Milo's Pita

They were super nice but my food did take longer than what it said online...also they heavily season my chicken with turmeric if I didn't have the fried and sauce and everything to mix in with it wouldn't been all tumeric flavor and that's it. But the fries are delicious and the pita is too! I do recommend going in or calling for the best price though Postmates and Uber prices are a few dollars more per item.

When I saw Milo’s was coming back, the excitement was next level 🔥🔥 After 2–3 years, the move from Broadway & Sheridan to Morse felt like a big change — but let me tell you, they still got it! The hype? Still real. The food? Still fire. I grabbed a Shawarma Wrap (only $5 on Tuesdays 😮‍💨) and it was so worth it. If you’re into Middle Eastern food and craving some ice cream after, Milo’s is the spot. Don’t sleep on it!

I live around the corner and was excited to try a new spot in the hood. If you're familiar with the area, you know things don't stick around long and we could use some tasty diverse food! I am originally from Dearborn, Michigan where we have the largest middle Eastern population outside the Middle East. Basically what I am trying to say is I am picky, so picky about middle Eastern food, I tend to avoid it even though I LOVE it so much, because it's never quite as good as the food from home. I was shocked by how good it all was. Flavorful, made fresh to order, authentic, large portions, good prices, delicious! Could you want more? We ordered the chicken taj shawarma, fattoush salad, falafel, baba gannoush & garlic sauce (is a must!) The sandwich came with fries which are always welcomed, traditional pickles and a few sauces (thin & hot sauce). The marinade on the chicken was so so flavorful! I am not going to lie, this might be the best Lebanese food I've had in Chicago in ages. Everyone who worked there were super sweet and accommodating. I highly suggest supporting this business so it will stick around! I am very excited to try this again and have a great option within walking distance. It isn't much to look at from the outside, but it is well worth checking out, I promise!

Great local Mediterranean restaurant, very clean, well lit, friendly staff (Thank you, Lilly!). They have delicious Chicken shwarma, fresh Mediterranean salads, and Hershey's Ice Cream in different flavors (Mindnight Caramel River and Cofee Cappuccino, just to name a few items on their menu. Our food was prepared fresh and everything tasted great!

I love this restaurant. My favorite dish is the chicken kabob, This dish was a culinary revelation; I'd recommend it to anyone. I felt genuinely welcomed from the moment I walked in, thanks to the friendly and professional service. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed meal. The owner is very nice and friendly. I would give this restaurant 10 stars if I could. This restaurant I Highly recommended.

first time trying Milo’s since it opened. The staff were very friendly, the restaurant nice and clean, the pricing not bad! we got take out and ate at home. When we got home and opened our boxes, we were surprised by the portions and how delicious it looked! the food was incredible, definitely worth the price! will be returning for sure.

I ordered the Arabic style Beef Shawarma that came with fries, lentil soup, and rice. Everything was superb! I’ve tried all types of shawarmas around the city and nobody has come close to making it taste as delicious as Milo’s. My husband ordered the regular beef shawarma and said it was just as delicious. Not to mention the food was served fast as well. The service was just as phenomenal and courteous. The gentleman taking our order put our drinks and hummus on the house. Will definitely be returning again and again. I highly suggest this place if you love great food and wonderful customer service.

Wow...What happened? I was so excited to see this new spot open in Rogers Park but honestly that was some truly terrible food. I hope this is just because it's a new opening and they haven't ironed out all the kinks yet but if that is the case then have a sign saying soft opening and discount the food if it's this lackluster. On a good note the people working the counter are nice and that deserves a star...Ok it all ends there now on to the badly prepared food. Where do I begin...I ordered beef and chicken shawarma plates (to go) because I figured this couldn't be messed up from a place like this. Boy was I wrong...Both meats, chicken and beef were dry beyond repair...I mean overcooked In a way that it felt like it was done on purpose...I took 2 bites and thru it all in the trash. On to the yellow rice...Yep just as dried out and terrible as the meat...Into the trash it went. Even the shawarma bread was dry and disgusting. The only thing edible on this plate was the salad. The salad was the only thing that was edible. Did I mention even the tzatziki sauce was terrible and I ordered extra sauce...lol It was white and watery and utterly tasteless...I've never had bad tzatziki sauce in my entire life of eating Mediterranean type food from anywhere in the USA or overseas...So this spot hit a first in serving disgusting tzatziki. And this all cost 40 bucks...lol How I wish I would have given this 40 bucks to homeless man I passed on the way and skipped this place. I hope this new spot gets it's act together and can serve decent food or it will be back to being an abandoned spot once again. I will wait about 2 to 3 months before trying again and will post a revised food review if need be...Im sure there had to be a major misfire like they didn't have a cook or something. I hope what I ate today is the not going to be the quality of the cooking going forward...Fingers crossed.

Nice place. Friendly counter folks took my order. Food was tasty and plentiful. Overall a very pleasant experience. I'm in the neighborhood and will definitely go back.

So far great food. I love their shawarma wrap. I don't understand the concept of french fries inside of the wrap so I request to hold the fries. Otherwise it's really good. Looks clean and inviting.

Was very excited for this place to finally open in the neighborhood and I was so disappointed. Ordered a beef shawarma plate that was over $20 and the meat tasted like a leather shoe. Meat was very dry, the pita was brittle and dry, and the falafel was not good. Milo's also sells ice cream as part of the Mike's Ice banner. Ice cream selections were not great and overpriced as well. This place needs a complete reset if it wants to stay open.

The food was really good overall. A great neighborhood spot! The beef shawarma was a little dry but the chicken was perfectly cooked. The veggie wrap was excellent and very saucy which I love. Everyone was really nice and quite speedy (I picked up around 5:30-6pm.) I'll definitely be back to try more menu items!

First time in the new location in Rogers Park. Amazing food! Such a welcome new spot to have in our little corner! Service was top notch, really nice and kind owners. This is a must try. Definitely will be a regular at this delicious place. Had the Chicken Shawarma (have it with fries inside - highly recommend it!) Perfectly cooked with a delicious tahini sauce. Falafel on the side was the perfect addition, Thanks Milo!!!!!

About a year ago a review pops in feed for Milo's claiming their shawarma sandwich is the best around! I was skeptical. Just the boon I needed to discover a new shawarma joint. There are many shawarma joints but not everyone has a great or decent sandwich. Usually just passable. But here, the chef is owning this menu. Since my many visits I've tried their shawarma and Kefta kebab sandwich which is soooooooooooooo friggin' good. Kefta is my favorite, beef shawarma is a close second. Kefta will differ from shawarma in how the meat is prepared. Shawarma is meat on a "spit" grill and is cut into slivers or slices like the meat contained in a gyros. Kefta is ground and mixed with some seasonings and formed into a kabab shape or patty. In the past I had tried their chicken shawarma as well which was forgettable. Most sandwiches are served on pita and few on Saj. If you've seen my reviews of Mediterranean restaurants, saj is a favorite. So, I always try to get my sandwiches on Saj bread if they would allow it. It's got more of a chew feel than a regular pita. Have also tried their burek which is not a spiral but comes in three single pieces of mozzarella wrapped in a longer piece of spring roll wrapper and fried. Something different than typical burek. Almost like a "real thing" version of a fresh mozzarella stick. Different tho good with a tasty side sauce. If stopping in to try, get a lunch special which is paired with a drink and fries. When served you'll notice that "fresh" quality in taste. Milo's sits on a corner with provided parking. They also own a next door business which offers ice cream and snacks during the warmer seasons. The restaurant is run like a carry out. If they got slammed with a rush of seated customers I wonder how they would meet demand. The dining room is better than most of their competitors nearby. Comfortable with good heating during the winter and breezy during warmer months. The pandemic has been rough for many of the restaurants in this locale. So it's my hope that people continue to frequent them and keep it going.

I just ordered here for the first time through UberEats! I was craving Mediterranean, and so I decided to get Milo's Pita for dinner! I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Plate and Hummus. I LOVE that they don't skimp on the chicken. The rice, chicken, and veggies were flavorful!! When combined, all of it complimented well. I really enjoyed the hummus as well. It's homemade and very fresh. I liked the added touch of spices on it too! Pita bread was soft too! I HIGHLY recommend this place for your next Mediterranean takeout! Great prices and deals!! You get a lot for what you pay! I'll be ordering again in the future!

Delicious food and even better customer service. I came in today with no expectations really and ordered the falafel bowl. Will be back. There is also Wi-Fi so a great spot to get work done and have lunch.

They were nice and the food was fresh and it was a good sized sandwich. It was a bit bland so it was a bit disappointing.

This place is DELICIOUS, I highly recommend, I try a new thing every time I eat here and it doesn't disappoint, food is always fresh and yet quick service, they have the best falafel I've ever tried. Very friendly staff too

Great service - friendly owner makes you feel like you are eating at home. I go weekly for lunch and order the falafel wrap. It's fresh, and the tahini sauce is dairy free. The falafel bowl is outstanding; with delicious yellow rice and a fresh salad. There's a sense of perfectionism, and how simple ingredients are executed. They have an amazing deal on Fridays four dollar sandwiches or wraps! Highly recommend.

Another great order cooked to perfection wish could tell you more, but I am drooling like Pavlovs Dogs and have to eat this amazing creation.

If I could, I would eat here at least 2-3 times a week. Food here took me back to a few restaurants in Europe, where the beef was tender, fresh, and good quality meat. The flavor of the meat just hits differently and i keep coming back. The service is just as great as the food being served and the mellow ambient music-makes the experience an even better one to sit down, unwind, and enjoy goodness.

Have been coming here for years. First, when they were in Edgewater, then Arcadia Terrace. Mostly get the sandwiches (which are great) and occasionally a full entree. Everything tastes fresh and nicely cooked. And they're so nice.

If it's good enough for Chicago's Finest, it's good enough for me! Was driving home and saw two of the men in blue talking to the proprietor of Milo's and I knew I had to stop. When I asked the officers what they would recommend, officer number 1 said steak schwarma and officer number 2 said chicken schwarma. Needless to say, I knew that it was going to be a schwarma night. Being a Tuesday, a chicken schwarma sandwich was only $2.99 so chicken it was. I was not disappointed and had a crazy good falafel (or five) as well. Fresh, homemade and the perfect end to the first day of June after moving my son into a new apartment (not how I planned to spend the day but stuff happens). I even brought home some hummus that was out of this world. I think I found my new schwarma spot when I drive home from the city. Thank you officers and thank you Milo's!

Just ordered dinner from here after having such a great customer experience at the ice cream shop next door! We got: Chicken shawarma plate Chicken, beef, & Kefta Kabob plate Fatoush salad Lentil soup Feta fries And I was all good! Meat was tender and all dishes and sauces were flavorful but not too salty

Haven't been disappointed yet. Good food. Nice portions. Friendly service. Last time I had 3 way combo with beef shawarma Jetta kabob and beef kabob with side of tabbouleh salad. More than enough to share with others....but didn't.

Fresh, Delicious with generous portions! When I order this place I know I will have dinner for 2 nights :) Looove the BBQ Shwarma Plate and also love that their pita bread is a bit thinner! You can reheat it for crunch the next day as well! :)

Milo has the best seasoned beef shawarma. Been here a few times and the service is phenomenal! The food here taste great and the salad is always fresh! Very nice vibe the place and music gives off..

Diamond in the rough. The food that was available was delicious! Hubby and I both had the dinner bowls. Mine was vegetarian and his was chicken. Honestly food was very fresh and well priced. I was sad that they were out of a few different appetizers but I can understand that they're difficult to prepare and thus them telling me that they're out of this or that actually makes sense. It's small kitchen and small dinning room. Cozy really. They don't have table service really but I enjoyed my meal immensely. Hubby is a picky eater and he enjoyed it as well. Check them out. Give them a chance. They're worth it.

Great Tuesday special on chicken shawerma sandwich and Friday for falafel sandwich for $2.99. Sandwiches are wrapped in foil, but the fries did get boxed in styrofoam - wish there was an alternative - for me foil would have kept them warm and if not wrapped too tightly, kept their crisp - but I'm guessing their foil sheets are precut and are two small for an order of fries. Eggplant and falafel sandwich needed a little more flavor which the hot sauce provided - also the cucumber in that day's batch that wound up in my sandwich was much more bitter than normal. Yeah, unfortunate - would require either trimming the stem end (assuming rest was ok) and/or taste checking cucumbers past the stem end for the odd case of a whole bitter cucumber. Chicken shawerma sandwich has great flavor, juicy chicken, and a great deal on Tuesdays. Self-serve fountain drink station available for filling own to go (or when dine-in is restored after pandemic shelter-in-place). Also thrown in, plasticware and also two hot sauces - can ask them not to include if wanted to spare the plastic.

Milo, the owner, is incredibly sweet! Great food was served! I selected a two-course meal that included chicken shawarma and chicken kabab. That was a lot for only one person! highly advisable P.S:- thank you for the water Milo :)

Received an order from here not too long ago. The food was very tasty!. Well seasoned, good portions. And, the salad is much better than I have had from similar restaurants; it was delicious, very nice dressing, good presentation and chopping of vegetables, fresh ingredients. The hummus was a bit disappointing as it was not as well seasoned and tasty as some of the other items we had. Overall, I recommend this place (just have a bottle of hot sauce on the side to add some zing to the hummus)

I called in for a pick up and immediately customer service was excellent! When I arrived customer service exceed my expectations, this was my first time at this establishment but it won't be the last. I ordered the Chicken Fatoush salad which I've had on two other spots and this is by far my favorite.. Thank you

My daughter had been telling me about this place for awhile now so when the hubby had been craving chicken kabob and me, hummus, I figured, why not. We ordered the 3 skewer special where you could choose your own skewer meat. We chose beef and 2 chicken kabobs to split. It came with rice and a nice chopped salad. I also tacked on a lentil soup and a small hummus. I gotta say, there wasn't anything I didn't think was just great and fresh tasting. I was really impressed. The beef was tender and the chicken wasn't mealy or chewy. It was perfect. That hummus...more, please. We'll be back.

We recently stopped in at Milo's Pita in search of a late Saturday lunch. I had not heard of Milo's prior to our visit, but we were pleasantly surprised by our Mediterranean food. After you order at the back counter and pay up, you get a buzzer so you can wait for your order with relative peace of mind. The wait for our dine-in order was only a few minutes, as the casual restaurant supported a steady but not overwhelming flow of customers on this afternoon. A mix of Phil Collins and Elton John cuts were later replaced by some Arabic-sounding music during our time spent eating. We each ordered the kefta sandwich wrap with ground beef kefta meat, onion and tomato. Each wrap came with a small cup of tahini sauce and hot sauce. I am typically a big fan of kefta meat, and this had a solid if not spectacular flavor. We also ordered a couple of sides. The fries were crispy and potato-ey (is that a word ??) and tasted good when dipped in either of the sauces or ketchup. If you like fried mozzarella sticks, give the cheese bourak a try. You get three pieces of cheese bourak in an order, and indeed the gooey cheese filling is contained in egg roll shells that provide a satisfying crunch. Milo's Pita is on Broadway not far from the Granville Red Line station. On Tuesdays they have a chicken shawarma wrap special for $3 which sounds like a good deal.

One of the best middle eastern restaurants in the Chicago area! I love coming here, the food tastes exactly like back home. And milo is such a nice guy, you won't regret coming here and trying the food. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

It's odd seeing bad reviews , my wife and I had a great experience with the staff being attentive and nice. We had the lunch specials, which is a great deal for not only the amount you get but for the quality and taste. The soup, chicken shawarma, baba ghanoush and hummus were all delicious! The restaurant is clean with nice ambiance. We had a great experience overall. Please go, you won't be disappointed.

Delicious Greek salad and Persian fries. Mike's ice cream is connected to Milo's and serves Hershey brand ice cream!! Lots of gluten free choices! The owners of both establishment are so kind! Thanks Milo and Mike!!

Best chicken shawarma ever. Their hummus is amazing. Their rice is incredible. I used to eat here 2-3 days a week. I've been coming here for almost 10 years I was literally depressed when I came back in town after living out of state and not seeing Milo's on Broadway. My second trip home I accidentally found the new location in Lincolnwood. The best accident ever!...aside from my birth

Great quality and great portions with their plates. Some of the best beef shawarma and chicken kabob. Rice is very tasty as well. I would recommend this place.

This is our new favorite middle-east carry out. The food is fantastic and plentiful. The falafel are not dry. The hot sauce is spicy but authentic (not Frank's red hot like some places are using these days). The pita is fresh and large. The tabouleh is good too. We usually get 2 shwarma, 1kefta, 10 falafel, hummus, and tabouleh and that feeds our family of 5 for dinner and a few leftover lunches. The owner Milo is nice and personable, and the woman working the register is also very pleasant. I hope you'll all go there and help keep this business in our neighborhood.

We always order the beef shawarma entree, hummus and lentil soup. The beef shawarma is about average quality for the price -- A little dried out --- BUT -- very good in comparison to other options in the nearby area. Hummus is very good and so is the soup. I always order (pay for) extra tahini sauce for the shawarma and do not always get it. So be sure to check your order before you leave. I give Milos a B+.

Bomb. Period. I ordered the falafel sandwich and added hummus in my sandwich. The falafel sandwich came out super fresh, nice and hot and wrapped neatly in a pita wrap. The sauces are so tasty as well! Also they hella specials as well during the week such as Friday 2.99 falafel wrap, 5 dollar bowls where you can add protein, rice, salad, sauce. Also Tuesday is shawarma wraps for 2.99. Good music too while you wait!

Visited this neighborhood joint last week- it has merged with the ice cream store so they now have Milo's pita and Mike's ice together in one space. They have tables inside and outside, which is such a bonus on a nice day. The menu selection and price are both excellent. I ordered hummus, chicken kabob and grilled vegetables. The owner was super nice and generous to not charge me for the veggies, even gave me extra pita and Baba Ghannouj. Everything was fresh and tasty, super satisfied and I will definitely come back!

The food was very authentic and tasty. If you get the lunch special the prices are not bd. What lost 2 stars for me was that both the soda machine and rest room were out of service. I like to sit and read but with the bathroom broken I had to leave. Again I state the the food was probably 4 stars.

Definitely the most amazing Mediterranean Pita I have ever eat!! The pita and kabobs are really delicious. We order a beef one and a chicken one. Both are great and juicy!! More amazingly, the owner is really really really kind!! It's our first time to come in during a noon. He is really kind to introduce foods and recommendations to us. And he give us for free for a lentil soup, Baba Ghannouj, and a coke!

Milo's has good lunch specials during the week. It is a local business with good food and a friendly staff.

Food is good. But this restaurant only has single-use styrofoam plates/cups and single-use plastic silverware. Look at how much waste is generated from a single meal. None or almost none of this is recyclable. This is unacceptable for the environment.

Called numerous times to place an order, they never answered the phone. Yelp stated Milos was open at the time I was calling.

Ordered beef and chicken shawarma plates, Kafta kabob plate, tabouleh and fattoush salads, falafel, fries, baba ganoush and hummus. All were great! My personal favorite was the Kafta- very tender and flavorful! Will be back!

Milo went out of his way to make my husband's birthday surprise a full success. From the beginning the communication and guidance in food choices were terrific, he provided a nice discount and followed up the day before and again when the driver left to deliver the food. The food itself was phenomenal and the guests were asking who catered the party. The left overs were great to have the next day. So delicious. I very highly recommend Milo's Pita.

Always consistently delish. The three meat/veggie combo is a deal. There is enough to make a couple of meal unless you are a human vacuum. Sides/apps are great as well.
