Top Chef: Wisconsin Episode Two: How the Two Austin Chefs Did | Eater Austin

"The famed Milwaukee brewing company has long been a cornerstone of local life and is notable enough to supply settings such as an underground beer cave used for a multi‑course dinner challenge. Its flagship has been nicknamed the 'Champagne of beers,' and the brand’s history and cultural significance were invoked as part of a challenge that paired chefs to prepare courses using salty bar‑snack ingredients." - Eric Webb

Holy buckets! I’ve been on many brewer tours in my life. However, this tour was head and shoulders above the others. The tour guide was an incredibly knowledgeable fella. I can’t remember his name but do remember two things about him. He just came from vacation and he recently had a ghost encounter. Bottom line, great tour. Capped off our weekend getaway from Seattle perfectly. Go Pack Go!

This place was a lot of fun to spend an afternoon for a tour, especially since the tour is only $15-$20. You also get a free bottle opener of high-quality is someone who didn’t drink Miller before I found the tour very fun and informative. You get a few beer samples along the way as well and interesting history of Wisconsin.

This is an awesome tour with lots to see and lots of history. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions we had. BE PREPARED TO WALK AND TAKE STAIRS. The tour walks you to various buildings and locations that show you the brewing process and Miller history. They offer samples throughout the length of the tour. The price of the tour is well worth it with what you get to see, the samples, and the gift at the end of the tour. The end of tour gift was a Miller bottle opener. The gift shop had a lot of merchandise from the wide variety of beers that Miller brews and it was reasonably priced. Definitely recommend this tour if you are looking for something to do in Milwaukee.

Fabulous tour. Fabulous facilities. Fabulous history. This was one of my favorite brewery tours that I've been on. There's so much too see with so much to learn.. From the history of Milwaukee to the history of the Miller's, to all things beer. Our guide was amazing. Made the day fun and informative. This is something that I'll definitely do again if given the opportunity. Highly recommended.

When in Milwaukee you gotta do it! I’m bias and I’m an AB guy but I might have to switch it up. The tour guide was friendly, answered questions and kept us involved so to speak. The brewhouse was extremely hot, but that’s what it’s there for, but if you’re older or don’t deal with heat very well there’s an option to skip it.

I was disappointed with the tour when compared to other brewery tours I’ve been on (New Belgium/Boulevard). The amount of beer you get is disappointing and the prices they have for buying more before or after the tour are a ripoff. Tried to buy a growler from the fridge after the tour and was told I couldn’t drink it on property… That being said, I wish we would’ve went to the Lakefront Brewery tour instead. Heard from multiple people (after the fact) it is better.

Booked the brewery tour. Our tour guides were awesome with wonderful knowledge and upbeat vibes. The history was cool to see and hear about. We got five beer samples, two of which were our choice. The souvenir we got was a Miller beer opener. Wish the tour had more information about the brewing process (like seeing samples of the barley through different stages until we get to the final product). Otherwise, great tour!
