been on my list since it opened. I'm not a big trendy kinda gal, that means if it's trendy: I usually avoid it like the plague until the hype dies down. So after 8 months past opening, with all of Mtl's new hot spots to discover, I figured it was finally safe to attempt, I was right. No line up on a Saturday around 5pm and only a slight line up (1 group of 5-6 waiting for a group spot) when we were leaving around 9pm. Despite being "not trendy", I am a sucker for a speakeasy. I love the idea and concept and I bookmark every one I come across hoping it will be a true hidden gem to discover. Thus far, my impression is that speakeasies in the social media era are impossible to actually hide. Milky Way is no different. Sure, there's no sign saying "here's Milky Way!" with an arrow pointing, but the bright neon painted doorway is enuf to give it away. Not difficult at all to spot. The food is served by the sister resto downstairs and sucks. Don't bother with the food here, anyone who says it's good is just being nice for no reason. It's overpriced and just meh. We tried the cheesesticks which were entirely disappointing (tough and chewy and tasteless). We also tried the meatballs, these were much, much better, but still not worth recommending nor getting again, the meat was fine, the sauce was fine but nothing to write home about. The drinks are amazinnnnnnggggg! Highly impressed with the cocktail list here. These ppl ain't faking their skillz or just trying too hard. They hit the spot with every drink we tried! And quite the extensive list to boot! Would order them all again, but specifically I must mention the Merkel's Cup which is their shared pitcher-like cocktail (it comes in a copper kettle-looking bucket). It tastes like a Pimm's Cup with added freshness and sweetness and it's pink (not green/clear like a usual Pimm's cup). A perfect drink for a summer evening for sure! The atmosphere is soothing and gorgeous, like being in lil urban jungle. We adored the skylight, the seating, the decorations and especially the plants everywhere. The service was fantastic too, sweet knowledgeable staff are friendly and accommodating. These people know how to recommend a drink so if you're overwhelmed by the options don't hesitate to ask, these guys know their stuff! If it weren't for the food this place would be 5 stars for sure. Definitely coming back and definitely recommend, but eat before you come. P.S. These guys are associated to Atwater Cocktail Club and the folks at Foiegwa too so if you notice similarities: it's not just in your head.

Yelp
As you face Fugazzi Pizza front door, look on your right for a cheesy leopard skin door with an orange light. That's the way to Milky Way Cocktail Bar! Then when you climb up the stairs you're being transported through a magical black light decorated universe imagined by the creative spirits of the Barrocco group owners. The room opens up to a drinking scene that is a refreshing mix of Miami meets Manhattan style with newfangled twists. Definitely a place to impress someone let it be a date, a client, a visiting family member with your intimate knowledge of Montreal's nightlife scene and did I mention the people watching? The pros behind the long neon lit bar have their handcrafted cocktail game under control with fun-loving penchant for '80s cheesiness cocktail glasses - it's hard not to have a good time here. When flipping through the menu, you'll notice a little symbol next to the signature cocktails... Disco Pisco: Pisco, Luxardo Aperitivo, Vanilla Liqueur, Galliano, Lemon and Orgeat is served in a disco ball glass. Marcus Hubiscus: Three Star Rhum Plantation, Rhum Plantation Dark, Crème de Menthe, Hibiscus, Coconut, Mint, Absinthe is served in a Easter Island Moia Statue. Marine Dream: Sherry medium, Aquavit, Pimm's, Lemon, Thyme, Celeri Bitters, Raspberry, Prosecco is served in a giant shiny flamingo. And there are more original mixes served in regular cocktail glasses and even some lighter drinks or non-alcoholic choices too. Also on the menu are pizzas and pastas from Fugazzi downstairs so that you can munch on something and don't pass out too quickly. The seating area is split between low but comfy benches and stools on one side and actually movable taller stools on the bar side leaving a lot of room to stand but not enough to dance? So a little bit ackward at first but will probably resolve itself as the space crowds up. Milky Way Cocktail Bar is a very nice addition to Pointe St-Charles filling much needed hot spots to satisfy your libations desires under a giant glass dome which will allow you to gaze at the stars on clear nights. Hope to see you there!

Yelp
My friend and I came here on a Sunday night so the bouncer let us in right away. Walking in, you are blinded by the bright neon walls but in a good way. Once you're up the stairs however, the bar goes from funky to a tropical jungle vibe. A lot of greenery in the ceilings and even the noise of birds chirping in the bathrooms! We sat at the long booth, which I really like because it allowed you to sit close to each other without having to yell to beat the loud music. I'm no cocktail expert, but the menu had a lot of variety, was very elaborate and the prices were not that bad. I had the Milky Way which tasted fine. The service was was average but the waiter was friendly. I really like that even the drinks respected the theme by being served in wacky glasses, which just makes drinking even more fun! We couldn't try the food as the kitchen was closed when we got here, so I'll have to come back to try it! I definitely recommend going here on a quieter night as a place to grab drinks, admire the decor, listen to good music and enjoy the unique and cool vibe Milky Way offered. A solid 5 star!

Yelp
We went on Saturday night around 11, bouncer was nice, the vibes and music was fun, server was attentive and friendly. The drinks were strong and we had a great time. No place to take nice pictures with the girls, just had to live in the moment.

Yelp
A M B I A N C E So this place is super trendy right now. We arrived on a Monday night around 6:30, walked right in and sat down. They were playing some weird music, it sounded like tribal yelling... We were heading to the Ariana Grande concert at the Bell Centre so this was not the place to grab a drink and groove. It was full of 'regulars' in business suits who immediately sat at the bar. C L E A N L I N E S S We arrived early on a Monday night... So everything looked good. But the bathroom is so dark... Not a place to reapply lipstick that's for sure. O V E R A L L Q U A L I T Y We ordered the Flamingo drink and I was presently surprised! This drink was actually awesome! There was raspberries inside and what my sister referred to as "salad". The waitress was nice enough, came to check on us once or twice. Was a pleasant experience. C O S T $16 for the Flamingo drink, plus tip... The waitress also stood right behind me as I was paying... Which wasn't the best vibe for me... W A I T T I M E S We sat down right away and it only took a couple of minutes to get our drinks. Not bad. P A R K I N G Parking on Centre Street and nearby side streets. L O C A T I O N There is no sign outside... You only know if you know....

Yelp
Upstairs from Fugazzi, enter the galaxy of the Milky Way where we were treated to an extended spirits' tasting of some familiar and some unique and flavorful whiskeys, brandies, rums, and gins. We finished with the rare treat of a licorice-y Absinthe. Yeah, we broke all the rules and mixed it up but we weren't worried courtesy of the delicious foods to wash down our delicious tastings. The bar itself is a lengthy galley mirrored on all sides and filled with the hip and friendly crowd. The bartenders' love flavors each cocktail and the wait staff brought just the right light and life to our party. Yet another jewel in the Montreal party scene!

Yelp
It's just another hipster spot in Montreal's Sud-ouest area in Pointe St. Charles. This area has really been hit hard by gentrification in the last 10 years and this is exactly the kind of place that opens up in the wake of gentrification. Came here a few weeks ago with some friends who were visiting from Athens and while the food is actually quite good and the drinks have memorable names and presentations with epic ice-cubes, there is a definite meat-market vibe happening as well with all the millennial hipsters cramming this place. I'm too old for this scene.

Yelp
A lush, Miami Vice-esque spot with smiles, fêtes, and dates, Intimate in space and bumping in popularity, if you want a seat be sure not to arrive late, We sipped on concoctions more blinged out than the crowd and delicious, greasy food we ate. However, the highlight of the soirée was the ever so bubbly and effervescent Kate! Star speckled greenery soundtracked to Sade and laughter, 'tis a swell spot for myself to intoxicate But the centrepiece of this neon dream remains Kate, who one cannot simply duplicate Superb energy, organic conversationalist and positivity innate Kate, worry not looking for the rainbow when sunshine is what you naturally radiate!

Yelp
Absolutely terrible service. Do not waste your time trying to get in here. Bouncer chose groups at the back of the line and was incredibly rude and distasteful. I have never experienced such disgusting and rude customer service. Manager was rude and Unwilling to accommodate us. There are tons of amazing bars in this city. Don't waste your time, money and energy on this one.

Yelp
This place is a replica of the Atwater cocktail club with more greenery and a sun roof. It is very nice, especially the neon UV painted walkway that leads to the bar! I thought the seats were located too closely, leaving no privacy in between customers. On busy nights, its hard to flag down a server as you will go unseen. The drink menu is creative and nice with fair pricing. As this is located a bit further out from the city, I would only make my way here if I was in the area.

Yelp
We came, put our name on the list. The guy at the entrance told us it would be 1h until we can get in and took my number. He wasnt nice or courteous but whatever we went fir a poutine in the meantime and came back after an hour he told me that i'll still have to wait for 30 mns. At this point i felt like he was acting weird, because some people just came and got it. So we've decided to park right in front of the bar and to spy on him. He left a bunch of people in without even punching on the list. But as soon as he saw me looking at him i instantly receive a message saying table is ready and when i go to him he had the audacity to act clueless and asked for my name and text whatever. I figured out the bar is owned by the same group from atwater cocktail club and i love this place and the service so much i was shook. Maybe they should call this bouncer out because THIS AINT IT. But the lady at the coat check and the hostess were so nice THUMBS UP. They have original drinks that are quite tasty. Our waiter was honestly such a gem, he even offered us complementary shots because we had to wait a while fir the drinks which is understandable because the place was packed. I will probably be back because it was a nice laid back atmosphere and loved the concept of the bar BUT if the bouncer tries it again i'll have to call him out because this kind of behaviour is unacceptable.

Yelp
Great creative and fairly priced drinks. Beautiful setting and original decoration (rare for MTL!). I also would like to thank the bar for using a transparent and efficient waiting list system. Basically, you show up and if the place is full, the doorman takes your name and number. You then receive a txt and you can follow your position in the waiting list while having a drink at the bar next door. No fake lineups there, and this is very appreciated.

Yelp
The bar is beautiful, the decor screams jungle and tropical vibes. the cocktails are not so good though, a bit medicinal tasting and not strong at all. the idea of infusing the alcohol and using good ingredients is amazing, but the drinks need a bit more taste and depth. the description they give each cocktail is a bit misleading. our cocktails didn't taste at all like we thought, a bit bland like an iced herbal tea or something. 10/10 for the pretty space though

Yelp
Interesting concept and funky cocktails! Their food and drinks are good. Staff is friendly. However, the music was a bit too loud considering that this place isn't a club. Also, the bathrooms were foul-smelling. They should definitely be cleaned more often!

Yelp
The service was pretty much non-existent while I was there, but funny enough, I'd highly recommend checking them out and giving them a try. The bar is one of the more beautiful bars I've ever seen, and you can order pretty delicious pizza from Fugazzi downstairs. Both cocktails I tried were good, but I wouldn't order again. The tainted Love had a good level of alcohol, but not sure about the olive inside or the overall balance of the drink.

Yelp
they told us if you're a big group show up early as we don't reserve so we showed up at the opening. they still made us wait 20 mins in the cold only to turns us around under the pretext that 13 people were too many even though no one had arrived yet bf we were having supper and a meal. I'd give -10stars if I could.

Yelp
A bit of a wait on a Saturday night, but amazing cocktails, great service, and the best server I have ever had at any bar. She was seriously an angel and deserves to be recognized. We watched her smile and be as warm to customers as possible, we even watched her offer to take a group photo when she walked past and saw that they were trying to take one themselves. We are from New York and we were visiting Montreal for a weekend, and this type of service is impossible to find where we're from! The interior and vibe of this bar are great, and we'll be coming back!

Yelp
Yes! Found a sweet speak easy in Montréal and it's also got pizza based on their restaurant below. Vibes are also super cool but currently there's a bit of a wait so go early. Sitting on the bar wasn't too comfortable but I totally would come back and try to find a nice seating. Recommended for all occasions.

Yelp
When I first heard about Milky Way I thought it looked very cool and so I put it on my list of places to check out. As luck would have it I happened to be having dinner nearby with friends one night so we popped by for a drink afterwards. There is no sign out front so you can easily walk by and miss it. Once you find the door you will enter into the very funky neon entryway which leads you into the actual bar. It was pretty packed on a Friday but we succeeded in finding a table. The menu is reasonably priced and the cocktails for me were just okay. They didn't really blow me away. We also had trouble getting the server's attention at times. I would come back here if I was in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.
