Google
I researched quite a bit to find the best restaurant in Galveston according to locals, and Miller's Seawall Grill was frequently mentioned. Even with high expectations it did not disappoint! First off, it's worth noting that it's been here for 50 years. They're doing something right. And the location is perfect: overlooking the ocean near Pleasure Pier. We loved how broad and interesting the menu was, and that everything we tried was between very good and exceptional. My wife loves seafood but I do not, so I appreciated being able to get her all the seafood she could desire while I got other things I love. A friend we were with said the ribeye was the best steak he'd ever eaten. The biscuits were incredible: melt in your mouth almost like a savory cotton candy. The waffles were so good I ordered them multiple times. They taste like old fashiones donuts. And for those who like seafood but can't choose what they want, there's a very good deal on a king's platter where you can try so many things and can have your seafood blackened, Cajun style, or fried. I loved the historic vibe of the place and the intimate feeling of the restaurant. It's not too big or loud, and it's designed so that almost all the tables have ocean views. Great place to eat, and great for giving gift cards. The friends we've taken have been so impressed!

Google
Grilled Shrimp Galvez appetizer was very flavorful and tasty. The Shrimp & Grits were absolutely phenomenal! My family also enjoyed the Chicken Fried steak an a non-seafood option. Atmosphere was very warm, welcoming and comfortable. Our waitress was very friendly and polite. Loved the hospitality and historic feel of the restaurant!

Google
We had an amazing dinner, service was top notch and food was so delicious!! It was nice to have the option of grilled and not fried. The chocolate pecan gnache brownie was sinfully delicious, the rolls were melt in your mouth and the crab chowder was the best I ever tasted. Nice comfortable atmosphere.

If your looking for a good restaurant, with great food, and great service- dont miss out on Millers. Parking is a little tight, and you may have a short wait.. but its worth it. Breakfast is served all day and you'll understand why. They have a good breakfast menu for just about anyone. Lunch and dinner starts at 11am and we have not been disappointed yet. From seafood, to tender chicken fried steak, its all good. Don't miss out on their sides! The green beans and augratin potatoes were simply delicious and hit the spot. Also, side note- if you like chicken fried chicken, just ask and theyll make it for you. It's not on the menu, but it was truly one of the best I've eaten. The wait staff is very attentive and each server overlaps and helps when needed. Make sure you stop by Miller's anytime you visit Galveston. Oh, did I mention they have a great outdoor balcony with a nice view since they sit right on the seawall. Great Food and a Great View... what else would you want when searching for a good spot to eat!

Google
This was my first time here and the food and service didn’t disappoint! I would have loved for the shades to be up to enjoy a bit more sunlight however the atmosphere was very cozy. I really wanted to try a restaurant that’s not in Houston and I’m so glad that this was my first breakfast spot. I had the lump crap Benedict and my partner had the shrimp and Gouda grits. I couldn’t resist taking a bite of my food before I took the picture lol. I’m looking forward to exploring more of Galveston!

Google
With the number of times I have been to Galveston, we would drive by this place and not realize it was a restaurant. Did a quick Google review and realize I'm missing out of some great food. Arrive early Saturday evening for dinner, was seated quickly. Got our drink order and app fairly quickly also. With help of the waiter, ended up getting the seawall platter and shrimp po boy. I ended up going with blackened shrimp and fish with Mac. It was delicious, along with the large soft roll. Wife only down side was that the po boy didn't have a remoulade sauce to go with the sandwich. Couldn't eat dinner without dessert, their award winning ganache pecan brownie with ice cream. For us there was to much ganache and chocolate sauce, but once we scrap it away and are the brownie it was pretty good. Would def recommend trying this place out if you haven't. I will come back to try other dishes the next time we're in Galveston. Another nice feature was the upstairs outdoor patio where they serve cold drinks with a great view. No need to purchase anything to check out the patio and seating.

Google
Came for breakfast and had only a 20 minute wait which was fine by us. Once seated the service was great too. The food was excellent. Nothing to complain about either. Tasty and big portions. We were so hungry we didn’t get photos of the food. Only sad things was that when we asked for bloody Mary’s our server said they don’t do them until 10am because it’s Sunday?!? And it was as only 9am. Then they don’t do outdoor seating … until summer ?

Google
The fried shrimp and grilled Basa was delicious! My girlfriend had The 16 fried/grilled shrimp and mac &cheese which she really enjoyed. For dessert we had the Peach Cobbler which was fantastic 😋.The service was outstanding and the view of the beach fantastic! Definitely going back on our next trip to Galveston ♥️

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places to visit for breakfast when I'm in town! I'm not sure if it's the history, the food or the family-like atmosphere! I definitely would suggest you arrive early. Yes, you will more than likely have to wait in line, but it is worth the wait. Hours: 8am-8pm. Parking is limited so be prepared. The restaurant is clean, lots of hustle and bustle from the staff to make sure it stays that way too. The restrooms are also clean, that's very important for me personally. Breakfast is always served hot and fresh! The menu offers a variety of items to choose from. If you prefer to eat breakfast later in the afternoon.... This is your place - ALL Day breakfast! Don't care for breakfast! No worries, review the menu! I'm sure you'll find something you would enjoy!

Yelp
Very friendly service and while the parking lot is small, we went at an off time so there were plenty of spots. The shrimp po boy had exactly 8 shrimps and all the condiments come on the side so you can build it yourself. It was pretty fishy tasting. The crab dressing was ok, it had a bit of kick to it when you ate a pepper. The pot roast was good, the chicken and dumpling soup was fantastic. Highly recommended. The potato side was incredibly hard and obviously hadn't been cooked nearly long enough. The fried fish and corn were good as well. To the more important things, the desserts! The peach cobbler was the best I've had in my life. My partner, who doesn't even like peach cobbler, was eating lots of it. Unfortunately the same can't be said about the key lime pie. It was the worst one I've had in my life. It had a ton of meringue (I think) on top and a really thick and bitter crust.

Yelp
Being open for close to a half century hasn't slowed down Miller's Seawall Grill, which has been a destination for both locals and tourists in the ever changing Galveston brunch scene. They've amassed a reputation for consistently churning out great food and service, which is why I try to make it a point to visit whenever I'm in the area. The initial drawback is that parking can be tricky. Their lot only fits a handful of cars and the spaces are extremely tight, so street parking is the reality for most folks. The other drawback for most is the wait time. Whether it's a busy weekend or a weekday, there's always going to be a crowd. Whether one can beat the rush really depends on luck and time, the latter of which is probably the safer bet. (#1). While it doesn't look particularly large from the outside, they've surprisnigly made the interior layout work well for a dedicated waiting area and a good number of seating options in the dining room. The vibe is 100% a throwback in time, which only adds to its charm. Bonus points for anyone who gets a view of the water / beach. There may be some initial sticker shock for first timers or perhaps long time locals who are used to times before foodflation became a thing. Since their menu is largely comprised of seafood, items like the fish tacos can run as much as $18 or even a $30 lump crab cake. Even the popular Miller's combo is a cool $35 for 3 choices. The menu is so large and laced with comfort food options that it shouldn't be hard for anyone to find something they would enjoy. I've found a lot that I loved. The crab and corn chowder cup ($7) is so tasty that I'd prefer a bowl ($14) instead. Other occasions I'd prefer their gumbo, which had a solid roux, and plenty of flavor. Their hash browns ($4) are the kind of I love the most: crispy, buttery, and the centerpiece to any quality brunch meal. As other places move onto patties, home fries, or breakfast potatoes, places like this deserve the nod for having mastered this lost art. The lump crab benedict ($21) is indulgent but a nice treat for anyone who loves a killer hollandaise and a solid amount of crab meat. I also strangely loved their bacon and pancakes ($9), the latter of which was fluffy and incredibly satisfying. While the the crab balls are a solid appetizer choice as a half order ($7), one that I'd probably avoid in the future is the shrimp and grits ($21), which were underwhelming and a tinge too greasy and salty. While others may feel otherwise, the service (#2) has always been excellent during my experiences. They've been attentive, have provided soup samples, and have given my group and I quality recommendations across the board. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and can't wait to make a bigger dent into their menu. __________ (#1) Real talk: Yelp Waitlist here would be *so* useful. (#2) Everyone has been nice, but an extra shout out to Blanca.

Yelp
Always a five star experience. The menu is what home cooking should be. I usually get breakfast but they have amazing dishes. Make sure you get there early because there will be a wait. The weekends can be crazy. Don't forget a dessert. You may not have enough room to eat it there but take it to go. It will be worth the wait.
google avatar

Amanda O.

Yelp
After a long day of enjoying the beach we came here for dinner. The wait was okay and not too long for a Saturday night. They have seating for waiting and beepers to keep the line organized. Now FOOD!!! They have a great selection of seafood and other items if you are not a seafood kinda person. I did not order an appetizer, but you should definitely get one with a large crowd. They also have gumbo you can try and a little bit on the spicy side. You can also order this in a cup or bowl. For the actual entree I had the 1/2 grilled shrimp and 1/2 fried shrimp with hush puppies and okra. I like that you can choose the way you want your shrimp cooked. You also have a large variety of sides you can choose from too. I did not have room in my stomach, but the dessert looked yummy! I will definitely be back to try the breakfast and dessert! Non seafood lovers: They also have a variety of food you can choose if you are not into seafood from salads to burgers!

Yelp
Have been here before for Breakfast, I had to try their Dinner. A 15-20 min wait was so worth it! Once seated, we had a view of the water which was nice. We started with the Crab balls, very tasty and good, my husband got the burger, cooked to perfection. The Shrimp and Grits were very good, but could have had a bit more juice, but the portions were very adequate, both taking home leftovers:)

Yelp
Beautiful place with the perfect view. This brunch place had lots of reviews and we decided to try out on a Sunday morning. It was a long wait as stated in reviews but the experience was definitely worth it. We got a table facing the beach and it such a perfect view while dining. They are popular for their crab lump cake which was good but it kinda made me sick later on. Not sure why. Great service and ambience

Yelp
Miller gives a very accurate take on southern comfort diner along the seawall. Be warned, parking may be a bit more limited on busier weekends. You may have to talk a little bit further away. But the restaurant itself is very spacious and has plenty of seating. The staff was very friendly and tended to our table very often. We had shrimp grits, seared hash browns, and crab lump. My favorite was the crab lump! The crab meat feeling felt very fresh and richly flavored. Hash browns were extra crispy and gives a very satisfying bite!
google avatar

Phuoc N.

Yelp
Miller's is a great place for comfort-diner-southern-vibes along the seawall. Seating was expeditious but parking may be an issue during busier hours. There is very limited parking on the side of the restaurant. We went during a weekday and so this was not an issue. Once you're able to get in, seating and service was very fast. Our waiter was very friendly and proactive. She frequently returns to check up on us for refills and conversed a bit. We ordered the Shrimp Grits. This was my first time having grits, they were very... gritty; which I think is the intention. The shrimp and mushrooms feel fresh. So a win. The Crab Lump was mostly success! It was rich, moist, and well flavored. Although, I would have wanted just a little more crab in my lump. The hash browns were extra crispy and exactly to my liking.

Yelp
Tourist trap! Group of four guys, all non-picky eaters, and we all got something different. Cocktails were just kinda "meh"... unimpressive kindly describes them. I got a lump crab salad and it came with minimal crab, a few chopped baby carrots on a salad bed -- meh. Buddies all said their meals just weren't that great. Not bad, just not memorable especially for the prices you're paying. The bright spot is the inside decor with some historical pictures and other fun "sea wall" expecting things. Pass, hit the next best spot you see.

Yelp
Anytime we come to Galveston we have breakfast at Millers. Classic food, good quick service and reasonable prices. We get there pretty early to avoid a wait, but have yet to be disappointed!

Yelp
You're going to have to call Ripley's Believe It or Not for one. I'm a BOI (Born on the Island) who lived in Galveston for nearly 30 years until Hurricane Ike in 2008, but today was the first time I ever ate at this renowned beachside eatery. I decided to come here after my late morning stroll along the Seawall. So, for my maiden meal, I went with the lunch plate consisting of fried shrimp, sautéed mushrooms, and buttered corn. Boy howdy! I don't know what possessed me not to enter this place for a mighty long time, but I'm so glad I did. The shrimp tasted top notch. There was no trace of seawater gameyness (is there even such a word?). Just crustaceans that were nicely battered, seasoned, and fried. The mushrooms and corn were an ample size and nice complements to the entrée. The lunch special section of the menu listed a variety of dishes with either beef, pork, or poultry, which piqued my interest. But I'll have to try one of them after Easter since I gave up meat for Lent. I had Diego for a waiter, and he did exceptional despite it being oh-so busy when I was there. The other staffers seem pretty nice from what I observed. Miller's has been around since way before I was born. Point of fact, it opened in 1976. The building it's in is a very familiar sight to Galvestonians of a certain age. Inside, diners and guests get a feeling like they're aboard a vessel that was built a century ago. Aside from delicious food and excellent service, there's the beautiful Gulf of Mexico -- NOT AMERICA -- in front of it all to enjoy when the weather's cooperative. That said, I ought to check out the upstairs deck next time. And yes, the restaurant deserves a next time and more.

Yelp
When my family was in Galveston, TX, 5 of us placed a carryout order from Miller's Seawall Grill for dinner on my brother's birthday. They told us it would be 15 minutes and we were surprised because we have waited longer than that for a pizza order. This restaurant is located close to the beach and we were not able to find parking so my brother waited in the car while I went in and picked up the food. Sure enough, our order was ready when I arrived. The woman who greeted me was really nice. We were charged a $3.95 "to go charge" that I wasn't aware of, but I know some people don't tip well so I didn't dispute it (we did tip in addition to the fee). The food was packaged really well so we didn't check our order until we got to the house, but our order was accurate. They even included dinner rolls that we were not expecting. We all thought the food tasted really good. I had the quesadilla and gave some to my nephew and still didn't eat it all. I would definitely eat here again if I am ever in the area. The interior looked inviting, so I would like to try dining in as well.

Yelp
Came here years ago and the food was good but the crowd was squeezed in so tight you could barely get up and down from the table. Finally gave it another shot for breakfast and it was very good food and much less crowded. Service by Kayden was friendly and efficient. Food came out quickly and was delicious with ample portions. Will probably try lunch next time

Yelp
The Miller Seawall Grill is located right across the street from the Gulf of Mexico in Galveston. Parking is difficult since it appears quite limited. The building looks historical and Victorian type feel to it - lots a deep beautiful colored wood. They offer all day breakfast, seafood menu, and other items. The staff were friendly but busy and we never received the refills we asked for a couple times. The Cajun seasoned grilled fish and shrimp was good. The fried fish and shrimp was okay, burger and mac-n-cheese was good, but chicken tenders, fries, and onion rings tasted liked they were cooked in the same grease as the seafood. The salad was fresh but very plain - chopped lettuce 2 cherry tomatoes, 2 baby carrots, and 2 croutons - and unimpressive. For the price it wasn't worth it to us.
google avatar

Jen B.

Yelp
This place came highly recommended and is right on the beach. However the wait times were VERY LONG and I didnt see an option to make an advanced reservation online. We waited over an hour, and about 20min past "closing" time to be seated. The food was decent and the wait for food once ordered was short. The place was pretty but I wouldnt recommend coming here with preteen kids who are tired because of the wait.
google avatar

Yelp
I consider myself a connoisseur of shrimp and grits. I enjoy eating them in every coastal city possible. I will say u equivocally that these were my absolute favorite. Side note: they do NOT have a sauce. But that's fine bc you absolutely do not need one. I got it fajita style with the onions and mushrooms. It was the perfect addition. The grits were phenomenal and there were small pockets of gooey Gouda. Cannot say enough good things. No kids menu. We ordered our 5 year-old the mini plate with grilled chicken. It was such a relief not o have to endure another chicken tender. The grilled chicken was perfect and he devoured it. The side of mac n cheese was very creamy. My husband was craving a burger and said it totally hit the spot. Service was excellent. We also got a half order of hush puppies and they were awesome. The beer battered fries were also amazing!
google avatar

Yelp
Went to eat the night before our cruise. Had to wait for a seat, which was well worth it. The atmosphere was awesome. The server got our order almost as quick as we were seated and he kept our drinks full and made sure we didn't need anything. The food came out pretty quick and was hot and delicious. Definitely a recommendation...

Yelp
We went here today for an early dinner. There were two of us and we were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. The manager(Anna) maybe was cool with a quick sense of humor that made feel comfortable. Our server(Michelle) there quickly and took our drink and as soon as she brought them we gave her our order. She was really nice and friendly as we were joking about this being our first time to eat here. We both ordered the same thing. My wife got the grilled fillet and shrimp with mushrooms as her side and I got the fried fish and shrimp with fried okra. The food was hot and fresh and tasty. If the ratings had 5 more stars, I would give them a 10. If you're in Galveston, you need to eat here at least once. You will be back.. One more item, the manager had to chase me out the door to give me my cap that I left on the table. Thank you!!

Yelp
Literally front row seats to the seawall!! My family and came around opening time on a Saturday morning and it was already getting busy. There is a parking lot, but it's limited. We were seated immediately in a corner with a slight view of the seawall. Service was prompt and friendly. Food: * Two Eggs with Meat: Hash browns were the favorite. Very crispy. The Texas toast was simple, but yummy with jam. * The Commodore: Pancakes were fluffy and biggg We had a quick stroll to the beach after our meal just to enjoy the view. Beautiful location.

Yelp
We've been dreaming about Millers crab stuffing for 7 years since we last had it. It unfortunately did not live up to our expectations and was a bit of a let down. The restaurant is pricey and the food was not anything out of this world. However, the service was beyond amazing. Our server was polite, helpful, and just a delight! My purse was left behind and everyone was honest and helpful when I learned I left it behind. I appreciate that more than anything. The restaurant was clean and we were seating quickly.

Yelp
45 min wait to get seated. Sat upstairs and enjoyed the view of the ocean while waiting. Place has historic vibe. Victorian style building and early 1900s style inside with wood and tile. But around since 1970s. Place has a musty smell that was off putting. It sorta smelled like urine. Waffles have "sugar pearls" in them. So very stiff and disgustingly sugary. Not the light & fluffy type of waffle I enjoy. Sandwhich was okay but hashbrowns were flavorless. Bacon was cooked nice. Not too crispy. Overall it was okay but the smell kinda puts me off where I don't want to return.
google avatar

Leslie W.

Yelp
If you want great food at a great price that will fill you up for the entire day, this is the place! It's a Galveston institution with some of the nicest people working there
google avatar

Diana D.

Yelp
Clearly a favorite of tourists and locals alike. Miller's was packed with a 30 minute wait on a weekday. The food was mostly standard home cooking. My rub is that they served instant potatoes. This place certainly has the volume for real mashed potatoes to make sense. Two of our group got big breakfasts and were super satisfied with their choices. One also had some crazy specialty waffle that was out of this world. He made everyone in our group of six try it and we all agreed.
google avatar

Celina G.

Yelp
Long wait, wonder plan according. We were told 45min- 1hr wait and that was about right. A bit over an hour- but shrimp and grits are awesome.
google avatar

Pam M.

Yelp
Food, service and ambience was perfect! We were in Galveston for a karate tournament and I yelped good ratings for seafood. We had ate fried the night before and settled for grilled here.

Jamie G.

Yelp
The food is always incredible. The service is friendly. The ambiance is home town feel. Born and raised in Galveston this will forever be my favorite. Parking stinks but everything else is five star!
google avatar

Traci S.

Yelp
Service was fantastic! They were super busy, so we waited 30 minutes. Once we got to our table the server was wonderful and the food arrived quickly. The food was just ok. Its a bit bland. Its like nice Golden Corral or hospital cafeteria. No sauces or seasoning or freshness. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't very good. Other than the lump crab dip, which was really not good, and over priced. Everything else was reasonably priced for the area for what it was.

Elizabeth P.

Yelp
I asked for over easy eggs. I told the server to tell the cook how to do this. I haven't had over easy eggs cooked correctly in over 10 years. I moved from Michigan to Louisiana and it seems they don't have very many breakfast. Restaurants down there. We're on vacation in Galveston, and found Miller's. When I say those eggs came to me, perfect, I mean perfect. The server said she told the chef extra extra extra over easy. I sometimes just call it over slimy, so that they would get it right. Well, he sure did! That and being right there on the golf was the highlight of my whole vacation! Thank you, Chef and server. Of course with my memory, I don't remember their names sorry. But, if anybody remembers this, please add their names to this review!

Yelp
We were in Galveston for 1 day before a cruise and found this spot on Yelp. Right on the Seawall, great service and breakfast was to die for. Have the waffles, they are the best waffles we've ever had - loaded with sugar pearls - you won't be disappointed !! If I'm ever in Galveston again, this wil be our go to spot for breakfast.
google avatar

Yelp
After the hour wait, it was well worth it! The Food did not disappoint. It was amazing, our waitress was awesome! She was very helpful and so funny! Everyone here is so courteous! The place reminds of an old diner. If you're in the area this is a Must go!

Yelp
Ambiance: (5/5) Great seating. You can sit by a window and see the beach. Price: (4/5) Seems about average for the area. Might be a little bit more expensive, but I feel like it's justified. Food: (5/5) The biscuits are so amazing. They are soft and perfectly baked every time. We got one to start and then had to get another. I got the lump crab Benedict, which wasn't a typical Benedict, but it was so good. The crab cake was seasoned well, the eggs were perfectly cooked, and the sauce onto was amazing. The Moby Dick had hash browns, eggs, bacon which were all good. The highlight was the biscuit and the French toast. The French toast was heavy on the cinnamon, but I really enjoy that. Service: (5/5) Great service even though it was pretty busy.
google avatar

Marian G.

Yelp
This is a busy, but not too noisy, little restaurant. We had oysters and fried chicken. Hubby loved the oysters and my chicken also was delicious. There is no hard liquor served here so the margarita was a wine based version which was ok. Our server was pleasant and friendly. We will be back.

Yelp
Miller's never disappoints. From the food to the service... and the atmosphere! I am telling you: the word "no" is not on the menu - they will accommodate you in every way. This place is wonderful! There is sometimes a wait, but it is worth it! The full menu is available all day every day. You can have breakfast for dinner or dinner for breakfast. LOVE IT!

Yelp
Amazing experience! This place provides affordable fresh seafood and the food is outstanding! Local must try! This place was packed and the service was the best in town! Food came out super fresh and hot! We ordered: * fried shrimp and oysters with potatoes 5/5- fried shrimp was crispy and I love that it was lightly batter. Love that the batter was seasoned and let the shrimp shine as the star! Shrimp cooked to perfection and everything you want in a fried shrimp! It wasn't oily and was perfect! It looked not great but tasted superior! The oysters was juicy and batter was crispy and crunchy love it! Definitely will order this again! * seafood gumbo 5/5 - spicy level was on point and tasted like homemade gumbo from home! Delicious and highly recommended! Also you can ask the waiter for a sample of the gumbo! Our waiter brought a sample to us without us asking. He was so intuitive and wanted to make sure we liked it before ordering it and wasted gumbo. I love never experience this before and appreciate the zero food waste! Our waiter Lelan went above and beyond to make us feel so welcome and taken care of! He truly was so intuitive and went above and beyond for service. We appreciated his hospitality and would come back just for him. The food being delicious is a bonus! * peach cobbler pie--- 5/5! RUN and get this! Hands down one of the best homemade peach cobbler pie I've ever had! It was so good and I can't stop thinking about it! The crunchy crumbles, peaches, caramel, and cake was .... Life changing! It's served with vanilla ice cream with was oh my ... heaven in a bowl! If only I could get this FedEx to my home I would! Do I recommend this place? Absolutely MUST try! Local favorite and amazing food! I love that the owners open this restaurant with the intent to provide fresh seafood at an affordable price! You can taste the love in each plate! We can't wait to come back! The sangrias are good too!

Yelp
Seems there is a lot to be improved this last time we visited. Ignoring the small parking lot, long wait times, and a limited waiting area, the core of the restaurant around its food and service were also lacking. I had a lot of difficulty understanding our server and much of the food came out wrong. We felt somewhat rushed and didn't really get checked on much, perhaps because it's so busy? Food was relatively quick coming out with the exception of one dish that had to be redone. And with all the mistakes, there wasn't too much of an effort for all the inconvenience aside from some apologies and blaming management. As for the food itself, the menu felt repetitive and while there are some grill items, it's the minority. I also wrongly assumed it's a seafood spot being so close to the water, and found next to no fish options outside of basa. Nothing really stood out for me and felt largely like cafeteria food. Only if there was a significant change to the menu, would I return.

Yelp
The entire restaurant was decorated for Halloween, which I loved. It's very popular, so there was a little bit of a wait. We wanted a table with an ocean view window and got it. Our server was very attentive and charming. The restaurant ceiling has beautiful woodwork, and has an elegant feel. My dinner was good, but not amazing. Asking the chef not to use onion and garlic sometimes has that effect. My shrimp and mushrooms were cooked well, if a little bland. My baked potato was well done, though it was weird that all of the toppings came on the side. I ordered a slice of the Italian cream cake to go. The cake was soft and fluffy, but there was not enough icing, and it was too fluffy, not dense like traditional Italian cream cake.

Yelp
This place is a MUST GO TO! I travel a lot for work and Miller's has some of the best flavor I've had in a while for seafood! The Gumbo is what Gumbo should taste like! I also had the grilled shrimp with garlic and onions! Fresh and so flavorful! The Au Gratin potatoes are a MUST HAVE! Cheesy and gooey in the best ways. I also had a side of the fried okra. Light and tasty batter provided a nice crunch to the not soggy okra inside! Perfectly done! Will definitely come back next time I am in Galveston!

Yelp
This is such a great spot right on the seawall with a great ocean view. We went to the top bar and top deck and it was a really lovely view with good drinks. However, they don't do liquor/full bar, but they have premade wine and margaritas mixed up top on the roof as well as beer. The service is really friendly and the food was really solid for our food on the beach. They have a kids menu and it's a kid friendly establishment.

Yelp
I come here for the liver & onions. It's delicious and reminds me of my childhood and my grandparents. The service is great even when they're super busy.

Yelp
The atmosphere here is perfect for being beachside. The food here was excellent and I mean 5 star excellent. If you do make it past their huge entrees, I would highly recommend one of their 3 award winning desserts. I recommend the Peach Cobbler or the Chocolate Gnache Pecan Brownie. After consuming you WILL need to go lie down for a bit. They are supurb! The staff here has always been friendly, efficient and always helpful with the menu. For a perfect Galveston Island meal head to Millers!

Yelp
First visit to this restaurant for breakfast. Parking is very limited. Waited about 10 minutes to be seated. Opted for 2egg breakfast with bacon and biscuit and poblano and egg breakfast with a coffee and a mimosa. Biscuit was large and one of the best I've eaten in awhile. Everything else was tasty and service was outstanding. Took a slice of key lime pie to go which was also very tasty. Will go back next visit to Galveston Beach.

Yelp
Everyone was very friendly and the food was great. We had our 11 month old son with us and everyone loved saying hi and even brought out his food before ours so we could get him settled without having to let our food sit! It wasn't very busy, so we got sat right away and were able to look out at the water and enjoy a quiet breakfast. If you come, you absolutely cannot skip the homemade biscuits or the mimosas!

Yelp
My SIL shares the name so of course Miller's was a must. Beers were cold and food was excellent. My oyster po boy was overflowing with fried oysters and the bread magnificent. The fries were awesome. If you're hungry, the Miller's platter will feed a bunch. Server was cool. Definitely warrants a return trip.

Yelp
We missed this location on our last trip to Galveston. Greatly decorated, fabulous staff, and a great menu. As a senior, we sure appreciate the senior menu offering, and the food was fantastic!!

Yelp
The place has a great location very easy to get to especially from my hotel . The service was fast and friendly and the food was good but nothing exceptional. It had a typical beach atmosphere. Do you know that the bar upstairs is not a full bar.

Yelp
It was our first time but definitely not the last! It was busy during spring break but it was worth the wait. This place had something for everyone which is sometimes hard to do. The kids got the French toast which needed no syrup and the kids practically licked their plates clean. The grilled shrimp plate hit the spot too. I split it as it was plenty of food for two. Fresh and flavorful! The dining room has an old house vibe and all the windows brought in tons of light and views of the ocean. It was a great lunch experience!
