I have never felt so unwelcome in a cafe before. My friend and I were sitting on their terrace today studying, when the female owner/manager came over to ask if we had purchased drinks. I found that this was understandable, as people who are sitting on their patio of course should be paying customers. We showed her the drinks that we had purchase and she left. Next, she came over about 15 minutes later, and told my friend and I, as well as the people at the table next to us, that we were taking up too much space. Everyone on the patio had one small table to themselves, but she requested that 2 people share a small table. We explained that we needed the room to study, and she got mad at us and spoke to us in such a disrespectful and angry manner. I explained that had I known I would have been asked to move and have only half a table, I wouldn't have come in the first place. She continued getting angry and eventually walked away. Next, the male owner/manager came over and told us that we would be forced to move and share one small table, or else leave. I am so appalled at the way that we were spoken to, and how often we were disrupted by the awful management. Of course we were not able to properly study when every 15 minutes management was coming over and getting mad at us.
You are MUCH better off going to chai lounge or Cafe st barths across the street, the service and drinks are infinitely better.
