Mille Sens

It’s my fiance’s first time to Europe. Our first stop was Bern and I wanted to treat her to a special dinner to commemorate the occasion. We came across Mille Sens in various travel forums and Google Reviews and decided to try it. The service was great, food was also very unique and delicious, and chef Domingo came by to greet us. My fiance collects unique wine bottles, and wanted to keep the label from the Italian wine we had that night. Chef Domingo placed on a card and wrote a note for her. It’s such a great gesture. We’d recommend checking out Mille Sens if you’re in Bern. If you stay at Savoy hotel, you’ll also get a small discount when dining here.

Wonderful find in Bern. The food was amazing. A wonderful balance of delicate flavours and meat perfectly prepared (some of the most tender beef I've ever had). No photos of the amuse bouche and mains as dived straight in. But the rhubarb dessert with sorbets finished off a perfect evening.

I had a wonderful dining experience here. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The service was attentive, and it was a nice touch when the chef came to greet us after the meal. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and a welcoming atmosphere!

Mille Sans is phenomenal. Chef Domingo is one of the most creative cooks I have ever met - he brings influences from so many different cuisines from around the world into each meal, yet the dishes still fit together harmoniously. It’s no exaggeration to say I enjoyed Mille Sans more than my meals at various Michelin-starred restaurants. My family of three ate at Mille Sans for lunch (we shared two business executive lunch menus and a salad bowl), and were so blown away by the food that we returned for dinner, ordering the tavolata (a surprise sharing menu that the chef is happy to customize based on any dietary restrictions or dislikes you have). We deliberately walked around a lot between lunch and dinner to build up an appetite so that we could return! The dishes between lunch and dinner were totally different, but equally delicious. I have attached photos of a few of our dinner plates to this review. Chef Domingo is extremely personable and comes out to chat with the guests. The restaurant staff are also friendly and provided excellent service. Thank you for the wonderful meal - I will plan a return trip to Bern just to eat at this restaurant.

Elegant restaurant with a gourmet lunch menu. Portion sizes are perfect for a 3 course lunch. Service very attentive and friendly. Cuisine is delicious and mix of the local cuisine with a nod to the Filipino roots of the head chef. Highly appreciate the head chef personally coming out to greet us and to ask how the lunch was.

Underwhelming. For the vast positive reviews and considerable price tag, we expected an amazing romantic experience in Bern. The tasting menu is experimental and eclectic, but it’s not amazing. The pairing with the wine was great. Otherwise, just fine. But… the place is too well lit (bad) and too quiet (bad). It lacks any remarkable decor or ambience. And the food was “meh.” The staff was great, and our server was knowledgeable and extremely kind. She was attentive and thoughtful. But the lack of panache and standout dishes during our meal left us feeling underwhelmed. 3/5 seems somewhat generous considering the price. We weren’t wowed, really at all, during the meal.

5 star isnt enough for this place. Amazing, amazing, just amazing. Loved every bite! We opted for the 3-4 course and every dish was such a surprise. We also had a bottle of wine from Geneva (recommended by the chef) and it was the best wine we had this whole trip.

I highly recommend the exceptional combination of delectable cuisine and outstanding service, creating a truly remarkable dining experience. If you desire an unforgettable evening over a delicious dinner, this place is perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed the delightful 5-course surprise menu.

We came in as a group of 30 people. Needless to say we didn't expect to have great service. But to my surprise, this restaurant served as food very timely. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of their dishes. We have vegetarian and allergy with shell fish. The waiters and waitresses quickly identified these special requests and accommodated us. Food was very tasty and good quality. I highly recommend this place if you are in town.

Very interesting concept The soup wasnt to my liking because i prefer hot soup but it makes perfect sense to have cold soup because you wont be losing the temperature of the main courses after you finish the appetizer. Good flavours for the food in general and amazing house white wine & red wine (barbera). 10/10 for service, speaks fluent english and explained the menu, drink menu, and dishes well. Service flow was great as my friend and I got the plate at the same time. Overall, worth the price!

This was one of the best meals I have ever had! The service was low key and friendly. The dishes had fantastic combinations of ingredients and they were all delicious!! The dining room was lovely. I cannot say enough!
