Top Chef: Wisconsin Episode Two: How the Two Austin Chefs Did | Eater Austin

"The famed Milwaukee brewing company has long been a cornerstone of local life and is notable enough to supply settings such as an underground beer cave used for a multi‑course dinner challenge. Its flagship has been nicknamed the 'Champagne of beers,' and the brand’s history and cultural significance were invoked as part of a challenge that paired chefs to prepare courses using salty bar‑snack ingredients." - Eric Webb

Fabulous tour. Fabulous facilities. Fabulous history. This was one of my favorite brewery tours that I've been on. There's so much too see with so much to learn.. From the history of Milwaukee to the history of the Miller's, to all things beer. Our guide was amazing. Made the day fun and informative. This is something that I'll definitely do again if given the opportunity. Highly recommended.

Went here for a brewery tour. Our guides were awesome and very informative. The tour was to the point and very well laid out by the guide so we knew exactly where we were going, when and why. The samples kept coming too and were delicious. They also allow two samples at the end which might’ve been overkill for our 1030 am tour but free beer is free beer. They also give a free gift and their gift shop is awesome and super affordable. Spent a lot of time in there!

Booked the brewery tour. Our tour guides were awesome with wonderful knowledge and upbeat vibes. The history was cool to see and hear about. We got five beer samples, two of which were our choice. The souvenir we got was a Miller beer opener. Wish the tour had more information about the brewing process (like seeing samples of the barley through different stages until we get to the final product). Otherwise, great tour!

The Miller Brewing Company Tour is well-organized, educational, and fun. It’s a great activity for tourists visiting Milwaukee and locals looking to learn more about their city’s brewing heritage. The free beer samples and the chance to walk through a piece of American brewing history make it well worth the visit. From starting in the Visitor Center with your first sample of Miller Lite during the short video about the history of the company, you then head to the Brewing Facility to learn about the ingredients and the process that makes those ingredients into the beer that you enjoy. Then you head to the caves that were originally used to store the beer prior to shipping, which is now used for special events. It’s here that you have your second sample, which is Miller High Life, the Champagne of Beers. You then head to the Distribution Center to see the bottles and cans get ready to be shipped for our enjoyment. Then you head back to the Visitor Center to pick your final two samples and receive a free gift for taking the tour.

This tour is a good time for anyone interested in Miller's history or just big breweries in general. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. The tour lasts about an hour and a half and you get several cups of beer along the way. The only thing I think is missing is the lack of coverage for production. For the price of admission, I feel it is absolutely worth checking out if you are in Milwaukee.

The tour lasts about 75 minutes. It begins with a 10-minute film and a 4 oz pour of Miller Lite. Then, to the production room and a bit of brewing history. Across the street to the old Miller Cave and a pour of Miller Genuine. Next was the historic Miller restaurant and a pour of Blue Moon. We then headed to bottling and canning assembly lines for a short video and a view of the floor. Then to distribution with millions of cases that turn over every 3 days. Back to the lobby for another sample of your choice. James was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable. We got a free gift for the tour. I highly recommend.

When in Milwaukee you gotta do it! I’m bias and I’m an AB guy but I might have to switch it up. The tour guide was friendly, answered questions and kept us involved so to speak. The brewhouse was extremely hot, but that’s what it’s there for, but if you’re older or don’t deal with heat very well there’s an option to skip it.

Our tour guides Josh and Javie made our tour so much fun and interactive. The cave was super cool. We enjoyed the free samples of Milwaukee greatest beers.
