New NYC Restaurant Openings in New York City, February 2025 | Eater NY

"An Eater New York Award–winning Chinese counter-service concept opened a takeout-only stall inside Brookfield Place’s Hudson Eats on February 27, bringing core dishes such as crispy duck rice bowls and pineapple buns to the food court, plus new items like ube crinkle cookies; the brand also operates an original Flatiron restaurant and had a now-shuttered Williamsburg outpost." - Emma Orlow

The Best Dishes Eater Editors Ate This Week, August 2023 | Eater NY

"On a night when I wanted something simple and nutritious, the chile crisp chicken bowl over rice ($15) hit the spot: super-flavorful chicken with scallion mayo and a crunchy tofu seaweed salad with dill; like many fast-casual spots aimed at lunch crowds, there isn’t much atmosphere at night, but the food was exactly what I needed." - Eater Staff

Google
My new favorite spot in Hudson eats. The chili crispy chicken is amazing. So much flavor and it’s just so tasty. It’s a great alternative to all the taco/middle eastern/salad spots. I had the dumplings as well and they were surprised. Def need to try more of their menu but the crispy chicken js so damn good it’s hard not to get it.

9/30/25 This is in the food court of Brookfield Place, 2nd floor. Towards the back. VERY CROWDED during weekdays lunch hours. Mandarin Duck w/ duck fat rice I swapped out the cucumber for broccoli For a fast food restaurant, the duck was not bad. And the duckfat rice is amazing! The broccoli was meh. I would definitely go back.

Google
Me and my four kids felt terrible after eating their chili crisp chicken bowl. The bowl looked healthy but taste was a mixture of all kinds of experimental ingredients (sea weeds+tofu that is not yummy at all+salty chicken+green beans????). As an Asian, I love Korean sea weed soup, eat tofu three times a week. But it was hard to finish the bowl called “Chinese food”.

Google
Strictly reviewing based on my personal experience. I felt bloated after eating their chili crisp chicken bowl. Taste was good and chicken has great texture. It could be something isolated to just me.

Google
Tiger salad is very good but salty. Had with meatballs that were very good. Then had it with salmon and the salmon was mushy and off. Both were generous portions but hope the salmon is not always like that. The fries are yummmy

Google
Milu is my go-to lunch spot whenever I'm visiting our NY office. The Tiger Salad Bowl with crispy chicken and Spicy Cauliflower is absolutely amazing! Consistent flavor and quality make it a must-visit for me every time. Highly recommend!

Google
The service was fast. I went here for lunch and got my meal in 10-15 mins. The bowl seems very healthy. But the flavours are very under par. I got the Sichuan spiced cauliflower.

Google
I love their chili crisp and appreciate the healthy Chinese option at Brookfield Place. but DO NOT order the salmon... it was clearly past its prime and had a disgusting aftertaste and texture.

Yelp
I love the duck and the chicken stock rice. The cucumbers were a hit or miss. The service is good. And it's located inside the high end food court at Brookfield mall. It's slightly o. The expensive side. I recommend

Yelp
Milu is located inside the Brookfield Palace food court and offers a eclectic menu of bowls and salads inspired by regional Chinese flavors. You can choose curated dishes or make your own. Highly recommend to opt for the duck fat rice as base for a custom bowl as it adds delicious complexity to humble rice, and if you like runny eggs like I do go for the extra! The pork & fennel dumplings are also a true standout of flavor. And the service is impeccable, with online orders being ready right on time, and they go above and beyond if some items are sold out.

Yelp
I really liked what I ordered. Chinese food will bored if order Same. I don't eat Chinese in NYC any more but I'm not bored . here is always little different. Spicy Yunnan beef and charred broccoli and tofu coleslaw. Such a good combination! Their spicy sauce is spicy if choose good side you are going to smile what ordered Tofu coleslaw I recommend...never eat tofu coleslaw may be someone don't like but for me it was so good... costumer service is always good even clouded they are nice to people ...

Yelp
Pretty good Chinese place that just opened up in Brookfield Place! Got to try out their signature rice bowls and the first one I tried was the soy roasted chicken bowl and they give a lot of chicken. Portions are a lot. Couldn't really finish it and what caught my eye was the salted egg yolk fries that was the bomb! Those got me really hooked! I didn't even need the sauce to go with the fries. Fries were pretty good on its own. The chicken bowl included a sauce that reminded me of my homemade sauce, the ginger scallion sauce! That's my favorite sauce and I was amazed that they carry that sauce. They got Hong Kong milk tea that is priced a decent rate so going to try that next time. I saw the pineapple buns and they are made differently than your local Chinese bakery but they look very cute though!

Yelp
Milu had recently opened up in the FiDi area, as they also have a location on Park Ave. They describe themselves as offering casual Chinese fare, in which their menu includes shareables, salads, rice bowls, and sides. We tried: +a Hot Duck Bun - with hoisin and scallions +Wontons - comes drenched in a chili soy and vinegar sauces; has 6 pieces +the Yunnan Brisket - as a shareable; these were braised and seared, dressed in a chili garlic mint sauce, served with some marinated cucumbers +the Soy Roasted Chicken - as a shareable; these were marinated and roasted dark meat, served with a ginger scallion sauce and charred broccoli +a Mandarin Duck rice bowl - comes with a dug leg on a bed of duck fat rice, served with hoisin sauce and marinated cucumbers +and, a Chili Crisp Chicken - marinated and chicken chunks with chili crips, scallion mayo, and a tofu seaweed salad Staff were friendly, and the space was busy with to-go items. +friendly service

Yelp
This place is relatively new so the customer service is great. The food is delicious and fresh. I have been buying food from there at least once a week. My favorite dishes are the soy roasted chicken and the Lucky Noodle Salad. Both dishes complement each other very well! I am obsessed with their food because of the freshness of the ingredients and the light, but delicious food.

Yelp
Ordered the noodle salad and duck buns. The noodle salad is not what you'd think it is from other Asian places. It's shredded up vermicelli with cabbage and some other veggies. Had almost no taste, heavily lacking seasoning. The duck buns are a quick skip - could taste they were reheated in an oven or microwave because the center was still cold out of the fridge. Better options available around that food court.

Yelp
This modern Chinese spot is a winner--delicious food, amazing service, and a photo-worthy view! The service is so quick and the staff are wonderful. If you're in a group, you're surrounded by other good options too, but the menu at Milu has something for everyone. The chili crisp chicken is my fave! Crispy, a little spicy, and addictive with the yogurt sauce. It comes with rice and greens so you don't have to feel guilty afterwards! The ginger-scallion steamed fish and marinated chicken are also delicious and healthy options. Delicious food, great vibes, and top notch service. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Very authentic flavors in their proteins. Really like the new soy roasted chicken, lion's head meatballs, chili crisp chicken and fried tofu. The bowl itself is a little pricey but the flavor of the proteins is unmatched. The pineapple bun is also one of the best desserts in the food hall, and very reasonably priced.

Yelp
The amount of salmon was a joke! They must've given me the leftover scraps. Extremely dissatisfied and something I can make much better myself. The pork wontons were good, but will not be going back here. My friend had the chili crisp chicken bowl and said it wasn't great either.

Yelp
The salmon portion is so tiny, it's comical. The dish was also pretty bland. Def not worth $18.

Yelp
Chili crisp chicken bowl was excellent, slaw was fresh and the chicken seasoning was exceptional. pineapple bun was a good addition

Yelp
Visited this place for my first time at Brookfield Plaza for lunch. It did not disappoint. I ordered the Yunnan Brisket Bowl and it was delicious, The flavors were somewhat out of the ordinary but they all worked.

Yelp
Milu is a phenomenal place to eat fast casual Chinese. I came here for lunch. The ambiance was chill (fancy food court). The service was great. The food was fresh, flavorful, and high quality. I recommend the spicy cauliflower bowl, the braised tofu bowl, and the broccoli cremini dumplings.

Yelp
The food was amazing, nice staff and amazing service, and the ambiance is beautiful, I came for a snack and wish I came for breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Yelp
Food super tasty and comes out real quick! Friendly workers too. I recommend the duck, so savory and filling!

Yelp
Staff were fine but I ordered the chicken bowl and the flavor was off. It was very salty and mostly unenjoyable.

Li-Ann B.

Yelp
I got food poisoning from the chili crisp chicken yesterday. While it was tasty not worth feeling so sick afterwards
